I liked the not so little chicken sandwich but the star of the show was the choco smash candy bar. I don't even like dark chocolate but supposedly it's good for your health. I couldn't finish it so I saved the rest for later. 10/10 👏🏾

This is one of our favorite places for breakfast. There’s not a lot on the menu, but that’s OK. What they do have is awesome. I saw a lot of people getting the pretzel that’s bigger than your head.. - and I want next time - but we got the calculated breakfast and French toast and shared. The focaccia bread with a calculated breakfast is delicious. The tater tots have a seasoning on them. I don’t know if it’s onion powder or a ranch seasoning and they are so good. And I love the syrup that comes with the French toast that has a blueberry flavor.. plus it’s awesome that you can get turkey bacon and they have a Coke freestyle machine. This place can get super busy as all places here so good to order ahead. Overall Yum!

1. The chicken sandwich at this spot is simple yet clever! The latte was well-crafted! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior and exterior are spacious! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! They take our finished trays for us! Note: This spot does mobile ordering! Photo: Blueberry Matcha Iced Latte and Not So Little Chicken Sandwich

It's a gimmick restaurant themed to Ant-Man, where the portions are a mad mixture of extremely large and extremely tiny, and the drinks are served in science beakers. It's no more expensive than any other Disney quick service but the food is tasty, the drinks are surprisingly strong, and you get to watch the Avengers Campus's periodic shows while you eat. Maybe this kind of thing isn't for everyone, but it was definitely for me. UPDATE: While I stand by the food and alcoholic beverages, I tried the Asgardian Apple cold brew and it was absolutely disgusting. I expected it to taste more like cider but the cold foam topping actually taste like green apple jolly rancher which was overly sweet and didn't mix well with the coffee at all flavorwise.

We got the Not so little chicken sandwich and my son said it’s the best thing he’s eaten in the parks. Potato bites were delicious and crispy. I got the taco salad and I loved the spice and flavor but the tortilla was too greasy for me but that wasn’t a big deal. The giant pretzel was perfect and soft, feeds a crowd. The giant candy bar was really the perfect finish to our delicious experience. I was surprised the reviews weren’t better here and almost didn’t come because of it. Don’t miss out on this good food!!!!

Stopped for breakfast August 23, 2025. The gentleman working the till to order was AWFUL. He didn't look up, he mumbled and had zero personality. He only perked up enough to yell at the 3 of us to line up at order pickup line 4.. lol OK did we know that beforehand? Was it one of the things you mumbled? Service went downhill from there. The serving staff worked in slow motion. Food sat there for 5 minutes and they all just were stuck in "buffering" mode . Ordered the French Toast with syrup and bluberry bursting pearls. It was very tasty. Came with a few strips of bacon that was good as expected for instant bacon. Would recommend this meal but hope for better service. Location is great, ambiance..duh it's awesome you are in DCA..even though I despise Marvel stuff lol. My favorite thing about this dining location is the soda machine allows you to get cold water dispenced. Handy knowledge to fill water bottles!

Wish there was indoor dining! Food was standard. I thought there would be more chicken on the salad! Flavors were good. Not so little chicken sandwich was underwhelming!

A witty take on oversized and shrunk food items. The pretzel was big enough for 7 to share as an apperizer. The Not So Little Chicken Sandwich was delicious. The prefect crispy outside and tender meat inside.

The drinks here were so good! I got the R&D which was essentially a creamy espresso martini and it was so good, I’m already waiting to go back. The cereal infused milk foam on top was to die for.

The food here was surprisingly astonishing. I had the best drink i’ve ever had in my life (the X-periment) and the chicken sandwich was delicious and filling. Disney has really upped their game with their newer food items (at least in California Adventure)! I used to not like eating much at the parks but it’s such a delicious experience now. Also when I went (6/23), the Avengers campus was now open for anyone to walk into or through. Mobile ordering system takes a little getting used to but it was very convenient. I’m definitely coming back ASAP!

Great experience with funky-sized food. I recommend the chicken sandwich and the pretzel, but stay away from the impossible pasta, it is a ball of mush. Tater tots are the best!

Pym Test Kitchen is a must experience when visiting DCA. Definitely go inside to order because that itself is an experience. The service super friendly, fast, & fun to watch. The Impossible Spoonful, plant based meatball is delicious. The pasta that comes with, ok. Still a must try. The Compound Crustacean was amazing. Our favorite item this trip.

One of the few best places to get quality food for a good price at Disneyland Resort. We got the PB Superb Sandwich and Elote Pretzel and loved every bite!

J

One of the best meals we have had in the park. We had so much fun and to have the ant man movies tie into the food was a treat in itself. We had the giant pretzel, the boba drink that was a science experiment and the chicken fried steak sandwich which was huge but on a super small bun. So you have to experience this place, I would go again next time we are in the park.

Great spot for lunch during your park visit. This large pretzel was amazing!! It was flavorful and soft with an tasty beer cheese dip. The chicken sandwich was one of the better chicken sandwiches I’ve had in quite some time.

C

We didn't have anything to eat this time - I just wanted to swing by to get the new Milky Fizz drink in the cute sipper. I wasn't to sure about the Milky Fizz after reading the description - a desert pear flavored soda water with cream. Well you know what?! It was real tasty! And that's coming from someone who doesn't drink soda. The combination of the soda water and cream really complimented each other - kind of like how orange and cream go together in a 50/50 bar! I would definitely order that again! I had really wanted to order one of their Quantum Pretzels, which are so delish and it would have gone well with my drink, but we were planning to have dinner at Disneyland, so I passed on the pretzel. But I'm definitely getting one next time we're there!

A great quick service breakfast at Disney California Adventure. The French toast was tasty, especially the blueberry syrup. Good portion size too.

R

I really enjoyed our meal at the Pym kitchen, however, there is one little problem. All of the portion sizes seem either too big or too small for a normal size adult. I really love the Panini, it was delicious with the red sauce.

P

Prompt service. Castmembers good as usual. Plant based eggs and meat were passable. If I did not know these were plant based products, I would not have known otherwise. It was the only breakfast option open at the time we visited after opening.

We stopped in to Pym Test Kitchen for a quick snack in between lunch and dinner during our time at the Adventure Park and loved all the fun on-theme foods and beverages. We got a Impossible Spoonful which comes with pasta, an impossible meatball, and plant based cheese. I was super impressed to see such a yummy vegan option on the menu. My partner also got a sandwich an drink and it we had a really pleasant time eating on the patio. It was fun hearing all the avengers sounds around us.

*This is a review for Pym Tasting Lab, which doesn’t have a Google page. If you're a fan of Ant-Man, or in need of an adult beverage in Disney California Adventure, check out Pym Tasting Lab! With ongoing classics and seasonal changes, there's something for everyone - not just cocktails and beer, but there's a mocktail and mini pretzels and spicy cheese sauce on the menu too! They are located next to Pym Test Kitchen and diagonally across from Guardians of the Galaxy, in the Avengers Campus. I recommend mobile ordering so you don't have to wait in line to order, and can bypass the line when ready. Staff is very friendly and once your number is ready, so is your drink! For ambiance: this is an open bar that follows the lab aesthetic that Pym Test Kitchen follows, and all of their seating is shared. Adults can grab a drink while their kids enjoy a meal. I tried the newish Blue Hawaiian ($18.00) - triple sec, pineapple, toasted coconut, pineapple juice with edible glitter. 8/10 It is not too sweet. If you like tasting your alcohol and you enjoy a mildly tropical flavor of pineapple and coconut, this is for you! I enjoyed it but would be excited to try something else on the menu. Honey Buzz is one I've tried before that I would have again. I am a fan of beer but not of the beer cocktails. All in all a convenient location to try a themed drink!

Favorite place to dine at California Adventure. I love that it is right next to the avenger campus with all the fun characters. Captain Marvel will watch you eat an atomic pretzel. The pretzel is huge, but you can easily break it down into pocket pretzel snacks for the rest of your day. The sandwiches were good and I love me some good tots. The entire display of the food was excellent.

Vibe 5* Good 5* Service 5* This place is definitely one of DCAs best places to eat. A lot of good food. Their not so little chicken sandwich is the best entree on the menu. Meatball was ok. Pasta was great though. I'll be sure to try the pretzel everyone is raving about next time.

One of our favorite spots in ca adventure. The kids breakfasts are good even if they do turkey bacon. The adult breakfasts thankfully come with normal bacon. The soda machines are the Coca Cola machines with customizable flavors for coke, sprite and much more options than the typical fountain drinks elsewhere. For dinner, the taco salad and chicken sandwich are safe. The kids like the grilled cheese and pasta kids meals which come with yogurt and popping boba.

B

Not so little chicken: Get! Thoroughly surprised by this. The chicken was nicely crispy. The sauce added such a bright twist to what could have been a dry piece of chicken. The tater tots were seasoned well and very fluffy. Beer Mimosa: Get Never thought about this combo but a pale ale with OJ was great. It cuts the bitterness of the beer and adds a nice refreshing twist to it. Although, now there's less beer and still very expensive, it's a fun combo that represents this restaurant very well. The courtyard area is nicely shaded with lots and lots of tables big and small. You should be able to find seating even during the busy times but it does get pretty packed. Food: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Value: 8/10

Absolutely loved the cheese sauce for the pretzel and the chicken burger. The pasta was alright. I will be forever dreaming of the cheese sauce. I think it was beer flavored? More seating available across the street

Plant-based Nachos! We definitely enjoy grabbing lunch from this restaurant. We ordered their Not so Little Chicken Sandwich, Neutron Nachos, and Reactor Melt. Very happy that Disney offers solid plant-based options. The nachos were delicious. The blue corn tortillas are a creative touch. We also enjoyed the Reactor Melt. The pesto spread elevates this grilled cheese sandwich. The tater tots that accompany it were crunchy. We also got the Not so Little Chicken Sandwich which was a good choice as well but we preferred the chicken sandwich from Lucky Fortune Cookery. The location is in an entertaining area of California Adventure. Lots happening all around from character meet ups, attraction rides, shopping, restrooms, and character performances as well. And if you need an alcoholic beverage, you can get one at Pym’s Testing Lab. Definitely recommend using the mobile option to place your order.

Good place for a quick lunch but theming could have been so much better. We did the pasta and the reactor melt sandwich. Both were good but the sandwich was definitely pretty standard. The taco salad seemed to be the better option. The choco smash was delicious and perfect for sharing.

S
Shane Dooley

My family has eaten here a few times. Use the app to order. It makes it much easier. Finding a table can sometimes prove challenging. We like the not so little chicken sandwich. We also have had the humongous taco salad, which is more like a taco served in a fried flour tortilla. It was good, but not as good as the chicken sandwich. The choco smash bar was big enough for us to share.

S
Stephen Coad

Something different, As the pictures all describe they are still working portion sizes, but unfortunately are failing all their testing 😉 Out of proportion meals is exactly what we came for but the size was perfect feed. Also we watched a family of 3 order 3 pretzels, I think they could only eat 1 they are that large. Also at time of posting items were reasonably priced

I went to the bar side and the wait wasn’t too long. I went on a Thursday the day before a major holiday and it was a great. I loved their X drink and espresso martini. Their mini pretzel snack was delicious. Overall it was a nice stop over for adult drinks and some food. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

Choco Smash: tastes like a homemade Snickers. I really like Snickers candy bars and this tastes like a much better version. This thing is also hefty, definitely shareable. Pretzel: Massive! 4 people could share this soft, warm pretzel.

H
Henry Gonzales

Got the Not so little Chicken sandwich, red gamma gulp, giant candy bar. The chicken sandwich was very flavorful and crunchy. Something to note with the chicken sandwich is that the bread is small, which makes the chicken bigger than it appears in the image. The red gamma gulp was alright. It tasted good, but it's got some strange thickness to it. The candy bar was very good.

G
G Quiñones

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a real laboratory. the food is good. I recommend the chicken sandwich. The plant base pasta is not the most delicious but the meatballs are. chocolate bar is what any chocoholic would want. The tables are outdoor, but since the temperature is cool, it doesn't matter to sit outside. The service, as always, is excellent. Definitely recommend it..

T
The Baseline

The Baseline: For a sit down Dining experience establishment the food flavors must represent the theme of the environment, there must be unique offerings to the restaurant based on the theme, and the experience must be immersive to the theme park experience. Food: The food at Pym’s Test Kitchen is fun and themed. Size portions are distorted and really brings out the theme that Hank Pym’s life’s work has used his Pym Particles to enhance my dining experience. Way to go Antman! The food is okay in taste (except for the Humongous Taco Salad which is awesome). The Reactor Melt was good and tater tots will never be bad. The Beer Mimosa was surprisingly really good. The Mystic Taro Mocha is not on my top sweet drinks (looking at you Galaxy’s Edge Black Caf). The Neutron Nachos would be great with real meat but vegetarians need to eat and impossible taco meat provides them the best fake meat alternative. Honestly Impossible Meat really works into the theme of this restaurant. Overall my main critique is that Pym’s Test Kitchen needs to bring back the Deadpool and Wolverine Chimichanga. Bring back the Chimichanga, Disney. Bring… it… back! Service: The service is quick and efficient and the cast members are always friendly. Compliment you cast member on the Disneyland App please. Ambiance: It is big and small themed and science is king at Pym’s Test Kitchen. One of the best themed fast casual eating establishments in the park. Very clean environment and extremely safe. Final Critique: Bring back the Deadpool and Wolverine Chimichanga. Bring back the Chimichanga, Disney. Bring… it… back!!!!!!! Bring it back and I will 5-star my review. Please bring it back!

The burger was decent — the chicken breast was tasty and a good size, but the bun was quite small. The fries were very good. The service was excellent; the staff was very friendly and attentive.

After checking the app, it seems like I can pick up order in 40 mins, so I send my family to the seating area hunting for seats. Unfortunly, waste too much time on mobile order either the payment information will not pop out or the continue button won't work finishing the credit card process. Then I found out there is a standby line. Duh! Lesson leaned. Next time I will stay in the standby line and place the order to see which one's faster. Line moved smoothly less than 15-20 mins reached cashier, placed the order , till my turn to pick them up... We had Pym-ini sandwich, and PB3 superb sandwich. After I have seen everyone else with their panini sandwich walked away I'm kind of regret what I ordered. It should call Pym-mini. Later I can see my sandwich sitting on the kitchen counter but not the candied bacon one, they came back and tell me it's going to be little longer on the other one...Anyway 10 mins, got both, and walked to our seats. PB3 turns out Superb even though I would never try it with those combination at home. Now, I might. Those candied bacon are amazing , potato bites are moist inside, crispy outside, and a shot of banana smoothie. Cute, totally worth it to wait. Yes, you could have extra sides for those two items with extra money. Pym-mini is not as good, soft on the bottom from waiting, salty...But the sauce came with , you could use it as a dip for potato bites. Maybe just my luck. But then again, if you have a family of 8, the Pym-ini family size is a great deal for $99.99, you get 8 of those sandwiches and salad. Too bad they don't have family sized patoto bites and candied bacons. That will be Superb Sides. Generally speaking the place is clean constantly there are people wiping the table before you use it. Pay attention to the indoor details if you get a chance it's fun to look at it.

You’re in the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure and you’ve just seen Ant-Man stride by. It’s lunchtime, too, so there’s only one real option after that encounter: Pym Test Kitchen. Sure, it’s pure novelty and the food is being produced on an industrial scale (the Not So Little Chicken, which a very not so little price, and the Pym-ini were in our hands in a quantum second, which was a little disconcerting). The chicken was better than what you might get on the plane. It was made better by the slaw, for sure. My wife said her sandwich was fine (if you’re a married man, you know just how violently loaded the word ‘fine’ can be…). They have Coke Freestyle machines which made for sweet relief with Coke Zero. Service was friendly and it’s great fun to be eating on the Avengers Campus.

A
April Lizaso

Awesome theming but the food I tried was just ok. The meatballs on the Impossible Spoonful were satisfying and the tiny fork is adorable! Unfortunately, the pasta sauce was a little bland and could have used more salt and/or spices. It also wasn't that warm to start and got cold fast. I prefer buttery pretzels so the Quantum Pretzel seemed dry, the beer ruined the cheese sauce for me, and the mustard was too potent.

S
Shania Prieto

Wow! The presentation of the food was amazing, however the pasta was really dry and the colossal crouton was very misleading, it's just a toasted piece of bread, and you have to cut the salad yourself. The food was okay, but you could see the entertainment while you were eating which is why I gave it 4 stars, instead of 3.

D
Daniel Sherer

Just around the corner from the the Spider-Man stunt show you can stop in for some over-sized snacks, like a giant pretzel (enough for 4 people!). Soft drinks are also available, with alcohol served in the bar outside. No table service, but tables to sit and rest.

E
Erik Senekham

The food here is good, but the portions you get for what you pay are not great. Definitely a place to try out, but not a restaurant to go to if you’re starving. Below is a picture of the Pym-ini Sandwich, but we also ordered the Impossible™️ Spoonful (rigatoni with plant-based meat-balls). Great food with plenty of healthy choices to choose from at a decent price!

We got the pretzel and the cheese was really tasty! $14 was quite a bit though, $20 total including a drink.

B

The food here is a little bit better than most of the other places in the parks. We had the chicken sandwich and it was on point! Crunchy and flavorful. They have the coke freestyle pop fountain here so you can customize your beverages to your liking. My only complaint is seating is limited. You will need to literally stalk a table before you get your food, otherwise you can expect to wait or find a random place to crash and eat on a bench or something. Also, not enough umbrellas. They could have just extended the awning /roof over the seating but they did not. Tables are cleared promptly by the staff and wiped clean.

In this trip we focused on attractions, so to save time we went for quick service while taking breaks between rides, stopped by here while on Avengers Campus. Shared the Atomic Pretzel (Salmon Poke Pretzel). The taste was pretty good. However, I had imagined that it would be marinated raw salmon since the dish name is "poke" but it was more like smoked salmon. It was a bit too salty on a salty pretzel, though it might have been better if I had had a drink with it. Interesting decor with the Ant-Man/Hank Pym theme. Service was fast and courteous. Overall I'd say it's a fun place. Next time, I want to try one of their specialty drinks.

L
Lisa Smith

The location had out door heaters which was super awesome in the pouring rain. The not so little chicken sandwich was good and spicy with lots of flavor. The tator tots where crispy crunchy and full of garlic flavors. The green soda was interesting but not bad. Check it out. Tator tots are a must try.

One of my favorite restaurant at Disney. Offers comfort food with a twist. Every item we ordered hit the mark. Rest of the places at Disney offered movie theater food except for pym. The pym sandwich was my favorite. The sauce they used was out of this world.

I really loved the Pepper Particle Pasta, especially with the chimichurri on top. I also tried the Not-So-Little Chicken Sandwich, but the chicken was unfortunately overdone and practically impossible to eat. Cast Members are super friendly, and service is excellent at this location.

This is a quick stop food option in California Adventure Park. I didn't have to wait long for my food, and the place was interesting to look around. The food, however, was just ok. I got the grilled cheese with pesto. It wasn't nearly as flavorful as I was hoping, and the tomatoes were hard and not ripe at all.

D
David Cho

Tried the Not so little Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was big enough to share if you're not too hungry and service was fast and friendly, if you can get in. Trying to schedule time to eat so far in advance is the challenge. We had so many snacks to hold us over, we weren't really that hungry but wanted to try something when our reserved time was up. Food was tasty enough. Chicken and tots were crispy and had surprisingly good flavor on the breading. Wish I had the appetite for the pretzel, which looked amazing. Will have to wait for the next trip.

v_becks

I really enjoyed their take on the Caesar salad, and their breakfast, especially the tater tots is good. They have their breakfast platter with a gluten free option that my sister with celiacs really enjoyed also. There is lots of seating and service is quick and friendly. I didn’t enjoy the giant chocolate bar.

M
Michael Bailey

It’s an okay food option for California Adventure. The pretzel and dipping sauce is good. Not a lot of food options , but it’s good for a quick bite.

J
Jeffrey Lum

Food was good. We got the tater tots, pb3, meatball, family size panini and the pretzel (we had 12 of us). Most everything tasted decent...nothing spectacular about it. The PB3 was ok...good more for kids or if you love PB&J. Meatball was good. The family size panini i could've done without. The price for how many you get...well its probably better to soend that on other items and share around

T

A lot of seating available and definitely easy with mobile ordering. This sandwich was pretty filling and the sauce a nice flavor to it. Tater tots are always a plus. Good dish.

K
Kevin Drost

Very interesting concept here. They make the food seem like it’s either larger than it’s supposed to be or smaller. I got the Pym-ini Sandwich and the not so little chicken sandwich. The Pym-ini Sandwich was an ok Ruben sandwich nothing really special. The star dish here is the not so little chicken sandwich, it looks really cool with a tiny bun and a large chicken patty. The sauce is the true star on this dish made it remarkable.

Z
Zachary Ruiz

The giant pretzel was great! Definitely worth the cost, it's huge and the beer sauce is tasty. The "mini" chicken sandwich is also good - ours was a touch dry on the edges but the flavors were good. The punch was also very tasty. Mobile ordering in the morning is the way to go for lunch - made it easy to walk right in at lunchtime and pick up food. The restaurant's theme is unbeatable, sitting right across from an area where you can see shows every once in a while with the Avengers.

J
Jen Led

Decent options here and one of the only places serving breakfast before 9am in the park.

R
Rachel Barnard

Eating at Pym’s Test Kitchen while watching the Avengers show outside was honestly one of the highlights of being at the park. I ordered the Pym-ini chicken sandwich, and while the portion was decent, the real fun was the theme—oversized buns, tiny pretzel bites, and food that looks like it’s been hit with a Pym Particle. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, not too greasy, and surprisingly satisfying for quick service. Sitting outside made it even better. We sat at the barstools just outside the shade and waited for the show to start. It turned the meal into an experience. The background music, energy from the crowd, and that classic Disney immersion made this way more than just lunch—it felt like I was eating in the middle of a movie set. Pro tip: Sit near the main Avengers HQ building if you want a good view of the show while you eat. Food-wise, it's a bit pricey (theme park standards), but the creativity and atmosphere make it worth it.

The not so little chicken sandwich is basically a chicken cutlet, its not huge, but the dinner roll sized bun makes it look bigger than it is. Two of us ordered it and one of us got the sauce and I didn't they are still getting all the restaurants up to speed after the reopening. The tater tots were fine and the chicken itself was good. The Bavarian pretzel is pretty standard fare you can get anywhere like a movie theater, it was hot, tender and came with a cheddar cheese sauce that didn't have any bite of its own. A beer cheese or spicy mustard would have been better pairing. If you want mustard you'll have to get some of the yellow stuff at the condiment stand. The choco smash is like a big snickers bar with a brownie base, there is a lot of it, get a knife, share it with friends.

We are passholders and have tried most spots in both parks. We usual go to our favorite spots, but decided to try Pym test kitchen for the first time. The food is pretty good, there's nice shaded outdoor seating, and the service was great. I don't know that we'd have lunch here again, but the cake was amazing (but super rich - I recommend sharing!).

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Portion to Price: 3/5 Overall: Pretty standard fare. The extended review... Food: Pork Belly Grilled Cheese : 3/5 - So this was a Lunar New Year special. I felt like the ratio of cheese to meat was off. It was more meat so the grill cheese feel wasn't there. I should be happy that I'm getting more meat for once but I wasn't cause it felt more like a meat sandwich as opposed to a grilled cheese. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Mobile ordered! Ambiance: 3/5 - Good outdoor seating area. Portion to Price: 3/5 - Pricing was standard fair for park food.

The food was nothing spectacular, we chose to go here for the entertainment that came with the food. My son enjoyed watching the pretzel grow and shrink above him when we were ordering the food and also enjoyed the show he was able to catch outside in the seating area. We got the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich, Humongous Taco Salad, Pepper Particle Pasta & Bite-Sized Grilled Cheese. The chicken sandwich was dry as the cutlet was super thin & over cooked, The taco salad had a very flimsy outer shell which made it very flaky & hard to use as a scoop for the toppings. The pasta was not bad but you can really taste the pepper in it and the grilled cheese had no issues with my son. Not a bad spot for the entertainment but would not recommend over other options

Pym Test Kitchen has some of the coolest Ant-Man themed décor in Avengers Campus, with oversized soda cans, ketchup bottles, and a playful queue that makes the wait feel a little less painful. We waited about 30 minutes around 11am on a Saturday, which wasn’t too bad, but the food didn’t live up to the look. The “shrunk” eggs were adorable, but everything tasted bland and my whole family agreed it was disappointing. If you are really hungry and happen to be near Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s fine in a pinch, just be sure to mobile order so you don’t waste more time waiting.

In general, my experience was positive. The restaurant has an interesting and entertaining theme, where the food portions are either unusually large or small. The bar offers a diverse selection of beverages. However, the food quality was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the Pepper Particle Pasta, which was initially enjoyable but became excessively oily and caused stomach discomfort. The Humongous Taco Salad was substantial in size, but the salad lacked flavor, and the protein and shell were bland. The Impossible Spoonful was satisfactory, featuring a basil marinara sauce flavor. The meatball was adequate but not exceptional.

Very misleading on the chicken sandwich, they make it look like it's huge with a large piece of chicken. As soon as you get it you realize it's a tiny bun, with maybe a slightly larger piece of chicken. Not worth the $16 price. It does taste good though!

Had the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich--the chicken was just okay and could have used more seasoning, or maybe have a spicy option. The coleslaw added some needed texture, and the bun was nicely toasted. The tots were crispy and could make Napoleon Dynamite envious. If you order a drink, refills are free.

Fun atmosphere and fun menu. Fun take on food items with large and small items mixed together. Enjoyed the flavor combinations. Food is not as good as the atmosphere.

The chicken sandwich is decent but it’s more frustrating that the bun is so dang small. I suppose if you’re going for low carb, then sure, but it’s sort of like ok, we get it, the chicken is supposed to look huge, now give me a real bun. The bun was dry, which was disappointing. The tater tots are nice and crispy but way over salted. The pymini sandwich was nothing special. The choco-smash bar is big but only good if you’re a peanut butter lover.

There is not much seating available. So it's best that there are people that can hold a table for you while you go in and order food and you switch places. I've never had impossible meat before, it was definitely a different flavor and probably requires an acquired taste. The yogurt absolutely had no flavor. The proton punch was very good!

Incredible place, the decoration is amazing, of course it's Disney. The service is not very good but it is understood by so many people, they do not have a great menu but the level of detail in each dish and drink is formidable, only that the amount of food in their dishes is very small.

Pretty decent food for the kids. However, the food itself is just ok. I would only eat here if you needed a rest and wanted somewhere under the shade. Lots of better options round the park.

Counter service restaurant at Disney’s California Adventure Park. Themed after the Marvel Comic Avengers- Ant Man and the Wasp. Known for the giant sized meals especially the pretzels!! Theming isn’t much to brag about but it is located inside the Avengers campus. You may get lucky and catch a show just across from it featuring many of the Marvel super heroes if you time it right. Food is average at best.

We had breakfast here at Pyms. It was great but nothing super spectacular. I had the Calculated Breakfast. It has 2 style eggs, bacon, potato bites, and Focaccia Toast. The portions need improvement. My wife opted to buy a Shawarma from outside the restaurant. For our beverage, I had The Proton Punch and she had a Diet Coke. I ended up getting one as well. I always hold Disney to a much higher standard. If this were a restaurant outside the park I would have given 4 stars instead of 3.

They used to have a Pymini Italian sandwich with marinara dipping sauce and an impossible meat giant meatball. They got rid of both and added a mozz/tomato/basil grilled cheese and a taco salad (with a giant taco shell). The impossible meat is now used as nachos. Everything is now average at best and $16 for a dry over fried chicken sandwich is less than ideal. We used to look forward to coming to this one, we will bring our own food instead.

The theming in this quick service restaurant at California Adventure is really cute. Waiting in line for counter service you will see a conveyor belt of pretzels on the ceiling being turning in to jumbo or teeny tiny sized snacks. This kept the kids entertained for sure. The food was just ok. My daughter got the kids PB&J which she didn’t really care for- her favorite thing was the yogurt with boba on top. The chicken sandwich (small bun with big chicken patty) was very…hard. The chicken was tough to chew. Anyways, if you get a seat outside you can catch glimpses of the avengers shows which is cool. Seating is limited during busy times so be prepared to have people hover over your table waiting for you to finish.

This is a fun little area for a treat in California Adventure. We didn’t have to wait at all, and the choices were pretty good. The pretzel is quite large and I would recommend getting extra sauce; there just isn’t enough in the first cup they give you.

The huge Quantum Pretzel (and how it's "made") is the star of the show. It's big enough for 2-3 people, and really the only thing I'd go for again. The Choco-Smash was good and super rich. I got the Calculated Breakfast which was...edible. All-in-all, it was fine.

Our breakfast here was ok. Nothing spectacular, but the food was decent and interesting. The tiny eggs are super cute. It's really a novelty breakfast, I wouldn't expect 5 star dining. The Pym toast was more like bread pudding than a french toast. As others have mentioned in their reviews, our food was also cold by the time we got it. There was plenty of seating when we went around 9am. The line inside to order was also short. The pretzel conveyor belt running across the front of the line to order that turns the regular size pretzels into giant pretzels is cute and my younger one thought it was pretty cool. The ambience while eating was nice. Avengers music playing. My youngest loved the drink with the pipette, he thought it was really cool. For me the best thing I got from there was the Butter Pecan Cold Brew, it's probably seasonal. It was great!

Seating is at a premium here, but it's Disneyland. There's not much of a place to sit at the restaurant, so you will need to venture outside and find yourself a seat. Food was actually not bad at all, considered it was almost a fast food joint and the volume they had to serve. I had the Humoungous Taco and it was delicious, just what I needed. Just be careful of the people taking your order. They seem to try charging more when you're not looking I ordered a medium drink and he charged me for a large drink. When I questioned it, he just laughed it off and blamed it on a long day, but didn't try to rectify it..😡

We had the not so chicken little and the reactor melt and the chocolate smash chocolate bar. About $15 each for the meals and freaking 8 bucks for the candy bar. That was my biggest issue. The price for what you get. The chicken sandwich looks huge in the pictures. It looks like a large piece of fried chicken on a bun. What it actually is is a normal size piece of chicken on a roll.... My wife and I were like talk about false advertising.... The melt was fine. Not amazing not horrible. What really annoyed us was the amount of tater tots we got. For freaking $15 we should have received a mini mountain of them. Not so, it was not very many. Also it looked like other people actually got a good amount and that made us even more annoyed. The Choco smash bar thing is really good for insanely expensive. It was almost 9 bucks... Crazy... Disney, your greed is showing and it'd be great if you'd stop it.

W
Wade Convay

Tater tots were good, chicken sandwich was ok, but the bun was stale and the children's PB&J was inedible - bread was dusty and the peanut butter and jam were watery. Interesting story and potential but the food is unfortunate.

J
Jacqueline Mak

The features inside were fun and staff were polite and efficient. The food did not deliver. My friend got the Pym-ini Sandwich and the portions were laughably tiny and the flavors were mediocre. I got the Not So Little Chicken Sandwich and the buns were tiny so the thin fried chicken cutlet in the middle looked big. The buns were also stale/dried out from being heated too much. The tater tots were fine. The Flying Embers(hard kombucha) was fine. Probably would not eat here again. Would maybe try some drinks in the bar area.

S
Stephanie Anne

We got a "not so little chicken sandwich". It was under entrée, so I thought it was bigger. It should have been under appetizers. It's literally a regular sized chicken patty with slider buns. It tasted great, but I wouldn't count it as an entrée. See comparison to the tater tots. If you are there for the experience, I recommend going here for your avengers fans and for play. If you're going here to eat, I don't recommend it.

I saw my order on the counter but wasn’t sure if the order was mine. The worker refused to clarify my order and demanded the phone from my disabled friend, who couldn’t stand near the counter. Fast food places outside the park treat me better. The food quality is good for theme parks. The chicken sandwich was huge and quite tasty after dealing with a broken ride. The pretzel was also good but I ate it plain. Leftovers are expected even if you share the food. Other than that, it is an interesting place to visit.

H
Hazel Diuri-Lee

Surprisingly disappointing. I'm normally impressed by Disneyland food, but this was a very under whelming experience. The giant pretzel was really dry and the beer cheese tasted like it was made from the cheapest of beers. The not so little chicken sandwich was okay... Until you got to the bun, which was hard and stale. The PB2 also had really stale bread. The flavor was ok, but the bread was hard and unpleasant. The panini was decent, but boring l nothing super special. The michelada (not pictured) was very weak. It was more mi than it was chelada. (More tomato juice than beer). Overall, a very underwhelming experience.

the food is actually quite abysmal. the special pizza for OBB was good to my boyfriend, however, i found it to be carb heavy and i don't like mushrooms or olives, so it was not the dish for me. it's my fault because i have an intolerance to tomatoes, but the impossible meatball pasta ended up coming back up later. not a great experience. it had an odd odor to it, as well. we found the witch of westbrew cold brew very enjoyable, quite sweet, but i usually don't like coffee, so it is a high compliment from me. the breakfast was lackluster, but i enjoyed the toast, bacon, and tots were well seasoned. plenty of seating is available outside, with shade as well. the staff is very attentive and this is one of the cleanest areas to eat in all of DCA.

R
Richard Todd

Salad - generally made up of more than just lettuce, and often not the thick, inedible end of a lettuce. Bit of dried bread doesn't make croutons... it's just dry bread. Utter rip off and only half of what was served is edible. Add to that warm, flat soda after kids constantly played with the drinks dispenser and it's 1 star all day long.

S
Sylvia Loya

Was looking forward to this place since the opening of the Avengers. Ordered the sandwich and the PBJ for the kids. Very disappointed with the food. Kids meals were just ok. The sandwich was horrible couldn’t even finish it it was so dry. Would never eat here again. Don’t recommend the sandwich.

We heard so many great things about this restaurant in DCA Avenger’s Campus that we wanted to try it for ourselves. We are so disappointed. We spent $24.00 on a meal with gross salad and one small sandwich. The Cast Members were really rude while taking our order. It was worth a try, but we will not return to this restaurant.

Pym Test Kitchen 1/5 Food: 1/5 Service and Setting: 1/5 Value: 1/5 To say that I am speechless would be an understatement. While Pym Test Kitchen looks the part, the food is awful. AWFUL omg. This meal almost ruined my whole trip haha. The only plus that I can give it is that it has a readily available water bottle filling station. Employees are nice, it’s clean, but the food. Please do not come here. Mini Pasta and Impossible™ Meat-balls: 1/5 This meal comes with a drink, pasta, almond yogurt with popping boba, and a tangerine. The only edible thing is the tangerine. The pasta was overcooked and the meatballs were mushy. They do not let you customize this in any way so I was given vegan parmesan cheese. I thought that regular parmesan was bad but vegan parmesan is something else. It tasted like a sweaty armpit went sour and the texture was of waxy sawdust. I am sorry vegans, but this ain’t it. The yogurt was very odd as well and tasted almost like it had gone bad. Very sour and had notes of something rotting. The popping boba was nice, but not nice enough to save it. Run, run for your lives! Water: 4/5 It is odd to review water, but this water dispenser in the soda machine was the day’s MVP. The water itself came out cold and tasted better than tap for sure. Be aware though that it has a distinct chlorinated initial and aftertaste. The security guards will let you come in to refill without waiting!

This was the most disappointing dining experience we’ve had at a Disney park. Over $70 for a cold and unseasoned piece of chicken on a tiny bun, a bland panini with the saddest side salad I’ve ever seen, and a giant pretzel. We even sprung for an extra side of tots and slaw-a mistake. The pretzel was actually super good but the two cheese cups were cold and crusted over. For how busy this restaurant was one would expect decent fresh food, but it was clear this was under hot holding for a long time. We couldn’t even eat moat of our food and left frustrated at the cost for such a poor experience. There’s so many great spots at California Adventure- skip Pym and grab something delicious instead.

The lady who helped was beyond rude and was not sober. Her name is Brenda. She has no respect for guests and was very unpleasant. She gave me the wrong order and complained when I tried to help her out. Every time I have come to Disney, I have been treated amazing and I feel like part of the attitude working here should be pretty positive. Again, customer service should be Disneys #1 objective. Please make sure your management can re-train so she can have conversations with customers. She should not be out on the floor again until then.

We will definitely avoid this spot in the future. The wait is VERY long. And after waiting for 30+ minutes they made us stand there while they switched over to the lunch menu. However, they were serving mobile orders the lunch items. So the switch over had clearly already happened. We had to wait for 10-15 minutes until they were ready to take lunch orders. We got the pretzel and it is mid. A decent pretzel and huge size. But not worth the insane wait and frustration.

V
Vany Setyo

Food tasted bad. Ordered the not so little chicken sandwich which was supposedly popular and the chicken was overfried and tough. Ordered proton punch too and meatballs. Meatball pasta tasted bland and the overpriced proton punch is just ordinary. Very expensive but portion and food quality not justified. Seats are scarce too so if you come alone it's better to take away your food. Queue is also very long and so if you are very hungry better to dash off to another place.

N
Nick Ennis

Novelty rubbish in my opinion. Style over substance but most importantly, all the food was stone cold. We went for breakfast & they had pre plated servings of each dish you could see out behind the counter. The kitchen itself is well air conditioned, so this of course cools the food very quickly. Consequently your meal turns up cold, every time. It looks pretty & a novelty food item but not enough thought has gone in to the service & flavours. We had 1 calculated breakfast, which was cold, & had hard stale bread, dried out scrambled egg, tater tots, a cute tiny bite sized egg, a few bacon rashers, plus a randon orange segment, which had dried out. Bacon was tasty, but cold. We also had a Cinna Pym toast & a kids meal, both were also cold. The Cinna Pym toast was thick, stodgy & difficult to eat. The kids breakfast for some reason only comes with Turkey bacon, when the adult meal comes with pork bacon. Nothing novelty or interesting about the kids meal, just poor. Overall pretty bad. I mentioned all this to one of the cast members in Pyms Kitchen, he said he would feed it back but offered nothing by way of redress. Very poor, Disney. Avoid!

No volveremos.
