It was a great place for dinner with a nice atmosphere. We were seated at the bar, and while the service wasn’t perfect, it was decent overall. However, it was quite noisy because of conversations around us, so it was hard to hear each other at times. The food was delicious. That said, the dish that started with “kimchi” left us a bit confused — we honestly couldn’t tell where the kimchi was. Overall, it’s still a good spot for a date!
Spectacular evening. The food was amazing. Beet & citrus salad is to die for. Lobster risotto was awesome. Spaghetti carbonara could be a little less salty but otherwise very tasty. The best dessert I have eaten in a long time: deconstructed cheesecake. This place is a gem.
Totally delicious food and an absolutely beautiful space. Eugene was a wonderful server, and we enjoyed every component of our dinner. We got the pork belly, sourdough, mushrooms, butternut squash ravioli, and chicken schnitzel. Everything was so so so good. I will definitely return next time. I am in the area.
Poppy and Seed is exceptional. My family and I are currently evacuated due to the fires in Los Angeles County, and we decided to visit after a close friend had highly recommended it for quite some time. While I never imagined visiting under these circumstances, I’m so glad we did. The location is ideal, and the evening ambiance is perfect—cozy vibes with music, a fire pit, and outdoor heaters. It truly sets the mood. The menu is thoughtfully curated to appeal to all your senses. From the gorgeous presentation and enticing aromas to the flavors bursting in every bite, every dish is a masterpiece. You won’t need to add anything—no aioli, no spices—just pure, bold flavor. The service is outstanding, with detailed recommendations and seamless attention throughout the meal. Our server, Nolan, made sure we were well taken care of and added to the experience with his warmth and enthusiasm. Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night, a family dinner, or a business meet-up, Poppy and Seed is the perfect spot. And don’t leave without trying the French press and the espresso bread pudding—it’s the ideal finish to a phenomenal meal. Highly recommend!
We had the chef’s tasting menu and were completely satisfied with the deliciously tasting dishes. The rich flavors, varied textures and well-though out presentations are all we were expecting—fantastic—and a job well-done. The atmosphere of the artistic green house and outside green area are beautiful as well and their serving staff is friendly and out-going. This place is a must for those passing through Anaheim!
I challenge you to find a tastier place in Anaheim. There’s something on this menu for everyone, no matter how picky the eater, and you can count on Poppy & Seed to make sure whatever you order comes through with balanced flavors and delightful preparation. For those who prefer NA options, you won’t find a better menu of mocktails, NA wine, and beyond. Blew my mind.
From the moment we walked into Poppy & Seed, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning — a modern greenhouse-style space with warm lighting, beautiful decor, and a lively yet intimate vibe. We opted for the tasting menu, and it was hands-down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Every course was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The pacing was perfect — each dish arrived with just enough time to savor and anticipate the next. The cocktails were equally impressive, perfectly balanced and creative, pairing wonderfully with the food. Service was exceptional — friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling rushed. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers on every front — ambiance, service, creativity, and flavor — but Poppy & Seed absolutely nails it. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want an unforgettable night out, this place is a must-visit in Anaheim. Highly recommend the tasting menu — it’s the best way to truly experience the chef’s talent.
Great place to hangout with friends or for date. The bar tender Chris was cool - he prepared good non alcoholic drink. The eggplant toast was amazing. Would like to revisit again.
Absolutely great option for lovely evening. Gorgeous location with super friendly staff and very creative tasty food. Sourdough bread was awesome with three sides of carrots, eggplant and honey butter, highly recommended for appetizer. King salmon was also great and fresh.

think we’ve just found our new favourite dining spot in all of Orange County. We sat outside by the fire, surrounded by the garden where they grow their own produce — it’s like the food is already telling you a story before it hits your plate. We kicked things off with a few starters on the waiter’s recommendation — the stuffed squash flowers, olives, and fresh bread. And let me tell you: those squash flowers? Outrageous. Delicate, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavour. That’s the kind of dish that makes you sit back, take a breath, and say “Yep. These folks know what they’re doing.” Now the mains — my wife had the lobster risotto and honestly? It’s probably the best risotto I’ve tasted in years. Creamy, rich, perfectly balanced — you could taste the sea without drowning in it. Just magic. I went for the breaded half chicken and… holy hell — it was a masterclass in how to do schnitzel. Golden, crisp coating, the chicken still juicy, and that sauce? Stop it. That sauce brought it all together like a proper hug on a plate. I didn’t finish it — not because I didn’t want to, but because I want to relive it tomorrow. And the cocktail — the Picosita tequila number — that was a little firecracker in a glass. Spicy, citrusy, and totally refreshing. Like a holiday for your palate. If you haven’t been to Poppy & Seed yet — you’re missing out. This isn’t just a meal, it’s a moment. 10/10. I’ll be back. Probably next weekend.

We had a great experience with the staff here. Our server was friendly, stayed attentive the whole time, and had a fun, personable attitude. She joked with us and really helped set the vibe. We came for weekend brunch and didn’t have to wait long for a table. We were seated inside the greenhouse. It wasn’t too hot, and the morning lighting made for some great photos. The food was decent and pretty much what you’d expect from a brunch spot. I usually go for the burger at places like this and it was alright, no complaints here. The hash browns were good, kind of like mashed potato bricks. My friends also mentioned they liked the hot sauce.
Service is amazing! You'll have multiple people come by to check on you, take dirty dishes, adjust the umbrella so you're always shaded. I got the chilaquiles and an aperol spritz. Food and drinks tasted great and came out quickly. Super cute vibe and patio! Prices are fair for the quality service and atmosphere.
Great ingredients, attention to detail. They source most of their greens from their own gardes next to the restaurant. Crudo 5/5 - Harmony within the ingredients is pretty good. Fresh aromas overwhelm your palate in a good way. Crispy greens are a delicacy with the texture, i loved it. Octopus 5/5 - Bean ragu and black garlic puress fits quite well to the octopus. Well cooked, right texture. Chile oil also helps with the overall aromatics of the plate. You would want to not waste anything in this plate, don't forget to use a piece of bread for the remaining sauce on the plate. Grilled Branzino 5/5 - My only complaint is that if they can get the skin crispy as well, it would have been great. Otherwise again a great plate with a lot of greenery and freshness. Fennels, capers, lemon veloute sauce, all amazing.
Really wonderful experience. We had a large party. We were sested outside and it was a bit too cold for one of our guests. Staff couldn't have been kinder or more professional. Moved us inside. The drinks, starters, entrees and desserts exceeded our expectations. Very well run establishment. Next time we're here on business, this will be one of our stops. Great job to their team.

cute farm to table place, lots of garden vibes. bartender was great. be aware: you have to order apps, entrees, dessert in one shot (or at least that's what our server told us...and we were 1 of 2 tables in there on a Friday at 6pm). decent experience but not sure I'd return if I was a local.
I made a reservation for 2 on OpenTable for a Sunday at 10am. They have a small parking lot that was already almost full by the time we arrived. The restaurant has a beautiful glass greenhouse though we were actually led to a table in their back patio. I ordered the smoked salmon and tomato eggs Benedict and my friend ordered the short rib hash. My dish was quite good, and I especially liked that they used a biscuit rather than the typical English muffin.
We came here for brunch and the ambiance and service were amazing. The drinks did not miss. The cocktails and coffee are 10/10. My waffle was also very good. The hash brick I ordered was too hard to really eat (the server got me fries instead no problem). It’s a great spot to grab a drink.

Great service and nice outdoor location. Food was good but not aligned to the price point. Starters of burrata and zucchini blossoms were good, blossoms were a little greasy. Burrata was dominated by deep fried chips. Main choices were salmon, lamb shank and pork chop. All cooked perfectly. Ended with the deconstructed cheese cake
Poppy and Seeds in Anaheim is a beautiful restaurant with a lot going for it, especially when it comes to food and ambience. The space is thoughtfully designed, warm, and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal or special outing. The ambience truly stands out and sets a positive tone for the dining experience. The food itself was delicious—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Every dish we tried met expectations and reflected the creativity of the kitchen. However, the front-of-house experience left room for improvement. Even on a weekday, despite having a reservation, we had to wait more than 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged or assisted us at the entrance. This initial delay created an unnecessary sense of confusion and a less-than-ideal first impression. Management should pay closer attention to this aspect, as it significantly affects how customers perceive the business. Having a dedicated staff member available at the front gate during all business hours is both normal and essential in the restaurant industry. Overall, Poppy and Seeds has excellent food and an amazing atmosphere, but improving customer assistance at the entrance would elevate the experience and better match the high quality offered inside.

*would give 3.5 if i could FOOD portion sizes are very small. carbonara was very salty and the marshmallow chocolate dessert (18 USD) was also very small. ENVIRONMENT nice outside seating. decor is very nice especially inside seating. parking was very hard to find though. i also didnt particularly like how seats were on gravel. there are fire heaters for outside seating and sun umbrellas as well SERVICE a bit slow. waited for half an hour for the food and took only about 5-10 minutes to finish the food. dessert was also served super slow. it took 30 minutes for the dessert to come out but looks like a very simple dish. it may be because they wanted to serve all the dishes at once

I want to begin by saying that I have never left a review. I have worked in the restaurant industry my entire working life and so I understand how things can happen sometimes. But I felt compelled to write this after my son's experience at your restaurant on Valentine's Day. My 21-year-old son wanted to do something special for his girlfriend, so he made a reservation at your restaurant for 8:30 pm. He pre-paid for the fixed courses and wine pairing special. The problem is that they were not seated until 10:15. I can only speculate that you all overbooked, but this seems wildly excessive, particularly for such a respected establishment. I was surprised that they waited, but they were repeatedly assured that it shouldn't be too much longer. By the time they were seated, the whole experience was rushed because it was so late. His girlfriend needed to get up early for work, so they left before the dessert course. They did like the bartender, who got a round of cocktails comped for them while they waited. My son did say the food was delicious. Unfortunately, I wonder if the fact they are so young played a part in why they had to wait so long, even though the meal and gratuity were already paid. I just wanted to register my disappointment for them, as a mom who knows how much money my son spent. Thanks for reading.
I came for the Valentine tasting menu. The food was decent. The service was terrible. We had to wait 15 between courses. We were seat 90 minutes and were served 3 courses out of 7. It is going to take 4 hours just for dinner. Don’t be greedy and book so many diners. This restaurant should not be mentioned by Micheline giude at all.
This was quite a disappointing experience. I decided to start a journey my journey to trying all the Michelin restaurants and unfortunately my first stop was regrettable. I thought 2 hours would be ample time to dine but I soon found that this restaurant is on their time and could carless about your own. I chose an early enough time prior to the dinner rush. So note future attendees, go very early to secure parking. The valet was consistently full which I was informed is a norm. When we arrived, the restaurant was barely bustling. We chose outdoor dining only had one group at that time. We ordered drinks, took some time to review the menu, and put the appetizer and entree order in at one time to expedite time. My guest had the scallops and I ordered the lamb three ways. Simple right? Wrong. This is where everything went wrong, the service. We then proceeded to wait almost an hour for our appetizer, a simple tartare. The tartare was tasty but typical. After that it was an extensive amount of time before receiving our meal. In between SEVERAL wait staff, not our actual waitress stopped by in confusion as to where our order was and all responded the same, "they would look into." We were 45 minutes into our entree wait time before one of the waitresses brought the manager who apologized and said they would look into it. I informed him that I would need to leave in the next 30 minutes for another event and he said he could bring everything in time so we could enjoy the meal and leave. 45 minutes later our meal was brought out. Unfortunately, I was only able to taste the meal then request to box the food because we needed to leave. The lamb dish was delicious, but was it worth almost a 2 hour wait? Absolutely not. The manager did come out to reimburse our drinks. Honestly, it was a nice gesture, but it was more disappointing to go home and have to rewarm a dish. If you don't have 3 or more hours of availability, I do not recommend this restaurant.

I brought a group of coworkers here for a business dinner on a Wednesday night. While the reservation process was smooth, the experience went downhill quickly after we were seated. The Good: Once the food and drinks actually arrived, they were excellent. The kitchen clearly knows what they are doing, and one of my colleagues mentioned it was one of the best cocktails he’d ever had. The Bad: Parking is difficult if you don't use valet. But the real issue was the service. After the hostess seated us and gave us water, we were completely ignored for over 30 minutes. No server approached the table. We flagged the hostess at the 15-minute mark, but nothing changed. It got to the point where my VP had to physically get up, find staff in the back, and tell them directly, "We are hungry. We are thirsty. If no one serves us, we are leaving." It took another 5 minutes after that for someone to finally take our order. The Verdict: I had colleagues who traveled internationally to be here, and frankly, I was mortified. For a restaurant at this price point, ignoring a table for half an hour is unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was no attempt to comp anything or apologize meaningfully for the delay. Despite the great food, I wouldn't risk bringing a business group here again.
