Tacos burritos and tamales are all excellent but my favorite thing might be the Mexican omelette breakfast torta. $7.50 and that picture is only half the sandwich.

A hidden gem that I'm happy not many people know about. This place makes some really good tacos. The mole taco is one of my favorites. It's chicken with mole on top but so goooooood. You can get any meat with mole. They have a really nice backyard that's perfect for groups. If you cant handle spicy then ask them to give the pique on the side.

Fast, affordable, delicious. Of my three tacos, Carnitas was the highlight. Next time I'll try a burrito or torta. Great neighborhood spot with friendly, family service.

I get the enchiladas. I like them. They give 3 enchiladas with rice and beans on the side. The sauce also is decent with a nice spice. The enchiladas also come with a nice amount of sour cream cheese cilantro and onions. The only downside is it is a little bit expensive. I slightly prefer the spot further down Hoyt but sometimes go here because it's closer

Ordered a simple grilled chicken burrito and a large coffee. As far as Mexican food goes in this neighborhood, it might be the best option. However, I found the burrito to be subpar at best costing about $15. $19 with a coffee added too… Filled with the typical rice, beans, protein, lettuce, sour cream. I found the lettuce to be interesting as it’s just iceberg lettuce. Large portion was a pro, it’s huge. The salsa verde I asked for was good. Good lunchtime spot if you work in the area but definitely not somewhere to venture out of your way for.

The chef must have changed. I judge a Mexican place by its chips. I was super excited to see homemade chips in all the pictures - they correlated well with the high rating for this place so I made the mistake of not reading recent reviews. Instead of homemade chips, I received very boring store-bought chips. The chicken mole taco and the pork/pineapple tacos tasted very good (I got both carnitas and el pastor accidentally as the cashier rang me up for both when she misunderstood my question about which she recommended - so I got three so she wouldn’t have to change the order or absorb an extra credit card network fee) but I thought everything was chopped too coarsely (meat/radish). I found the menu confusing and thought that tacos would come with an avocado slice - note only veggie tacos come with the avocado. I probably won’t come back, but if I do I’d order only two regular tacos and skip anything with chips. The backyard was a pleasant surprise - I’d never tried it before because the front looks dumpy. The place is “so close but yet so far”. For the $21 I spent I’ll stick with the other Mexican place across the street. Spend time reading the recent reviews, then just get what people specifically recommend. Also note the menu shows two sizes of guacamole but they only offer the large size. Things have changed here so do your homework and you’ll have a fine but not exciting meal.

although the items we ordered were well cooked, they lacked basic seasoning. also, clearly this place operates not for walk in service but for delivery ... we were the only customers but waited over 15 minutes which in the scheme of things isn't that big of a deal, however the place has absolutely zero hospitality and borders on the unfriendly. double shrug.

Nothing but below average. $15 after tax for a burrito that was about 1/4 dry tortilla, 2/4 dry rice and beans, and 1/4 everything else, including a microscopic amount of Al Pastor. Such a disappointment after a long day of work. I thought the idea of a “burrito deli” would give this place an edge; a cute, hole-in-the-wall spot that refused to conform to so many of the “Taqueria” chains in NYC. Maybe it was just an off night but, to be honest, I’d rather have just gone to one of the countless “bowl” places on any given corner. Fast and friendly service, but food that is nothing short of static.

Never, I mean Never go there for a Hamburger!! It was overcooked Dry and no Seasoning! I went there on the spur of the moment! I was heading to City Point Target to get Witch Hazel; I was craving a burger. I Warn you, and I Appeal to your Stomach and your Sense of Taste, avoid Fast and Fresh cause it a lot of things (Dry, Overcooked, no Seasoning), but not Worth your Time, Disgust and Money!!!

No one wants to talk or listen to customers. After patiently waiting 5 minutes, I left. This was an almost empty place with just one person.
