The food here is as delicious as it’s ever been, and the staff is so friendly. They have kiosks for ordering or you can order with a person. It’s less busy than the original location and a little easier to find. I come here often, because I can get in, out, and in the grain with ease.
I work in the neighborhood and come here often. Aside from being one of the only affordable lunch spots in the neighborhood, everyone that works here is really nice. They go out of their way to give you a good experience Even though it's pretty fast and casual. They are happy hour Lunch special is awesome!
Love this place. The staff is always so friendly and professional (shout out to Chris & KD) and the vibes are laid back and casual. I come in every few weeks and love trying new items off the menu. Some dishes I've enjoyed: Shrimp toast Duck bao Shu mai Dumplings Mapo cheese Thanks Nom Wah!
I took a chance on this spot and I am happy that I did. The staff consists of one person manning the register and several employees working in the kitchen. The kitchen is readily visible when you first step in and was clean, always a plus. The good energy and the way the staff interacted with each other (even at peak dinner hours on a weekend) was an added bonus to our experience. It was our first time here so we asked several questions and the gentleman who helped us was very patient and definitely knowledgeable on their menu. The food was really good. The overall value was great especially in this trendy neighborhood. We both had noodle dishes and both were delicious. They have a homemade roasted chili sauce you can add that was so good I refilled my ramekin and took some home for my left overs. The portion size was fair too. I would not recommend the scallion pancakes because the serving size was about half of the standard for those and they were a little greasy. Regardless I will definitely be back here and recommend this place to others. Lastly the bathroom was clean! Always a plus. Nom Wah is definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.
Simply put, stop by, this place is fire. In this city, it’s hard to stand out, some how Nom Wah effortlessly does exactly that. Bao buns and dumplings are awesome and not very expensive. Over that, the place sets a really nice vibe and counts with perhaps some of the best service you could find. You can also order on your phone, sit at a table and wait for food to magically appear on your table. Every other restaurant that tries too hard should come here and take note. Coming back.
I thought the food was delicious!! I love going to the Nom Wah tea parlor in Chinatown but the line is often long, so I’m very excited to have found this other location. The menu is a bit different but the quality was great. The fried rice and tofu buns were especially good! The outdoor seating is pretty basic but the street was quiet in the evening.
Good soup dumpling for an express spot! If you wanna grab a quick bite. This is not a bad choice! The pork bun has a very thick bread skin which I don’t like. But soup dumpling didn’t go wrong! The alcoholic drink is def. over priced- $8 dollar a can. Right next to Williamsburg bridge, you can go for a bridge walk after all that meat and carbs.
Went here recently. Ordered some ginger lemonade, which tasted good with kick of ginger and great lemonade. I don't like my lemonade sour, and this was great not too sour, not too sweet. Got some scallion pancakes, which was on a little thin side, but they tasted good. Lastly, I got some sweet chili tofu buns, which were delicious and soft.
Good representation of the main Nom Wah in a reasonably sized venue (it looks smaller at the front but opens up at the back to more seating). Ordering is at the front and then pick-up when you name is called, like a fast food joint, but the ingredients tasted fresh and the pricing is very reasonable. $3 beers at happy hour are an added bonus.
Having been to the original restaurant, I went in with high expectations however aside from not having to wait the food is subpar. Being so close to Chinatown I would suggest go elsewhere if you like to try proper dim sum. The menu here is definitely more Americanized so to say and this extends to the vibe as well. Over all it’s average and nothing compares to the original, but still a fun place to introduce dim sum to unfamiliar crowd.
Cute little spot but not really worth a trip. Especially when you’re so close to so many great Chinatown spots. Our dumplings were lukewarm and not terribly flavorful. It seems like a place where the employees just reheat frozen food. You’d be better off buying frozen dumplings and steaming or frying yourself.
The outpost that unfortunately doesn’t deliver on the originals rep. Feel like we had a good coverage of options but food was only okay. Best was veggie spring rolls but hard to mess those up. Fried chicken was too fried if that’s possible. Dumplings didn’t have much flavor. Probably more of a delivery take out place than a dine in.
