This spot is everything you want in classic fried chicken. The chicken is thick and not overly coated or salty like some places. I liked their chicken strips, which weren't oily at all. The rolls deserve their own shoutout. Seriously, I prefer these buns over any other chicken spot. I also tried the Thai tea and mashed potatoes with gravy, both of which were great as well. They have an open kitchen, so you can watch all the action as your food comes together. That's always a good sign, as you can literally see the care they have in prepping the food. They don’t take phone orders, but it’s really not an issue. Service is super quick, parking is easy, and even when there’s a line, it moves fast.

A trip down memory lane. I went to Cal Poly Pomona and this was always the place my friends and I would come too. I happened to be in the area and I was like why not. Pick up some chicken and it tasted just like how I remembered it. It’s good to see that nothing’s changed here.

The food was so good! The chicken strips were seasoned to perfection and cooked to a perfect golden crisp. Also to get a whole meal for less than $12 that I can eat off of for two days is a win! Will definitely be going back to try the fried chicken.

We have been coming here for over 25 years. Bye far the best broasted chicken in the WORLD . Chicken and sides or just Chicken choice. Either way you won't be disappointed. The only downside is it's only take out . No seating. Still the best Chicken around !!!

This is a no frills famil.y chicken spot. Good fried chicken woth standard sides. The fries are steak fries sized. The chicken is nicely season and fresh to fry, however its not southern style where its brined overnight to couple days. Nevertheless it beats all the fast food chicken out there, this is a much better choice. You can also dictate the type of pieces you want. I ordered a three piece dark and got all thighs. The wonderful lady said no problem. What an excellent response!. Don't sleep on this place. The locals been knowin' all along!

Donahoo’s has been operating here for years and the food has been as consistent as day 1. Every time we go here, the chicken is crispy and flavorful. For the meals, they give you lots of steak cut fries, a decently-sized side and a butter bun. I love the combination of everything and much rather come here for my fried chicken fix than the national chains. I highly recommend this restaurant to absolutely everyone.

First of all, the food here is actually good! For my first time, I was a bit confused on what to order. I got the 12 meal and large fries and side. The fries are good and the bread is good as well. Here are some prices so you can get an idea. The chicken and tender are both good and taste fresh! Paid about $38 to feed 4 people.

We arrived a few minutes after our pickup designated time and our order was not ready for pickup. It was explained that they don't start packing the order until you arrive. I didn't know that, so I was somewhat anxious because we needed to get to El Monte to catch our bus to the Hollywood Bowl by 6pm. Thank God we made with 10 minutes to spare. I had not been to the Pomona location in a long time, because the flavor of the chicken had changed. Because we were going to El Monte, we didn't have time to go to Ontario. I was happy when we begin our meal to taste that the flavor was back! Even the leftover next day tenders were flavorful.

Great crispy coating. Chicken was a little dried for fried, but was not oily. The breast was very small but the tenders were good, recommend the tenders if you are here. Only hot sauce available is sambal.

Overall the 🐔 is okay. Nothing incredibly impressive such as broasted chicken. The service though is quite great! 👌 They are super friendly and quick to get your order. Also tried their boba while I was here and its a little watered down. Overall 3.8/5 Taste 4/5 Quality 4/5 Atmosphere 3/5

The chicken was mediocre. Fries we amazing! Very crispy! Nothing to travel for. Canes has better chicken and canes has no flavor. Drink options are slim. Waited for about 20-30 minutes for my order only two 6 pieces meals. If I lived close I would go back to try the chicken on the bone but definitely not a travel to food spot!

Very simple and safe fried chicken not many options in the area figured I'd try it. It's pretty obvious prices are higher then I'd like to admit. The chicken itself is very safe with the flavor dominantly being salt. In terms of the breading was somewhat crispy yet oily not very well stuck to the chicken how it should be. Very average, all of it tasted clean the chicken didn't have anything special for me to come back especially for the price. The coleslaw was also just alright. Only take out incase you're not aware.

Came for lunch. Mainly to see what the hype was about. While it can be a great comfort food for nostalgia and for people in the SGV and IE. This however did not live up to the hype of great chicken. The service was fast but the food was underwhelming. The batter was heavy and not in a good way. My bread tasted old. Maybe caught them on the wrong day.

Tried this chicken for the first time today. It was good. Probably a little better than KFC. I ordered the 12 piece meal which is supposed to include one side, biscuit and fries. When I got home, I realized that they did not give us the biscuits and fries. I called just to let them know but they do not speak English very well. They didn't understand that I was just letting them know so they could be more careful. Person on the phone went silent, no apology. It was kind of weird. All in all, I wouldn't go out of my way for this chicken, and this will probably be the last time we visit.
