Tip: The margaritas are light and freshly mixed, and the salsa is hot and good. Be aware of potential language barriers with the waitstaff and double-check your bill for unexpected charges.

Great authentic experience in downtown Amarillo! The margaritas are light and freshly mixed! The salsa was hot 🥵 but so good! Lots of open seating and fun atmosphere

Love the location, love the building. The food is great and the Miches are fantastic.
Best experience ever, love it her love the food, the drinks. Everyone is welcoming. Love the Tosticeviche no other place in town has it as delicious as they do ♥️
The Molcajete and guacamole was great, the service was excellent and our server was very friendly & sweet … I look forward to my next visit…
When allot of places try to put their own flavor to things, it doesn’t always work out. NOT the case here. This place definitely pits its own flavor to things. But the flavors are smooth and flow across the whole pallet. The food is excellent. The drinks are great as well. Service is good. Everything was great out first time ands we have told EVERYONE how good it is. I would highly recommend. BTW, start out with fresh Chichirones. They won’t disappoint

Dined here last night, the place seems like it was recently opened, and a lot of things weren't perfectly in place. The waiter had some difficulties speaking English, nevertheless he was nice and friendly. The complimentary chips and salasa were very tasty. We ordered shrimp tacos and shrimp quesadillas. Both were good, but not amazing. The taste was flat. Nothing amazing or outstanding. The dishes were nicely served. They had some great options of hot sauces, which I enjoyed, especially La Anita (Green). The prices are reasonable. We paid nearly $30. Note that the portions are slightly small compared to other places in the states.

Extra charge for 5$ without noticing the client. I didn’t want to ask them why due to the language barrier. I couldn’t even get sparkling water because our waitress didn’t understand. She was nice tho but that’s not enough to be a server to earn 20% of the bill. We tip her anyway, but whoever run this place put the wrong person to this job. The food was fine. I ordered ceviche and wondering how is this food end up here. Anyway, it was good, good presentation. Fusion food in a way. Atmosphere is so cold and empty, I didn’t like it very much. For first time wasn’t a horrible experience, but probably won’t come back, sorry.

Mocajete had "sausage" that might had well been bologna or hotdog. Got told we ate all the chips after we had 3 small baskets when ordering salsa and queso after people next to us asked for some and they were told it would be a 5 minute wait for chips. Asked for flour torts for 2 people and got 2 of those after they brought us corn tortillas. Service was slow for everything and they had just opened.

The food is good but the place is very expensive!! We were a table of 4 people and the mesera charged more than 10% tip on each ticket!! She charged us more than 50 dollars for a small table. The drinks were very small and the cost was more than 17.00 dollars per drink. I really don't recommend it for a meeting with friends. It's too expensive. 👎
Finding Hacienda Meche isn’t exactly difficult, but the layout of the strip makes it feel tucked away, and there’s no clear exterior signage beyond small white letters on the glass door. It’s not obvious where to walk in, which sets a slightly confusing first impression. Upon entering, I expected to be greeted and seated, but instead I saw a man in a baseball cap and T-shirt behind the bar chatting closely with three guests. No hostess stand, no signage, no direction. Two other staff members stood at the far end of the bar, simply staring rather than acknowledging us. We ended up seating ourselves. Menus and drinks came quickly, along with chips and salsa. The horchata was fine nothing special and the water tasted normal. The chips, while seemingly homemade and flavorful, were served cold, and the salsa was clearly refrigerated before being brought out, which made the whole starter feel uninviting. Our server was polite enough but lacked warmth or engagement. After ordering, it took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive, and we had to flag down the server for refills and more chips. Unfortunately, parts of the meal were cold particularly the “easier” items while the longer-cooking dishes were hotter. The overall flavor of the food was actually decent, but there were concerning moments: in one quesadilla and in a grilled chicken and rice plate, there was a strange, gristly bite that made both me and another guest gag. That same guest felt sick afterward and was unwell the following morning. The menu doesn’t clearly indicate spice levels, and several dishes were heavier on spice than expected. A few plates were also noticeably greasy. To top things off, gratuity was automatically added to both checks for our party of six which is common but there was no mention of this policy on the menu, in writing, or verbally from the staff. It would’ve been nice to be told beforehand. In short, Hacienda Meche has potential with its flavors, but the service, presentation, and quality control left much to be desired. With better hospitality, attention to temperature, and menu clarity, it could be a solid spot but as it stands, I left more disappointed than satisfied.

Not a place to chill and enjoy yourself. Food was low quality. Burnt chips and salsa wasn't up to my standards. Music too load to talk and I won't return.

Food was cold, service was horrible took 2 1/2 hours to get hour food. Over price shared a plate with my wife and ordered 3 mixed drink and was charged $110
Had birthday dinner there it was horrible. I made reservations for 630 we walked in only 2 other tables were occupied. Once she took our orders for food and drinks she Never followed up to ask if we needed refills or brevages. Each time we had to go to signal her to come wait on on us mind you she was just sitting at the bar talking to bartender. When meals finally came she forgot to put in one of the orders for the table so we waited another 15 min so we could all eat together. Through out the night if we wanted any service we had to call her to come to or table again restaurant had max 4 tables occupied. Once we were ready to go she never brought ticket. She was proudly sitting at the bar coming her hair and talking to bartender. Food was edible but don't recommend. We tipped her well due to she had already deducted out of everyone's ticket. Explains the bad service.
We dropped in to get to-go orders for a private party upstairs. BIG MISTAKE. The manager spent his time stroking his beard for some reason, while trying to change the channel on the video screen; we're talking 15 minutes. We waited over 45 minutes for really awful, overpriced food at a time they weren't that busy (mostly drink orders). Even after being assured it "will be out shortly," it was another 15 minutes. We got up to cancel and get a refund when it finally came out. There are MUCH better restaurants within walking distance, at a much lower price too. Needless to say, we'll never go back. Look for a big FOR LEASE sign in the near future.
Service was a zero food was okay. Service .why ?took for ever to see if we needed a drink . Very disappointing. There was only 2 tables occupied no reason for no follow up on our food and drinks. Wait staff just stood around.
We were really excited to try this place. My wife and I decided to spend our afternoon date here and it was a giant disappointment. When we walked in there were two other tables, so not busy at all. The bartender sat us and it took awhile for the waitress to come take our drink order. I ordered a draft Dos Equis and my wife ordered a sprite. Five minutes later the waitress brought my wife a squirt and myself a bottled dos. We didn’t say anything about this because we didn’t want to come off as picky. We ordered an appetizer, and then told the waitress we were ready to order the main meals. That’s when she just walked off without taking our order. She never came back to the table after that. We waited and waited and she never came. She walked by a few times but ignored us. At this point it was about ten minutes since we ordered. I set a five minute timer on my phone, and it went off I left $5 for my beer and we left, having never seen the waitress again. It was a Sunday afternoon, we were one of three tables, and I still haven’t the slightest idea what was going on. We won’t be trying this place again.
First time and last time unfortunately. The place is beautiful very esthetic. But... the service was horrible. It was a table of 7 and the waitress only brought us one basket of chips and only ONE small salsa for 7 people. We asked for more and she charged us the chips. The prices are ridiculously expensive. For 3 people it was $70 that's that we didn't have alcoholic beverages I had water and ONE tostada. We needed drink refills and she didn't come to get us. Mind you the place was empty we were the only table and our food took a long time and the service sucked and was slow we constantly had to ask for stuff and again we were the only table. So between thr service sucking and the food being outrageously expensive we won't be back. I've never been to a place when it'd a big party and they make us share one basket and one salsa. And being charged for more chips that's just weird. Also there aguas are not natural it's all just the powder kind. For what you pay the portion I'd very small. Food was okay but not worth the price.
First off they did not have half of the food on the menu. So we switch to basic buffalo wings and fries. They brought our 3 orders of wings out and they were not fully cooked. We called the manager showed him and asked them to fully cook them. They took all tree trays back came back 10 minutes later and again they were still not fully cooked. We called the managee and showed him, he walked away fraustrated and annoied with us. We asked for to go boxes because they were not cooked. I will not come back here again. I pray our Son does not get food poisining due to raw chicken. That is not something to be messing with. If i could rate it a zero I would. The only thing goid was the entertainment.
We had a 515 reservation. Followed by a 730 event at the Civic Center. 7 o’clock, we still had no food. The waitress spoke 0 English & was clueless. She brought our drinks more than a half hour after we sat down and never returned to the table after taking our order. We witnessed so many people walk out. Manager was dragging out card tables and chairs for people to sit. This place is a joke, poorly managed and extremely disorganized. The menu is not traditional Mexican fare - no enchiladas?? it is octopus, shrimp and then a rib eye thrown in there. Bizarre mix of foods. Less than 0 stars deserved. Save yourself and do no go.
This place is was a joke. Food was terrible and not fully cooked. Over priced, didn't have half of the menu, everything we asked fir they didn't have. We finally just settled for chicken wings and fries. Wings were raw the 1st, 2nd, and third time we sent them back. Told the manager after the 3rd time and he got mad at us because we called them out. If I could rate them a Zero I would. Will never go again!!
