If you want some home cooking while out-and-about or on the road, this is the place to go! The people running the spot were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. And the food? My meal was wonderful. Grilled pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, collared greens. Huge portions, great ingredients. Made fresh with care. Absolutely delicious. Plate-lickin' great.

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. We did dine in and I ordered the fried shrimp plate with mashed potatoes and they had greens as a special side that day. The food is so good you eat it before you even breathe. My friend got the fried catfish and said it was beyond good. The prices are really great, too. Staff was friendly and helpful and the place is super fresh. Definitely a must try local spot in Amarillo.

I've eaten here 3 times in 3 days sadly I only have 1 picture though because I've been devouring it without thinking but luckily I got a togo order today and decided to snap a pic. I've had the chicken and waffles 10/10 so good seriously cannot recommend them enough. Catfish (Friday only) 10/10 first time trying sides I got mac and cheese, and okra it was delicious so delicious in fact I ordered Mac and Cheese again the next day. Rib Dinner (Saturday only) 20/10 the best ribs in Amarillo I know everyone has their favorites this is texas after all but these were by far and away the best ribs I've had in Amarillo I also tried the baked beans which were very tasty but the ribs and the homemade BBQ sauce was like died and gone to heaven delicious.

We got there just before the lunch rush, so seating for 6+ was alright. It gets BUSY though, and I can see why. Irene was great, attentive, and helpful in choosing what to order. The food was incredible. All six of us left only crumbs, including the delicious banana pudding. I'd return regularly. Great value, great food, great service.

I've heard about this place for the last 3 years. It did NOT disappoint. I just had a Cheese Burger & Tator tots but, that was the best home cooked burger that I've had in a long long time. No pre-made patties here and that toasted bun...yum. This place has lots of different food. It will not disappoint.

Really nice people and very good food. I have had their fish dinner a few times. It is really good. And the banana pudding is the best I have ever had. They cook things fresh, so it may take a bit for your order. Very much worth the wait. 🙂

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive when pulling up to the place because I thought it was just a convenience store. Don't let that stop you. It would be the worst mistake ever if you're looking for good food. I will definitely be going again and again. I had the Frito pie, which was huge even for a small one. My friends had the wing plate with mashed potatoes baked beans and green beans. So much flavor!

Even as a local I only heard about this place through word of mouth, but once I found it I quickly feel in love with the whole place. The food is great and the portions are large. The employees seemed to be very involved with the shop and to be enjoying what they were doing. If you're looking for another locally owned business to support I can not recommend this place more.

The food was good but you get 4 stars instead of 5 because the menu pricing didn’t match my bill. The online menu says 2 piece fish, fry, and drink $9.99 on Fridays. But my bill came up to $28.12 plus I didn’t get my drinks and when I tried to call and get an explanation no one would answer the phone.
