When I lived in Amsterdam 40 years ago I remembered my family ordering Bottisti's pizza every Friday night so we can eat pizza and watch The Twilight Zone. I live in Oregon now and the pizza here is nothing like Bottisti's.

Being from Amsterdam, this is the only original pizza places left that are family owned and maintained the quality of evey thing they make, especially the pizza! I have traveled the world and there are very few places that even come close to their pizza and the other food served there. Even if your driving thru Amsterdam, shame on you if you don't try their food, especially their pizza!

We had heard from All our neighbors that Bottistis is the place to go .. So we went ..We drove 20 min to get there and placed our order ..Meatball and onion pizza and a Calzone...We were not disappointed 😋 We had to reheat the pie after the 20 min ride home but 3 min in our toaster oven on Fresh Pizza setting was perfect !! Calzone is in fridge but Looks delicious as well Perfectly cooked ...Looking forward to having that later for Lunch .. Thank you Bottisti's You have s new customer

I moved to Plano Texas so I don't get to have their pizza very often. But it is one of my favorite meals. It is usually the first thing I get when I come home to visit. I think that other reviewer sold them short - only 6 out of 5 - they deserve at least a 7 out of 5. Are they a bit gruff on the phone - maybe at times. They're busy. You want them to spend all night talking to you, or do you want them to take your order quick and get back to cooking so your food is ready when you get there. I miss it and wish they would move here so I could have it more often.

Really good food at great prices. We are from out of town and found this place on a web site. I am so glad we did. Be careful ordering the subs, they are huge. I have enough left for lunch tomorrow. Great restaurant.

Grew up in Amsterdam and Bottisti's has always been a staple, one of 3 or 4 classic, family owned restaurants in town. Amsterdam is a small town and we are blessed to have the presence of a phenomenal family owned establishment. Everytime I get back in town, I try and pop into Bottisti's. Given the covid situation, they have stepped up their game for take out and delivery and doing everything they can in this tough time to step up and still be there for people in a safe manor. Anyways, got back in town tonight and the takeout is just spot on. Can't say enough. Ordered the philly steak and cheese with awesome moz and onions and marinara on the side. Asked for the sandwich done with crispy, toasted roll and that's EXACTLY how it arrived which is tough with transporting food. The sandwich was toasted well done and beautiful and THEN.....delivered in a paper boat to ensure it wasn't wrapped and got soggy with the enclosed heat. This joint (and when I use "joint" , it's my favorite expression and I only apply it to those who deserve it;)) is legit and knows what a consumer wants. I come from an Italian family and appreciate their efforts. Along with the beautifully but steak in my sandwich, I ordered wings, medium, which were done crispy and the chicken pure. Thank you Bottisti's for serving Amsterdam for decades. We are lucky to have you. I am a foodie and thus, appreciate authentic food. They have the versatility to deliver beautiful Italian dinners, homemade pizza, sandwiches, and it's all done with the family touch. :)

Very good pizza. Very nice sauce, crispy crust, good toppings. Large portions for a reasonable price. The place was busy when we went so it must be well known. They were not allowing eat in at the time, only take out and delivery.

I have eaten food all over Amsterdam and folks let me tell you this place is a five star for food quality, quantity and cost. Never heard of them until tonight. Ordered a side of meatballs, and sausage, and an eggplant grinder, along with a turkey sub. The sauce and side orders were through the roof good. The eggplant grinder was one of the best I have ever had in my life. How do they make something like that for $5.50. Then, I got the large turkey sub and folks, I am a heavy hitter professional eater and it put me down and was out of this world good. All of the above cost $18 and some change. There are two meatballs, a sausage, and half a sub left. Yes, I did get a side order of cannolis and there were three in the order and now two left. So, for $21 this place rocks. Not only is the food beyond great the price was outstanding! This place is beyond bang for the buck! 66 years and now I know why! And, the service was good. I was a walk-in and 25 min later my order was out the door with me.

A real classic feeling pizzeria. Walked past this location a few times and was always curious how it looked inside, well a couple years since that first time I passed by it and I've finally picked Bottisti's as my Friday dinner and got to see. Ordered over the phone going with a 6-slice Sicilian Style with Mushrooms, Peppers, Onions, Meatballs, and Ricotta cheese. Altogether coming to just over $25, a price you'd expect from a much larger pizza but I loaded on the toppings so this was to be expected. Finally I got to see inside and I was not disappointed. It was like I walked back in time to a far more simpler time, with memories from childhood of classic pizza joints springing up. Italian themed decorations, homely seating area, and a kitchen that was easy to see into. Really liked it, totally want to come back and dine in sometime. But I was here for takeout, so I paid for my pie and was back home. Opening up the box told me I was in for a good time. Nice thick looking pizza crust, my toppings heaping across the pie, cheese and sauce still showing through, and a delightful smell. First bite I was able to get it all in and it rocked, a slight crunch to the crust but not super tough, the sauce was a little sweet but this was good as it countered the more savory cheese, the toppings weighed down each slice adding in the spicy meat, the dry ricotta splotches, and mix of vegetables adding in a ton of body. Delicious. Overall I was not disappointed at all in any aspect of this meal. A reasonable price, friendly service, a real quaint location, and the pie itself nailing everything I wanted.

This pizza is delicious. I ordered a pie with extra cheese, mushrooms, and sausage. Everything tasted fresh and the crust is thin and crisp, not doughy. I would definitely recommend this place for pizza. Can't wait to try other items on the menu. Speaking of menu, it's kind of difficult to find one online. However, if you go to their Facebook, you'll find some information on what they sell there. Also, orders will take approximately 35 to 45 minutes. They're busy at times. I don't blame them, it's that good.

I remember my family getting pizza here 55 yrs ago & It is still a really great place for pizza & we will be going back. I was not sure how to rate the atmosphere because we ate in our car - which does have a nice atmosphere :)

I’ve ordered twice so far and the food has been nothing short of excellent. A late night Small sausage pizza and then a family style spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza was great, fresh and perfect amount of toppings. The sauce for the spag along with the meatballs were excellent and the price is very affordable. Couldn’t be happier both times, and I’m happy to give my business to a working family who appreciate the hard work it takes to put out a quality product on a consistent basis. Will be back.

This is a legitimate traditional family-owned real New York Italian restaurant, not a big chain or franchise. When I first started to try their food, like others, I was put off by the demeanor of the gentleman on the phone as curt and brusque, but not rude. But eventually I learned you aren't talking to some kid paid minimum wage to sound like they are sooo happy and lucky and delighted to talk to you - you're making a business transaction with a professional at their craft who is about to make a delicious handcrafted dinner with their own unique recipe. For awhile I was reluctant to call because of the curt service on the phone and would just order in person, but now we get their food weekly as either take-out or delivery. We've probably eaten their forty times now and you can expect your food in 45 minutes. Speaking of the food, the pizza is the best in the capital region (and yes, I've tried all the pizza places around here) with a thin crispy crust, a delicious savory and well seasoned sauce with a hint of spice, perfect cheese and a delightfully crunchy crust. Other pizza places are also competitive with their pizza, but their wings truly outclass anything else and are crispy as they should be, not soft and mushy like you would get from a large chain; an are served with celery and bleu cheese. They also sell great NY cheesecake, a fantastic chicken parm dinner with pasta that comes with salad and garlic bread or a roll, they make a great philly cheese steak or any other kind of sub and even make a delicious bacon cheeseburger with fries. And since they have gotten to know me as a regular customer, guess what, the "service" has improved as they know that their consistent food and fair prices have made me a loyal customer. A diverse and delicious menu. I think they deliver Thursday through Sunday.

Please dont change a thing with you recipe, grew up in Brooklyn, worked in the pizza business for a while slinging dough and I will say for my taste buds and pizza experience I would say the best pizza in Amsterdam and the area. Thanks for making sauce with flavor, and real cheese. The only thing I recommend is large should be 18" and an 8 cut.

Decent food. People seem nice. Pizza had great sauce and cheese. The crust needs some work.

Over-priced and bland. The only good thing I can say is that they used fresh broccoli florets on my white broccoli pizza (most places use frozen). However the pizza seems to be missing the white garlic sauce because it was otherwise flavorless.

Bottisiti's food is good. Truth be told, I actually really like their baked ziti. The problem is with their service. Essentially, the service sucks. It doesn't matter who answers the phone, they always sound completely annoyed, as if you are bothering them by daring to call and place an order with them (although this isn't just a problem with Bottisiti's, as it seems like most of the pizza places in Amsterdam suffer from this problem). Then, they usually quote you a wait time of 45 mins to an hour (and many times they'll even quote you longer wait times), and sadly, it almost always takes longer then what they've quoted you. I've had to wait 90 mins or more on several occasions, and one time it took over 2 hours. And it doesn't matter if you have it delivered or you pick it up. I've gone in to pick a pizza up, ad had to sit and wait for over 30 mins longer than they told me. Last night I called at 8pm, and told them I would like to place an order for delivery. I was told (rudely) that they stop delivering at 8:30, so I would have to come pick it up. I reminded them that it was only 8pm, and they (rudely) told me they were "all booked up", whatever that means. As a pizza place you have to do two things well- make pizza and deliever it. Ordering a pizza, or some baked ziti, should not be this hard. Not when there's at least a dozen other pizza places to order from. If Bottisti's could improve their customer service skills, I would be happy to recommend them, because as I mentioned, their food is quite good. But, I see lot of other reviews online stating the same complaints- crappy customer service - and apparently the owners don't care. So until they do start caring, I'll be ordering my pizza elsewhere.

Food is good. Their cheesecake is not homemade U received a piece that was frozen and they close early when they feel they're not busy. There posted hours are not reliable, especially at night.

I was a little disappointed. I was 100% drawn to the place due to the picture advertising they do so much of on their websites. Those pizza photos are loaded, and I mean loaded, with toppings. I knew that due to this, the pizza would probably be more expensive, but that was ok because I wanted to try a pizza that actually was generous with their toppings. And like I said, I was disappointed. The taste of the pizza wasn't the issue. It was pretty good. However, the toppings were really no more, no less than most other places around here. Anyway, mine was like that. It was nowhere near close to the photos posted on their website. But it WAS more expensive. Oh well, I tried it. Live and learn. I wish I had taken a photo, but if I order there again, I will do so and post it so people can do their own comparison.

The food is sometimes good but inconsistent. The main issue I have is the customer service, most of the people who answer the phones or the desk are very rude for no reason, and even when I go to pickup it seems to consistently be about 20 minutes late. Save your time and pick up from goodfellas instead

I never ate there but when I was going to they didn't pick the phone and so I went there in person and it was going to take one hour for the pizza to be done and Another hour if they delivery I am assuming they're Pizzas must taste great but I think they're also a little overpriced

The last few times I have called to order I was told “it will about an 1.5 to 2 hours because we have a large Sticker Mule order.” It’s like they are just Sticker Mule’s cafeteria now. It’s unfortunate that the rest of us can’t get service.

I called to place a pizza, wings, and 2 appetizer orders tonight. I asked for a small gravy fries and asked if they would put mozzarella cheese on them. The woman who answered said they don’t do that let me ask. She came back to the line and said no. I said can’t you just charge me for some cheese? She said if we do that for you we have to do that for everyone else. Ok and is that a problem? Ummmm you’re a restaurant and trying to make money and you can’t accommodate a request for cheese? I just hung up! So for $0.75 you lost a whole $40+ order! Silly!

You must be desperate to call this place. One call, late, delivery would be late. Finally spoke to driver (snotty girl). Claimed to have called numerous times. I had one message while driving. She went on to other deliveries! Could not get through to store. Probably use Tracfones!

I placed an order for pick up. When I went there to get my order at the time they said it would be ready, but it wasn't even in the oven yet. Matter of fact they didn't even make it until I got there. It's sad when they tell you over the phone it'll be ready in an hour then you get there and have to wait another 20 minutes because they haven't even started the order. I've never had a bland pizza like this either. Overall very bad food and service. This was my 1st and last time coming here.
