Decent Market Hall with a good selection of shop and food vendors, we came from the uk and had a sandwich from Kat’s Deli . It was a great afternoon in all !
Great spot on DeKalb street. Lots of different food options hitting many different cultures. I recommend placing a order at a few spots and do it one right after another considering there is a wait to get your meal ready.
Located in Downtown Brooklyn, DeKalb Market Hall is a hidden gem. The food hall is humongous and the food is very yummy. It has tons of food stalls and good restaurants. You can enjoy on your own of with family. I'm hyped to recommend it!
Great little area with some great food choices. Definitely kept us busy during the snow storm.
Came here for Trader Joe’s then discovered this interesting underground place. Suggest to come with an empty stomach, there are too many restaurants and bars here. Wanna try them all. 😆
This is a must try and a staple in my opinion and sleep on this amazing location I did not have to go far for breakfast, lunch or dinner for my 2 week stay her in NY.
So many amazing food choices. I didn't know where to look first. With the exception of the Moritz french fry place I had no problem with any place else in the food hall.
If you're a foodie looking for inspiration this is the place to visit. So many different cuisine options, not to mention other cool business like Snow Milk (clothing, apparel, accessories). Great for a date as you'll have plenty to talk about.
Was blown away by the great crowd, the variety of food stalls that made it seem you were on a world food journey and reasonable.
A terrific food hall with many great options! The most famous is Katz's for its oversized sandwiches. Fortina pizza makes some of the best wood-fired pizza in New York. You can get other types of ethic foods as well from jerked chicken to Japanese to BBQ. This hall will satisfy everyone's palates. Don't forget to try Guss's pickles, Arepas and Pierogis.
I'm basic! I love food, Trader Joe's and a bookshop. Guess what? It's got all of that. Trader Joe's is always packed and it's got the biggest indoor food market in Brooklyn, or so I've been told. Eat, read, buy more food, be merry!
Very easy to miss as it is located in the interior and have to take an elevator to reach ground level. But once downstairs the whole atmosphere changes array of wonderful eateries & coffee shops selling delicious of various cuisines.
Not over priced nonsense. Stalls are varied and tasty, with good amount of seating. If your in downtown BK go check it out.
Really fun food hall in Brooklyn with tons of options. We were overwhelmed with how many different restaurants and types of cuisine they had. There is ample seating, and most stalls also offer bar seating directly at the stall which we really enjoyed. We sampled four different vendors and they were all delicious. Definitely try a Korean corn dog!
One of my favorite places to go. So hard to choose what to eat. The wings joint is one of my favorite because it's hard to find good wings these days
I am not tired at all of the food court craze that has hit the nation. Especially if they are all as good as this one. They have everything and it’s good. I think the place has great hours and it’s cool that they have a full bar in there as well. The Arepa Lady may have been my favorite but the empanadas and Vietnam place were also outstanding.
Delilah & Andrew have the best customer service I've seen in a couple of years. They give good, fast quick service and conversation which is definitely needed in a society like this. Food was awesome and I left with them on the brain, keep it up guys COWABUNGA👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 SHAKABRAAAAA🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Luv this place they have craft beers they have all types of food from Chinese to polish to pizza to burgers all in a small compact space
Lovely lovely people great food. Let me charge my phone although don’t ask to charge your phone unless you absolutely need to because these are my new deli people love them to death so sweet so fun openly great food fresh friendly.
Absolutely great so many options for food. I'll have to come back at least a few more times. It's really nice having markets like this
A whole lot under one roof, you can spend the day here. You will find good food, drink & entertainment. Love this place and the neighborhood, if you don't find it in the mall you will find it in the neighborhood!
Cute food court with a variety of food options. All the food is great but can be pricey and seating isn't guaranteed. Still love this place.
This little market is awesome. I come here every time I visit Brooklyn. Moritz is my favorite vendor, but all of the ones I have tried are great. It’s such a cool experience and a neat environment. It was the first place I ever went to in New York so it really made an awesome impression of the city on me and showed me a sample of the many different foods it has to offer.
There is a wide variety of food vendors plus a fairly new sixpoint beer hall. The food hall is in the basement.lower level You have to take the escalators down to the food hall. It's always very crowded but you can find any type of food imaginable from Asian food, Venezuelan and West Indian(Jamaican)food. All the food is very high quality and for the must demanding foodie palate. There's also a big bar next to the escape room. I recommend eating at DeKalb Market Hall.
Super trendy underground food court. There is a Trader Joe’s grocery store and then lots of places where you can hang out and eat the delicious different foods from the stalls they have there. And there was even a brewery. You can taste food from famous New York KATZ to original DÖNER Kebab from Berlin and everything in between.
This food hall is fantastic - so many choices including perogies, tacos, empanadas, traditional deli food, donuts, ice cream, froze, sweets, beer, pizza, bagels, cheeses, and the list goes on. Most of the food is delicious - can get a little pricey. The space is well designed and feels “Brooklyn” in that there are lots of neons, reclaimed wood, exposed ceilings, “street art”, steel and the requisite polished concrete floors. Great for families, kids and adults. Highly recommend if you’re trying to suit different tastes and appetites.
A great place to grab diverse food enjoy the ambiance and music, and the people were very kind and helpful. This time we stopped at @FatFowlnewyork is a comfort food very well done the black fried rice with the Mac and cheese is amazing. Also, their oxtail grilled cheese is TO DIE FOR (meaning that you must try it). Wait was a lot in line, almost 1 hour and 40 minutes on a Saturday evening, so be ready they are some hype. They have some seats available at the counter where you can enjoy the view while the cooking, but as recommendations, if you have a party of 2 or more, grab one is the table on the side while the others just order, there's drinks and beverage for selection but it will depend on the service, meaning that if they have a lot of costumers may not be possible so enjoy the fortes.
Well you would be hard pressed not to find something you like. From a bakery to great coffee Tacos, Ramen, Cheese shop, Paella, Sushi, Barbecue, Pizza, Shanghai-street food, bagels, mini donuts, crepes etc... I went there to go to Han Dynasty which I will review separately and was amazed to see how much is squeezed into this space.
Great food court. You can find whatever you like just spent a little bit more time than usual. I have found great coffee shop here. They have great italian coffee (but soon it will be even better - they will be served French roast coffee). They have great choices of different pastries and have great collection of macarons!! It better to buy box then individual macarons. And taste of macarons is delicious. Service very cool - friendly and quick. This coffee shop is closed to exalator closed to Fulton Street entrance. Enjoy 😊
This place is LARGE! I almost got lost finding my way through this maze of vendors. The variation here is as extensive as that of the Urban Hawker in NYC though that food hall is more organized since it's mainly a straight line there. This spot is more of a square of sectioned different spots and if you don't have an idea of what you want here, you'll be wandering here for some time like I was. Eventually I settled on a Teriyaki spot (which will have its own review). You'll love the scent of the place as you can smell the many different aromas of certain vendors and the food that they make, it's almost overwhelming. There's something for anything you have a craving for here.
Amazing addition to the neighborhood. There are so many high quality , very unique, well curated food vendors here. There should be something for everyone. I'd say opening day went very well. there was a massive crowd here to test the food vendors' first run. Everything seemed to have went impressively smoothly, at least from a customer's point of view.
Love this place. All things good food under one roof. Great to get a quick delicious bot when you are on downtown or between due diligence or meets. When it has to be special and yet without all the filters - has to be this place in the area. My absolute go to places are Katz (no huge lines) - not the OG loc but hey i can live with pastrami any time from Katz. Berliner Doner is another of my perennial favs. Forcella and Fat fowl are good too.
Always a pleasure! Love this place...somewhere to relax and unwind in the middle of Downtown Brooklyn. Fantastic food court, so many places to eat that you will have a hard time choosing. The environment is clean and welcoming...good music, family eating at tables, friends hanging out..lines for food and just joy to be in that space. Love it!
Great place to go with friends and family. Different vendors of food and drinks it is peaceful to me and a great place to eat and relax
Great variety of food options. Definitely something for everyone. From Jamaican, to Chinese, Japanese and Mexican. There’s pizza, ice cream and a couple of bars. There’s always Trader Joes if nothing pleases you’re appetite. There is a washroom and an elevator if the escalator isn’t working.
A great little market hall in Brooklyn complete with a variety of cuisines. Stumbled upon this off the back of a recommendation in The Lonely Planet City Guide and I’m glad that I paid a visit. Everyone I encountered on the stalls were super friendly and informative about the dishes and gave me free samples/additional food/drinks. You won’t come away from this place hungry!
Had an amazing date night at DeKalb Market Hall — grabbed Han’s Noodles (so good!) and tried a few different sours at the draft bar. Great vibes, delicious food, and the perfect casual spot for a fun evening out.
Love the look and there are some nice places. It can be overwhelming especially if you dont know what you want to eat! Look to spend $10 to 30pp. Mix of vendors local and reginal: Mexican, Asian,Jamaican, American, Other Carribbean, Latin American,European etc. A couple of resturants. The "Something Else" lounge is very nice, chill, laid back spot to sit alone rocking to tunes or a great meet up spot to chill.
Love the Primark hear amazing products and an affordable price. And then I ate at Likkle more jerk. That food was delicious cant wait to go back
There are some great meals to be found here. It's a nice community too. Favorites include: 100% Mr Lin's, Baby's, and Thank You Come Again... But there are a variety of great options.
Great selection of places to eat. Come to this place if you cannot agree what to eat with your family. Everyone will be happy.
Now THIS PLACE ISTHE BOMB!!! You have SO Many choices when it comes to the FOOD! All of the different kind of food is DELICIOUS! 😋 There's different kind of music played daily, and on Friday nights.. Soul/Disco/Salsa Music is played.. "Electric Slide, Anyone?" This place is DEFINITELY a place to come to eat, meet folks, bring the kids, dine, as well as DANCE! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Have a Ball, Folks!
This is such a cute spot that you can grab a bite. There’s a movie theater on the very top level of the mall and so there’s options for dining. They have so many things to do here. On the weekends they often have events for the kids such as story telling, finger painting, or shaping balloons. There’s also an escape room that has like five different scenarios. My favorite place is the bar and you can catch live music on some weekends if you’re lucky.
Awesome place to check out if you're in this part of Brooklyn with several great eatery options. Also a great re-use of space/building. Not as large or historic (of a building) as Chelsea Pier, and definitely not as big and awesome and historic as Reading Terminal Market in my hometown of Philly, but nevertheless this is the type of mixed used, converted space that cities need more of as they help employ and serve the local community, and make starting a business much more affordable for new owners.
Great place in downtown Brooklyn. Easy access via public transportation. It’s better to take public transportation if you don’t live in the area. Lots and lots of great little places to eat. Many different types of food that will satisfy most people. There is also a Trader Joe’s and a Target. Lively and fun. Live music on some nights and vendors selling their wares.
This place was an unintended discovery. I was staying at the Sheraton across the street and saw the Trader Joe sign, and decided to get something to eat. I was surprised that I had to take stairs down to a lower basement level to get to Trader Joe's, and voila, I walked into this awesome marketplace that has tons of restaurant stands to get all sorts of meal choices. It took me half an hour just to decide. I at there the whole week I was there, with a great meal each time. Go down and wonder around. You want be disappointed.
Visited the Dekalb Market Hall for the first time and my friends/family know how much I love market halls! We were there specifically for Soft Swerve. I ordered the strawberry short cake on a cone and it was MASSIVE. Enough for 2 people to share for sure and it was delicious! In addition to Soft Swerve, there was a variety of food and desserts so you'll definitely leave full. My friends and I visited on a Saturday where they had live music which was a plus. Throughout the market hall you'll find tables and chairs; it does get a bit crowded and hot but the eats are worth it. Since we drove in, we found street parking a block away surprisingly! But if you're visiting by train, I saw a subway station nearby as well.
What an energetic vibe you feel when you walk in the market! There are lots of vendors to choose from. There's a very diverse choice of food options. You can find seating in a common seating area or find seating by your vendor of choice. Today, I had a falafel sandwich from Hummus Inc. Brooklyn. The wait wasn't bad and the staff was super friendly. The sabich sandwich was also very good. They have the option of whole wheat pitas instead of white. I can't wait to come back and try another vendor.
They have all sorts of places to buy food and shop And there is a Trader Joe's in the basement
It can be a little tight to move around, the selection of foods are incredible. A smorgasbord in a mall.
I feel like this is the perfect place to go with a group of friends when you can’t agree on a restaurant. Or someone like me who just wants to try everything! The beer offerings are good, we sat and ordered fish, clam chowder at the Long Island fish place and kept on getting things from neighboring vendors. The churros are good snd so is Steve’s Key Lime Pie. Most vendors have great offerings. Good luck deciding what you want to eat!
Nice food hall, but more comfortable seating and more security and outlets would be preferred, also a bit overpriced
Large variety of food choices. Most of the places offer great service and quality of food. My favorite place is Fat Fowl
Lots of options, it was first time and we were like kid in candy store. We were confused and we did try tacos empanadas chorritos doughnut and falafel, everything was good except it was a little pricey about 3 dollars per meal except for taco. The 16 ounce beer was about 9 dollars, but where do you get to walk around the market with beer in your hand and sipping as you wander around. Interior was great and Brooklyn style interior is pretty evident The community tables and the dining area was a let down as one could feel much thought was not put into designing the space rather the space was an afterthought. I would come back again even though its pricey and the the dining area let down, as the ambiance is great, reminds me of Chelsea market (not in terms finesse in design or put together as a whole) I would also reccomend this place to my frienda and you as well whoever got to the end of this sentence.
We stopped here for lunch, very cool spot! There is many places to choose from to eat from Jamaican Jerk to Pizza. I choose pizza and it was really good, my wife ate a Empanada from a different vendor and it was also very good. It is a clean market with a cool vibe. It was a good place to get out of the heat and have a quick bite in the airconditioning. I think that this place serves a lot of locals, so you know you will find some good eats
The selection of places to eat in one area is great. There is so much to choose from it will take a while to visit every vendor. The feel of the space is fun and different. There are a few large tables if you'd like to eat there and a couple of restaurants have a little counter space at which to eat as well. Other than one full service restaurant, it's more of a place to pick up food to go. It would be a bonus if they started doing delivery!
A variety of food vendor which most were had good quality. Hand pulled noodles, BBQ, Katz 's , and many others. The only thing keeping it from five star is the lack of parking and the Taco spot scooping it's guacamole out of a home depot bucket (that's not food safe). Go and try all you can
Eat around the world without leaving Brooklyn. So many options in one food Hall. Most of the food is very good to great. Fletcher's ribs are the best. Arepa Lady's are great. And definitely recommend the BLT crepe from Crepe8. Love the ambience of industrial feel. Minus 1 star for lack of a lot of seating.
Great selection of food here. You can find a vast selection of great food here. A little pricey, but you get a decent quick meal
This place is HUGE! It's amazing to know there's over 40+ food stalls in this one space. You can find almost anything here. Tacos / BBQ / pho / pastries /etc. The variety is one insane. I love getting coffee at one stall and turn the corner to find pho and cake pops at the next corner. My only down side to this area is how the price point for every starts at almost the $10 range. Getting something that's usually a street food/ snack shouldn't start that high (A bowl of pho, a box of tacos, crepes). The quality and convenience of all these food stalls is great but the price point is just arguable. - is it worth seeing once or twice - absolutely! Would I go back - yes. Frequently - one a month maybe.
Hit this spot with my family we each got our own thing and did a family style dinner ! Everything was so good, options for everyone and the vibe was super chill, the food and beverages for the most part were all above average!
This food hall in Downtown Brooklyn is a cute stop for a bite or a meal. This vibrant market has a variety of different cuisines and cultures, and is a great place for exploring new places and bites. Around it, there's also a mall (right above) as well as a Target and Trader Joe's. When I went, it wasn't super packed but it was still busy!
Cool spot in downtown Brooklyn. It's a large mall with a food court downstairs. Met some friends visiting from Detroit there. We had drinks at Somethin Else bar and they allowed us to bring our dinner from Seafood Soul and eat it there. The vibe was chill and the bar had a DJ playing old school R&B. We definitely will go back there.
This is a nice spot to try different foods under one roof. There is Jamaican, Burgers, chicken sandwiches, sushi, alcohol. Even Trader Joe's is found on the lower level. Nothing specifically blew me out of the water but I enjoyed everything I got except for the frozen drinks from Brooklyn Wine Cellar. The Margarita was too bitter.
