⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we had such a wonderful meal and experience at colletta’s in alpharetta! the food was amazing (seriously, everything we tried was perfection) and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. but the real stars of the night were the people. our waitress, kelsey, was so attentive, warm, and genuinely swee! she made us feel completely taken care of. we also met the manager, jenna, who was hilarious, engaging, and just as attentive. together they made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down, and by the end of the night we were wishing we lived closer so we could be! colletta’s has the perfect mix of great food, great vibes, and even better people.
My family and I have seen this place while shopping at Avalon. We decided to try it out for brunch!!! Were we pleasantly surprised and tremendously impressed!!! That’s a yes!! From the amazing ambiance once you step through the doors, the friendly greeting from the host, and to top it off, A+ stellar service from Ryan our server!! Then the food came!! Um, the best crab frittata I have had in my life! Compliments to the chef!! Everything was so delicious! I will be back soon!!
The place has such a warm and welcoming vibe — classy but not too fancy, just perfect for a nice dinner out. The food really stood out for me — everything tasted super fresh, like it was made right then with high-quality ingredients. You can actually smell that fresh-cooked aroma when the dishes come out, and it makes the whole meal even better. Every bite felt full of flavor and freshness — nothing heavy or overdone, just perfectly balanced. Definitely one of those spots where you can tell they care about what they serve. Highly recommend if you’re around Avalon!
Such a good spot. Really nice atmosphere and the did was great. We got the octopus, and it was a little chewy but the flavor was great. More char would have been nice but that is just how we like it. The Black Pepper Tagliatelle was outstanding, so freaking good and different. The chicken parm was massive and so crunchy and flavorful. The spaghetti that came with it was slightly over cooked and didn't give me the tooth feel that would have set this over the top. The vodka sauce though was great.
We always have a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to the manager, Destiny. She is an incredible manager who truly cares—she made sure every guest was happy and comfortable, and at the same time you could tell she really looks out for her staff as well. The atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and well-run because of her leadership.its rare to see someone who balances customer experience and team happiness so well. Destiny clearly sets the tone for the restaurant, and it shows. The food is always great. Well the crushed red pepper is pretty spicy 😆 if u like sth spicy. 🌶️ GREAT TEAM !
We were not disappointed and will definitely be back! This Sunday, we discovered this highly-rated restaurant on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. A word of advice: it's best to make a reservation for dinner, as we walked in without one. Parking: The complimentary valet parking is a great convenience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is beautiful and vibrant, with sophisticated decor. Even the restroom was impressively clean and had lovely lit candles, adding to the pleasant ambiance. Food: We absolutely loved the pizza we ordered; it was delicious and surprisingly light, leaving us satisfied but not heavy. The pasta is freshly made in-house, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we look forward to returning with friends!
Omg yum! Had a great time.. went on a weeknight and it was busy but not uncomfortably so. Lovely ambiance & decor , food was great! We ordered burrata as an app, cocktails- pesca fizz (I had to force myself not to order it twice because it was so yummy) and gabana smash, main - black pepper tagliatelle.. I had to add a generous amount of salt to my pasta but outside of that it was flawless and I ate every last bite. Highly recommend 💖
All pasta was really so good. Vibe was good as well. Dont forget to order the mezzaluna.
I don’t even know where to begin with this review. Our expectations were exceeded over and beyond. This was our very first experience with Colletta’s. We were treated in a way only family members or life long friends would treat one another, like family! They celebrated with us and they bore our burden with us. It truly was an act of over the top hospitality. You can read about “over the top hospitality” in the book Unreasonable Hospitality or you can go to Collette’s and experience first hand! And the food was AMAZING and did not disappoint! Authentic Italian food through and through
I am really impressed with Colletta, which is an upscale Italian restaurant at Avalon in Alpharetta, GA. 1) The vibe and ambience are chill. 2) The foods are perfectly seasoned. Not too overpowering or bland. 3) My group had the lasagna, chicken parmesan, and the goat cheese pasta (AGNOLLOTI DEL PLIN). All of them are outstanding. The chicken parmesan is a huge portion (more fitting for 2 people). 4) The meatballs and the burrata appetizers are equally as good as the entrees. 5) Pro-tip: don’t get the right corner table by the kitchen. The servers walk in and out and to and from the kitchen, so members of your party may have to shift seats frequently to make way for the servers.
I chose this place for my birthday and I’m glad I did . We made reservations for 7:30 and when we arrived , it was busy but not jam packed . Seated about 2 minutes after being checked in . The hostess staff were very friendly. Our server I believe his name was Nathan . He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu . I loved how the servers all worked together in unison . Refilling our drinks , running the food , cleaning the tables .( shows how well the restaurant practices teamwork) . Our came out in 10 minutes or less , I would say . The steak dish was amazing (seasoned from head to toe ) . Highly recommend ). Each dish has great portion size and I will definitely return . It also has a outdoor patio area if you’re interested . All in all I would return and I recommend making a reservation .
We were able to make a reservation for 8p on Sunday, 12.22. Once we arrived, they mentioned they were a little backed up with reservations, so we were probably sat at around 8:20. Ambience- The restaurant is small and cozy. Beautifully decorated. When we called for our reservation, she told us the only availability was the patio. We were hesitant because it was very cold, but she assured us that it was warm and it was. They have heat lamps above providing heat to each table. Service- Vince was our server with Brad, (Blake Shelton look-alike). They were both great! Very attentive and knowledgeable. Food/Drinks- We ordered the meatballs for our appetizer. They were VERY good. The polenta that lay underneath was also very smooth and delicious. We ordered a full Ceasar salad, which was good as well. I ordered the Piazza Martini, but our server misheard and brought me the Mazzini Margarita. He corrected this and brought me the correct drink. Both very good. My husband ordered the Malfadine Nero pasta. He loved it. I tried a bite and agree that it was very good. He had a bad experience with squid ink pasta at another restaurant, so thoroughly enjoyed this meal. I was not very hungry, so I just ordered the shrimp scampi with flat bread. I was disappointed because the flat bread was more like chips. I wanted to put my shrimp on the bread with the sauce, but unfortunately, I could not. I would recommend a different type of bread. The shrimp was very, very good! We absolutely loved the restaurant and will return.
We celebrated Brian’s 50th birthday at Colletta at Avalon, and it was nothing short of amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was absolutely incredible—especially the lasagna, which was hands down one of the best we’ve ever had. Dani took such great care of our group and made the evening feel truly special. The biggest surprise of the night? They gifted Brian an OakSip wooden whiskey glass—something we’ve never seen a restaurant do. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. If you haven’t been to Colletta yet, you’re missing out. Do yourself a favor and go—whether it’s a special occasion or just a night out, they know how to make it unforgettable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wish I could give this place a 10/5! It was BEYOND amazing! From the beautiful, rustic and elegant design on the inside, to the stellar customer service from everyone inside, this place did not disappoint. I came for an early birthday celebration and the manager Shane, out of town manager Joe and our STELLAR waitress Christy made this a night to remember. We went for the family style deal which allowed us to taste four courses with the rigatoni and the short rib as a huge standout. I cannot wait to come back again to try some more authentic, fresh, Italian bites.
This was our second visit to Colletta, and our experience was great. Valet parking was complementary. Our hostess was accommodating as we requested a change to our reservation. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We had the meatballs for an appetizer. For entrées, we had lasagna and rigatoni. For drinks we had a lemon drop and an old-fashioned. The ambience was relaxing and comfortable. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely come back!
It is very tempting to come to such fancy Italian restaurant and order their specialty dishes. Whether steak or pasta or chicken, but I chose to take advantage of their brick oven pizza 🍕 and I was not disappointed. I ordered a white sauce pizza with mushrooms 🍄 truffle cream and smoked mozzarella. Dang...that hit the spot. Furthermore, my wife had roasted octopys 🐙 ...wow it was soft and chewable. A great indoor or outside atmosphere.
We went here for the first time, and it was wonderful. Our server, Ashely, spoiled us as she said she would! The food was terrific, and the bruschetta was the best I had so far. I will come back.
Colletta's has become a family favorite for special events. This was my third time here. We didn't reserve a table this time and asked to sit at the bar. We were able to sit at the kitchen bar, which was entertaining. I had the short ribs with spinach over polenta. I was at first leary of the polenta but actually it was delicious. Because I was celebrating my birthday they provided a complimentary dessert that was also delicious. Overall great place and atmosphere. There was a live performance that was also nice.
Loved it - first trip happened to be a good friend's birthday. We ordered apps, cocktails, dinner, and dessert. Everything was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding, and the environment energetic without being loud. Will definitely be going back soon.
Visited Colletta at the Avalon outdoor shopping mall for the first time and had a fantastic experience! Our visit happened over the weekend, so we opted for the brunch menu, and we were not disappointed. The Pizza and Ravioli were absolutely delicious. We made a reservation for our anniversary, and our waiter went above and beyond by treating us to a complimentary dessert, making our celebration extra special. Great food, excellent service – highly recommend! Make a reservation at Colletta today!
Colletta is hands down the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to so far! Italian is normally not my go to, however this is one I would definitely go to for special occasions! This magnificent restaurant is located at the illustrious outdoor shopping mall called the Avalon! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two amazing hosts! As we proceeded inside, the host ushered us to a booth! A booth that was big enough to fit at least 7 people comfortably! As we sat down, we were brought a vase filled with roses (pictured attached)! As we were brought our menu from the waiter (Daniel), we were amazed at how well the Customer experience in this place was! Daniel, who is a young adult was well-versed on the items on the menu and very welcoming! He was very professional! Daniel gave us some great recommendations as well as a huge on the house bonus! He decided to mix two favorite styles of pizza to create this amazing entree! (* Ask Daniel, can I have the Daniel Pizza! You will not be disappointed*) I don’t eat pizza as often anymore, however I will go out of my way to get this pizza! Overall, if you are seeking an amazing Italian restaurant to attend to, book a reservation to Colletta today!
If you are ever in the Avalon area in Alpharetta, definitely check out this Italian spot. Make sure you get Erik as your sever! The place was very relaxing, food was on time, hot, and well put together I should say. Good for a quiet date or even a nice group of friends. Try the meatballs and lasagna! I cant say more because it was just that good. 1st time visiting there but not the last. Also they have really good drinks. (Lemon martini please)
First of all a HUGE thank you to James! He was amazing and really treated us well. We had the family style surprise three course meal and it they really blew us away. The food was amazing & to top it off James recommended some extremely yummy drinks. Definitely becoming a go to Italian gem.
Tonight, we returned to Colletta to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was nothing short of amazing! We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Alex and Tyler, who were absolutely fantastic. Their attentiveness and friendly service made the evening extra special. We started with the Mozzarella in Carrozza and Arancini, both incredibly flavorful. Then came the Funghi Pizza, which was pure perfection—every bite was a delight. For dessert, we couldn’t resist trying both the Lemon Compote and Chocolate Cake, and wow… they were divine! The mocktail and cocktail were spot on, rounding out a perfect meal. Colletta has officially won me over, and I can’t wait to go back to try their pasta and halibut next time.
me and my mom had a FABOLOUS time here. Cam and Alex at the bar had the best sweet energy. The mushroom truffle pizza on gluten free crust was chef kiss! We also had the Caesar salad. my mom got the trout and I had the lasagna and we got a steak to go. the blackberry ginger beer mocktail was sooo good. We will be back!
Always love Colletta - it's a great go-to any time of year, and this time we had amazing service with our server, Ryan! He made great recommendations on both food and wine and helped make a good experience even better - even during the busy holiday crowds! Highly recommend!
Our waiter Christian made our dining experience unforgettable! He was friendly, professional, and attentive from start to finish. Christian recommended the Valentino Margarita—and wow, it was absolutely delicious! He knew the menu so well and gave us the best suggestions, which made our brunch even more enjoyable. He checked on us often without ever being intrusive, kept everything flowing smoothly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find service that feels both genuine and polished, and Christian delivered that perfectly.
We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our daughters birthday. The staff went out of their way to make sure our whole family and especially our daughter had a spectacular evening. The food was all also wonderful, from the meatball app to the dessert. Seven out of five stars.
We recently celebrated our daughter’s 4th birthday here, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is beautiful — warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion. What stood out the most was their amazing service. The staff and the manager went above and beyond to make our daughter feel incredibly special on her birthday. We were blown away by their thoughtfulness and genuine kindness. My daughter was so happy, smiling the whole time during the dinner. It meant so much to our family and we truly appreciate the extra mile they took to make our celebration so memorable!!
Absolutely amazing time here, the food was delicious, atmosphere was great, and the service alone made it all worth it. We each got appetizers, main dishes, and shared a dessert. Morgan did an amazing job, she was so personable and was a pleasure talking to. Loved the experience and would definitely come back
I was a delightful experience! The food, the dining area, the staff and the service were magnificent. I came all the way from Orlando with very high expectations and Colletta didn’t disappoint. They were above and beyond! In my experience and also, me coming from a very rooted Italian family, I can say the food is a perfect combination between tradition and a modern twist. I loved every single taste… And please, leave some space for dessert: The Charlotte cake was sublime. I can say, that this restaurant is by far one of the best places I’ve been. I feel lucky of being able to enjoy this experience. Last, but not least, Morgan, my server for the night: She was phenomenal! Every single recommendation of the menu was accurate. She explained every dish with such love, passion and professionalism that I felt honored to be there.
Colletta is always one of my absolute favorite places to visit when I’m in town. I have been getting the Calabrese pizza here for years, and it never disappoints. So nostalgic and reliable. The lasagna I had last night was the best I’ve ever had in my life, no exaggeration. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we had the pleasure of meeting one of the managers, Destiny, and she was delightful. We were served by Christian, and he was excellent. Very attentive, but not overbearing - knowledgeable, and gave genuine recommendations. He suggested the Sun Grove cocktail, and I could’ve had about 10 more. We might’ve overstayed our welcome because we simply did not want the night to end. Thank you Colletta team for a really special and memorable night.
Very nice atmosphere. We had the burrata, pizza, & lasagna. All were very good. Service was excellent. Our server Star was very friendly and attentive. The manager checked on us twice. Even the runners asked if we needed anything each time they delivered a dish to the table. Will definitely return.
Just made it out last week for a corporate dinner. Boy oh boy plenty of servers in the room. Had a slice of 🍕 as an appetizer as we waited for additional guests. Drinks were flowing like the Chattahoochee and the meals were incredible. Loved the pork chop, flat iron steak and salmon was "bussin " as the kids say today.
We were a party of 9. We stopped in early and made a reservation for that evening. The staff was very accommodating and reserved us a fantastic table. The waiter Moses was excellent and tended to out every need. The drinks and food were excellent as well. I highly recommend Collette for a great evening dinner and experience out
Tonight was our first time dining at Colletta, and the entire experience was fantastic. We were greeted by Avery, who introduced herself right away and let us know she’d be taking care of us along with another server, Star. Avery walked us through the menu and all of our options and noted we had young kids with us, and immediately told us about their kids’ menu (which isn’t listed but has great options!). We started with the meatballs and focaccia—my kids loved them—and Avery and Star even gifted my son with an extra order of meatballs with his meal. We grabbed dessert to go, because they sold us on the Charlotte cake with such a perfect description that we knew we couldn’t pass it up. Both Avery and Star were incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout dinner. They truly made our first visit special. Huge thank you to Avery and Star for the wonderful service. We’ll definitely be back!
Colleta was an absolutely unreal experience. The food was spectacular, the service friendly and welcoming, and the environment was so inviting. I was served delicious food in a surplus and treated by the most amazing staff I’ve ever met. My party was celebrating a special occasion, and they made it the best time and truly completed the dining experience. I was treated with a complimentary dessert and item, and shown great care the entire time. Words cannot describe how impressed I am with Colleta. The staff truly blew it out of the water.
The octopus was flavorful , I could taste the herbs . This was the best part of the dinner. Arugula salad was good and the ravioli has too much oil. The service was excellent. Parking can be a challenge as it is I Avalon but the valet which is complimentary is a huge plus.
We celebrated our Golden anniversary and the wonderful and attentive staff made it extra special. The food was superb, service impeccable, and we felt every person there celebrated with us. Thank you to the management and staff and chefs for a momentous evening
boyfriend and I visited on a week night for dinner around 7. We did not have reservations but was promptly seated. The atmosphere was warm and lighting was a little dim at our table and I had to use my phone light to see the menu. We were seated inside at a table next to the window near patio. The food was good. Large portions. The 2 salads in our pic is an antipasto salad split. So it could easily be a meal. My chicken Parmesan was a little overcooked. But I don’t particularly like send food back. My boyfriend choice the lasagna and he said it was good. We did not order drinks. I don’t particularly like restaurants that allow pets. We saw a woman come In with a dog And she was seated outside on the patio. I noticed one of the host making a comment as well to another server. Overall experience was good. Full menu is online.
The restaurant is elegant and the staff is nice. It’s a bit pricey but totally worth it—the food is incredible, the mixture of different flavors and textures is absolutely stunning. Everything tasted fresh and the ingredients are of high quality. The presentation of the food was beautiful too. We had to wait quite a long time for the appetizers but then the entrees arrived too soon—we haven’t finished the appetizers yet. We had to wait quite a long time for the desserts too, but the manager came over to apologize for the long wait time and that meant a lot to us; we really felt like they care about their guests. Oh and the cocktails and mocktails are superb too!! The music was way too loud, though, we couldn’t really talk to each other. Highly recommended, can’t wait to go back to try more dishes!
I had the pleasure of dining at Colletta, a charming locale in Alpharetta. I opted for a classic Caesar salad and shrimp scampi to tease the tastebuds. For the main, the chicken Parmesan did not disappoint - perfection on a plate. Meanwhile, the steak dish was a tad underwhelming, with an unsavory cut and subpar kale. On the brighter side, I found solace in my delightful cocktail. The overall experience was enjoyable, punctuated beautifully by our attentive server. Despite one unfortunate dish, I'd still say Colletta stole my heart. Can't wait to visit again.
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional—her name was even printed on the menu, which made the evening feel extra special. To our surprise, they also gave her a thoughtful gift based on the preferences they asked about when we made the reservation. The staff went above and beyond, and our server was incredibly kind and attentive. Thank you to the entire team for making the celebration so memorable.
Super beautiful atmosphere but decent food. The flavors on these dishes did not live up to the expectations of the other many reviews or the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant. Focaccia bread 4/5- very fragrant and delicious, though a small amount. For 2 people, it can be enough. I enjoyed the delicious texture on the bread and it's infused oil and herbs. Very delicious for an appetizer. Black pepper tagliatelle 3/5- Interesting take on a pasta but was a little too brothy for my liking. The oil and egg made it more like a soup than an actual pasta dish. The flavor was decent and there was no profound delicious flavor from any particular ingredient. There was barely any pork tesa. Chicken parm 3/5 - Pretty bland tomato sauce and the chicken was not the most flavorful. Portion was below average too. For this price, I was expecting better quality.
Overall disappointed although we had fun together. Had nothing to do with the food, or service. We enjoyed the romantic upscale atmosphere. Busy Saturday night, so obviously a bit slow. We had 8:00 reservations outside on patio, were early, and ended up grabbing a spot at the bar that opened up at 8:15. Took about 15 minutes for us and others to get recognized and get a drink. Just will require some patience. Which is fine. We enjoyed the wine. We shared the Halibut, and the Lasagna. We noticed the couple next to us accidently got shrimp and it took 30 more minutes to get Lasagna correctly. The Lasagna took about 30 minutes for us, and was less than luke warm temp when it arrived. The fish was fishy. Was really looking forward to the Lasagna. Just be patient and enjoy the atmosphere. Evidently not a lot of quality controls coming out of the kitchen and maybe that’s from years of good reviews going to their head. Will try again in a few months.
Soooo let’s be honest… the food was giving no seasoning, no excitement, no memories. 😬 The charcuterie board was the only star of the show. The lasagna portion was huge but tasted like they forgot the spice rack, and the steak was small and bland, which is a tragic combo. Drinks were just okay nothing to write home about. I will say the staff was super nice and the atmosphere was really cool, so points for vibes… but flavor? Missing in action.
Decided to try this well decorated restaurant at The Avalon because the food looked so good on pictures. Valet was available right in front of the restaurant and they were efficient. The hostess and waiter were both pleasant. We really enjoyed our drinks and the focaccia as a starter. We were disappointed with our main course though because they both lacked flavor. The presentation was great, but it needed a lot of support. We rarely ask for salt/pepper but we did for this meal. The skin on the trout had an unpleasant burnt taste as well.
Colletta is great for killing time or catching up with friends, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our server, Zac, was incredibly slow—and rarely checked on us. The food was ok. While the ambiance was pleasant and the company made the experience worthwhile, the service really fell short. Holy cow it took like 30 minutes (or more) to order our drinks than another maybe 30 to order our entrees then maybe another 30 to wait for our food. 😬 Thank goodness it worked out for us as we were catching up with each other but holy cow if this was me and my family (aka with kids) we wouldn’t have survived the wait. I had to flag Zac down multiple times for simple requests that a quick check-in could’ve resolved. When I’m paying $$ for a meal that likely cost a fraction to make, it’s not unreasonable to expect basic attentiveness. I’ll also spare you the multiple mishaps as I think what I’ve shared is sufficient to prove my point. While I’m glad I got to experience this place, it’s definitely a “one and done” for me. Pros: it was a fun place to catch up with friends, they got us a round table, and the host/hostess were kind.
Our meal was confirmation that I wasn’t missing anything by never having been here before. Holiday lights near our area was off, had to request they turn it on. Our server was just not “there”. We asked for straws, didn’t get it. Asked for bourbon to be replaced by vodka for my mule and was charged $3 up charge without any heads up. Asked for some leftover food to be boxed up, and she never included mine. My friend is a vegetarian and requested her veggies when asked, and it was half correct only. Tried asking for a manager and nobody came. Reached out via email and no response. So hoping that Avalon will be wiser in choosing restaurants (and vendors in general). Note: they were only a bit over half full so no reason why things couldn’t have been on point. I was willing to let it go without a review but your lack of desire to hear my feedback prompted this review.
Nice decor in the restaurant, but everything we had was very meh. Wine glasses weren’t polished and had dish detergent residue around the rim. Our bottle of wine, something they serve by the glass also, didn’t come until after the server took our entire dinner order. The knife that was given to me when I sat down has something melted/stuck to it. Our daughter wanted her dish boxed up, and the server took it away to box but never brought it back (we didn’t realize this until after we had left). Our server refilled our wine glasses once but didn’t come back to refill after this. I worked in the service industry for over 20 years, so I feel like I am not being overly harsh on this restaurant. Dinner for me, my husband and 2 daughters was $260. For this price, I would have expected better food and service honestly. This was our first and only visit here.
