We came in as a party of 4 experiencing indian restaurant for the first time and the staff were very attentive. Everyone was invitng, friendly and genuinely happy to have us there. The food was absolutely delicious as it's fresh, flavourful and pefectly cooked. Ambrosia indian bistro is more than just a restaurant, it's a place where you can feel celebrated and cared for. Highly recommended for locals & visitors alike.
The buffet is delicious and a great deal! Plenty of vegetarian options. The meat was chicken but served at least 3 ways. Maybe 7 or more dishes to pick from as well as a salad bar. They had a mango puree as a desert that was very nice as well. Hot naan bread served to the table as well. Service is friendly as well. It was fairly quiet when I went.
My lunch was fresh, tasty and satisfying. Always prepared to order with colorful decor and polite, prompt service. My Vegetarian Thali was exquisite! 👌 Saag, Chana, Curry, Daal and Garlic Naan were delightful. Achar pickles would be a nice touch, can't be mad when you're feeling this good! 😋 Would love to see traditional desserts like Jalebi or Halwa. Looking forward to their Holiday menu as well 😏 Overall a wonderful experience, will return very soon, cheers!🥂
Recommended as a great stop after a good beach walk, portions are large, filling and delicious. Very cute restaurant with nice and quiet indian classic music. Service is very friendly, definietly recommend.
Delicious food, friendly service and a warm inviting vibe. Had the lunch buffet, all items are full of rich, authentic flavor. The mango Panna cotta for desert was a perfect finish. The Indian instrumental music in the background made the experience even more special. Can't wait to come back.
I recently visited this Indian restaurant for their buffet service, and it was truly a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, fresh, and with a great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and felt like true home-style Indian cooking. The ambience was clean, calm, and welcoming. Tables were well-maintained, and the whole place had a cozy yet classy feel, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. One thing that really stood out was the visible family involvement in the restaurant. that warmth shows in the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about the guests’ experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a clean, family-friendly setting. I’ll definitely be back!
It's my 3rd time here. I saw new arrangements of sitting and I totally love it. I tired momo and somosa, which I feel very delicious and highly recommended to try as starters. Prawn biryani is new taste for me and it's my top favourite from on. I'll again try this in my next visit. The way staff makes a customer welcoming is so outstanding. The new looks of restraunt is amazing with the big statute of Ganesha and natraj, gives authentic indian vibes. It's worth of visiting and trying indian dishes. They also provide lunch buffet in the lunch Time and through the customer I get to know, they also provide catering.
Our family has been going to Ambrosia Aptos for many years. This and all of their locations are incredible. The food is delicious, and the staff is very kind and attentive. They also offer catering! Some of the best Indian food you can find anywhere, highly recommend.

Really happy with our meal from Ambrosia. The lamb curry was delicious, and the naan was perfect. We also got an order of the paneer tikka masala which was lovely. No complaints, will surely be back!
wow, i heard many times regards of indain restrauants and i found why its called indain restaurant. had and amazing butter chicken with coconut rice. chicken momo is my favorito from on, those flavors stills gives me water in mouth. slizzers are top notch, i had tandoori chicken and tandoori lobster. i will visit again. highly recommended.
I was here with my family. Restaurant was busy but food and Service was on time. Overall good experiences. Thanks for flavour-full indian food.
We came total of 5 people and got the great food and services. Had a wonderful fun time with my family. Family environment with great hospitality and food. Great Indian restaurant.

Such a nice place for lunch and dinner. Attentive and warm servers, peaceful dining experience, and really good food. I love the variety, and their naan is made in house. Can't beat the lunch buffet- it's a great place for staff/work lunches, too.
YES! YES! YES! I finally found an Indian food lunch buffet!!! And boy did the food not disappoint! My only wish is that they would’ve given me garlic butter naan instead of plain naan. However, I’ll definitely be returning!!!
This is a restaurant with an elegant atmosphere , great service , good wine list and a wide selection of North-Indian dishes. Food , however, is NOT authentic Indian. We found it bland but a bit excessive in oil & certain flavorings/ spices. We ordered the Paneer sizzler, vegan butter chicken, mutter paneer, vegan aloo paratha, plain naan and raita. I requested some achaar- Indian pickle and the house made achar was satisfying. Naan & raita were both very satisfying as well ! The aloo paratha was disappointing with unnecessarily excessive flavoring . The dessert menu was very small and boring. We ended the meal with the ghulab jamun, served hot. It was good !
Ambrosia in Aptos has maintained the quality of the food & taste. Post covid dine-in observations...papad and chutneys used to be on the house now they are charging hefty, all menu items hiked up. Mushroom masala was very well prepared, Malai Kofta needed to spice up a bit instead of tasting almost like a desert, Baigan bharta was pretty bad. Onion Kulcha and Garlic Naans were great so was the Paneer chili appetizer even though it tasted like a fusion dish. Overall, they can cut down tomato based gavy in most of the dishes. Staff is too direct telling customers to leave as it passed closing time ....Overall still a great place in this neighborhood! Will continue to be their regular customer as long as they maintain. Recent visit was very memorable! Great to see customer friendly staff and delicious food. Bread basket (stuffed aloo parata, Garlic and regular naans) and Paneer Makhani deserve 5 star rating. Saag Paneer was bit bland, could do with more flavor & taste. Tried their Samosa chaat apetizer. Very different from any other place yet creative. Wanted to specially acknowledge the staff for his quick action and humor in handing over forgotten mobile device from the table. Latest visit was a bit of disappointment. Vindaloo vegetable didn’t offer taste or flavour, will be avoided. Chilli paneer was made in Chinese style and it was on dry side. For some reason potato parata in the basket tasteless whereas other breads were great this time. Mango lassi tasted bit stale. Paneer sizzler never disappoints especially the chunky fresh tasting spiced paneer with veggies.
Very generous portions and tasty food. There is a small outdoor sitting area. It is a small restaurant, tables are small and sitting are is tight. The staff is friendly and prompt. The food is delicious. We tried couple of dishes and they were all good.
The food is good, liked the vibe. Loved the Amritsari Paneer sizzler, authentic Indian breads, Gravy-not so much.

I enjoyed the food and would rate it five stars, but unfortunately, the service fell short, warranting only one star. When I presented a Groupon voucher for $25 toward my $63 bill, the restaurant increased the total to $74, explaining that Groupon orders are subject to different pricing. This practice meant that while I paid $14 for the voucher, the remaining $11 was effectively recouped through a higher menu price—a policy I find questionable. Aside from this disappointing pricing tactic, the food quality was excellent and the restrooms were well maintained.
Good Indian food… (for USA!) Firstly we have lived in the UK (which had exceptional Indian food IMO) so like to think we know good Indian food 😝. Maybe others will disagree… Generally we have found Indian restaurants in the USA have been pretty low quality (sorry) but this was better than average was totally fine, just not amazing… The bhindi okra dish was the standout winner, onion bahjis and dahl and rogan josh were all good too. Not particularly cheap, but that’s California I guess!

I tried this place today and had worst experience of my life. Raita was sweet in taste naans were undercooked and okra masala, wallah, was the showstopper. If I paid full price for okra masala I expect quantity according to that but this place they were rubbish, they gave me half of the quantity for the full amount. That’s the worst experience I have ever had. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this garbage place.

We ordered spicy dal makhani , kadhai chicken and gobhi aloo , all three were high in salt and super tangy. Dal tasted like tomato sauce. Ii don’t like wasting food but this was not even worth bringing home (left over) Service is good, staff is nice
