Grateful we have another food option No more travelling to Pasadena for Thai food. I've tried the Pad Si Ew, with Beef, Pad Thai with Chicken, Crab Rolls, Tom Yum with Shrimp& Chicken Fried Rice & Mango Sticky Rice ~ Delicious. Generous portions.I've been surprised 2 find tomatoes in some of the dishes. There is a 20 to 25 minute wait. Not sure when inside dining will occur. I need to ask if beverages are available. Parking behind the building Give them a try.

Absolutely delicious! Looks like they are having a soft open with just take out only right now, and they only accept cash or Venmo. Super good food though. We got the Pad Thai, Basil Chicken (ground chicken with bell peppers and onion) and yellow curry. All phenomenal.

Best Thai food in San Gabriel valley. They have reopened again in Altadena. Please support this wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant.

We recently moved nearby and Miya has quickly become a weekly treat. The Khao Soi is absolute perfection: flavorful broth, very tender chicken, fresh and chewy noodles. Everything I’ve tried so far has been great. The sausage, the papaya salad, drunken noodles, and spring rolls are also a favorite.

Surprisingly great Thai food in Altadena! Strong flavors and good portions. Small place but doesn’t feel cramped, nice decorations add to the ambiance. ..Definitely coming back

Went on Friday, the day after they opened. They ran out by 6:30. Went back the next day. It's still take out only. No online or phone orders. We were first in line at 3:45. Got pad thai, pad siew, green curry & basil chicken. They forgot to give us the basil chicken, but apologized profusely & gave us a Thai tea. The food was delicious. Everything tasted like authentic warm, comforting Thai home cooking. We will definitely be back.

Miya is the best Thai food I have found in Los Angeles so far and I’ve lived here my whole life. Their Khao Soi is a favorite, the fried chicken is unreal and their mango sticky rice is a must when it’s in season.

Not sure what you’re doing if you’re not eating here. Cute spot, fresh & delicious, friendly neighborly staff, local family run joint, amazing menu options. They do a meat free Tuesday which we LOVE to see. Will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. Food is unreal. Great Thai experience. It’s small and sometimes a bit crowded so order takeout or try and grab one of their tables.

Delicious! Casual, attentive service. Limited outside seating. Two rooms inside- one of them is a bit loud, but that could change once they become more established and add to the “decor.”

Fantastic little Thai restaurant on North lake in Altadena. Yes, they're open after the Eaton fire! Smaller menu (more like their opening menu), but same excellent quality as before.

Best Thai in Altadena/Pasadena area without a doubt. Most likely the best beef panang in Los Angeles County.

I love everything about this restaurant, especially plant-based Tuesdays (non-plant-based food here is also SUPERB, the spicy dishes are ❤️) and I truly appreciate the energy of everyone who works here. I moved to the neighborhood around the same time they had their soft opening, and I’ve been back for a dish or two almost every week! I feel embarrassed to come back more often haha. I think about their dishes with holy Thai basil a lot. I truly cannot recommend this spot enough, so come check it out and you might get hooked too!

I ordered the basil chicken, red pumpkin curry, pad thai, glass noodle veggies, and mango sticky rice and it was all absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is small but there is enough indoor seating for probably 8-10 people, and there are also a couple tables outside. There's some really cool art on the walls, and the overall vibe was really chill. This is my new favorite Thai place for sure.

One of the best Thai food spots in Pasadena/Altadena- and that’s quite an achievement given the competition. Miya sets themselves apart with a well crafted menu, cozy and uniquely decorated space, and neatest of all, every Tuesday they have an all vegetarian menu with some unforgettable choices. Honestly worth checking out before the place inevitably becomes famous and the line for a table always out the door! Also huge shout out to the staff who took the time to walk us through the menu, explain how the restaurant dining choices worked, and generally went above and beyond to make the experience match the quality of the food!

Best Thai food on this side of town. They have a separate lunch and dinner menu. Lucky for us, we actually came at the right time when they were changing to their dinner menu which had a lot more options. They have traditional Thai stir fried noodle dishes and curries, as well as other hidden gems like khao soi and crispy pork belly (which I ended up getting and highly recommend). Perfect blend of salty, sweet, spicy and sour. No alcohol, but they do have a variety of drinks/sodas. Order at the register and then grab a table. There’s a cart on the side that has all the condiments and to go containers which I thought was thoughtful. Plenty of street parking. Read the signs for exact time limits. Overall, I would come back here (and only here) for all of my Thai cravings.

A
Alex Aronsohn

Very good food, and reasonable prices. This is a great addition to the neighborhood! Right now it's walk up orders and take out only. I ordered at around 6pm on a Friday and it was around 40 minutes for the food to be ready. Pad siew beef - very classic and good. Eggplant basil - vegetarian dish with eggplant, bell peppers, onions. The eggplant was very flavorful. Basil chicken - also very good with a little heat. Reminded me of ordering this at Sticky Rice (their other restaurant). Green curry - nice tender beef and Thai eggplant, and the curry was super flavorful with mild heat. I wished for more variety of veggies - maybe some bamboo shoots, bell peppers, etc. but that's just personal preference, the dish didn't need it. Everything is priced at $15 and the non-noodle dishes come with rice - no upcharge. I will definitely be back, and look forward to dining in.

Stumbled in on plant based Tuesday, they knocked it out of the park with their pumpkin red curry. Service is top notch. Everyone there is so kind, you can tell they're passionate about food from the quality of each dish.

I have been having Thai food for most of my life. Or since the late 80s when I went to high school at a school that was nearly half Thai. A friend who lives near strongly - and I mean repeatedly - suggested we try it while house sitting for him this weekend. He’s always given the best advice and this was no different. The flavors here transported us to a family dining table, and to Thailand itself. Smoky. Vibrant. Tender. Subtle. Shocking. Addictive. All words that rushed to mind, and most of them from the scent alone. We liked it so much we might need to move to this part of town. And have committed to going to Thailand soon. We got the Crab Fried Rice, which was a less crab forward and greasy version of a favorite of ours. The Panang Beef was what really got me swooning. It’s been awhile but it reminded me of a blend of flavors from Panang and Masaman dishes I’d had in the past just so so much more complex. I don’t know what they’re doing back there in that kitchen but I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu over time. If you’re in the neighborhood I’ll house sit anytime! 😅 Note: we didn’t dine in so cannot comment on service, but the space itself was as tasteful as the food was taste full!

Came here last night after reading they had finally opened on Eater. The food was excellent! We had the basil chicken and the green curry and they were both delicious. They’re not fully open yet and they definitely got overwhelmed by the turn out but my food was ready in about 30-40 minutes. They also ran out of food by the time I came back to pick up my order but I’m sure once they’re fully opened that won’t be an issue.

Love Miya Thai. The beef Panang and yellow chicken curry will send you to heaven. I’ve barely tried the rest of their menu because it might not be as good. It feels very much like Thai soul food, like a gang of grandmothers made it, makes ya feel warm & fuzzy inside. The quality of ingredients is great, my body doesn’t feel awful so that’s a great sign. Mango sticky rice 🥭 🍙 is a must try

So the neghborhood is recouperating from the forest fires last year...this is a great little tai resturant...we showed up on Tuesday, vegetarian night. The food; springbrools, vegi rolls, padbtai, assortments of curries and soups were well seasoned and loaded with fresh veg. Well done!!

It's frankly a miracle that Miya survived the Eaton Fire, and they are back and better than ever. This is probably the best Thai restaurant in LA (I'm sorry, Bulan!) Stop reading this review and just go to Miya now. If you like Thai food, go. If you like vegan/vegetarian food, go on Tuesday - enjoying their Plant Based Tuesday night as the sun sets over the San Gabriels is a beautiful experience. Pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and red pumpkin curry are all standouts, but everything is amazing. Why are you still reading? Go to Miya!

We’ve only been here a couple times but it’s already become an obsession and our favorite Thai restaurant in LA and its surrounding areas. The food, service, atmosphere are all spot on. We’ve loved everything we’ve eaten from here but some of the best is the fried chicken with papaya salad, which is out of control good, pumpkin curry, crab fried rice, and spicy crispy pork belly. It feels like you can’t really go wrong with anything here, though.

This place offers delicious Thai food, with a rotating menu and lots of vegetarian/vegan options. It is family-run and you feel as though they cooked your meal just for you. Everything they make is outstanding, but I particularly love their pumpkin curry. The staff is kind and efficient.

M

I'm a New Yorker, so I've been to many Thai restaurants and this is one of the best I've been to. I love the wok hei in drunken noodle. The Thai basil was amazing as well, but it is quite spicy so be careful if your spice tolerance isn't so good.

J
Jeff Dolen

I have eaten here twice in the past 3 weeks and also done some take out. Cant say enough how great the food is. They have a revolving menu and some of the best thai I have had in LA. The staff is all very friendly and really hope they can survive through the rebuilding of Altadena. Come support them!

C
Chris Wong

They just reopened today after the Eaton Fire almost burned down the building a few months ago. The food is excellent and the interior atmosphere is very clean and welcoming. I can tell I will be getting the Panang Beef Curry and Eggplant Basil again, they were both very tasty. As it stands now, you can only order in person, but the wait wasn't very long.

Y
Yehezkiel Hamzah

If you’re craving good Thai food, this spot delivers on flavor. The dishes are well-prepared, and the quality of the food is impressive. However, be mindful of the small storefront — it’s not ideal for dining in, especially for groups larger than four. The indoor space is cozy, seating only about 14 people, with one additional table outside. Street parking is available, which makes picking up takeout convenient, and that’s likely your best option here. Overall, great food, but better enjoyed at home!

Great authentic Thai food in Altadena with fantastic interior design and vibes! Staff is super friendly and attentive, although a bit understaffed which could lead to longer wait times. A nice Thai restaurant that is very easy to miss! The food is not very authentic but they’re delicious. I love that they do a lot of great veggies menu. The vibe is “retro Thai” I’d say which is not common to find anymore. The server was very friendly! A nice place to stop by for quick lunch.

I heard they reopened and did a phone order for lunch! I ate the Ka Pow Gai with a fried egg, and my coworker had Crab Fried Rice. Let me just say... so delicious. Fantastic, authentic Thai restaurant with a trendy yet comfortable interior. The Tom Kha and Khao Soi were favorites of the night, but I’m confident anything on the menu will be delicious. Interior is small, but cozy. Might need to wait a small bit for a table, but that wasn’t a problem. Excited to come back!

Amazing gem in Altadena! Miya is a super lowkey and cozy dinner spot that serves up some of the best thai food in the area. Not only is the menu simple, the dishes are unique and perfectly executed. You will find a balance of popular thai dishes and rotating and seasonal specials. The order and sit down style operation makes the dining experience easy and quick. My favorite dish was the pad see ew and the crispy pork, you can’t go wrong with anything. Great for family-style and sharing. Can’t wait to come back :)

Plant-based Tuesday? Sign me up. I love eating vegetarian whenever possible, so this spot was perfect in both menu options and their flavors! We got a yellow and green curry, pineapple fried rice, crispy tofu, Tom yum soup, and a giant fried mushroom. The portions are generous and everything tasted so good. We got full with still more than half the food left (including more than half the rice). The fried rice was seasoned so well, and I've never seen a king oyster mushroom this ginormous. The pickled salad that came with it was refreshing as well. I absolutely loved the sweet and sour dipping sauce for the tofu and mushroom. The staff was also super friendly and checked on us a couple times. Such a great visit!

Delicious Thai food, friendly staff, and such a welcoming vibe. Miya is one of those neighborhood gems that makes Altadena special. This place is amazing. Essentially all the dishes were great! My favorite was the beef panang and the fried chicken with papaya salad. Some of the others we got to try were a favorite of others were the khao soi, the spicy pork belly, the tom yum soup, and Tom kha coconut soup. The Omelette and the pineapple fried rice were also outstanding. The decor is cool and it's a bit of a lively meal as far as noise level goes. The staff is very nice and attentive. Our group of four had a lovely time at Miya! We ordered the chicken khao soi, beef pad see ew, beef panang, and morning glory. All were wonderful dishes and they arrived at our table pretty quickly. Cute neighborhood restaurant!! The menu consists of traditional Thai dishes. Orders are placed at the counter. A number is given to you to place on your table of choice. The place is small but cozy. Really enjoyed all the dishes ordered. Got papaya salad, pad siew, and stir-fried veggies. Dishes were seasoned well!! The spice level is quite mild for my taste. You can always add more chili with the condiments provided. Ingredients were fresh and tasted like thai grandma's cooking. It's definitely a repeat spot for me.

I loved Miya so much. It’s a humble space with a lot of character and the love that went into it is apparent. The menu options are fairly vast, with most of the Thai staples you may already know. I got the pad kee mow (“Drunken noodles”) and it was a great size and tasted delicious. The staff was very sweet and accommodating, and made it feel like a nice family owned restaurant experience. I absolutely want to come back to try more and different dishes.

Truly amazing Thai food—amazing in every sense of the word. Having spent time in Thailand and fallen in love with the cuisine there, I was thrilled to discover this restaurant. It’s the closest I’ve come to genuinely authentic Thai food in many, many years. And the Khao Soi? Simply unbeatable.

We LOVE Miya’s and are so happy that they are open and thriving. The food is exceptional! The warmth, kindness and professionalism of the entire staff/team is so heartwarming. We always over order so we have more to take home. Emotionally, it’s hard to drive up into this devastated area of Altadena but worth it when you know you want incredible businesses like Miya’s to thrive. The menu is amazing!

So good. I went here for the first time for a birthday lunch with some girlies. And then came back here the very next day with my husband just so he can try it. He isn’t a huge Thai food person per se but he loved it! The curry is CREAMY and will smack you in the face with flavor. Small place with 4-5 ish tables per room. There are two rooms. One long table for party of 8 people was comfortable but rest are 2-4 seaters. There are a couple of seats outside too if the weather is nice Different get the chicken Khao Soi. I’ve never had that before and I ordered it two days in a row.

I’ve never had that before and I ordered it two days in a row.

Very good food. Dine in experience is not the best. Small restaurant. Order at the counter and find a table. Tom kha and pad thai were great. They ran out of yellow curry so we ordered panang curry.

The food is quite good, especially the basil chicken and the mango sticky rice (seasonal). The service wasn’t good. The food was delivered to our table along with a cart of condiments that we shared with the neighboring table. There was no further service, we had to get up and then wait for more water. This was particularly disconcerting because an 18% service fee was applied at the time of purchase. 🫤

The fried chicken was quite good. I had the Pad Thai with crispy pork, but the pork seemed overcooked and tasted chewy and dry. That said, I really liked the noodles—they were different from other Pad Thai I’ve had. Overall, I like the recipes here ❤️

Legit thai food in Altadena. Their khao soi was one of the best I've ever had in LA. They nailed all the flavors and ingredients. The portion was pretty filling too. Customer service could use some work. We walked in and no one at the counter acknowledged us for a while. Not the most friendliest establishment The space is TINY. 3 small tables and a long table inside, and 2 medium tables outside.

My wife has the pad kee mao and I had the spicy crispy pork basil. Both were good, but not great. At some Thai restaurants, the food all tastes the same and it doesn't really matter what you order. That certainly wasn't the case here. Both dishes were different and we enjoyed them. But they weren't spectacular. The flavors didn't pop and they weren't bright. I'm not sure what was missing, but something about them felt... Less than exciting. I gave it 4 stars and would happily eat there again if I'm in the area. But it's not worth the drive from the intersection of the 10 & 57 freeways.

I was hopeful for this place but service and the takeout process was not great. Don’t get me wrong the food is pretty good. We placed our togo order at 7:25P and it said it’d be ready at 7:50. We show up at that time and they said 5-10 min which was fine it was really busy that night. Didn’t get our food closer to 8:05P and our food was sitting there. It seemed like she didn’t see it and was busy helping others. They also forgot one of our entrees and we had to go back and ask for it. Didnt really seem apologetic so don’t think we’ll go back :(

Be aware Miya Thai is not pet friendly. We have been coming to Miya Thai since they opened. We lost our home in Altadena in the fire and they used to let us bring our dog who is very sweet and well behaved (when we take her to restaurants she just lies down under the table) but sadly she is now traumatized since the fire so we cannot leave her alone and they turned as away because they said they have had “a lot of complaints”. They also removed the outdoor seating so there is no option for us other than to get food to go. They are so busy and popular now I guess they don’t feel the need to accommodate us any longer. It’s a shame as we love the food and we supported them since the beginning.

Last night (11/29) we placed a to-go order at Miya. It was our first night back in our Altadena home after 10 months of evacuation, and our children and grandchildren were waiting at home for our return to Altadena celebratory dinner. After 45 minutes, they informed us that a dish we had ordered was sold out (why didn’t they notice this before accepting payment for the order?). We chose a replacement dish. After 15 more minutes we asked for our partial order and left. The restaurant staff were completely indifferent to having ruined our evening. No thanks to Miya, we are happy to be home.

The food is VERY TASTY. One of the tastiest Thai food joints I've had. I'd give this 5 stars for the food alone. However, the one guy server was rude. The 2 women servers were hospitable and kind. But the guy was just rude to everyone. He needs a lesson in hospitality.

We love their food and vibe, even the plates and all the decor are all well thought out, carefully curated. Their food is generally good, we tried Thai fried rice (full of flavor), Som Tam (delicious and I like that they added carrots and Thai eggplants, but not savory enough for my liking), Rad Na (love how they scorched the noodle to the point the edges of the noodles were crispy); Pad Thai (when they were very new it was more savory but now it’s rather sweet. We prefer it less sweet but I like the chives and chewy noodles. I liked it better with crispy pork bits—more unique that way too). Thai tea was good. Not too sweet, strong flavor. Service is decent but this place is pretty small and can get very busy so I think their level of service is reasonable. It’s hard to tend to people when there’s a lot going on. Overall very clean and we love what they did to represent Thai culture and yet add their own twist here and there. The only thing that really disappointed us was the automatic service charge of 18% that’s not up front. With how busy it can get, it’s hard to pay attention to what’s going on. We didn’t notice the service charge and added tip as usual when the tip screen came on. We asked for the receipt later and realized there was a service charge and we paid “additional tip.” For transparency, it should be clearly visible, front and center on their menu and the screen or even mention it verbally when you order.

It's hit and missed here. Thai fried rice doesn't taste Thai at all while glass noodles fried taste exactly as Thai traditional taste. Has to tips n order first before seating. Can't ask for bowl coz they said they do not have one. Basically you have to get up n get togo boxes on ur own server came just once to bring the food. I wouldn't go back but cozy little place. A bit pricey for the portion given.

this was first time at this place. Large chunks of fat in the chicken curry mixed with chicken skins. The slimmy content felt like a slap on the face for no tip. We did not tip because we did not dine in and it was so expensive, 51 dollars was not a fair price for two dishes. The fatty chunks and chicken skins felt like it was straight from the food trash bin, if they were not mixed in to this purchase, we would not write a review at all.

We ordered chicken pad Thai, yellow chicken curry. Papaya salad and 2 Thai ice teas. Total for pick up was $62!! The pad thai was disappointing. Tamarind was very forward and the dish was tart. The chicken was tough and overcooked and they used thin vermicelli like noodles that were congealed in clumps, not traditional pad thai rice noodles. No cilantro, a tiny smattering of peanut and bean sprouts. The papaya salad was room temperature and not chilled at all. The curry was okay, as was the Thai iced tea. BUT $62 for two people?! The space they are in was a functioning restaurant for YEARS. They have been opened for 8 months with take out only- no ambiance and cheesy hand written menu on a piece of paper. No ambiance, not much selection and mediocre food. I'll spend my money ELSEWHERE!

Good food but confusing and lackluster service model. They charge upfront right after ordering and ask for a tip on the checkout computer, and hide the fact that they already put on an 18% service fee so I accidentally ended up tipping like 40%. Then the table service is minimal, they bring your food but you have to get your own silverware and napkins which is confusing and unclear; they come by to refill your water but it is not possible to make any further hospitality requests like a to go box. The food is good and the sticker price is ok, but ends up costing a lot for dine in with a lackluster service. I might try getting take out if I can avoid the service fees and just pay sticker price. If not then I won’t eat here again.

The place is very cute with a nice atmosphere. The food was decent, favoring more towards the curry (my husband got a Thai green curry) which was good but my pad siew was a bit bland. The downside was we waited at least 30/35 minutes for my noodles to come out and a total of 1 hour for my husband’s Thai green. In waiting for my husband’s food to come out my plate was getting cold. And to add to that they forgot to bring him his drink! So he took it home since he was basically done eating once he received it. I fear they probably forgot about his dish which I understand if you’re busy but we didn’t even get an apology for the delay.

Overrated and overpriced in my opinion. We ordered the chicken curry, pad thai crispy pork, and Thai fried chicken. The pad thai noodles were rubbery and very hard to chew. The crispy pork was also dry and tough to eat. The Thai fried chicken was okay, it reminded me of Popeyes. If I only considered the pad thai and crispy pork, I would rate this place one star, but I’m giving an extra star because the chicken curry was the only dish that tasted nice.

Yeah I had dinner there with a friend last night and regret it. 1. They don't offer mild curry, others do why not here? 2. They don't offer brown rice, other places do why not here? 3. The customer service was meh, like they could care less that I/we were there. 4. They charged me a 7.50$ service fee on top of my order and tax? Why? They didn't even "serve me." It should say sitting fee, and it should be posted where diners can see it before we get through the entire ordering process. I asked the girl what's this fee and she looked at the ground and couldn't answer, I'm thinking what's going on here? She then said it was to dine in.. I would have walked out then but I had already paid. 5. The food was alright.. it wasn't dynamite, and at the end of the meal I had no idea how to get a box for my order. We figured it out but after all that I'm not spending another dime here.

I wanted to like this place but I ordered Pad Thai and when I got it home and started eating it, I noticed besides chicken it had a little shrimp in it and also little pieces of pork. I wish they would’ve let me known that when I ordered it also, it was very dry.

We Ordered two food items and 1 drink at 6:03pm We didn’t receive my thai ice tea till 6:47pm after we asked numerous times and got ignored and only my husband’s food came out at 6:55pm.I was sitting there till 7:10 and they kept saying it’s coming out soon while the other tables sat down half an hour after us and got their food before me. Absolute worst service, didn’t even offer a refund until i went up and complained. They should only do TO GO because they definitely cannot handle both DINE IN and TO GO!

We spent just under $100 on a meal that had a lot of serious issues… First, they told us to wait for the rice when they served our food, and we politely waited until the meal was cold until we went to the counter and were told there would not be any rice. They overcooked all their batches and there was no rice to serve. No white rice, sticky rice, or fried rice. They served us curry without bowls or spoons. I had to ask three times for spoons. The second time they handed me one spoon and one fork! They were walking around to the table apologizing that they had no spoons. Our meal was already cold and wasn’t tasting great so we weren’t enjoying the shenanigans. Because they had no bowls or rice, we scooped the curry onto our plates, which was a new experience for us. As we scooped the curry from its serving dish, out plopped a soup spoon which had sunk to the bottom of the curry. I was surprised that they lost a spoon in a dish and sent it out anyway. The waitress asked if she could get me a soda, and said “I know, I’m sorry, this is really bad”. I don’t drink soda. I just wanted a hot meal. This meal was surprisingly expensive. They also didn’t stock their condiments. We also asked the food to be made spicy and with the exception of the green curry had no spice … even dishes like pad kee mao which is traditionally cooked with chiles. Not going back!

I waited over an hour for my food despite them telling me it would be out soon. I really wish I got some sort of compensation or refund back. The pad Thai was way too sweet. Really disappointing considering I was looking forward to eating here

I wasn't feeling well right after the food I ate at Miya. My tongue felt numb instantly after eating. It lasted days so went to doctor and found out mercury level was high which was new. I learned toxins like mercury is high in water, air, everwhere for a long time after a major fire in a city. I read a resident can not move back to thrir home because of the toxic level that prohibits their children to live there by legal means. I feel obligated to let othets know of this health issue. No wondet only 2 restaurants were open! Food ingredients were not fresh and everything was just sweet or just spicy. I was disappointed with food, service, and the atmosphere. I had ordered egg rolls, padthai, green curry, and minced chicken. Egg rolls were the only thing that was good. It's not too suitable for a family or a decent sit-down place with full service.

If you want authentic Thai...stay away from this place. Panang (which only offers beef as protein) was a red curry/peanut concoction w/zero coconut milk. Pad Kee Mao was even more disappointing...it barely passed even as a good Pad See Ew. So little zip & flavor in either dish. Listen, as an old school white guy who grew up 5 minutes outside of Thai Town in East Hollywood, I know legit vs. a new age Thai Bistro that puts more thought & love into their design & decor vs. their cooking. Once I saw all the white Millennial clientele, that right there, should have been a dead give-away (after all, they're more into packaging than substance). 9&9 in old Town Pasadena, (which is as basic as it comes) deserves higher praise. 1st time= last time
