I don't drive this way often but when I do, I make sure I stop by here and grab a delicious latte and burrito! Anything I have tried here on the menu is great! The live music and family feel-good vibes here really make the experience worthwhile. The owner and staff are fun social people to chat it up with and make you feel so welcome. I encourage everyone to visit this sweet gem of a spot tucked away in Aptos.
Everything about this place is awesome. I come here 3-4 days a week for the coffee, breakfast sandos, and the wonderful environment and staff. It’s a great place to post up and jam on some emails, or just chat it up with the owner, Sylvia. There’s a great outdoor area where they frequently have live music. Very kid friendly, and dog friendly too! 5 stars for sure!
We started to come for coffee and ended up Having the wonderful tasty homemade soups they are offering. Every single choice on the menu is healthy and tasty. Coffee is very good also. What a wonderful hidden gem coffee shop with a great atmosphere and service. Definitely must visit.
Lovely spot to enjoy a coffee or any of the other drinks & food offered. Nice indoors & lovely patio. Music on some weekends. Sylvia, the owner, is a beautiful woman who treats customers like friends & family. The coffee is good too! ☕️😊🐾
Great coffee and food. The location of the shop is super cool and set right on the backdrop of the redwoods🌲.
Just discovered this place down the road from a workout studio that I was trying out (also amazing...Synergy Fitness!). The coffee here was yummy and I was able to drink it out of a proper ceramic mug. Plenty of spots inside with Wi-Fi and power and lots of seating outside to enjoy the sun and live entertainment. There was a lovely and talented performer here (@junebugbayer) which really made this a perfect Northern California Sunday experience.
I used to come here a lot when it was a different business (almost a decade ago). Been a while, but I came in with a healthy dose of skepticism... but I am SOLD. The macha latte is divine. I recommend. The staff genuinely friendly and helpful. AND the clean bathroom is a huge comfort for the weary traveler. Come come, come ye, come all!!!
Very pretty little spot w excellent coffee. The barista is very skilled! Small fenced mini dog park. Lots of bagels, pastries etc. good for breakfast or lunch.

Amazing little quaint and warm place that’s ample on charm! Visited here from Colorado on a Sunday morning with family who live in the area. Enjoyed hearty breakfast burritos and a fantastic bagel with lox and cream cheese. Coffe and tea drinks were exceptional as well. Far exceeded any expectations we could have had. As we arrived they were setting up for some lively Sunday morning live music! Don’t miss this place if you’re seeking coffee or a quick bite and super-friendly folks!
This coffee shop should be already in your regular places to hang out, for a quick coffee on your way to work or for a lazy time over the weekend with friends. The food is local and delicious, amazing atmosphere, and very friendly staff.
Ran in for a quick cup on my way to the airport. Didn’t stay long but was greeted right a way by a pretty dark haired lady with a big smile. She made me a nice latte very quickly and I was on my way. The atmosphere felt warm & comfortable. There was a nice outdoor area and a sign advertising live music. I hope to go back again. Nice place. Good vibes.
I love this coffee shop! Friendly - and the food is good. Breakfast Dawners are my favorite. There's a lovely garden, giving it quite a tropical feel, and a dog patio where your pooch can hang out. They have bands playing through the summer months on many Saturdays, and I have seen some pretty fun afternoon vibes happening, with space to dance and patrons enjoying some wine, mimosas and beer. Fun place. But if peace and quiet is your thing, then most other days it's pretty laid back and relaxed.
Great spot! The burrito was big enough to split between two people and very yummy with a delicious homemade salsa. Good coffee as well, would definitely return.
Love this place! Great selection of coffee and drinks as well as food freshly made and locally-sourced. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The live music is awesome! Lots of space to sit inside and outside, the patio offers more room for little ones to run around as well.
Ever since Sylvia Reyes took over California Coffee, she has provided stellar service and help for the community. From her student discounts to her help for seniors with their trusts, etc., she and her staff have shown their support and integration into the Santa Cruz communities. Her coffee drinks and breakfast burritos are off the chart great. I highly recommend visiting her shop.

Food is to die for! The burritos are huge and incredibly delicious. My only struggle is they take forever to get food. Order five burritos 50 minutes ago. Ugh! Other than that, friendly & yum!

The coffee shop is super cute and the staff is extremely friendly. I’m super sad that the coffee and food just don’t match up to the vibes. The coffee tasted both burnt and watered down. The lattes were over $8 each, which I’m happy to pay for a really good coffee, but there was nothing special about the coffee here. I also got a breakfast burrito that unfortunately didn’t taste like anything. The eggs were microwaved so they had a weird texture and it just wasn’t seasoned. It was really disappointing for a $15 burrito. The owner is super sweet and I want to support her, however due to the very high prices and lackluster product, I can’t see myself being a repeat customer.

Very overpriced burrito, and I’m coming from SF so that’s saying no something. Staff also completely forgot our food order and left us waiting about 20 mins before we finally said something. We were the only customers in the place at the time. Heard the burritos were good but will not be visiting again.
Cute cafe with rude service and overpriced coffee. They cafe open until 2, but at 1:39, staff members make guests feel unwelcome by refusing to serve hot beverages. My iced coffee tasted sad and very bitter. My pastry was stale. Everything is expensive, and then they ask for a tip on top of bad service. The sight "Best Coffee in Aptos" is the height of irony
