DO NOT SLEEP on their savory dishes. Along with a host of really delicious, low priced breads and cakes (amongst which I love their sponge cakes), they also have amazing taste in the savory dishes they choose to put out. All at an incredible price for value
The egg tart is delicious and a must try, I also got a curry chicken puff and mai fung with chicken and peppers with eggs and veggies for $6.50. Total was 13.65 this place is highly recommended
Great selection of buns. Reasonable price for the noodles . Great service
An amazing establishment that I’ve been to at least a hundred times, consistent quality among all the pastries, delicious coffee everytime iced or hot, fast friendly service, and extremely reasonable prices. My go to whenever im craving something red bean related or need good coffee in canal street that won’t cost me an arm and a leg!
It says bakery but they do sell food there also, didn't realize when went in. One of the best dumpings and drunken noodles that I've tasted. Had to come back agaiin but they ran out of a lot of food. Too bad. Will definitely be back next time.
Cheap and super good bakery. My favorites has to be the roast pork bun, the sesame seed ball w/ red bean filling, and the strawberry cheese jelly. Also, look at how awesome this customized elmo cake looks too! Such an affordable price for something so good. Definitely try these.
Walked by and went in specifically to see if they had egg tarts- just to satisfy my craving. They far exceeded my expectations! Very soft, almost-watery custard filling. Thin, light, flaky yet non-greasy crust. What more could you ask?
really really good Portuguese egg tart. Mine came with a smile too! Such affordable prices for top quality taste. Better than most asian bakeries with such friendly staffs.
The best bakery in canal st. A must go if you are in the area. My personal recommendation is the sponge cake and the Japanese cheesecake. The coffee is always good, strong flavor and fresh. Everything in this bakery is always fresh. The attention is perfect.
Aside from the daily bakery selection, this place makes the most beautiful and delicious cakes!! I ordered twice from them, and they did not disappoint. Look at the details!! They are amazing, pricing is incredible and very friendly and accommodating!!
The guys there are so nice. The cake, the bread, the coffee is very good. For the special cakes you have to wait like 20-30 min, but the wait is worth it. They accept debit and cash. Place is small and is not fancy, but who cares, everything is delicious. Always is very crowded, they have only one table. Prices for the cakes 8 slices between $32-$40. Reasonable prices.
Right after a long morning waiting in line of a federal government building I was deeply craving the taste of a pastry from a Chinese bakery. So I was strolling through canal st and surrounding avenues until I came across this very small establishment. This isn’t a place where you’d sit and study(lounge) but you are presented with a wide varieties of baked goods and hot foods. This wasn’t my first rodeo at a Chinese bakery (since Flushing, NY) but that was some time (plus a few years ago) so I was a bit intimidated(in a good way) at the options. Wasn’t too sure what I wanted exactly since I honestly wanted to DEVOUR EVERYTHING on sight but I e realized these simple “Apple Pie” pastry I grabbed was definitely the right choice. I completed my purchase with a hot cup of coffee and sat at the nearby bench while I planned my next move for the day….. I was back for 2 more “Apple Pie” pastries right before they were closing (that was about 3 hours later) Please support the locals especially this establishment.

Good bubble tea but couldn't buy pork buns
One of my favorite places in the city for sweets! Yummm
love this place! great prices too
The best red bean sesame balls ever!
The owner is so sweet and passionate about what they do ✨✨✨💯
cute little place with cheap & yummy pastries 😸
Great food, great people.
Great Japanese cheesecake and coffee slices
Delicious treats that are well priced. Staff was friendly. Will definitely visit again.
Prices are very reasonable and their bubble teas are so good. I have been coming here for years and prefer these over the chains.
Early bird gets the worm I get out of work 6:30 a.m. I'm there by 6:45 and they are open super friendly staff. At that time everything is still steamy
Love love love their sesame ball & the red bean pastry. The textures are *chefs kiss* anddd dairy free which I love
The cakes are delicious. They are so soft and not too sweet to the point it's not tasteful anymore. Definitely my go to for cakes.
More than a bakery! Just had the best fried rice, sweet orange chicken and green beans..amazing!! Hidden jem for sure!
great food great price. lady at the counter very sweet (:
love this place. Must try, their homemade honey/ ginger/ lemon tea. It's like a hug. Thanks folks
Love their peanut-coconut mochi, egg custard tarts (dan ta) with flaky multilayered crust, and their Chinese sponge cake (dan gao).
Good coconut bun bread and hot dogs on the bun. The hot food is good too, try the curry chicken.
Coffee and a cake for under $5. Only one table so not really a sit down place but great on the go.
You can just tell the woman here is soooo kind and the bread is v soft!
A raisin cake was delicious!! I certainly will be back soon. Thank you.
I love the store they had the best cakes in the world but I am sad that their store moved
We went there today to dinner the food is sooo tasty! Good job!!!
Everything was amazing. Everyone is so nice
This is a cute, Cantonese style bakery. Love their mooncakes!
Its such a cute little bakery The food is definitely good
What a pleasant surprised! We tried the mango cake, moon cake, mango sticky rice, sesame cake and chestnut cake. Every (but the chestnut cake) was AMAZING! So fresh, great flavor and consistency. Would definitely recommend and go back. Also great value (everything above was $12)!
I love this bakery. It is very centrally located, the prices are very fair and the quality is excellent. I prefer going here over Taipan and the other surrounding bakeries. The workers are friendly and they make a good bubble tea as well. They also have indoor seating.
Such an amazing bakery !! Got strawberry shortcake, custard cake, and another recommended item per the owner. Super sweet lady at the counter always greeting you with a smile and genuine service. Highly recommend the bakery !!
This is my favorite Chinatown bakery (and put some trust my way, because I’m actually Chinese)! Anyway, I love their buns and mochi treats. I’ve met some really nice and helpful staff here and enjoyed their baked goods a lot. It’s such a convenient place to stop by, as it’s right by the Canal Street Q, which I take home from work every day. This is a great little hole in the wall, and I hope people come out and support them.
Best bakery in Chinatown. I recently went to this place and I just had the most amazing bread. The bread was so similar to the ones I had in hk and don’t even get me started on the milk tea. After my morning run, I would get an amazing hot bread and milk teaS definitely recommend this place compare to the other trashy Chinatown bakeries.
Love this place, my favourite bakery in Chinatown. Buns are always fresh and I stock up everytime I’m in Chinatown, esp with the pork and custard steamed buns in the fridge which we freeze for a quick snack when we feel lazy! Close to the Q and they also take card.
Love this bakery! So far I’ve tried the sweet bun and cheesecake (both are amazing). My sister is a vegan and loves the sesame ball and red bean pastry.
The place seemed kind of cheap but everything was delicious. They have the tastiest and spongiest cakes I’ve ever tried.
Love their sponge fruit cake. Customer service is also very friendly and fast. Highly recommend if you like lightly sweet cakes and pastries.
Best bakery in Chinatown! Better than Taipan/Fay Da and I like both of them. Very cheap and high quality pastries, especially the sesame rolls, coconut cream bun, and Portuguese egg tarts.
Great bakery / fast food available, very tiny seating area but it's not a restaurant it's a cafe, if you can you goto try thier rice noodle roll it's really tasty and great on the go, filling too if you eat 2-3 of them. Fantastic prices and it's cheaper than other bakery. You goto have one of thier watermelon juice on a hit day.
Lovely bakery with friendly staff and super affordable food! I tried the coffee cake which hit all expectations 👌 They also have a hot bar with chinese breakfast foods
The employees of the store were so nice & everything was delicious & affordable!!! The store was so pretty aswell! Definitely recommend checking out this place!
I wish I asked the woman’s name who worked here at around 7:30pm on 04/02/24. How incredibly nice was she! What great energy. Anywho, got some custard buns to surprise my husband with. A pack of 6 for $8! Can’t complain. The friendly woman educated me on how to properly heat them up. Among just her overall positive energy. I won’t forget her. ❤️
Kid came here a few days ago for 咸水角"football"--fried mochi with savory filling and loved it. Hong Kong style milk tea is not their forte although they will sell you one. Came back tonight because they were the only bakery open after dinner. Got the last of the egg tart and curry pastry for breakfast tomorrow. Friendly and thoughtful service. Paid cash to avoid credit card surcharge. Bakery is for take out so don't expect dine in service or ambiance. The curry pastry did not taste like curry beef. It tasted more like pork pastry. The egg tart was good even reheated in the microwave.
I love coming here when I am working in the area. I get rice noodles, and curry fish balls. Even when adding a bubble tea and sometimes a pork bun for later I don’t spend more than $15. It’s a GREAT lunch spot!
I highly recommend this place. The staff is so nice you will not be disappointed. We just went in looking for advice on some dessert and we left with really sweet memories and a great experience.
This is a genuinely good bakery, nothing is oversweetened or overly salty. The cinnamon donut has been been my favorite so far with the egg tart! Everything is well balanced. Delivery was family style 😎.
Great hidden little gem, you can get any kind of bun or dessert for around $1-$2. They have cheap food options priced around $4-5. If you’re on a budget or just want a quick snack. Best spot around in this area. They are friendly aswell
The employee who helped us was very nice, great selection of sweet treats at a reasonable price. Also had vegan options!
The woman who runs the shop is incredibly kind. I had recently eaten dinner at a nearby restaurant and had my leftovers packed up. As I was walking by this bakery, I realized the container my takeout was in had leaked all over my stuff. I went inside to see if I could buy a plastic bag from her to put my takeout container in and she went out of her way to help me clean my things, and gave me extra plastic bags for my stuff! She refused to take the tip I wanted to give her for her kindness. She was so helpful and I really, really appreciate it! The red bean pastry I bought was very good too :)
Best boba tea in NY.. Possibly the world.. It's love and dreams in your mouth.
Every time I pass by, I stop by for some bakery treats or milk tea, even if I’m not craving anything. I grew up around Chinatown so I’ve tried a lot of Chinese bakery breads. Their chef knows how to make good buns!
Wow! If you want to deal with kind people in NYC?! Come here. Exceptional care and customer service. Treating all the customers like true family! Great food. Highly recommend!

This is a popular bakery store in Chinatown that has lots of bakery and confectionery items. They also sell few cooked dishes like steamed broccoli, pepper streak, chicken, tofu that are sold with white rice. They have bubble teas as well, but it’s powder based. We bought few of their bread items and egg tars. The store looks pretty old. The menus are handwritten on paper, taped on the walls. There’s one table in the corner for guests to sit, but full of dirt. Despite the issues with the appearance, their food quality and taste keeps bringing lots of customers.
I love how conveniently located right outside the uptown 6 train on Canal Street. Clean inside with a table, plenty of typical Chinese pastries, baked buns, cakes (beautiful!) and breads. I got a baked BBQ pork bun. It was fresh, soft and squishy, pork was fine -- it fulfilled my craving without a painful wait like other places . If you want your quick fix for baos, come here. Coffee, boboa also served here. The cashier lady was kind and friendly. Enjoy!
I got ice coffee at this bakery. The coffee was a regular and not expensive. Mostly food and bakery here is the same as typical Chinese bakery and the most important thing is cash only.

Affordable and delicious choices of meals and desserts. The Coffee was also surprisingly tasty and satisfying. The only con is the weak A/C and limited seating.
Small Chinatown lookin bakery, but best coffee in Chinatown by far. Not watered down, rich blend.
They don't always have the items listed on the menu.
Black bean cake and coffee for $5! Incredible
The best time to go buy anything is in the morning. The breads are nice and fresh and warm
I really like their vanilla cake rolls, butter bread, fried dumplings, fried noodles, etc. In the current inflationary period, the price is not too expensive. It would be nice if there could be more cream in the cake.
New Cameron Bakery has the charm of an old-school bakery and is conveniently located near the uptown 6 train, making it easy to grab something on the go. The staff was helpful and fluent in English, and transactions were quick. They have a $5 minimum charge for credit cards and accept Apple Pay. The coconut buns were delicious and was consistent to the other bakeries. They had a large selection of steam buns and Lunar New Year edible things available. An area for improvement could be offering a samples of steam buns in 1 pack. Overall, my experience was positive, and I would definitely consider returning.
Chinatown bakery with very good pastries. I saw customers buying takeaway noodles and boba tea too. One two tables for customers to eat in store if so inclined. I loved the glutinous rice ball with pork. Bigger than found overseas and delectable. Craving satisfied!
Hot dishes are a problem; always something wrong with food taste funky. Look at this; how can you work in kitchen and not realize the rice is severely undercooked.

It's okay. Coffee and a pastry for a late afternoon snack.
Definitely this would not be the first place to get your pastry in New York Chinatown in lower Manhattan. Yet, I like the sticky bun inside with crispy pastry outside.
Convenient but it's a bit dirty. I got a insect in one of my noodles once. Just have to be careful.
Love it its clean ..some sales are nice now ..before they are not nice. Everything is delicious
Not bad , clean and open, but the sesame ball here was a tad bit undercooked.
I came here solely for pasta de nata. I bought 3. After trying the first one I realised that it’s not pasta de nata but rather an egg tart, which they don’t differentiate it tasted average, hence the rating. No refunds and exchanges plus 3.95% on top of credit card payments. “Awesome”, now the last two will be fed to homeless.
The baked goods are excellent but the older lady constantly overcharges anywhere from 50 cents to $3. She'll tell me the order is $16 so I give her $20 and then she gives me $2 back. When I ask, she says she said $18. I add up everything and it's actually $15. We've done this song and dance a few times now. I don't know why she insists on ripping off her fellow Cantonese community. If they need a few extra dollars, just raise the prices and don't play these childish games. Whenever I see her in there now, I just leave. The buns, breads, and cakes are quite good but not good enough to deal with her.
They have a few dine-in arrangements, but they deliver a lot. Cooking is good, customer service is 4 out of 5. Cleanness ok. The menu is moderate. The best thing is, their price is not so high compared to the other restaurants in this area. I like coconut bread.
I always go there to get their traditional paper wrapped sponge cake and their pineapple buns because they’re fresh. I went back again today despite I was just there last week to buy the same stuffs. Unfortunately, the cashier lady’s attitude was worse than before and very rude. I usually pay with my credit card. However, I used cash today since I had my wallet with me. I gave her the exact amount with 5 Pennies as part of the total. She told me rudely with her angry mean face she doesn’t accept pennies. I told her that’s all I have in cash $20 dollars and 5 single pennies. I retorted it back that Pennies are also real money. I’m not paying you with my card for 5 cents. I was quite upset with her attitude and I left after I paid. I hope their customer service will improve. If not, I don’t even want to go back again. Despite their buns are fresh, the interior of the place is not pleasant and not too clean.

I only tried their fastfood buffet, which was disgusting. The broccoli and sweet & sour pork were drowning in a sea of lard. It was the most horrible meal I've had in a while.
Tried a couple of things there. All tasted awful. Wish I could leave a 0 star review.
I will never go to this place again. The Cashiers are rude and if they think you can't speak their language, they will talk about you btw them. I always speak up when I see they are being rude to people but today was my turn... today one of them told me I couldn't get the food after she actually shared it... all because I kept asking did you change your policy...stating the 3 choices has to be 2 meat and a Veg? I tried to explain I come here all the time and never heard this... at the end they all ganged up on me and said they are not giving me the food. I will write a complain... and if their manager is reading this, you don't have to take my words. just review your Cam at the store.
All the food there taste like leftover night cook, especially the congee taste like they cooked it separately with other ingredients, guess they were just busy enough that’s not care about the food quality anymore ,remember from now ,not to go in that bakery ever again ! the guy at the cashier was overcharge my bun, ridiculously stupid mistake. and he act like he didn’t know ? come on. You worked there forever and didn’t know the price?
I have to get the bakery a one-star rating. I asked a staff member if the congee contained meat and genuinely hoped for an honest answer. However, after taking a bite, I discovered a chunk of pork. It seems that the staff does not prioritize customer needs and may not be completely honest. It feels like they are only interested in making a sale.
