El Taquero Guzman is a popular spot for authentic Mexican food, especially tacos with handmade tortillas. Customers rave about the flavor and friendly service. Some find the parking difficult and the $2 taco deal not worth the upgrade to homemade tortillas.

This combo isn't even on the menu but they plated it exactly how I asked for it. Always quality ingredients. Some of the best tortillas I've ever had and the birria is so damn good! I couldn't even resist taking a bite before I took the pic. If you're looking for a good meal in Santa Ana this is the place to get it.
Birria tacos were delicious. Warm chips with guacamole dip was also delicious. Great cook, great service👍
This place is legit good. Authentic delicious fresh food. Feels like family recipes poured into handmade tortillas. It's quaint and cozy and makes you feel like you're at home. I would definitely come back.
Best taco I’ve ever had. Incredible handmade tortillas. Delicious torta.
The lady taking my order was so helpful! A very very good taco spot! Hand made tortillas I felt like I could eat 10!! Highly recommend. I got 2 carne asada and two Al pastor and both very good!!
Always get damn good burritos from here, people always rave about the menudo too so ill probably try that next. Worth a visit. Staff is the best
Delicious authentic Mexican food. They were very fast with my family’s order which was appreciated. My whole family enjoyed our food. We will be back for sure!
This place is so good. I had a little bit of everything and it all tasted great. It's a small little restaurant but comfy. The staff is amazing. Super friendly, and knowledgeable of their menu. Made great recommendations. The food came out quickly and service was 10 stars. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.
came for a breakfast burrito. pretty legit and the eggs were more legit than I expected, but I kind of like the scrambled eggs texts more, anyway, got the shrimp tacos that was hecho de mano tortilla and classic tortilla and the pineapple habanero was ultimate, it was incredibly good. could eat that all day. spicy and sweet, pretty legit spot
Classic hidden gem in Santa Ana , very clean and very pleasing. The Tacos are amazing and the taco plate is even better. Delicious salsas for the liking of everyone. One of my favorite places to get a bite of traditional Mexican food. I recommend the Asada Taco Plate. Small location but they know how to treat guest!
Me and my family came and had lunch and it’s the best authentic Mexican food we have had in a while!! They even let us bring our dog on the patio for lunch! They allowed us to specially customize our son’s meal and he’s a picky little guy. Such a wonderful atmosphere and experience, we loved it so much and will be back!!!
I was really surprised the tacos were pretty good! Only because I haven't seen $2 tacos in 2025. They were a tad smaller than small. But lots of flavor, the quality of meat is decent. All the sides were packed nicely for togo and fresh even the sauces was freshly made. Sauce : - green sauce is not spicy but smells like jalapenos. -red not too spicy, has a smokey smell Both asada and El pastor were very good. And I got a side of $3 fries, it's the think chunky fries. A little saggy in the bag but I'm sure it's fine if you eat it there, I got it togo. Overall id come back nice quick lunch or dinner. It's a very small restaurant on the corner of the neighborhood. Small parking lot and a few tables inside.
I've been looking at this place for a while. They have Taco Tuesday for $8.99, not a bad price for a quality plate. Ordered the Carne, Pastor, and Pollo (Beef, Pork, and Chicken... Gringo) these came with so much cilantro and onion, it was great! The carne had a great char to it, the pastor was cook just right, and the pollo had great flavor. Another good place with an amazing menu that you have to come back for more! And that's the plan..... P.S. Clean inside and out. Parking isn't the best. I think eight stalls in total and one is for handicap parking.
During 2020 we tried visiting multiple times and it just wasn't happening for us. It wasn't until 2021 that the stars aligned and we got the chance to try one of the top listed taco shops in Orange County. We tried the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and the Birria tacos (quesabirria) with consomé. Surprisingly we loved the Birria tacos here the most. The consomé flavor was on point legit, however the amount of fat on top was excessive. It's definitely worth it, however you might spend some time skimming it.
I enjoy supporting mom & pop places, esp. local taquerias. I kinda got baited by the promise of $2 tacos, but caved in to the homemade tortilla upgrade. The tortillas were ok but just slightly thicker than your standard corn tortilla used for street tacos. But I can't say it was worth 2x the cost at $4-5 each. I would have much preferred to just buy another street taco with the $2 extra. Plate was nice with all the fixings, plus radish & cucumber slices. But with a water bottle, my $2 taco venture came out to be almost the same as a 3 taco plate with rice & beans elsewhere. I'm still hungry... the biggest criticism is that though the meats were very well marinated, cooked, tender & juicy...both tacos were extremely salty. Idk if it's cos I haven't had a taqueria taco in almost 4 months & forgot how salty they can be,or if this spot just happens to over season the meats. Left feeling disappointed & not full. I'll keep searching for other local OC spots. But when I drove past a few taco trucks with lines 10 deep, & pulled into a nearly empty lot & only 1 other customer, I should have trusted my gut & tried the taco truck instead. At least the homemade salsas were nice & flavorful.
This place was ok! The restaurant is small but homey feeling. The tacos were ok, I asked for verde and got rojo but it was still pretty good. al pastor was ok, not a ton of flavor. The carnitas was really dry and I didn’t finish the taco. Over all it was pretty ok. My friend got the enchilada, sope, taco combo and he said his was good. Agua fresca was super yummy! Parking was really weird but the staff was really friendly!
Food 5 stars. The tortillas are freshly made, sopes are my favorite. Excellent quality. Parking: 1 star. Horrific. We were there 30 minutes and saw two people park in the handicap spot with their hazards on. One parked diagonally and the other parked in the handicap loading zone... parking is extremely limited, I would park around the corner instead of entering the lot. There's only one entrance and it's crazy.... Facility: 1 star. Also extremely cramped. Inside the restaurant it's incredibly crowded and cramped to say the least... but hey the food is great!
Visited today for their “taco Tuesday” special who is 3 small tacos for $8 and also got the asada nachos for $13 and their large horchata for $5. The tacos had good flavor, their nachos were ehh, they use the “nacho cheese” with a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top. They were okay but while eating them we found a hair so we stopped eating them. Maybe in the future I’d give them another try but not anytime soon.
