Went here on Monday night for the All You Can Eat Wings. The food was delicious and cooked just the way we asked for it. Our waiter Kelsey was outstanding and saw that all of our needs were taken care of in a timely manner.
The food is always solid & the service is good. It’s a little cold in there so bring a jacket. Other than that definitely try it. Lots of food whether you want to eat healthy or not. They clearly label things related to potential allergies as well which is always appreciated by us.
Came for the bingo, stayed for the service and food! Good soup, wings, Brats! The servers are always great, knowledgeable and kind. Jayden is amazing!!
Gator's Dockside: A Feast of Flavors and Fantastic Service My first visit to Gator's Dockside was nothing short of spectacular, leaving me eagerly anticipating my next dining experience there. The standout elements of my meal included the delectable gator bites, the hearty gator chili, and the irresistible chicken wings, complemented by their signature sauces. Adding to this culinary delight was the outstanding service provided by my server, Nevaeh. Gator Bites: A Unique Delicacy The gator bites at Gator's Dockside are an adventurous treat that I highly recommend. Perfectly cooked to a tender and juicy finish, these bites offered a delightful crunch with every bite. The seasoning was spot-on, striking a harmonious balance between spicy and savory. They served as an excellent appetizer, setting the stage for the feast to come. Gator Chili: A Hearty, Flavor-Packed Dish The gator chili was a revelation. Rich and robust, this dish was a comforting bowl of warmth that packed a punch. The gator meat was tender, blending seamlessly with the flavorful tomato base and the mix of spices. Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, making it clear that this is a must-try for anyone visiting Gator's Dockside. Chicken Wings: Sauce Heaven The chicken wings, offered with both the Scooter Sauce and the Gold and Bold Sauce, were simply outstanding. The Scooter Sauce, with its unique blend of tangy and spicy notes, was a perfect match for the crispy, succulent wings. Meanwhile, the Gold and Bold Sauce provided a rich, bold flavor with a hint of sweetness that left my taste buds dancing. Each wing was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender meat inside. Exceptional Service by Nevaeh Nevaeh, our server, truly elevated our dining experience. Her warm and welcoming demeanor, combined with her attentiveness and knowledge of the menu, made my visit even more enjoyable. She ensured that my drink was always topped up and that I had everything I needed, all with a friendly smile. Her impeccable service added a personal touch that made my meal memorable. Final Thoughts Gator's Dockside offers a dining experience that is both unique and thoroughly enjoyable. From the adventurous gator bites to the hearty gator chili and the mouthwatering chicken wings with exceptional sauces, every dish was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor. Coupled with Nevaeh's outstanding customer service, it’s clear why Gator's Dockside is a standout choice for a fantastic meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful and unforgettable dining experience.
My Son won the Gator!! And everyone was shock and excited! Cooks and wait staff said they tried to get for 6 months haha. It made the night fun.
Stopped in for dinner after a long day at Mt Dora's Blueberry Festival and soo glad we did . Always a good experience here at this Gators but today's service was exceptional our server was oddly the main Bartender aswell but she was handling double duty like a champ and with an amazing attitude aswell. Her recommendations were on point and we all had delicious dishes. We all shared a Gators Chilli which had Gator, Shrimp and Sausage in it (amazing) I had their Philly Cheese Steak which was superb with a side of tater tots (always a hit) and the ladies one had the Pot Roast dinner and the other had the rack of ribs that she said were fall off the bone delicious with fried onion petals and tots. Absolute home run across the board . Service , food , atmosphere and never waited or wanted for a thing. Ty for a great dinner ...

Went on a Monday for bottomless wings and man those wings were good! I recommend the Carolina Gold sauce! 👌 Chefs Kiss! And the service was super nice. Wanted to celebrate my birthday with people I love and they enjoyed the food as well. Anthony was our server and he was awesome! Sweet, quick, and funny. 😁 Totally recommend.
Me and my fiancé came in to eat at the bar during a slammed football season night, the playoffs. She was working by herself with a crowded bar. Regardless, she was so good with service that my fiance and I stayed, there definitely should be more staffing behind the bar, but because of JENNA, we had a wonderful experience and will always come back as long as she is working! Thank you Jenna!

What a great night out!! The wings were excellent! And the overall atmosphere was fun, fun, fun, It was musical bingo night. I will definitely be returning with friends very soon .

food and service is always very good! I love the wings and salads! I've had a smash burger that was pretty good as well!
Good & varied menu. Excellent wings & chili. Great service w/nice atmosphere. Huge restaurant; never have to wait for a table.

prices are way out of line especially wings. Over $8.00 for five wings. Flyers on Colonial gives you 10 wings curly fries and drink for $9.39. Gator taters $9.99. And they cut rewards in half since…

My day could have been better, but, I was on a very tight schedule because I dont drive and I depend on public transportation. But the handicapped bus that came for me broke on site and it put me way behind while I put my scooter away and hobbled around with my cane rather than the smooth mobility of my scooter. I was doing business right next door to Gators and since it was close I hobbled over for lunch since I was running late for my follow up appointmentfrom my fall. I sat outside since it was so nice out and not so far to walk, but no one would come help me. So I went inside and the bar tender said that I needed to make myself visible from the inside or come get someone!?! I was at a table!?? Hmmm... he could have said nothing, rather than blame game! I thought I was in NYC! So I ordered gator taters 6.49 a smash burger 11.99, and jalapeños maybe 7 small slices 1.29.My order clocked in at 12:26.The tators were fine and the chips with the burger were good (homemade). The burger however was severely overcooked and the one bite I took was mostly grisle! Chewed like a rubberband! Am I wrong? The bun, tomatoes, the red onions... all great! Freash! But if the burger and the bacon are terrible, it shoots the whole meal to the pits right?!. I was craving a nice juicy burger! I am sure I have had one at Gators before!?! Well I was trying to move through the rest of my day which was not making a recovery, but the weather was nice so I thanked God for that! And there was no way to catch up on time. By the time I got home around 6pm. Hungry and very tired. I was suffering the consequences of not having my mobility scooter or a substantial lunch. And no breakfast. I just walked the dogs (on my scooter) and went to bed. Plus it was dinnertime at Gators why bother now? So should I be obliged to explain all this? I think not! But when I called Gators the next day around 4pm, the person who answered the phone automatically blamed me for the late notice of a bad lunch and said (not so nicely!) that she doubted anything could be done and she would get her manager. So when Bill the manager took the call he played the same very unfriendly game of blaming my late notice whatever the outcome may be. But he was to busy at that time to deal with my issue and he would call me back on Monday. I am not cheap and not after a free meal. I paid 21.15 for my meal and tipped 4.00 at lunch! And that was without a drink. Actually I called instead of a review since my entire family has been in the hospitality business for generations and it was really sort of a courtesy call. As I felt very strongly that I would want to know if food that bad went out of my kitchen. If not for Gators my day would have been $25.00 cheaper and I wouldn't have felt as insignificant as I did after my visit. And as remiss as after my call the next day. After all it was all my fault! My fault no one saw me sitting outside...Yada yada yada!

Delicious wings. My favorite are the honey garlic grilled. Service was great. Spencer provided guidance and was very attentive.

Service and food were both subpar. Could not get a condiment from waitress and shrimp were cold.

Food is below average. Had boneless wings (8 count) which looked like mini chicken nuggets. The sauce did not cover the whole wings and they were pretty dry. Onion petals were good but was charged as appetizer instead of a side. It would had been better if a combo was offered like they do for lunch, then it will be worthwhile. My friend ordered regular wings (8 count) and a side of mac and cheese and they were okay. We each had a beer and for what we paid it was not worth it. I could've gotten a better meal somewhere else. Our server was super nice, friendly and checked on us often. Can't beat the beer price either but I was disappointed. The restaurant was not busy, so the lack of freshness and quality was not what we expected :(
The wings were good but honestly pretty small. Not sure how they claim to be “award-winning”.... I’d love to know who the judges were, because these wouldn’t even make my top 10. As for the sides, the petal onions and coleslaw were actually good and enjoyable. But the chicken nachos? Probably the worst I’ve ever had... definitely wouldn’t recommend. I’m giving 3 stars mainly because the service was great and the food came out fast. That part really stood out. Just wish the rest of the food lived up to the hype.
The food was alright. The Gator tails were good. I ordered the Buffalo chicken salad with sajd it came with tomatoes and got no tomatoes, I had to order them. The nachos and the rest of the food were fine. Nothing special, although the boneless wings were good. Honestly, I would not come back. I asked for avocado to give the salad a little taste, small portions of the boneless chicken
I was there on a Thursday for RockNRoll BINGO which is a fun atmosphere. I ordered the buffalo cauliflower which was recommended with the sauce on the side. That was a good call. I also had the grouper sandwich. The grouper was a little dry and not blackened as I had ordered it and the bun was over toasted and too hard. But the grouper itself was decent. Our server was super friendly and came around often so that made up for the disappointing sandwich.

It’s okay for our first time. The sauces are made in house and not that good. Our serve wasn’t attentive. She took forever to bring out food, she would forget mostly everything and we had to ask for a second refill and took it to go because we had already finished eating by the time she checked on us again.
My husband and I have gone to this place over a year. We spend alot of money on bingo, food, and drinks. We tip the bartender Sam, 20 dlls or more after 100 dollar tab , besides our bingo spending. But after two times in over a year we didn't do that, she accused us of under tipping and brought it to our attention. Saying she does not care how much we send on bingo or there on food and drinks, because she does not receive any benefit out of that. The sad part is that this person does not remember that when she lost a family member in December, we tipped her 20 on our tab, 20 in cash, and bought 20 dlls in raffle tickets to help out a little with her funeral expenses.
They have a lot of activities and event throughout the week but the last time we visited, we were disappointed in the quality of food. The pasta sauce for my son’s pasta tasted like chemicals. The fries were so saturated in grease my cup had grease marks from my fingers (super greasy fries but undercooked). The buffalo chicken wrap was soggy and my sister said it was the worse ceaser salad she’s ever had. We haven’t had a poor experience with food here so it was very disappointing. Sadly, I think this was a turn off and we probably won’t be back for a long time…

I visited this location for the all-you-can-eat wings special and requested that my wings be prepared crispy. I was told that due to the special, the wings could not be cooked longer, which I found odd, but I accepted it. However, what I was served were undercooked, nearly raw wings. What was disappointing was that the restaurant management made no effort to address the issue. I've visited other Gators locations in the Orlando area and have received much better service and properly cooked food. Based on this experience, I would not return to this location and do not recommend it to others. Our server was great, but the food quality fell below my expectations.
Disappointed the last time we ate here with a group, we all decided to remove it from of list of possibilities in the future. However, upon discovering they had a new lunch menu, hubby and I decided to give it another chance. At first, they didn't seem glad for us to be there, but the situation got worse. Our server recommended that I try the homemade chips with the BLT wrap instead of paying $1 to $3.99 more for a different side. Anything else should have been better than the uneatable chips that tasted like burnt cardboard. When all but a couple remained on the plate, I let her know that neither of us liked them, nor could manage to eat them. Without a word, she took the plate and quickly left. Knowing I was still hungry, hubby shared some of his bowl. Other than the totally burned slivers of onions, it tasted ok, though it was probably the heavy bourbon sauce that upset my stomach. At least, it wasn't bland! While waiting for lunch to be served, I examined the containers of condiments and hoped they refilled them with those that were not out of date like the salt container I took a picture of.
If you are looking for a neighborhood bar with bar food, Gator's will work, but not a place you want to go if you are expecting great food or service. Nothing that we ordered looked anything like what was shown on the menu, including the cocktails which were a huge disappointment. Our wait person kept disappearing, the bathrooms were dirty and smelly. I got one of the specials that was supposed to be with creole spiced shrimp, but the shrimp were very bland, and the salad was limp and uneventful. They used to have great sandwiches and food, but not anymore.

Went to this location after washing our dogs and ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, nachos, and wings. The Buffalo chicken patty you can tell it was from frozen and attempting to bite thru the middle was tough. I tried to take another bite but it just kept getting worst. The nachos were not any better, the chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil, the cheese was hard and the jalapeños tasted like they came from a can that had been sitting out for weeks. Our server took both back and we order other things in its place to try and turn around our experience. We ordered mozzarella sticks which the Mariana sauce was super runny like water was added to it and the steak bites. Steak bites had a couple of pure fat pieces which were disgusting on toast cut into little pieces. I couldn’t believe someone actually thought this was good enough presentation wise and flavor to place on the menu. The only saving grace to our visit was the server as she was very nice and tried her best to improve our experience. Gators is not what it used to be, hopefully one day it will gain its sparkle back.

I LOVE Gators. But I have to give them one star because of a certain server here. A manager needs to intervene. This last time I was fortunate enough to sit in someone else’s section but kept my eye on her that she didn’t come near me. Some things about this young lady are… her nose was runs A LOT and she’ll wipe it with her hand, then bring people their food. She likes to cough into her hand, then bring people their food. You can normally see her walking around the restaurant scratching her head, then bringing people food. It’s so gross! I do not know her name unfortunately. But if you come here, you will see her. Long brown hair, runny nose, coughing everywhere, scratching her hands, wearing her apron into the bathroom… and handling people’s food and drinks. I do not know how management does not see this. Oh, her section is normally the section to the right when you walk in the front door, in those big booths.
Used to come in as a customer as i do Granite work. Come in to get another trade cooking. Work there a month and found rather have 18 year old kids cooking for yall besides burgers & Philly steak subs. Come back to watch a game and get told I can't be there. Dirty company. Can see plates aren't cleaned if look at bottom of them. (Towel supposedly wipes the rest away). If quit even if didn't need the job you get banned

Oh, her section is normally the section to the right when you walk in the front door, in those big booths.
