This is our favorite Indian restaurant near Alhambra! Even though there is only one staff running the front, he handles everything efficiently and is incredibly friendly. The service is smooth, and the food comes out surprisingly fast. The decor is warm and inviting, making the whole dining experience even better. The food is consistently delicious. Must-try dishes include the garlic truffle naan, saag paneer, samosa, chicken tikka masala, and cumin cilantro rice. Everything is flavorful and well-prepared. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. P.S. The mango drink was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that’s just personal preference. Highly recommend!
Had a great experience at Delhi Belly. The food was really great—rich in flavor with a perfect use of spices that gave the dishes an authentic Indian taste. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying, with great options if you enjoy flavorful or spicy food. The ambience was pleasant and inviting, with plenty of seating available, which made it very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Definitely a place worth visiting again.
Delhi Belly Restaurant deserves so much appreciation. Chef Sourav is truly magical with his cooking and brings amazing taste to everything he serves. Every plate is carefully presented with colorful flowers and microgreens. Even takeout looks just as nice as dining in the restaurant. He has also made custom traditional Indian dishes for us when requested, which shows how much he cares about the food and his guests. The staff is always very courteous and friendly too. If you are craving authentic Indian flavors, I would highly recommend this restaurant. It’s a place you will want to return to again and again!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and I truly felt valued as a guest. I will definitely be coming back
Great Indian restaurant in SGV for lunch and dinner with a group, even for an individual. I had Chettinad Chicken Curry, Signature Butter Chicken, Shaffron Rice, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi. Everything was amazing, and the service was great!! So a few days later, I went back for to-go. Then a week later, I returned again for Butter Chicken Bliss which is a take-out set that comes with butter chicken curry, rice, and naan and priced at $11. Very reasonably priced without sacrificing taste. Perfect for a chill day meal when you feel a bit lazy to cook. I have a somewhat small stomach so the portion of Butter Chicken Bliss is just enough for me.
I had delicious food for my birthday. Made reservations. My table was ready when I arrived with my party. Delicious tikka masala and briyani. Highly recommend the Naan with cream. We ordered three different curries, briyani and Naan that my party of five and I shared. It was more than enough food and had leftovers to go. Everything was delicious. The host was so kind and attentive throughout the entire time. She was observant in a thoughtful way ensuring that the spice level would delight my party and also provided me and my party with a surprise delicious ice cream with pastry on top for each of us. It was a surprise because none of my party requested it. Very happy with the service, her kindness, decadent food and atmosphere. Will be coming back more often.
I had an incredible experience! The ambiance was festive and cozy, especially with the beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the background. The food was beyond delicious — the samosas were crispy and flavorful, served with fresh greens and chutneys that were the perfect accompaniment. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and spiced to perfection, paired beautifully with fragrant basmati rice and the best garlic naan I’ve had in a long time. Every bite was a delight! The presentation of the dishes was stunning, and the staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring an excellent dining experience from start to finish. This place is a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend!
Wow!!!! The flavors coursing through this food are absolutely incredible. Sagar was attentive and full of fun information about the food, and it is clear the chefs really love what they do. It truly shines through in service and flavor. With spices imported directly from India, the use of all natural ingredients leaves you feeling great, both beaming from a delightful experience and with a happy tummy. The chefs are attentive to the complex flavors, making sure everything is bursting with yumminess. The menu had dishes originating from all over India, from southern street food, to the more popular (in usa) northern dishes. Favorite experience: Panipuri appetizer. Favorite flavors: We loved the Chicken Chili (aka wet Chicken 65 if you are familiar), the Tandoori Salmon (soft and flakey) and even the sexy fries! Oh and the garlic truffle Naan. Omg... (We loved it all, but those were definitely the highlights.) Didn't get dessert this time, but I intend to next time. There absolutely will be a next time! Yum yummy yum yum yum!
Ordered house lunch special (silver tray + fountain drink), butter chicken, and three different naans. Quick service, delicious food. Pleasantly surprised by the fries, the butter chicken was as good as anticipated! Favorite naan was the garlic truffle naan.
A hidden gem with exceptional food quality! The skillful use of spices and flavors truly stands out. Portions are generous, and the vibrant flavors make every bite memorable. A place worth revisiting for its outstanding taste!
The staff was friendly and helpful, creating a really cozy vibe and warm ambience. I stuck with my usual dishes—pani puri, samosa, chicken tikka, butter naan, and rice. I absolutely loved the presentation of the pani puri! They added a good amount of sauce, making each bite refreshing and well-balanced. The spices gave it a nice kick, which I really enjoyed. The samosas were also delicious—well-seasoned and perfectly spicy (just the way I like it!). The naan was just right—not too chewy or too hard. The only downside was that the chicken tikka sauce was saltier than usual, but everything else was spot on.
Absolutely loved this place! Amazing tasty and carefully crafted food and a cozy yet chic ambiance. Our waiter was also really nice and efficient. Food does take a moment to be ready, and that's absolutely normal given the result! Thank you we'll be back 💖🙏
Still SO good after almost a year! We love the korma and the pani puri so much now! We followed the chef here from Culver City (Arth) for his original, refined elevated Northern Indian dishes. We were surprised at the low key cafe but there is plenty of lot parking and homey, inviting decor and a big welcome. Everyone here seems to just love being here and the feeling is contagious. And we weren't disappointed in the food. We had the naan while we were waiting and it as standout thinner, extra crispy, flavorful as ever. The Chettinad chicken curry also stands out for the finesse and interest that is in every dish at this restaurant. We tried some of the vegetarian dishes ordered for the table: jackfruit masala and mushroom kofta—roasted stuffed mushrooms with onion - satisfying enough to take the place of any meat protein.Still our old favorites of the Tandoori Cornish Hen and the lamb chops are always a must-order. Destination drive worthy, found a no-freeway shortcut through Mission Road all the way to DTLA and west.

BUTTER CHICKEN That is the headline for this review because they do serve one of the most authentic butter chicken you can find around LA. Apart from that, they have bunch of gourmet style Indian food. I loved the malai chicken kebab. They were perfectly cooked with soft and succulent texture. Definitely go for that. The other personal fav was paneer shashlik, it just melts in your mouth and boasts true authentic Indian flavors. I found out the chef here has actually worked and trained with Sanjeev Kapoor who is a renowned chef and you can definitely tell the difference in food from other places. The ambiance is pretty nice and chill with great service! I would highly recommend this place.

A new addition to Alhambra's diverse dining cuisine, this place has the right combination to bring it to the next level. Dishes brought the right spices and flavors of high caliber Indian food to your palate. Cosy decor with upbeat bistro music gave the impression of an energetic environment. We visited on the third week of opening and they still had a few kinks to iron out in terms of service. But we're certain they will hit it out of the park in no time. It was nice that the chef came out to chat with us and asked about his food. Hopefully he'll still be able to do that when the place is a full house. You did well, chef. Keep doing what you're doing.
I really enjoy the atmosphere at this place. it’s easily the best Indian food I’ve had in Los Angeles. The presentation and quality of the dishes are impressive, and they offer plenty of healthy options, so there’s something for everyone. My personal favorites were the avocado bhel and the tandoori chicken wings. Highly recommend!
I’m an Indian guy who takes his food very seriously and to be honest, I’m almost always disappointed with Indian restaurants in the Los Angeles area. We stopped by here on a whim, and I was genuinely shocked by how good the food was. The butter chicken was rich and absolutely authentic. The lamb saag was cooked perfectly, full of flavor without being overpowering. But the real star was the lamb biryani. The presentation alone took me straight back to India, and the taste matched it, fragrant, layered, and truly authentic in a way you rarely find here. If you’re looking for real Indian food in Los Angeles, it honestly doesn’t get better than this. Highly recommended.
the food absolutely exceeded my expectations. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor in every bite. The seasoning was spot-on, giving it that authentic Indian taste without being overpowering. The chicken kebab was equally amazing—soft, well-marinated, and grilled to perfection. You can really tell the chef puts care into balancing spices and texture. The service was friendly, and the ambiance added to the whole experience. If you’re craving delicious Indian grilled dishes, Delhi Belly is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Delhi Belly truly lives up to its name — a delightful explosion of authentic Indian flavors that takes you straight to the heart of Delhi! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a cozy, vibrant atmosphere and the irresistible aroma of spices that set the mood for a perfect dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was just right throughout the meal. The service was quick, and the team genuinely cared about making the experience memorable. The food was nothing short of spectacular! Every dish was cooked to perfection — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The butter chicken and paneer tikka masala and kebab’s was an absolute standout — creamy, aromatic, and full of authentic spices. The naan was soft and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. To top it off, the desserts were divine — especially the gulab jamun and mango kulfi which ended the meal on the sweetest note. Overall, Delhi Belly is a gem for anyone who loves Indian cuisine. It’s the perfect blend of flavor, hospitality, and ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back soon — and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of India!
I recently visited this restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff were incredibly attentive and made our special day feel even more memorable. The food was absolutely outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish exceeded our expectations. My family loved each part of the meal, and my daughter was especially delighted. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We left with happy hearts and full stomachs. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a place that truly makes occasions feel special. Last but not the least special thanks to chef sagar👨🍳 you are doing fantastic job, you are incredible..

We were in the area past 3 so there were limited places open, glad to know this place stays open in between lunch and dinner. We had the butter chicken, garlic naan, amritsari fish fry food was flavorful and delicious! Will definitely come back here again 👌🏼
Terrible Experience at Delhi Belly - Avoid at All Costs! I am writing this review to warn others about the horrendous experience I had at Delhi Belly in Alhambra. From start to finish, it was a disaster. The owner, Sagar, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The fish was served raw, and when we brought it to his attention, he insisted we still had to pay the full bill! He clearly couldn't handle constructive criticism and had zero customer service skills. The restaurant seems to focus more on presentation than the quality of the food. The food was served cold, and the raw fish has made me ill today. It's obvious they prioritize aesthetics over serving safe, properly cooked meals. Jenny, the waitress, was equally rude, making the entire experience even worse. Sagar even tried to make us leave without paying, but we insisted on paying the full amount despite the inedible food. This place is a complete waste of money. As someone who works in the food industry, I can confidently say that Delhi Belly is a place to avoid, especially if you're looking for a pleasant family dinner. Save your money and your health – go somewhere else!
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered chicken tikka masala, but what we received was definitely not tikka masala. It looked like a plain gravy with red color and didn’t have the authentic taste at all. The worst part was the service. Even though the restaurant was not busy, our food took a very long time to arrive. The server dropped the food at our table and never came back to check on us or ask how the food was. There was no follow-up or attention to the table at allllllllllllllll. Overall, this was a very bad experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant—especially if you are very hungry and expecting quick service.
