The staff was awesome!! I loved the music and the atmosphere and the food of course. I had my first seafood boil ever for my 27th birthday!! And my pregnant cousin came with me and they accommodated her so well and assured her that the seafood would be thoroughly cooked.
Absolutely loved it. I called the restaurant to add on one person to the party and wasn’t given a problem. When we arrived we were immediately seated. The drinks and food was good. I didn’t bring a cake for the birthday boy however they got creative and brought a shot board out and sang happy birthday. I was so grateful.
vibes were great here :) food was yum and special shoutout to jose !!! made us the best shots i’ve ever had in my entire life
Good music, good food, solid happy hour deals. Shout-out to José who made us the best tasting shots.
The discovery of this spot made an ordinary day special. The staff handled guests with exceptional care. I was amazed by this restaurant. Each menu item shows careful execution. The staff here are genuinely helpful.
Best seafood boil place I’ve been too in Brooklyn this far! We ordered our adult capris in drinks (I ordered a Mardi gras ) it had mint leaves inside and tasted so refreshing (they also have non-alcoholic drinks) for apps I ordered a Gumbo which was DELICIOUS! Then I got the seafood boil with the claw daddy special sauce, it was spectacular. Service was great so that made the restaurant a 10/10 !
The food gives good value for what leaves your wallet. Both the meal preparation and service approach impressed me. Claw Daddy's combines culinary excellence with perfect ambiance. The employee treated us with remarkable regard. This place shows attention to excellence.
Nice and spacious restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and informative. I had the Adult Capri Sun which taste great. This spot is more for the sea food lovers. But I think there's a little something for everyone. I had the Cajun wings and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese were to die for!!! It was absolutely amazing, rich, creamy and tasty and they give you a good portion. We were given shots each, I guess because my it was my birthday. My friend and her husband treated me to dinner and they took me to Claw Daddy's, best choice. I already recommended this restaurant to my sister, she loves this kind of food.
We had a great meal here right before going to the Barclays center for a concert. The service was pleasant and quick. The food was delicious and the portions were big. I had the crawfish poor boy, which had a great mix of crawfish and toppings. The sauce was excellent. Happy hour looks very generous, but we were not hungry enough to take advantage of food items. House wine was excellent and quite a value at the happy hour price. the atmosphere definitely had a New-Orleans vibe like acme Oyster bar.
This place is a hidden gem! Most affordable, delicious oysters around. The grilled oysters are divine!! Crab fritters also fab. Happy hour is daily until 6:30pm with raw oysters $1 each and grilled for $1.50 each. We had a feast and left very happy!! Also their adult Caprisuns are fantastic. And all the people there are wonderful! We will be back again and again.
Food was great, service was excellent! Jose the bartender was very generous to give us shots, too! Thank you everyone at Claw Daddy’s for making this a great experience, we will be back!
Every time I pass by I tell myself that I need to try the place...today was that day! The line was really long so I walked enjoyed Atlantic Antic and on my way back, the line had thinned out (THANKFULLY but then got packed again) I got the mac & cheese and the grilled oysters. Can't wait to go back and try more stuff from the menu
This seafood gumbo is literally to die for! Had a small bowl delivered via Uber and thought about it for 2 days straight! Went on Tuesday excited to get my gumbo and they were closed so I lowkey cried. Went on a Wednesday and got the large size to make up for the Tuesday. It does not disappoint! Also had the lobster Mac and it was goooood along with garlic noodles. The large gumbo to go could use a little more white rice but *chefs kiss*. The passion fruit capri sun is crazy good and worth every penny! Definitely had me on the first pouch and sip.
Ooo wee, Claw Daddy’s woo’d me. Many friends recommended this place, so I had to give them a try. I had 1 lb of snow crab legs in the mild Claw Daddy’s special sauce, the fried alligator and fried chicken wings. Everything was so tasty. The crab legs were boiled to perfection in the sauce and I loved the spicy sauce that came with the alligator. I can’t wait to order again.
I got the 1 pound snow crab legs with macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese could have used a little salt but other than that, the food was delicious! It seemed like so much more than a pound which is awesome! We arrived like an hour before closing but they still sat us without complaint and the DJ was fantastic. As you can see I had a blast. The decor is very chic and hip with low lighting and cool vibes. Ryan, our waiter, is not only cute but he’s also attentive and funny. I got the Adult Caprisun with the coconut, forgot what it was called. Delicious!!! I wish they sold these in store.
The sea food boils always hit! But what sets this place apart is that they have great service. My last two experiences there were consistently good. The wait staff is kind and attentive even though they are super busy. Just be sure to clarify when ordering what the tipping is like. I believe gratuity is added once you pay for a certain amount. The happy hour is perf after work thumbs 👍🏽🦀 Surprisingly, the avocado salad was a stand out menu item.
Very pleased with Claw Daddy's Brooklyn. Great service by all staff members for the past 2 visits by us so far (both visits on a Friday afternoon 4:00-6:00PM). We always make sure to make a reservation prior. We truly enjoy the grilled oysters during happy hour ($1.50 every day until 5:00PM), also delicious to eat with their garlic bread. We also enjoy the adult caprisuns ($9 during happy hour). The king crab legs (1pound $44) are amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of the crabmeat. We had our bag with the Claw Daddy's Special sauce and Medium spice level (potatoes and corn are included with the bag). We had one pound bag each and it was perfect! Last visit we also tried the Spicy Southern Deviled Eggs (4 halves for $6) and the Crab Cake Fritters (10 small sized balls for $11). We enjoyed the delived eggs, but were not impressed by the crab cake fritters.
I can always count on a good experience here. Their team displays genuine friendliness. People trust this place for meals. The meals showcase quality ingredients. The culinary quality never wavers.
Did a pickup of the delivery since there is no outdoor dining. Loved the food not bad at all. The shrimp po boy was pretty big, was not expecting that. The drinks come with ice in a separate capri packet. The drinks are great. Definitely loved 'Just a Dream' drink. All were pretty strong too!
Man I gotta say.. claw daddy’s knows how to do seafood right! When I walked into this spot I was quite surprised of what I’d be eating. My wife recommended this to me and asked me to order to go, I walked in and was greeted kindly by 2 ladies while what seemed to be a bouncer at front too. I waited at a bar for a few minutes to order but once I ordered I was given my meal in 5 minutes! Got home and unwrapped this beast!!! 10/10 best tasting seafood and well worth the price and effort. Y’all gotta try it out 👌👌💯
This spot surpasses all comparable options. Claw Daddy's serves consistently tasty dishes. This place performs well throughout from food to feeling. Staff responded to our needs quickly and politely. You won't regret visiting this restaurant.
Their dishes hit exactly what you're craving. The menu offers delicious choices. Their personnel made room for my family's coats. This place delivered on all fronts. I appreciate what you did. And everything else you provided.
The service was great and the food was delicious. We got there with 20 minutes left of happy hour. I got some grilled oysters and raw oysters. They were both delicious but the grilled oyster were definitely my favorite. We then ordered two drinks, which were really good. We ordered two shrimp boils and some brussel sprouts. The food was so good, really exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go back!
The seafood boils here are my favorite, I love the spicy claw daddy special sauce. Their chargrilled oysters were just okay; and the macaroni was pretty good. But the adult caprisuns & mojitos are soo good! Oh & happy hour all day on Tuesdays is so dope! Their wings are nice & crispy *chefs kiss*
Just had an amazing experience at Claw Daddy’s Seafood Restaurant in downtown Brooklyn, and I had to share! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was upbeat and welcoming. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. Now let’s talk food — incredible. I went with the seafood boil (of course), and it did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned, buttery, spicy (just how I like it), and the portions were generous. The crab legs, shrimp, and crawfish were cooked just right. I also tried the sweet potato fries, small bowl of white rice and mussels on the side — both were delicious! Whether you’re a seafood lover or just looking to try something new, I definitely recommend giving Claw Daddy’s a visit. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back! PS- my little princesses as you can see loves ClawDaddy’s
Went on a whim as we were in town and as avid seafood fans. This place was amazing! Another reviewer mentioned the grilled oysters and they were truly delicious. The boil comes in a cute little pot and was so tasty, one of the best boils I've had and I've had many. Definitely wished I lived in the city so I could visit more. Definitely stop by you won't be disappointed.
I decided to visit this restaurant for my birthday today. I was very pleased. It was my first time and I’m glad I picked this place. 10 out of 10. It was a vibe. The food was delicious. The drinks were so cute. The restaurant is very nice inside. I got my food fast and the staff was very nice to me and my family. I will be back soon!
Although we’re going through a pandemic, they instill and enforce safety tips when checking in for a reservation. The food came out fast, it was fresh and the taste is high quality, delicious. I definitely recommend ordering the fried alligator and the Grilled Clams as an appetizer! Soo yummy!
I ordered food to go for my aunt and I. She text me later saying she " loooooved " her shrimp. It was her first time there. I think I enjoy the open space and people watching at the lower east side location better but brooklyn definitely still offers a cool atmosphere. Thumbs up for the projector screen.
The Happy Hour specials here are great. $1 oysters, $8 glasses of wine every day until 730pm. This place gets pretty busy so a reservation is definitely recommended. We've been here twice in the last 3 weeks. You just can't beat that oyster deal. We have also gotten the shrimp po'boys with cajun fries, which are delicious. Totally worth the $17 price tag. Our waiter was clearly overwhelmed. Seemed like it was only 2 waiters for the entire floor. But he still served us with a smile and courtesy the whole visit. He even reminded us that there was 4 minutes left until happy hour was over and if we wanted to put an order in for more oysters or wine before happy hour deals were over. He definitely got a 25% tip. Super nice guy. Great service.
Some of the people in my party really like the seafood boil. Everything was OK. Tasty. The service wasn’t the best we had to keep looking for our server.
Delicious seafood options with a Cajun flair and yes it’s true they have adult “Capri Sun” options. Try the snow crab legs in the garlic butter boil with medium spice! Food comes in a plastic bag with sauce and any additions like crab, corn, sausage etc. And for the Adult Capris sun the Harlem Holiday is delish ... the Truly Yours has actual rose petals.
I got my new year’s eve dinner at this place, first time here. I got: 1. Shrimp PO Boy: it was good and the cajun fries perfect👍 2. Crab cakes: Very good and the dipping sauce excellent. To drink I have a Caprisun Mojito. Being from Latin American I know about good Mojitos and this was good, it had the “hierba buena” taste and specially the rum well leveled. Service was good. Will definitely come back again to taste more Louisiana cuisine.
I ate at this Brooklyn claw daddy at least four times I went last night and was kinda disappointed I enjoyed the gator bites it was my first time trying them but my main course wasn’t to pleasing I know prices went up on food but the size of my crab legs was unbelievable my 1 nephew wouldn’t of been full over this only giving it a 4 cause the dj and gator bites was popping 🤷🏾♀️
The food was good as usual but the mocktails were extra good..the alligator bites were a bit disappointing but maybe you might like em...My server was pretty attentive and got everything right! Hopefully by my 5th visit I'm gonna have a taste of everything that's on the menu.
Nice happy hour date nite spot. The drinks are wine, beer and adult sippy bags. A choice of cocktails served in a ziplock bag with a straw. Very kool idea and no you can't order it to go lol. The clams and oysters on half shell come cold or grilled both choices are good. I didn't get into the full menu, saving that for the next visit. The atmosphere is casual and it's in the heart of downtown Brooklyn not to far from the Barclay's and City Point.
It’s cute, it’s to the point. That claw daddy sauce is ON POINT!!!! The only thing I didn’t like was that you HAVE to get each item by the pound (no half pound in case you don’t want a pound of crawfish) my aunt is a big fan of seafood, so we took her for her birthday. She’s in love! For someone who likes all things shellfish and seafood, it’s great, and the fries were bomb too lol. The adult caprisun’s were good, I’ll be returning to try the different options on happy hour. My aunt took the sauce home also...it’s really that good
The oysters were amazing! I had them raw and Rockefeller style. Both were fresh and full of flavor. The adult Capri Sun was fun and really good too! Now the wings… they looked good, but tasted old and when I bit into one, it was bleeding. Definitely not it. Thankfully the seafood and drinks made up for it, so I’d still come back — just skipping the wings next time.
Claw Daddy’s Brooklyn is a simple spot with a relaxed atmosphere, though I expected a bit more in terms of decor and ambiance. The food was tasty without being overly complicated—the oysters and appetizers were solid, and the drinks were enjoyable. However, I wasn’t too impressed with the alcohol served in a pack, especially for the price. The main dishes were decent, but the menu can get expensive, particularly if you opt for the seafood selections. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, it’s a good place to grab some seafood, but I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a date-worthy spot.
I went for Happy Hour. The service was friendly. Food quality was good. Drinks in a baggy makes it fun. They raise the oyster price by 50 cents each oyster. You can skip the wings. It's not worth it and was not so good. I was sitting in a booth and the people on the other side sharing the back rest were banging onto the seat. I guess they had one too many drinks. So ask for a normal table with chairs. Just saying -_-'
In the past I have add better experiences. But yesterday, I ordered the Shrimp & Snow Crab Combo with original Cajun seasoning and received some kind of brown gravy in my combo. No Cajun-ness at all. It's like when these restaurants know you're not coming in-person, they give you whatever.
Actually, it's like all of the other seafood restaurants that serves seafood in a bag. What was special about it was the Gator Bites...Delicious and Tasty but they Do Not compare to "Pappadeaux" in Georgia. Disappointed with the Bouncer and one of the servers. Made unwelcome remarks about my weight upon leaving the restaurant. Very Poor Taste!!! If you're over a certain weight, turn a deaf ear, they don't have proper manners for certain patrons.
Dined here for my grandmother’s birthday. Overall the experience was good I enjoyed the music, the overall atmosphere. I ordered the claw fish dip, and the caesar salad both were very good. The only drawback was the lobster roll my Husband ordered, the texture of the lobster was inconsistent. Some parts were tender some where very very tough as if chewing hard gum, Grandmother’s seafood boil was lacking in seasoning. However he did enjoy the wings, my daughter enjoyed her Mac & cheese and wings.
The service was great! The food and drinks were just OK. Clams and oysters were good but that's all we really liked. The lobster itself was cooked good but the garlic sauce had a spicy taste to it even though my wife told them she didn't want spicy. The gator bites tasted mostly like oil and dough. My order with the mixed was alright but the shrimp were definitely over cooked and the claw daddy sauce was nothing special. The drink was fine but barely anything in the bag due to the large ice cubes taking up most of it.
Happy hour stuff is not updated. Mandatory 20% tip over 125. Website did not follow what is in store.
I don't know about this one y'all. Atmosphere was good, they were playing Amazing Music. The DJ was at the front I was keeping the feel of the restaurant light and fun. The service was moving quickly, though it was a Saturday night they weren't too full by the time I party arrived so even though we were late for our reservation by 30 minutes we were easily able to be seated. The service moves really fast, like literally maybe 5 minutes after we ordered we got everything. And I mean everything, we got our appetizers and our meal at the exact same time which made our very tiny table hard to maneuver. The food wasn't that great to me, everything tasted Bland though it was drenched in seasoning. it tasted like everything was cooked for about 5 minutes before they poured in the seasoning, waited maybe another 2 minutes for it to get warm and then rushed it to our table. If you are heading to the club or just coming from the club I recommend this place because it will get you full Fast. But if you are going to have a family outing for something around that line, maybe pass this up
I hate leaving bad reviews for service but this was a rough experience. Saw their happy hour board on the sidewalk and went in on a whim at 6:30, thinking we’d have plenty of time to make it for a 7:00 dinner reservation nearby since we only wanted to order drinks and oysters. Wasn’t busy at all, maybe 4 or 5 tables with people, but it still took 10 minutes for someone to take our order. Even though we got beer and a dozen oysters that should have only taken a few minutes to prepare, we were still waiting after 20 minutes. I asked them to just clear the order because it was already 7 by that point but they said the order was ready. In the end we had to rush through a $35 order in like 2 minutes. Still don’t know why it took so long - there were more employees than customers there. Oysters weren’t bad but were definitely better suited for grilling than raw (big and not very flavorful). Can’t really speak to most of the menu but wouldn’t recommend going in for happy hour, unless you’re prepared to wait … and wait some more.
My family and I came here for dinner two nights ago, I ordered King Crab, and it was priced at $100 per lb. The price isn't listed on the website. I've been going to the other claw daddy in Manhattan and never had this problem. Is this because of the congestion fee in the city? I guess this won't be my go-to spot anymore!
Everything was SO salty here…. And the seafood were all way too overcooked. We also got a side of potatoes and corn (both $5) but that only came with 4 small pieces… never coming back that’s for sure
I just called to inquire about menu items, and someone answered the phone—only to hang up as soon as I began speaking. I tried calling back, assuming the call may have dropped, but now no one is answering, which feels intentional. To the gentleman who hung up on me on 6/19/2025 at 8:17 PM EST: congratulations, you’ve just cost the business a $1,000+ order from a high-profile client.
I had a reservation which I got a table right away. It took literally 25mins to even get a waiter to take our order, then another 30mins to get the drinks, then another 30min for the food. The food wasn't that great, but I did like the oysters during happy hour. The service is what I'm most disappointed in. Maybe this night was an outlier, so try it out yourself and you might like the wait.
This was hand down the worst seafood boil that I’ve ever had. There were big chunks of garlic in the sauce, the sauce had no flavor and everything was an additional charge. This honestly felt that the spirit airline of seafood boil places. I will never go back.
Service was fine. However, the food itself was not. I got the lobster roll today and it was smaller than the size of my hand. $19 plus tax. It tastes mediocre at best. Do not recommend at all. I was so shocked. I was trying to go to The Crabby Shack but they ran out of crab and lobster roll.
The one good thing about this place is the music was good other than that it was hardly any space.it was so crowded we had no where to wait not even sit and wait.I suggest you make a reservation before going. When we got inside the food came pretty quickly I thought that was a good thing but it wasn't. We order shrimp and crab, devil eggs, fried chicken and something else i forgot the name along with drinks. The waiter said the sauce that came with the crab and shrimp was their special but it was not good.the shrimp wasnt cooked at all i had to take it home and recook it along with the bland crab.the drink i order was terrible too. I love devil eggs but those was not it. The only thing i like was the fried chicken it was good compared to everything else.the table inside too was to small i felt any sudden movement eveything would fall off the table.its such a small space that this woman look upset when some jammed her by accident putting on their jacket.this place was a recommendation but never again maybe the one in Manhattan is better.in the end be ready to spend $150 and up
Yesterday I ordered snow crablegs from clawdaddysnyc (Brooklyn). The food was SPOILED. I would love to know how something like this could happen. Not only that they had spoiled food in their possession but how could you prepare said food and send it to a patron? How does the chef knowingly bag this up to be sent out to someone? I contacted clawdaddysnyc (Brooklyn) and spoke with who I thought to be a manager who said he wasn’t sure how this could happen. He didn’t seem very apologetic, rushed me off the phone before taking my name or looking up my order. I had to ask him if he even knew who he was speaking to. I don’t like the service I received regarding this serious matter. I really need answers from the kitchen or general manager or the owner at this point. I reached out to clawdaddysnyc via IG last night and no one has responded to me yet. This is disgusting and very unhealthy. Spoiled seafood can make someone VERY Sick. All of the crablegs arrived like this. After spending $70 of my hard working dollars I NEED ANSWERS! Maybe I should contact the department of health to look into this matter on my behalf.
Update 2/3 they are going by surf & chicks according to my multiple credit card charges, avoid that too. Everyone who works there is super nice, suck the places sucks so much I’m writing this review so people will actually see it and avoid this place. This is the last remaining Claw Daddy’s, and it genuinely feels like a shell of itself that should just pull the plug. The entire place looks run down. It’s winter, freezing outside, and the heat wasn’t even working — instead they had portable space heaters at every table, which looked absolutely insane and felt unsafe. Most of the drink menu was unavailable, and we were told they’re waiting on a new food supplier and a new credit card processor, which honestly says everything. The food was ultra mid. I used to love the Cajun seafood boil, but whatever this was did not resemble what Claw Daddy’s used to be. On top of that, we were charged twice and for the wrong bill. The table next to us found a hair in their dish. I would have left immediately if it wasn’t January and basically zero degrees outside. Nothing feels like a bigger waste of money than mediocre seafood, and I was so disappointed I’m actually leaving a review — which I rarely do. This place feels like a reanimated corpse of what was once a cool spot. They either need a massive overhaul or to shut it down entirely. But considering the front door has been broken for years, this just feels like a business clinging to life on life support with no pulse left. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
I was charged extra for head off shrimp. When i received i saw it wasn’t cleaned properly. When i told my server, he told me that don’t clean and devein the shrimp and that it was okay to eat. Told me “you won’t get sick eating the poop line. I was highly disgusted being how i had already ate one shrimp without realizing. I wasn’t even offered money off being how i sent the shrimp back and didn’t eat anymore of it. Also for the price of the boil, i received very tiny amounts of food. 3 legs on my crab and the mussels looked dehydrated, they was super tiny.. wouldn’t recommend coming here, go to hook and reel they will give more for the same price with better service
