No 1 Chinese

First time trying this location, and so far I had a great experience. The person taking the order was very nice, and the chicken wings were delicious.

This is absolutely Hands down the best chinese food anywhere in town. I know lately I'm seeing their rating go down because of people waiting long and that's why I'm writing this review. What people don't mention is that we've had two hurricanes back to back and they've been one of the only restaurants available because they chose to stay open until hours after everyone else shut and work in a super hot kitchen over gas stove on generators in order to serve the community. Plus, their food is AMAZING, so even during regular days, they get pretty busy. Just order ahead!! Call the order in well before you come to wait!! It's definitely worth it because I guarantee their food is beating any other chinese restaurant in the area. My name is Virginia Davis and this is my review. A+++++. And people should be more considerate of the circumstances. I waited in the mcdonalds drive through for over 55 minutes and in the gas line 45 minutes, and everyone waits patiently. Then I go to this small business and everyone is complain, complain, complain. It's a little ridiculous. I also worked in a chinese restaurant by Disney for a year, and I know that the reviews online REALLY hurt these small companies more than you probably imagine, so have a heart before you post something just because you had a bad day. I bet your day wasn't as bad as the people south of us. Order your food ahead. If you're waiting so long doesn't it kind of prove how good they are to begin with

Although the restaurant doesn't seem in good shape on the inside, don't judge a book by its cover. I won't eat Chinese food anywhere else but here. The service and the love and care they take to make my food impeccable. They ask and you shall receive kind of resturant. My fries are always crispy, and my God, their BBQ chicken wings, always on point. I don't really get much of a home cooked meal because I'm always working, but this is as close to home as it gets for me. Thank you for the great food and amazing service.

I bought the vegetable fried rice (1 pint) $8 with 8 crab rangoon $6 and a bottle of water $1. We decided to eat inside instead of takeout. Very comfortable a little outdated inside but the only negative thing I found was HOT inside no A/C was running. I gave a 5 star to the food which is the most important thing and friendly staff. I see mixed reviews but I couldn’t find anything negative other than being hot inside.

Not sure how any of that is because I just get Chinese food. Their food is slightly different from the previous owners, but not in a bad way. The restaurant is cleaner and has been redesigned with a nicer counter and the huge monitors displaying the menu.

If you are in Apopka then go here , i definitely recommend this place! It trumps all others, and the food was amazing, unlike others in area . I must admit it even rivals "Some" local spots in NYC . Food amazing great takeout I definitely recommend and will be only eating there when I feel like Chinese. Not for dining but take out for sure !

Best Chinese takeout in Apopka! We have lived here for a few years and somehow struggled to find good Chinese spot. We stumbled across No 1 Chinese because my daughter had a craving on a Monday. For some reason, nearly everything is closed on Mondays in Apopka, but No 1 was open so we gave it a shot. Best boneless bbq spare ribs we’ve ever had! This is now our go-to for Chinese. The food is fantastic and the staff are so friendly! Highly recommend!

In the past I came here a few times to get food and the food was horrible, I didn't like it at all and I stopped going there. I was working at the salon down the street a couple of years ago and the place was under new management, I decided to give it a try, what I witnessed was the cleaning of the chicken breast from the packs which let me know the chicken was real and clean, I always see them deep cleaning the part they are cooking in, the kitchen area, upon witnessing this I think the building itself is old but they do what they can to keep the place clean, I have never had a problem with customer service and am grateful for that, for them to be located her they are cleaner and their food tastes better than some of the more bigger and popular ones. This is an honest, witnessed review. I definitely come more often now than I did in the past. Their food is good and fresh, the owners of the building could definitely give them a makeover, but they do keep it as clean as they can.

My family and I have been coming here for years.the food is good and the delivery is on time. I usually just pick it up. And I have noticed that it's not very clean in here. I'm not expecting anything fancy but it should be clean at the very least. The dining area is always dirty and the back doesn't look much better. That said I still get food from here because it's good.

I've been ordering from them for the past 3 years, and they have been good to order from on a regular basis. There have been one or 2 times where the sauce leaked from the container during delivery, probably from the bag being tilted at some point. It's very rare though, and they are very reliable to order from. If you're looking for Chinese food in this area you should give them a try!

The meat and other food was very good, but please work on the rice. I’m not sure if it was low quality rice or it had been sitting too long or if it was overcooked, but please use high quality long grain rice and take more care to get the texture right. I prefer this to the other Chinese take out nearby but my wife won’t let me buy food here unless the rice is better. It was too hard and clumped together too much.

This food has changed it’s not the same owner is not the same food. This was the best Chinese food in Apopka but after they changed it; I don’t even think it’s worth going it tastes like fake Chinese food.

The food is good. I ordered the Boneless Ribs & Beef & Broccoli but when I got home I had chicken & broccoli. That was not good. The ribs & lo mein was excellent. I will eat here again but I'll check the food before I go.

I normally like the food here, but todays order, came with 2 day old egg rolls, tough. with a dried out filling; and the egg foo young, while not exactly burned, were black! My only request was that they add more 'sauce' to the honey chicken, which is ALWAYS dry! I am very disappointed. Next time, I will order in person, and inspect all my food BEFORE, I LEAVE WITH IT! They do have a good on time delivery man.

My husband is OBSESSED with this spot, and orders from there about once a week. However, they are SLOOOOOOOW moving. We've went in twice, and both times after ordering we waited over an hour. Good for them for being so busy, sad for us when we're hungry. This is mostly a typical Chinese food joint. I'm not the biggest fan, and the location is tight and it's typical for a drunk or homeless person to wander in and make things awkward. The service seems to always borderline on annoyance that they have to deal with you. They get an extra star for my husband's sake because he is in love.

Got delivery and I regret it! Nothing had any flavor. Crab Rangoon tasted old and just had no flavor! Kung pow chicken had no seasoning, no spice no sauce and had an unusual chemical taste to it. Eggroll completely bland if you’re looking for food with flavor, this is not the place to go

Was so much better under old owners. Angel called in an order that should have been ready for me to pick up when I got there. I walked in Visa card in hand and stood at the counter 10 to 15 minutes before they could even be bothered to come and talk to me because they were giving everybody else a whole bunch of orders even though mine would have been ready 10 minutes or 15 minutes before I got there. When I asked if they had an order for Charlie they said yeah but they basically refused to produce it until I had had enough nonsense to say to hell with this and turned around and left. In this instance there was only the order for my wife's food because the new preparation method of their shrimp with lobster sauce I found disgusting the last time I went there so I wasn't going to go there again myself but I would go pick up for my wife.

I have gotten food in the past and it was always really good . I ordered last night and the chicken in the sweet and sour chicken was so hard and dry you could barely bite through it. The boneless spare ribs had a great taste but half of the strips were all fat. The pork fried rice was very basic with rice a few Sam pieces of onion. 3-4 bean sprouts and a very small amount of pork. No other vegetables or eggs. Went out of my way to order from them and am highly disappointed…

The Food is okay at best. They tell you a time and almost an HOUR later, all you get is an "Soo SORRY". It happened once to many times. They can not be dismissive. I get it that it is only Chinese food, but not ok. They lost another customer.

I have ordered from them for years. Sadly the the last time i ordered from them the delivery took an hour and 45 minutes!!!!! they are less than a mile from my place! they offered a free SMALL crab rangoon!!! My order was over $30 and didn't arrive with in the 45 minute time frame THEY promised. How is this even acceptable? In addition to this when i called to check on my order after the 50 minute mark they said the driver had to stop for gas. I called again after it had been an hour and 15 minutes. He was still getting gas! What?!

Waited one hour after ordering before i got my food. Someone was mixing Sauce on the floor in a bucket within site of the counter. Food is left sitting out on shelves and on the top of fryer machines before being cooked. Very disorganized, kept saying only one more minute, Not. To bad after all my waiting the food was inedible. I'm very sad, this place went downhill....

This place is DISGUSTING! The little boy on the counter handling money and people's credit cards also preps food and puts his dirty paws on the food containers to load the food on the fryer, and not ONCE he washed his hand! NASTY! The place stinks! Also the little boy was throwing food remnants from the fryer baskets by hitting it on the fryer so the remnants would fall behind it instead of washing it properly. I used to work in the food industry, and EVERYTHING they do is a HUGE no-no! Eeeeeek! 🤢

I ordered honey chicken with chicken fried rice. I got sweet and sour chicken with honey pour over it. As for the chicken fried rice it was all chicken and lots of onions. No veggies at all. Egg drop soup was cold like they just took it out the freezer. The egg roll was old and re deep in oil. First time I have order from here and it will be the last time. I just moved to Apopka and thought finally found a Chinese place that delivers. They need to revamp their whole staff and maybe menu. They should consider going out of business.
