My absolute favorite restaurant! I wish I could just live in here! We're practically family by now. Run by THE most BoDaCiOuS crew!!
Service was great. Ordered crab cakes to start, very tasty. Shrimp trio for hubby. Came grilled fries and wrapped in bacon. Each had their own great flavor. Sub salad in lieu of dirty rice. I got general tso chicken and sub fried rice in lieu of steamed rice. Fresh veggies and season. Nothing over powering. Not a lot of batter to hide the chicken so that was great. They have beer and sodas. Next time I’ll try a rita. Decor was a bit of Chinese and hunting with country music playing in background. They had the Aggies game on so yay!! All in all great place for lunch and dinner. Definitely will be back
One of the best local spots. Amazing and welcoming people, attention to order, and FANTASTIC food. I highly recommend their Philly Cheesesteak. My wife loves their seafood options.
It is difficult for me to see where the negative comments have come from which a few have left. I dine there on occasion, including today. I have always found their prices to be very reasonable and the service and atmosphere to be excellent. My server was new, so her manager was helping her a bit, but they were both outstanding. In regards to the food, I had fried flounder with shrimp etouffe. My family hails from southern Louisiana, so I can tell you that both were made perfectly. Something I have rarely found to be the case in my beloved Texas. We Texans are better at BBQ than etouffe, as we should be.
Dilly’s always comes through! Every time I call, my order is complete and just the way I like it. They never forget my eggs or my fully loaded baked potato catfish—no wonder they call me the 'egg lady'! I truly enjoy my restaurant family. See you all soon!
Service is spot on, the food is amazing with a nice diverse selection. If I have to pick my #1 dish, it’s got to be the 3 piece fried fish with Corn Nuggets. The flavor is great, the fish they have is meaty and succulent, the breading is crispy and crunchy. It’s just absolutely phenomenal. Good classic fish fry qualitayyyy. My go to and a must try. 10/10, Great family owned restaurant and it’s always a pleasure to visit.
I haven’t had a bad plate at all. Their food is awesome. My favorite is Grilled Red Fish with Crawfish Étouffée, really good. Sweet tea… just like mommas.
We stopped in here on a Monday evening for a quick bite. Wonderful and hospitable service from Corina and Rob. Food was fantastic as well as the attention to detail. We will definitely be back! Great job Corina and great job Rob see y’all again !
Wow, we were passing through and i googled restaurants. It was the best decision! They have a variety, which was nice. My husband loves seafood, i love burgers. I figured it would be a win. And it was, very delicious! I would go here all the time if I lived here.
Just stopped in for the first time for lunch. Ordered the catfish/fries. Is that chicken fried catfish I just ate? Whatever the batter was, it was probably the best catfish I've had in a long time. Very fresh, flaky, moist white meat, and the flavor was wonderful. I think if they offered homemade fries, that would be better. The cashier/greeter was very friendly and had my order out to go quickly. I will definitely be back again. Great food, great service!
DILLY'S is a must stop for lunch in Iowa colony. My favorite is the grilled snapper with broccoli and dirty rice, best snapper in Brazoria. Of course, you can substitute the fried rice which is delicious, but more calories
I’m honestly shocked their reviews aren’t higher just goes to show that ratings don’t always reflect the experience. My husband and I came here for lunch and despite the busy lunchtime traffic, the two ladies working the entire floor were absolutely on point. They managed the whole room smoothly, made sure drinks stayed full, checked in regularly without being overbearing and even timed bringing the check perfectly so we weren’t waiting around. Their attention to detail really impressed me. I even appreciated how my cucumbers were cut (see photo!). My husband really enjoyed his redfish plate too. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the overall experience was great. We’ll definitely be back.
Great food. The atmosphere feels like home. I love the owner and how they were so friendly. Our food came out fast. They always running special for lunch. I had Snapper Ponchatrain and gumbo. I love the Cajun seafood with a Filipino twist. Love it 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
Great service and atmosphere. Everyone is so kind and the stuff salmon is 10/10 omg. I’m so happy lol.
My husband and I ate dinner here last night and we ordered the whole fish. We ordered the red snapper grilled. It was deliciously cooked perfect. There was a mix up at first with our order, but they immediately fixed it. It takes about 30 minutes to prepare, but it is worth the wait. I'm giving them a 5 because they are a family owned business. Honest people. Good service. Clean restaurant. The son waited on us after the mix up and the owner, his father cooked our food.
This is a great place. This is my 3rd time eating here, the first two times were pick up orders. Every meal has been really good. This time I ordered the special, grilled redfish over rice with crawfish etoufee and my coworker had the fried shrimp. It was delicious and our waitress was great!
The fish is my mother's favorite 😍. She's been at my home recovering for the past few weeks, and she's ordered this fish for lunch at least 7 times on the past 18 days. It's fresh, crunchy, and hot when we get it. Hush puppies are good. Fries are lightly salted. I season mine to my liking. Overall, the food here is delicious 😋. I don't have a photo, but the chicken Philly cheese steak sandwich is crazy good. It is filled with seasoned grilled chicken, 2 cheeses, and grilled onions. The grilled shrimp salad, grilled chicken salad, and grilled salmon salad are all amazingly delicious as well. I normally use Balsamic Vinegarette on any of these, but there are other options. Be sure to request no bacon bits because it is on every salad
The food is good and everyone there is so sweet! It’s a must try I ste before The pictures but everything was so good… look at that steak perfectly cooked.. the wings so well sauced. The pasta makes me want to go back for more. I’ve beeen there more then just once and every time wasn’t disappointed. Thanks dilly!
Known this place since it was located in Manvel, TX…so happy it’s where it’s at in Iowa Colony, TX. Up & coming neighborhood & city, without a doubt this place will be a city gem as it was at its first location. Great delicious food followed by friendly hospitality from the staff. Keep up the great work! Yum yum😋
My son decide to try Dilly’s is only 4 minutes from our house . The food was good and the service was great. I had the hot wings and fried pickles. My son had the catfish with fries . My only suggestion will be to add a little bit more seasoning to the fish . Overall I recommend my neighbors to come try the food .

i loved being here!!! i saw a review commenting on a greasy aspect of the fish but i couldn’t disagree more! the fish i had was fried hard while also having a fluffy light and crisp batter, not overly greasy at all! the design is nice and comforting and i loved the 2010 throwbacks playing on the radio! i can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes:)
Fried shrimp, fish, and oysters are GREAT!!!! Staff is extremely nice and helpful. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! Well if you want fried oysters call ahead to be sure they have them. They're so good they sell out!
Been in there a handful of times. Every time was great. The Catfish is on the money. Go try it. Service was good and never slacked. They want u to come back...
In town for one of our Navy All-American jersey presentations. We stumbled across this place and glad we did.i must say the menu was a little overwhelming with basically 5 different varieties of food, Italian,Seafood,Chinese,American Hamburgers, French Creole. However the nice waitress walked us through a few of her favorites and got us pointed in the right direction. The bar was on point too.

First time visiting. The seafood combo was better than I expected. Can't judge by one to-go meal. The place seems to be returnable.
My review is based only on the crawfish. I am a crawfish addict and I was pretty skeptical trying the crawfish from a new spot. It was pretty good! Great flavor and amount of spice. I only took off 1 star because I had a few undercooked crawfish. Price was higher than what I would pay at my usual crawfish spots but I may buy it here again since it is so close to home.
Solid place for lunch. While the menu is all over the place (seafood, burgers, Cajun and Italian?), the catfish I had for lunch was decent and my friends who had burgers said they were good too. Portions are generous, so it's generally good deal. The sweet tea is excellent, proper Texas style; it's sweet enough to strip varnish, but it is delicious.
Kept it simple with the crayfish queso and the Boudreaux bread. They were both pretty dang good. I could eat the Boudreaux bread all day. The jalapeños give it nice little kick.
Im torn because at first the food was good and it was close to home. But lately the food and service has dropped off. Its hit or miss on both aspects. I would give it a 5 if we each area improves. It definitely was better when Robert would come around.

I’m all for leaving a tip for good service. But their method of paying automatically was leaving them a 9 dollar tip for a takeout order. I find that to be dishonest. A tip is something the client decides not something automatic. Thankfully I caught it and she had to void out the whole order and re charge me. Maybe that tip would be justified if my family dined in, but not for a to go order.
Order to go looking at the flyer menu at the front desk for an order with salad or coleslaw..18.+ dollar. Rang up that the price was different and had to pay extra for salad. Asked for the salad that clearly came with meal on menu to be removed then. Front desk attendant couldn't get the machine to do it. CHECK PRICES BEFORE ORDERING... MENU IS NOT UPDATED TO ACTUAL COST OR ITEMS PROVIDED IN COST.🙄$2.99 salad 🥗
I tried Dilly’s for the first time and ordered grilled shrimp and wild rice to go. It was honestly delicious! But as I got to the bottom of my dish, I discovered to what appears to be a maggot. Someone please tell me this isn’t a maggot because I really want to believe you! I was really hoping this would be my go to spot.
Lots of different food options. Food was good. If you come as a club/group, they refuse to split the check and insist that only one person pays. In 16 years and 700+ club meetings, we’ve never hand a location flat refuse to split the check. They don’t provide service to people that pay separately.

Prices seemed good until you received your food. I prefer Manvel Seafood. St Dilly's there is no salad or coleslaw with the fish and a small quantity of fries. My husband had the 1 fish plus 6 shrimp. He said shrimp was good, but the fish was soggy. I got the crawfish queso. It was good, but I did not care for the chips. Having read other reviews, we were prepared for a 4% fee for using a credit card (although did not see that anywhere and was not told about it) and brought cash. I asked for the bill and the waitress said I could look at her tablet (while she held it and turned it in my direction). I did get a paper copy of the receipt which was itemized. The total was $31.21. I paid with two 20 dollar bills ($40) and received $8.27 in change. I still don't understand that.
The people here are wonderful and always friendly. This is the best thing about Dilly's. The food however, isn't great at all and is a tad bit pricey for the quality of food. I really hate the seafood. The boils taste like it was boiling in dishwater. I order the salads often and had been giving a plate with lettuce and shrimp on it and was charged $20. When the restaurant runs out of ingredients for the meals, they don't change the price, or remove the meal from the menu, they just give you the poorly made dish and charge full price. All in all, dilly's is a friendly place with terrible quality of food.
This restaurant just opened up nearby and wanted to give it a try. We ordered a few things off of the menu to get a variety sampling of what they had to offer. The pepper steak is nothing special, similar to what you would probably find at a Chinese buffet. For the price I wouldn't order it again let alone try anything off the Chinese portion of the menu. Bacon cheese burger and the double are seasoned well. The bread is soft and sweet (guessing provided by its donut shop counterpart next door). Fries included are run in the mill crinkle cut. The flounder and shrimp etoufee special of the day was ok. The etoufee was the better part of the dish, deep buttery flavor. The cornmeal-ed fried flounder was ok. Didn't notice any kind of special seasoning. The biggest problem I had was the experience. Things took a lot longer than expected (not overly busy and a fair amount of staff). I noticed there was a help wanted sign on the door, so maybe the staff isn't getting sufficient training and just quickly being put out on the floor. When it came time to pay the bill, normally you get to review your bill to make sure what you ordered is what you're being charged for... Not here. When we asked to get the check, the employee just stood there with a handheld device waiting for my card. We asked for a receipt and all we got itemized on it was a subtotal, a 4% non cash fee and tax. Wasnt made aware that people who use a CC get another 4% tacked onto their bill.

I went there recently completely messed up my order. I was going to let it go. But then the owner was like, what do you want me to do about it? She also insisted that I come back up there, to bring the food back just instead of offering to give me a credit or refund.

Whoever they have answering the phone right now needs some customer service training asap!! Food isn’t that good to be acting like that while customers are trying to place an order.
Today 2-8-2025 my daughter order food from this place. If I tell you it was the worst food ever. She spent 85.00 on a seafood hot box plus two pounds extra crawfish. The seafood was old and not fresh. It was black lie it wasn’t eased. At first I thought it was black pepper. Shrimp looked liked the were boiled over and left over. Crab was just pitiful. Dead crawfish was boiled and some of them tasted rotten. Corn was partial rotten and the just grew everything in pot and boil it. This was a take out order and we had someone pick it up. I’m handicap and could not get out to bring it back. The food they gave us I wouldn’t give to a dog. I will never go back to this place and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. I don’t know how the other food taste there just please stay away from the boils.
Update: Dining experience. Everyone is nice! Now that I got that out of the way. Service is slow, food isn't the appropriate temperature , fish was overcooked, and it's a clear sanitation violation going on in the kitchen. The server never came to check on us at all. We sat there for at least 25 minutes watching her run back and forth. Needless to say, for $50, it should be damn worth it. We won't be back at all. I really had high hopes, but it's a no for us. My son and I were sitting there thinking it's been a very long time since we've experienced bad food. This is disheartening. Sorry Dilly's. -------‐-------------------------- As many times as I've passed by here, I had no idea it was an actual restaurant. They have a full service menu and adult beverages. This is a very nice family restaurant. The catfish was so good!!!! We had leftover sides, so we only needed meat. When I go back I will update this review. I will be back!
We ordered take out for 2 pounds of crawfish and while eating the crawfish we found a big whole BUG in the food! I don’t know if it’s a wasp or what. But I have never experienced this and it’s disgusting. Especially since it was marinating and floating in the sauce which we SMACK from. We tried calling the restaurant to figure out a solution, and they wanted to either refund for ONLY a pound of crawfish and return the rest OR return the rest that wasn’t eaten in return for another pound. Nonetheless if the food was touched, we NEVER should have gotten food with A BUG in it! They didn’t even apologize and didn’t offer compensation for the full order. Food was aight, service sucked. Save your $30 for a better seafood place with better service. What if it were a cockroach. 🤮

We’ve been regulars at Dilly’s for quite some time and usually enjoy coming here for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience tonight was not the best. We understand Fridays can get busy. We placed our order at 6:10 PM. One plate arrived at 6:55 PM — the chicken Alfredo my husband ordered — and it actually had great flavor. The server mentioned they were still working on my dish, and about 10 minutes later my plate (beef lo mein) came out. As soon as I took my first bite, I noticed the noodles were extremely overcooked — completely inedible. I let the server know; she apologized and offered a 10% discount. The plate was still full, but we’re not the type to send food back, so we accepted the discount, paid, and left. We’ve always enjoyed this place, which is why this was disappointing. Hopefully this was just an off night, but unfortunately it left a bad impression.
