Tokyo Mizu, formerly Take a Bao, offers a great AYCE experience with fresh sushi and a wide variety of options. The service is generally excellent, with special mentions for Burlyn, Maggie and Carolina. Some reviewers found the ramen and certain rolls lacking flavor.

It was my 1st time there and using an all you can eat menu. They were so sweet explaining it for me. Great food and service. Going back!
One of the best experiences I have had! The food and environment are amazing! Also with the best staff possible, Su is the greatest person ever! I loved talking to him. He made my entire day! Definitely recommend eating here with the family!
The shrimp fried rice was the best I had since I left st. Louis just do not full up the to go tray for that price and egg roll was crispy but crab lagoon was not so good
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed Tokyo Mizu! For $32.99, we got all you can eat sushi AND sashimi - and all the fish was extremely fresh and delicious. Our server Richie was very attentive and helpful with the menu, and all our food came out fairly quickly. Looking forward to coming back soon!
The food was really good, good portions and the price is unbeatable. We went for lunch and it was amazing. The service was great. Highly recommended. P.D. a big shout out to the Arlington PD that closed the exit on 360 on Saturday night (May 17, 2025) and my new GPS route was passing in front of Tokyo Mizu. 😁
I put in an order for pickup and it’s very easy to locate. When I walked in the atmosphere felt so calm and relaxing. The service that I got was short but very welcoming. The food was delicious. I didn’t take a picture of what I got because I’ve been craving sushi for a while and this place satisfied it. I will definitely be back with my husband and actually sit at the restaurant.
I dined in recently and it was such a good experience! the food and staff were amazing! there’s so much variety I’ll definitely have to go again to try everything I wasn’t able to try the first time around! :)
First time trying ayce sushi, was a little unsure apprehensive. The fish quality was good, fresh. Ordered different roles and a few cold plates. Drinks were pretty good. They also had boba I got the Thai tea, hit the spot. Service fast, orders were out quick. Ambiance was cute we went for date night. Good sushi at an affordable price. Would go back again!
Always had a great time there the dozen or so time I have been here. Wait staff are polite and the food is great. 👍👍👍
The atmosphere was fantastic, good level of music but not too loud where you can’t hear someone across from you. The food was excellent and came out quickly (Props to the chefs) And as for service… Hannah was amazing! She was funny and helped with our first experience here! Great customer service. I would definitely find myself coming back here!
I had an amazing experience at Tokyo Mizu, and a huge part of that was thanks to Carolina. She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and takes pride in what she does. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, and her recommendations were spot-on. Carolina made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable, like we were being taken care of by a friend. If you're thinking about visiting Tokyo Mizu, I highly recommend it and if you're lucky enough to have Carolina as your server, you're in for a great experience!
This place amazing! I ordered from the AYCE menu, and everything came out fresh and delicious. There was a variety of sushi dishes and appetizers to choose from the menu. Kevin and Emily are wonderful owners who care deeply about their restaurant and it shows in who they hire as well. Richie, our server, made sure we had the best time we could. I will be coming back and highly recommend everyone does as well.
Full menu with so many choices of sushi, foods, appetizers and more. Delicious. Must go on an empty stomach. Lunch was $22 all you eat in portions. Will go back again. Service was excellent
The sushi here is well worth the price. I've been to quite a few AYCE sushi places but this one felt like I was getting actual value for what I paid. The sushi had a good ratio of fish to rice and everything tasted really fresh. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when I went and Maggie was very quick to refill our drinks and take our orders down. Overall the place was cute and the food was bomb, definitely check it out when you can!
Some of the best all you can eat in town! The pork dumplings were incredible. My server Richie was so kind and accommodating, definitely ask to be seated in his section if you get the chance. I have a feeling I’m going to become a regular at this place!
This place is the best. The food is amazing! My server Richie is so kind and brought out my food in a timely matter. The pork dumplings are a 10/10 and the sushi is amazing and fresh. Best all you can eat in town!!!
To contrast some of the reviews I’ve read before going here. The small portions are the point!!! You can explore so much of this menu before getting full with this approach. If you find something you really like, just get more of it. It’s all you can eat! Also, the cocktails are surprisingly good!!!
Wow! Excellent place to eat sushi This was the first time I ate all you can eat I gotta tell you.I pretty much got the whole menu.Everything was so good! I highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌🏼 I was so into the food that I even forgot to take a picture 😂
First time eating here and I was met with warm greetings from the host and waitress. The food was good and fresh! I will definitely return when I'm in the area! 5 stars!
We found our sushi spot in Arlington! The food was great and did not take long once ordered! The all you can eat menu has a great variety for everyone to enjoy including our kids! Our server Shawn was very attentive and patient with our big group of 10!!! We got to meet the lovely owner Kevin and he was very friendly and happy to hear that our big group was satisfied with everything we tried. Definitely going to visit again! Thank you Tokyo Mizu for the awesome food and service!!!
I have been in a few like restaurants so, while the food was very good and fresh, nothing stood out, except for the white yellowtail (or was it tuna 🙂?) which was extremely tasty. I could not try everything because I was full so I might miss a few things.
Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it was a hit! From the friendly staff to the prompt service and welcoming atmosphere, it was the perfect quiet and peaceful space to recover after a long day at the water park. All you can eat for $30-ish seems like a steal, and the food is fresh and delicious. I was only able to eat about half of what I wanted to try, so I can't wait to go back! My favorite of the plates I tried were the tuna sashimi and the bulgogi bao. I would honestly eat just that and be happy, but there are so many other menu items that I want to try as well. Definitely recommend.
Boyfriend and I came here to celebrate a peaceful evening together, we were welcomed immediately by our hostess, and greeted by our server, ✨Jesus✨, with exceptional courtesy in catering to us and the surrounding parties. Going into our food, we enjoyed the plethora of choices in appetizers and entrees! From miso soup to salmon roe, I tried not to eat with my eyes! If you think about coming here, you will not be disappointed. The experience was a night to remember for sure! Also, Six Flags is right across the street lol
My boyfriend and I went there on Thanksgiving day because it was the only place that was open close to our hotel. I’m so glad we did! Food was very good. Service was outstanding! Even though they were very busy, we still felt well taken care of. Most places that busy probably would have turned us away but they didn’t. Please support this business!! You won’t be sorry.
Had a wonderful experience. Everything was delicious and we’ll definitely be coming back. Reading the reviews about small portions. I’ve gone to plenty of ayce and feel like this was no different. I actually prefer the portions not be huge so you are able to try more without getting too full. I also feel like the staff were great and the atmosphere was very nice
This was my first time trying fresh sushi. I love that they provide smaller portions so there's no waste. It was overwhelming, for sure, because the buffet option allows you to try everything on the menu. I highly do NOT recommend the octopus balls! The cowboy and intimidation (probably not the name but is fried) are super good! I also wish they had symbols to indicate the items that are bragged about. If the menu has that, I missed it. I'm definitely going back to take my daughters. The price is very affordable, which shocked me! They do have a waste charge, so don't go crazy and order up a lot of stuff and not eat it. Edited to add: today (Sunday) I took my daughters for our monthly outing to Tokyo Mizu but wanted to spend a little less so decided to go for lunch. Well... they charge only for the dinner price on the weekends regardless of what time you go. I didn't know because we've only gone at dinner time until now.
Stopped by for a quick lunch! My first time trying this place and it definitely met all my expectations. The service from all the employees was 10/10 my server Carolina was very attentive and soo sweet!!! Food came out very fast and everything DELICIOUS!! I had the tonkotsu ramen 🍜 and a lousiana roll. I WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING FOR THE BUFFET WHEN I HAVE MORE TIME.
This was my first time coming since Tak a Bao left. I think it's the same family or company that runs it. I love the new concept of all you eat sushi 🍣. The waiter was great and was able to check on all tables and let me know on time of food. It's like sample size of sushi that you can get it's usually between 3 to 4 pieces. Everything was fresh. The price is not bad lunch is 20.00 that's from 11 to 3pm and dinner is 30.00 it starts at 5pm. They are closed between 3 to 5pm.
No more driving to Carrolton or NRH to get our sushi fix!! We are thrilled Tokyo Mizu is close to home and sushi is delicious! Our favorite dish is the roast pork entrée, baos, and of course the sushi rolls especially the angry dragon one. We love they offer crème brûlée. The dishes are small and there’s a 5 order limit per person per round. So if you have more than 3 people you might want to double order so everyone can share. The service is great, everyone is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommended!
Tokyo Mizu is a must-visit and my new favorite all you can eat sushi restaurant! The decor at Tokyo Mizu is so cute. The "Rice to meet you" sign in their entryway is the perfect place for pictures. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making sure our dining experience was smooth. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The highlight, of course, is the sushi! The selection is impressive, ranging from classic rolls to unique creations. The Paradise Roll and the Tokyo Mizu Roll were my favorites as well as the Yakult Fizz drink! The variety on the menu is impressive, ensuring that there's something for everyone. Tokyo Mizu is definitely worth a visit!
I genuinely loved the flavors and drinks. Though the bartender left after our first drink which dampened the experience a little, but look forward to giving it another try. The food had a variety of flavor in each dish and seemed looked very appetizing.
Good food, great quality. We're from Idaho and this was a nice little find. Wasn't sure what to expect. Their friendly staff and quick service sealed the deal here. I left a larger than normal tip cause I enjoyed it so much. Quantities were perfect so we could try everything. Thanks guys
Amazing place all in all. The service/entire staff is exceptional and the food was amazing quality. All you can eat portions are smaller, but it leaves you the room to try out a larger variety. Their butterfly infused tea is super tasty. And, their sushi and all the sushi related items are really good. Worth repeating.
This place was great! Fantastic quality for ayce sushi dinner; all of the dishes tasted fresh and the flavors worked well together. All of the employees were welcoming and seemed happy to be there. I would definitely come back here again!
Very cute place, and it's a good price for AYCE. Some of the best crab ragoons I ever had. Dumplings were pretty good (the potstickers seemed to have muted flavors). The cooked sushi was amazing! And the soba noodles were pretty good too. The ramen should be absolutely avoided. No flavor, overcooked noodles, overcooked eggs. Dessert was really good! My husband had the veggies from the spring roll and the ramen removed. His personal preference. Will 100% be back!
Was good. The ‘Tempation’ sushi was fantastic. The Karaage Chicken was a let down. Way too dry and stiff batter. But overall, still really happy and would return - I would just order more sushi!! Service was great - super warm hosts, happy to see me.
Amazing food all around. The service was excellent. This is an all you can eat Japanese restaurant, most of the menu is sushi but there are several other choices including fried rice, ramen and soba. If I could’ve had one of everything on the menu I would have. This is definitely a place we will be returning to!
Probably the best sushi place I have been to in quite some time. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi or food in general as they have an all you can eat option so you can try many delicious items for one great price. I added this place to my favorites list while I was being served. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tokyo Mizu on Lamar in Arlington, TX, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a welcoming atmosphere, but what truly made my experience unforgettable was my server, Daya. She was absolutely phenomenal, guiding me through my first visit with expertise and genuine care. Since it was my first time at Tokyo Mizu, I entrusted her with choosing my dishes, and she delivered on every recommendation. From the fresh sushi to the delicious Japanese appetizers, everything was spot on. Daya's customer service went above and beyond, making sure I enjoyed every bite. Her ability to tailor the dining experience and explain the menu in a friendly, approachable way truly set her apart. The restaurant itself, located in the former Take a Bao spot, has a cozy and vibrant feel, perfect for indulging in all-you-can-eat sushi or other made-to-order dishes. The staff was efficient, the food portions were just right, and the variety of offerings made it easy to try new things without feeling overwhelmed. If you're looking for high-quality Japanese cuisine with exceptional service, especially if Daya is your server, Tokyo Mizu is a must-visit in Arlington! Whether you're a sushi lover or just looking to explore Japanese cuisine, you'll leave feeling satisfied and well taken care of. Highly recommend!
This place felt like I was in sushi heaven. They have plenty of sides to choose from. You get to pick 5 items from the menu every time you order, and you can order as many times as you like, until you're full. I totally recommend especially the Ahi tower from the appetizers because that house sauce served with it tasted sublime. Plus it also came with some caviar. They have such a huge selection of sushi rolls to choose from that I was truly spoilt for choice. Plus, I might have been almost full already from the appetizers, lol. The staff were so friendly and helped me through the menu so I felt like I understood what I was ordering every time. The ambiance felt serene with nice music in the background, so I can guarantee you whether solo or in a group, it will feel great just to be in this place. All in all, I totally see myself returning many times, so I totally recommend this place!
We loved the all you can eat Japanese food for $29.99 for dinner. Has so many varieties from appetizers, dumplings, bao bun, seas salad, sushi, and ramen. For the all you can eat the food comes in half portions which is great so you can try more food. We definitely enjoyed the food especially for the price.
Tokyo Mizu is a great place to eat. The staff at the desk and the waiters/ waitresses are awesome. The all you can eat was amazing. I tried so many different things and each dish was really good. Can't wait to go back!
Took myself to lunch and had the best experience! I believe my waiters name was Jesus, he was amazing! Super attentive and had the best recommendations. I did the $19.99 lunch thing & I chose hibachi soup, bulgogi with fried rice, xiao long bao, Japanese croquettes, and the fried mantou. I forgot to get a photo of some stuff but everything was delicious and perfectly portioned. I already decided what I’ll be ordering next, so I can’t wait to come back!! I believe this is family owned and they care about food waste which I thought was amazing
Visiting the area and was near our hotel. The sushi cooked/raw options were delicious. We enjoyed the shrimp shumai, ragoons, and agedashi tofu. The shrimp ramen did lack flavor which led us to not order anymore entrees though. The crawfish sushi roll was good but just had too many onions. Could definitely go without the onions and mushrooms but thought it was nice try something different. Service was wonderful food came out fast, hot and fresh! We’ve already recommended to local family members. Great for date nights. $32 all you can eat pp
I stopped by Tokyo Mizu recently and was really impressed. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was quick and friendly. We barely had to wait for my food. The sushi was definitely a highlight. The salmon nigiri was buttery and fresh, and the yellowtail had that clean, delicate flavor that just melts in your mouth. I also tried the beef bulgogi bao bun and it was super flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Tokyo Mizu is a spot I’d happily come back to. Great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Also, wanted to mention our server Carolina was wonderful. If you’re able to get her as your server she’ll not let you down.
This place is good. Decent price. Good quality. No need to dress up. I would consider this place a week late lunch or dinner atmosphere. This is my second time visiting and I have nothing bad to say.
A great price for AYCE, great food, great service. The rolls I tried were delicious and it was nice to see the hold overs from take a bao (love the bulgogi). Carolina was such a sweet server and always kept our table clear. Can't wait to go back to try more!
Great place. Can do all you can eat or a la carte. Chose the all you can eat and the food was fresh, fast and so good.
After a great day at the local waterpark, my spouse and I decided to be spontaneous and try a spot we’ve never dined at before for a mid-afternoon lunch. We literally drove by, and immediately pulled in out of curiosity due to its relatively lowkey curb appeal. Inside, we were enthusiastically greeted by the co-owner and his friendly staff. The place is huge and immaculately clean. Our server was incredibly friendly, personable and made sure we understood the concept of ‘all you can eat from the menu.’ The vibe I got was Japanese-Korean-Taiwanese fusion and because of this, we wanted to try a little bit of everything. Sushi rolls, grilled mussels, sushi salad, crab rangoon, EVERY single dish we tried was piping hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. The portions were also perfectly sized so that you can share and try as much as you can off of the menu, (within reason of course.) And the Watermelon Fresca cocktail was delightfully refreshing and tasty. We will definitely be returning soon!
Wow... this place is AMAZING!! I would love to give more stars if I could! We got the all you can eat, which is NOT a buffet but you order your food and they make it as you order it. Everything was simply amazing 👏 🤩 the flavor, the presentation and the quality. I am very much impressed, I am not from the area but I assure you that I will definitely be coming back. This place should be famous! The best part is that all the food only cost $20!!!!!!!!!
Great first experience! 🌟 Friendly service. We saw other comments regarding portion sizes, but they were larger than at others. 🍽 Dining mid-week, with no major events was helpful...not busy at all! While this is all-you-can-eat, they offer an al a carte option. There's plenty of parking. 🅿️
Best Japanese restaurant i try and is all u can eat omg incredible and the best part my son is very happy 😁
Fresh and delicious handrolled sushi. We samples almost everything from the menu. They have a variety of traditional Japanese appetizers like takoyaki (fried octopus balls) and bao buns (white fluffy dumpling bread topped with beef and cilantro - my husband joked that it was a Japanese taco).. They also have some items that reflect their Texas location. They have fried stuffed jalapenos. The tempora calimari was large and fresh. We had so many different types of sushi rolls that I can't even name them all. Everything was good. I remember the Volcano rolls were tasty, but messy. I was eating so fast, I didn't get any pictures. My 11 yr old son at a dozen eel sashimi on his own. It was his favorite thing in the menu. My husband and I killed two bowls of sashimi. I enjoyed it all, but the smoked salmon was particularly tasty. The sashimi is served on a bed of ice with a fresh lemon wedges. The wait staff was amazing. We sent in order after order after order and he was prompt and friendly throughout it all. He kept my water full and I was thirsty after a long day walking around the nearby amusement park. My husband ended the meal with the creme brulee. They have tiramisu, ice cream, and a few other dessert options. If you have a friend that you would like to turn on to Japanese-American cuisine, this would be the place to go. The all-you-can-eat option allows for exploration. This setup allows for ordering small quantities of a menu item to decrease waste and get a taste of everything that would be too cost prohibitive if buying a la carte. We loved it. We left full. It was a good experience. Perfect for my family.
Tokyo Miz is a fantastic dining spot! The place is beautiful and impeccably clean, creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. The customer service is extremely appreciative and attentive, making you feel very welcomed. The shrimp fried rice is delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The sushi is amazing and incredibly fresh, making it a must-try. Overall, Tokyo Miz offers an excellent dining experience!
Had my first experience at Tokyo Mizu and I’m already planning my next visit! From the moment we walked in, our waitress Burlyn made us feel so welcome, I so appreciated it! If every restaurant had a “Burlyn” dining out would be a dream. She was warm, attentive, and just an absolute pleasure to be around. The sushi? Delicious. For just $19.99, the all-you-can-eat deal is a total steal. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. My personal favorites were the Salmon Lover, Hasu, and the Crawfish Dynamite each roll packed with flavor and overall delicious! I also tried the Butterfly Infusion Tea with mango and strawberry. It was sweet, refreshing, and super addicting (though fair warning, it might be a tad sweet for some, but it hit the spot for me). All in all, Tokyo Mizu just made it onto my list of go-to sushi spots. Great food, amazing service, and unbeatable value!
I was recommended this place by family who’ve have gone here multiple times since it’s opened! I had an outstanding experience at Tokyo Mizu in Arlington, Texas—definitely a 5/5 star experience across the board! The food was exceptional, with fresh, high-quality sashimi and fish that were made to order. Each dish was delicious, with perfectly sized portions that made it easy to enjoy multiple rounds (we ended up ordering FIVE!). The sushi and mantou were on par with what I've had in Asia—authentic and flavorful. Every bite was a delight, and you could really taste the care and quality in each dish. The service was equally impressive. We arrived around 5pm on a Friday, before the dinner rush, and were promptly seated. The staff was quick, attentive, and responsive to our needs. A special shoutout to Brittany for taking exceptional care of us—she was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our experience feel personal and welcoming. Her service definitely added to the overall great experience. The ambience was the perfect complement to the meal. The space is filled with beautiful Japanese artwork and aesthetic touches, from floral designs to elegant decor, creating a cozy, homey atmosphere. The vibe was warm, pleasant, and had a cheerful energy that made us feel right at home. It’s a place where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, Tokyo Mizu is a must-visit in Arlington. The combination of top-notch food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout spot. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Loveee this place!!! service and food was greatttttttt as well as presentation :) only thing that was subpar was the crème brûlée. :( but everything was amazing and I can’t waitttttt to go back !!
This place is an absolute gem! The food is outstanding—seriously some of the best I've had. The soba noodles are hands-down the star of the show: perfectly chewy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection every time. Whether hot or cold, they're incredibly satisfying and make you want to come back for more right away. What really sets this restaurant apart, though, is the incredible heart behind it. The owner and partners are genuinely kind, welcoming people who go out of their way to create an inclusive, positive environment. They treat their employees like family, and it's especially heartwarming to see how supportive and friendly they are to their disabled workers, giving them meaningful opportunities, respect, and encouragement every day. You can feel the good energy from the moment you walk in; the whole team is happy, hardworking, and it shows in the service and the vibe.If you're looking for delicious authentic soba (or other dishes) in a place that truly cares about people, this is it. Highly recommend—I'll be back often! Thank you for everything you do!
Can't wait to come back! The staff was very friendly. I have to commend Maggie for her great service. We were worried that we were ordering too fast but she got everything and even advised us. As far as what I would recommend, there are so many delicious things. The bulgogi bao, chicken karaage, caterpillar roll, and salmon roll were my favorites for the main portions. For extras, the raspberry butterfly tea, the coffee (or mango, if you prefer) mousse cake, and fried mantou were all delicious. The ranger roll was barbeque-y which was surprising but worked very well; just watch out if you have a poor spice tolerance. The only dish I didn't love was the croquettes only because I was expecting them to be saltier and it turns out I don't really like katsu sauce, which is on me.

Tokyo Mizu is a great place to eat. The staff at the desk and the waiters/ waitresses are awesome. The all you can eat was amazing. I tried so many different things and each dish was really good. Can't wait to go back!
I really only have a few things to say: Food is damn good and service is excellent (Burlyn was awesome). Had no idea this place was here, literally less than 10min from six flags. Sushi was EXCELLENT. Albeit a little pricey at $32~ per person at dinner (its all you can eat), it’s a great date night experience. Definitely coming back.
Nice all you can eat sushi spot. Not the best in DFW, but the service was fantastic, prices were good, and everything came out quickly and seemed fresh. I recommend the Mizu roll. The mango mousse cake was a great little palette cleanser to end with.
Cute spot with friendly staff. We did their lunch buffet. Price was decent but I wish their menu offered more. We tried their bulgogi bao bun (very good), chicken katsu (good but a little dry) pork dumplings (gross! Tasted like the pork was spoiled), ahi tower (presentation was so cute but the rice was a bit dry), eel nigiri (tasted a bit fishy and needed more eel sauce), beef fried rice (very tasty! Highly recommend), New York roll (good), and their caterpillar roll (good). Online had more dessert options but only fried mantou (just tasted like fried biscuit dough) and ice cream (typical ice cream) were available. Over all, great experience and will return to try other items.
This is an all-you-can-eat place. We were told that we can order anything from both sides of the menu, but they come in smaller portions. Our waitress brings everything to our table after we order it. She was great at explaining the process. I ordered Miso Soup, Fish Salad, Shrimp Spring Roll, Japanese Croquette, and several rolls like Salmon Skin Roll, Alaskan Roll, Tokyo Mizu Roll, Volcano Roll, and others. Overall, I really enjoyed everything. It's nice to try so much for $19.99. The only issue I had was that the Spring Roll skin was so sticky and it was hard to eat it because it was tearing apart due to sticking to the other half.

Food was so-so. Sauce did not complement the food. Some item had an odd favor to it. Waitress was nice and did a great job. Food came out quick.
Had no idea walking in this was an all you can eat place. Ordered thinking I was doing a la carte, but ended up getting the AYCE portions and just rolled with it for only $30. Fried pot stickers were the highlight for sure. Sushi was ok. The bulgogi and tonkotsu ramen were pretty disappointing. If you're in it for quantity over quality you won't be disappointed. It wasn't bad by any means, just wasn't great. The fountain inside needs topped off in the reservoir so it doesn't make as much noise, conversation would be difficult.
My family and I wanted to try an AYCE sushi without having to drive all the way to Japan House. I thought that the sunshine roll, dancing eel, and crazy salmon roll was super yummy and not a lot of rice! Their tokyo mizu roll is not that good. For a roll thats the name of the restaurant, the presentation was pretty low. What I thought was weird was that my ice cream was a little discolored? I realized that they pre-scooped the ice cream because in the picture I'm holding the bowl almost 90°/vertical and not even the bottom is moving. If the ice cream was fresh, the melted ice cream would pool towards the bottom, but it's still frozen! If the fish isn't that fresh, I at least wanted fresh ice cream! :c Their fried montou bread was good though. The service was great and the rolls were good, but the food just wasn't fresh. I may come back, but only for lunch because the AYCE dinner is not worth it.
Had lunch here, it wasn't too busy as more than half the restaurant was empty. Four to five were at the hostess stand, they confused as how to seat an odd number of people. Not where, based on waiter/waitress availability but one of the girls asked the guy at the bar & he told her where to seat us but that as just needed the five place settings/menus for our party of five. Food was okay. I totally understand the small plates, for an AYCE it prevents the waste of food for those who may be over indulgent or leave half eaten dishes due to not liking but wiling to try. - Buns were good, but they were out of the pork belly one. - Ramen was bland, the egg was overcooked. - Calamari, was good but some calamari plates were more salty than others. A nice serving size without skimping on calamari. - Potato croquette, nice crunch! - Various sushi, it was fine. - Fried rice was good, they were accommodating in making one with no vegetables for our picky eater. - Chicken karage... slightly overcooked. Our waitress seemed to be the only one on our side of the restaurant, she had about four or five tables maybe, other staff members did help being out the food. That being said I had to ask for a water refill three times, only got a refill once. I don't believe it's her fault, she just needed more help. Dishes come out hot, fresh, & fast. I do appreciate that the oil isn't dirty/overused for fried items. They were a light golden brown with a nice crunch & the batter stays on. Still needs improvement for staff support & training but I do want to say that everyone was extremely pleasant. The interior is beautiful inside & the price is fair. We may come back in a few months to try again.

First, the host at the front desk had a very poor attitude, which immediately set a negative tone. That said, our waitress was excellent, cheerful, patient, and very helpful when explaining the menu. She truly made the experience better. The menu has a wide variety, and overall the food quality was good. The tuna was fresh, the sushi rolls and rice were fresh, and the beef and pork belly buns were delicious—the meat was flavorful even though the buns were served cold. The crème brûlée was outstanding, easily one of the highlights of the meal. The main issue was that some ingredients had a strong refrigerator taste, particularly the avocado and pico de gallo used in certain items. Because of that, some dishes didn’t taste as fresh as they should have. I’d strongly suggest storing foods properly covered in the refrigerator to avoid this. One additional note: the tables were cleaned with Pine-Sol, which was very noticeable. Personally, I’m not a fan of that scent in a restaurant environment I prefer more neutral sanitizers like bleach, but that’s just my opinion. Overall, there’s good food here and real potential, but front-of-house attitude and food storage practices need improvement. With those fixes, this place could be much better.

Food was disappointing but service was excellent. I always wanted to experience the place and it was a little of a let down. Our server/ bartender did an excellent job!
The service was good. But the sushi was a solid 4/10. I felt like their menu lacked differentiation. We waited like 10-15 minutes for a roll/round. The creme brulee came out cold… which is not how crème brûlée is served. This fried chicken we ordered was literal Tyson chicken nuggets refried and came out hard as rocks. I won’t be returning.
Service: 4/5 We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were seated fairly quickly for a Thursday night dinner. Our server was great and efficient. However, we did have to ask for drink refills a couple of times. Ambiance: 4/5 The inside of the restaurant kind of reminds me of Japan House, but much nicer. However, the restroom was dirty, which was disappointing. Food: 2/5 I appreciate that they served the sashimi on top of a bed of ice because not many places do that anymore. I just wish they had placed it on top of a shiso leaf so the sashimi wouldn't get wet. The fish did not taste as fresh as I had hoped. Unfortunately, none of the appetizers left an impression. Overall, everything I ate was very underwhelming. I don't think I will be coming back.
rude staff. idk why but they spoke to me in a very condescending tone as soon as i walked in. like i was an idiot. like if you dont like your job dont take it out on me? never going back bc what was that? if i could leave 0 stars i would. as a revision: it was not your host. it was whoever handed me my food who made a condescending comment. but the way you all responded is interesting. it doesn’t matter if i was a customer or not. EVERYONE deserves basic respect. is it okay to look down on me because i am delivering food for your customers? personally i dont think so. the way you all responded was in very poor taste. and yes a “small interaction” can still be rude.
Honestly, I was disappointed with my experience here. The building is old on the outside but at least the inside looks nice. The food was decent but I had a problem with my service. The waiter barely came by to check on my family, and I had to ask them to refill our drinks multiple times. I also walked up near the kitchen to ask one of the employees where the restroom was and I saw one of them scoop up green onions with their hands (with no gloves) that went into the soup. Instead of my server actually serving us, I saw her instead on her phone in the corner of the restaurant. I wish I could say I had a better experience but I most likely will not be coming here again.
The servers were GREAT! VERY friendly! SERVERS ARE 5 STARS! I RATED THE SERVICE 1 STAR because the service starts at the KITCHEN. Why? Read below: The sashimi took 20 minutes for 1 order of 2 pcs!!!!! And this was not even during peak dining hours! It is NOT the servers’ fault, though. This is THE KITCHEN staff’s fault. When our server finally gave us the first order of sashimi, she even apologized & acknowledged that the sashimi took so long to prepare. With a 2 hour time limit for the AYCE, you don’t get bang for your buck because the sashimi takes so long to be served! This is not a place I would come back to, purely because of the wait time for the sashimi. Everything else was fine, but the kitchen takes so long to prepare the sashimi. If you’re a sashimi lover like me, you’d be upset at having to wait almost 30 minutes EVERY time you order sashimi. Plus, the max you can order at once is 5 orders (each order is only 2 pcs) of sashimi…. So you really end up waiting a long time. I’m even writing this review as I wait for my sashimi order LOL ALSO, the quality of the other dishes is lacking. The shrimp shumai looks like a deep fried mass produced frozen shumai with a tiny bit of shrimp. Not worth your money. Thumbs down.
I just tried their “ All you can eat Japanese cuisine” and their portion was way smaller and no taste at all, their salmon not tasty any other food was not authentic, even their ice cream was just water little bit vanilla🥲. Their waiters were good kind. Environment was so dark maybe its good for just drinking beer with friends, restroom lot of dusts, anyway this was my experience in here
Extremely rude… restaurant was 85% empty and they told us there is 40 minutes wait… we tried to to order a drink at the bar and bartender ignored us for 20 minutes. We did not say a word but we decided to leave on our way out we said to two hostesses that they were unpleasant and unprofessional on which they responded by making faces. This was at January 6. at 8:20 so I hope owners will check it. There is no wonder now why is that place almost empty.
We love all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi places and visit them regularly. Having tried several options in the DFW area, this one was unfortunately a letdown. While the food quality is good overall, the portion sizes and service leave a lot to be desired. If you enjoy sashimi or raw fish appetizers, be prepared for disappointment. The portions are the smallest we’ve ever seen—tiny, thin slices that feel more like samples than actual servings. After placing a few orders of sashimi or similar items, our waitress informed us they would "slow us down" on these items—a direct quote. Our second order of sashimi took over an hour to arrive, and our server avoided our table when we inquired about it. To make matters worse, there’s a 20-piece limit on sashimi per person, but the size of those 20 pieces would equal about 5–6 pieces anywhere else. The dessert was another letdown. The crème brûlée (limited to one per person) was so small it was laughable—a thin spread barely covering the bottom of the dish. In summary, the food quality is decent, but the portions are frustratingly stingy when it comes to the premium items, and the service needs improvement. The restaurant’s policy of slowing down customers on high-quality items is especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this isn’t a place we’d return to.
