I love trying new root beers and when I found out about this place I had to try it while driving through. The timing of our trip didn't align with eating but we tried the root beer and it was great. Had a good clean flavor, my only complaint is I usually prefer a little more carbonation. I can't remember her name but the car hop that served us was super friendly and awesome.

This is a place with good customer service and good food. I was riding bikes around Amarillo with a couple of buddies. We decided to stop by and get some food because we were hungry so this young lady helped us out. We were ordering food out of nowhere. I started feeling like I was going to pass out FYI and I did I was passed out for a couple of seconds not that big of a deal but the young lady that helped us out with short hair I forgot her name she offered me a cup of water with ice and told me to sit down and she will get me a rag so I can put it on my neck to cool me off. This is the great customer service that a business should have for bike bicycle riders if you’re seeing this thank you so much again

Wanted something to travel but not fast food chains. This was worth our stop. Car hops come to your window and take your order and deliver the food. Fries were tasty, but it was the flavor-full burger and wonderful root beer that were the big winners! Yum! Thank you!

Our fourth time trying this place and man am I glad we did! It’s made to order, so it’s not the fastest if you’re in a hurry, but it’s timely for being made to order! We love the burgers, fries and hot dogs here! The blonde waitress provides friendly customer service too which also keeps us coming back! We will be returning again and again! Don’t let the older building deter you from trying great food! Thank you KN!

This place is fantastic!!! I came here while visiting Amarillo. Everyone says go try Whataburger if you are ever in Texas. Well I gotta say K-N makes a far better burger and fries but you must get the Texas mug root beer to wash it down !!! Excellent spot and I will miss this place A+ food , root beer and service 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Love this place!! Kendra took care of us and she did a wonderful job. Took time to talk to us and get everything we needed. The root beer float was soooo good!!! Definitely my favorite one ever. And I loved the corn dog!

Amarillo, Texas —- “KN Root Beer” is a “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite MUST visit when in Amarillo drive-in (/drive-up) restaurant. In business since 1968, “KN” makes me glad I found this place. You drive up and a smilin’ server comes to your car/truck, takes your order & delivers it, while you sit comfortably in your warm or air conditioned comfort. Nostalgic window trays are available too. My server “Tessa” remembers me even though I only make it to Amarillo once a year (or longer) as I tour Historic Route 66 from time-to-time. “Tessa” recommended the Root Beer Milk Shake and it was yummy-riffic!!! The “Buy 1 Get 1 FREE” cheese dog with chili, cheese & onions is a tasty-riffic deal too. Thanks for the smiles Tessa! “Run-A-Way Bill” was here! .... and will return 01.26.21

Overpriced for way overcooked mediocre burgers. Munchers not cooked all t he way. Paid for extra lettuce on double cheeseburger. Had the same as the regular cheeseburger. Do your self a favor and drive to Stars. Better food lower price! Glad the owner saved the place but do better!

They charged me a tip almost 12 hours after I left. I marked the order with no tip when they charged me. I even told the lady “I’m sorry I can’t tip atm” and she said it’s ok. Later in the morning a $4 tip was applied. Maybe it wasn’t her and was the business, but it’s illegal to do. Lost my respect and haven’t been back.

Why is it that literally EVERY TIME I call to place a to go order no one EVER answers the phone????!!!!!!! My hubby LOVES Frito pie ,but I'm not sitting there waiting for someone to possibly see me sitting there after 5 plus minutes to acknowledge me and finally take my order when I could have called it in and not wait . So tonight jersey mikes got our business and our $50 for our family instead of y'all . Small businesses need to realize that locals keep them in business,but I'm done at this point .
