If you like a unique and an adorable restaurant this is the place. I haven’t seen a place like this one. The food, amazing, lots of flavor and great portions. The lady was super sweet and had amazing customer service. Clean establishment as well. We want to return for their weekend crepes!!
If you've been to Thailand and feel like you haven't been able to find an American based Thai restaurant that makes Thailand Thai food, this is your place. Have not seen Khao soi anywhere else (it's a northern Thailand/Laos halal dish). Have been happy with every dish I've tried. Also, it's super cute inside. You have to go up to pay, don't expect the check to come to the table.
Every time we came to town, we always stop at this place for food!! 🥰 They’ve the place feel like I am in Thailand And taste make me not miss a lot of Thai food. Very good service, some time took them so long because a lot of order 😭 I have been wait for an hour but it worth it
Their food is delicious. I'd recommend to go though because it's always COLD inside the restaurant and the chairs are super hard-which is why I gave the atmosphere a 4 star not 5.
As Thai living in Alaska for several month, this place always make me feel like home with their unique atmosphere with Thai elements and decoration, I would say "This is SO THAI." I tried some Thai restaurant around here, but would say that this place is the only authentic one that I've found so far. And the businessowner is native Thai and I will always support my people! For Pad Kra Pao they use Thai holy basil which is really expensive here especially in Alaska, so I would say that even though it's a bit more expensive than other Pad Kra Pao in town, but it's worth the money I pay. The noodles is always in a big portion, I never get used to it. I've been there several times and would go back again once I feel like I've been away from my home back in Thailand for too long. Recently they have special menu: Hoy Tod which is one of the most famous street food among Thai. รักโซไทย ✨❣️
This Thai restaurant is the real deal 100% Thai-owned and operated, so you can trust the flavors are as authentic and spicy as back home. Every dish brings back memories of Thailand, especially the beef Pad Kra Pao it seriously hits the spot and makes me feel like I’m back in Bangkok. Yes the prices might be a bit on the higher side, but the quality, taste, and experience are absolutely worth it. If you’re craving real Thai food that actually tastes like home, this is the place. Highly recommended
Delicious Thai food at Spenard / Fireweed. It was busy but not packed with a stream of regulars. A first timers to So Thai we got what was recommended by the waitress - Pad Thai and Kuay Tiew Num Kon (a creamy Tom Yum soup). We had the Roti Waan (flaky bread with condensed milk) for dessert. And of course we drank some delicious Thai Tea. I'm almost forgot, we had Moo Dad Daew (porky jerky with dipping sauce) for an appetizer. Everything was yummy. Portions were perfect - not too big or small. 10/10 recommend.
One of the best Thai food we have had and we have had it all around the globe! The drunken noodles were authentic. Pad kree maw and the northern noodles were just out of norm good!! We highly recommend to anyone in town for a good Thai food!!
So Thai is incredible and worth a visit if you’re in Anchorage! Everything we ate was delicious. The menu offered a lot of your typical Thai dishes plus more regional specials, the atmosphere was trendy and charming, and the family running the store was super sweet and attentive. We love Thai food, and this place easily compares with the best places we’ve been to.
I always try the pad Thai when I try a new restaurant that has it. If they make it good I will go back. It was very yummy but the portion size is small for thr price you pay. But still very good and yummy good. We also have the spring rolls and moo dad Daewoo for and appetizer.. great,, friendly and responsive staff. Able to answer questions about the food and give suggestion for what you are looking for. It's worth going for good authentic Thai food. I Gabe it 4 starts instead of 5 due to the potion size. Don't get me wrong it still a good amount. Just small for what you get at other restaurants for the same price. So goenjoy and have an amazing time and experience. :)
My recent experience at this Thai restaurant left me with a mixed impression. On the plus side, the food was delicious, and the location was just right, with ample shared parking space. The pricing was quite reasonable and comparable to other places. However, I must admit that the service was a bit sluggish. It took well over 30 minutes for our plates to make it to the table. Despite the slow service, I do appreciate the delicious food, convenient location, and reasonable pricing that the restaurant offers. I would return.
I ordered online and feel like I got ripped off. Of course DoorDash has no real recourse for shitty food or service, so I figured I'd take the time to share here. I ordered the green curry and fried wontons. The curry was fine, but the wontons were a joke. $12 for fried wonton wrappers. There was an almost imperceptible amount of meat in them (see attached pictures). These could pass as a vegetarian food item. The description is misleading and they are not worth the money. Had I been reading in house, these would CD been sent back and I would not have payed for them. There are a lot of other Thai restaurants here in Anchorage and I have had far better experiences with their food.
