one of my top shabu to eat the staff is really nice and welcoming. My favorite broth would be the TomYum for the price and AYCE hard to beat.

Wow. Really good shabu and grill here with very good service. All exceptional servers but Stephanie really took good care of us and went out of her way to explain menu options. You can do AYCE but they also offer premium meats here. Meat quality is definitely better than Broth or Dip competitors down the street. Tons of broth choices. Also they give you 3 dipping sauces. Goma, ponzu, and SACHA!!!!! (Taiwanese BBQ sauce) Be careful with spice levels. Personally I had no problems with spicy but I sat next to a couple that started whining about spicy being to spicy and sent back their broth. If you're not good with spice try medium first. Definitely my new favorite local shabu spot.

Had this twice in two weeks. I get the yuzu favorite with the $4 upgrade. It came out like a whole pound of meat. It filled me up. The veggies were fresh, the staff were helpful and super nice. I also added beef tongue and bacon wrap quail egg. Would definitely be back again.

Be ready to spend a bit more than other hotpot places, as it is quite pricey. But, you know what they say, "you get what you payed for!". Out of the three times i have been here the quality of the meat and soup are superb. I always order the pork bone broth as it has now become my favorite. I only had two different selection of meat and they were both good. Parking may be hard to find as there is a Gen kbbq and creamistry in the same plaza. The interior designer also did a good job. The Bar is separated from the dining area so noise level is controlled. The mid lane for the server is surrounded by a long U-shaped booth with burners for hotpot about every four feet from each other. The overall vibe of the place is amazing.

Great place for some shabu shabu. Staff is nice. Careful what time you go unless you want to wait. There is a bar while you wait.

The food was fantastic. We ordered the two for$65 dinner, pork bone broth medium spicy, with the premium beef and American wagyu. Lots of food. Staff was very helpful. The only thing is the Parking is Challenging

Took my two sons and they were pleasantly surprised with the food. Ordered the pork bone broth with Angus beef and korubu pork along with the big bowl of veggies and noodles. They definitely want to go back.

Came here Saturday for lunch. Not many people. The inside is cozy with decent amount of seating and the center is the U shaped dining. Three sauces: Taiwanese sacha, ponzu and sesame. They also gave green onions, garlic, radish. I went with the Yuzu special meal. Came with gyoza, rice, vermicelli, veggies and meat. Good portion, but I thought it was tad pricy, $38. I think $32 would be more fair. Had two chice for meat I went with wagyu. Could be more fatty. This was a bit too lean and when cooking it, the meat gets hard. Other than that the mild spicy pork bone broth soul was good and overall I liked the food. Special dessert for Valentine's Day. I got macarons. Found parking in other plaza, but in this plaza there was still some parking.

Excellent Shabu Taste & Experience. PROS: The staff was kind and patient. The menu was to the point, with many selections and items. The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. It was well organized, as it was brought out in pieces, with all the steps of Shabu. And top it off, the alcoholic beverages are great. CONS: As with any excellent and tasty Shabu establishment, be prepared to spend a pretty penny (save up), but that isn't to say it's not worth it. And, the parking can be a little busy given all the delicious restaurants nearby so just plan ahead and be patient. Will be coming back for another date night. Thank you for a lovely experience. 👍👍

First time ever trying shabu shabu, the option for all you can eat was the best for a first timer. Definitely go hungry because it's a lot of food. The spicy miso is a great base.

The foods good. Just try the broths before hand. I got the Miso soup and wasn't a huge fan. It does take a little bit of time for everything to cook but that's ok with the right company/pass-time. The service was pretty bad, our cups were empty for half the time we were there and we tried to call the employees but they never saw us. Maybe it was our fault, maybe it wasn't; we'll never know. I recommend this resturant because the food is great.

The food was excellent. I had oysters and pork bone broth soup with lamb. Service was a bit slow at first due to the amount of people eating, but the servers did their best to accommodate clientele, and were kind and helpful. I will definitely be dining here again.

Stopped by for outdoor dining when the craving for hot pot struck during the pandemic. They definitely take many precautions for the pandemic--staff wearing masks and gloves, plus temperature checks before you can be seated. Tables spaced well apart from each other so we felt distanced properly. Now, to the food! We started with an order of the lemon pepper wings, but to us the amount of the lemon-flavored seasoning and salt applied to the wings was WAY too high. I love big flavors so it's pretty rare that I say a dish is over-seasoned, but these wings absolutely were. However, the soup was a different story. Both my fiancee and I knew we wanted the wagyu beef, but we went different directions on the broth and it made all the difference. I went with the pork bone broth after asking our sever for his recommendation, and MAN am I glad I did. The combination of the very high quality wagyu beef with the super flavorful pork bone broth was super tasty. I went with the "spicy" option (level 3 out of the 4 spice options), and it definitely had a kick but not so much that I couldn't eat it--real nice, slow burn. My fiancee however went with the citrus konbu broth, and it was bland. Not like, kinda bland--super duper bland! She also went "medium" on the spicy scale (level 2 out of the 4 spice options), so I think that may have been a factor. Service was OK given how many customers they were trying to deal with, and their limited staff again due to the pandemic. If the wings had been on point I probably would have given this place the full 5 stars, but the wings and the pricing made me dock them slightly. But I'd definitely come back--that pork bone broth is gonna call my name again soon!

I had the pork belly with pork bone broth. I requested no noodles, rice, and taro but wanted extra vegetables. The server said she could not swap the noodles and rice for extra veggies but I could order a side of vegetables. I passed on paying for a side of vegetables. The food was flavorful and the service was good. I would come back for dinner.

We had an amazing first visit to Yuzu! Our waitress, Adrienne, was fantastic. She walked us through the menu, recommended the perfect broths and meats, and even explained each condiment and sauce so we could get the full experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The “Dinner for Two” was more than enough for the three of us to share. We came in on a Friday at 11:20 AM, and the service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and never rushed. Overall, delicious food, generous portions, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back! Update (11/16): Loved it so much after our first visit that I brought friends this time. We came around 3:30 PM and were seated about 30 minutes later. It may have been a staffing issue, but the service definitely felt less attentive later in the day. Ordering took quite a while, and it was difficult to flag down our server (the same one from our first visit). That evening, they closed at 5 PM and reopened later. While no one explicitly rushed us, the experience did feel a bit hurried compared to our first visit, which was much more relaxed and attentive. The food was still delicious and met our expectations, but based on this experience, I’ll likely stick to morning visits moving forward when service seems to be at its best.

Yuzu Shabu is on my rotation of locally frequented spots. The menu is a little daunting because there can be so many combinations to suit one's preferences. I almost always get the set menu of seafood: shrimp, fish, mussels, fish balls, with either konbu citrus or miso (last time i got them both mixed), the side bowl of vegetables has both bok choy and napa cabbage slices, enoki mushroom, squash, taro, your choice of udon or ramen noodles. This is enough for 2 to share, or in may case, leftover for lunch the next day. Meat set menu has thinly shaved beef ranging from 6 ounces to 10 ounces sizes. You can also customize the soup from mild to spicy and explosively spicy levels, I prefer to stay on the non spicy level for shabu shabu. They have a lunch special AYCE option.

There is a reason why BROTH Shabu has a 2 hour wait time on a Friday night and this place is wide open. First off, we sat at 8:30 for AYCE, and our server told us last call for meat was 9? LOL. We ordered immediately and the first round of food didn’t come til 8:55. So we of course were a bit worried we wouldn’t get to take advantage of the AYCE. Meat is the same quality as the other AYCE options for double the price. Premium menus is a scam for AYCE. The “Wagyu” is as tough as eye round. They say “oh it’s the end of the slab of meat, that’s why it’s like that” If you get different meat options (ex. lamb, belly, brisket, wagyu), they pile it all on top of each other so it’s difficult to separate or identify which meat is which. If you get specific vegetables for each individual at your table, they just pile it all into one bowl. The numerical value you put on the order sheet is irrelevant. They put as much or as little as they feel. Water tasted like dish tap. Buddy said his lemonade had a funk to it. Getting any service feels like you are bothering them. Any order took 15-20 minutes to arrive, whether it was meat or noodles. Just an overall lame experience.

The food quality—specifically the vegetables and meat—was excellent. There was a good selection of sauces, and the broth was well-seasoned. However, my girlfriend and I had to deal with constant fruit flies; there were at least five or six hovering around our food the entire time. We weren't the only ones affected, either; I noticed children at other tables swatting them away as well. The service was also hit-or-miss. While one of the servers was very attentive and answered all of our questions, another waiter was preoccupied with his laptop, forcing me to ask a server from a different section for help. We both chose the "premium" option at $48 per person, bringing our total to $105. For that price, I think you’d find a much better experience in K-town. We likely won't be returning.

Ate here on a Tuesday and there was nobody else besides us and the employees. We got the premium AYCE option, and overall it was a very mediocre experience with too high of a price. For the price of the premium menu, there are much better options around. The good: The premium shabu-shabu meats are very good quality, and the sauces are tasty! Service was quick, and the employees are nice. The bad: The veggies are not fresh. Most "green" veggies were yellow, and mushrooms tasted off. The grilled meats are VERY small portions.

When it was a good it was a good but the bad was really bad. I used to to go here regularly even though it could be hit or miss in terms of flavor as it was mostly really good but there were a few really bad experiences. The first happened when we ordered takeout and something smelled like sour cream but we didn’t check the food until we got home. When we opened up the boxes we were disgusted to find someone’s left overs from a different restaurant as well as items missing. It was super gross but for some reason we went back after a few months. Going back was not the move. There was a worm in my food. I let the server know and she brought it to the attention of a manager. He told me it was from the vegetables and not from the broth. No apology nothing. We paid full price and left since I lost my appetite. I didn’t go back again for over half a year but finally gave in and went back a few times with different people. The service was never great but it was fine. The last time I went I was with two other people and it seemed like my broth wasn’t getting hot after about 40 minutes we flagged someone down and asked them to check. Turns out they never turned my burner on. For reference it was on the other side of the bar so I couldn’t control it myself. That was the final straw. I used to recommend this place all the time but I can’t anymore. Too many mistakes for broth that may or may not be good.

Dirty seats and trash all over the places. Food is horribly cut, different sizes of tofu and carrots. Overpriced for the level of service, cleanness, and quality of food. Everything unorganized, the online and all things describing are different then the vibe you feel in the restaurant …

H

It felt like I was on a prank show where the servers are purposely trying to make me angry for the cameras or something. Random things on our order form were just ignored. Things we verbally ordered were ignored. Servers disappearing for long periods in the kitchen. The table next to us sat and waited and when the guy came out and asked them 'Would you like another round of meat' they angrily responded that they were still waiting on their first. I would absolutely love to watch someone have this restaurant experience on TV. I would laugh and laugh at the patrons sitting there waiting while the staff laughed in the kitchen while watching the monitors. Paying $40 a pop for the experience is definitely not worth it.

Food was great but service was not even worth mentioning. We arrived ahead of 15 other people that arrived after us. Sat down and placed our ALL YOU CAN EAT shabu shabu order. The 15 other people got their food before us and when my dad asked what happened. Server told us "we were back logged and there's only one person in the kitchen." Well, we were there first, how did OUR order got back logged?

My friend and I arrived to this place on a Saturday. There were only two servers working on this day. One of the servers told us the wait was going to be 15 minutes, however 35 minutes passed and there was still no sign of us being seated, or served. Later, I approached one of the waiters and she explained she needed to clean the tables before seating us, although there were plenty of empty seats! Then, We were asked to wait another 20 minutes! So be aware and expect to wait a long time to be seated, even if the place looks empty! Expect a lousy service and a long wait regardless. This place is way understaffed for the amount of customers they get in a daily basis.

M
Michael Gonzaga

Got there and was seated right away at 7:35 ish pm. At 8:30 pm the staff started cleaning up the place and not letting anymore customers in. mind you they dont close untill 10pm. The whole place started smelling like cleaning products because they were cleaning the floor and the tables. They were even spraying clorox on the tables without removing the clean soup spoons, napkins, and chopsticks. Wasn't a nice experience

Generally I give places an automatic 1 star for charging to split a meal but the waitress let us know while ordering. We don't eat much so paying double for a single serving is unreasonable. My wife asked for their most girly drink and got a $10 drink that tasted like a lemon peel... Also, after a 40 minute wait we just had to seat ourselves instead of being alerted like we should have been.

T
Tyler Jara

So to start, everything seemed great, we placed our initial order of drinks and broth without issue. The broth came out promptly. We did the premium all you can eat and after our first round of meats and veggies came out, still no drinks. We ordered a couple hot teas. I asked about the drinks and they told me they were cleaning the tea cups. Okay that's fine maybe I'm just being impatient or they only have a couple sets of teacups for some reason. We are close to done with round 1 at this point and have put in a second round of orders which happened to be last call. This time they slowly brought the items out 1 by 1 and eventually stopped and we didn't even get everything we asked for. We still never got our tea so I flagged someone down because I never saw our initial waitress again after placing our broth order (they had her cleaning other tables instead of servicing us). I told the gentleman that we never received our teas that we ordered and he said sorry and that he would go get it. A minute later he comes and sets down one cup of iced tea even though we ordered two hot teas. These were a couple small annoyances and can be understandable if they are busy or something, but unfortunately it was not busy as we had no wait and there were open tables. They dropped off the check at some point and said no rush take your time, then came back less than 10 minutes later and said hi can you close out your tab please we are shutting down the register. So I said oh okay and pulled out my card and gave it to her before realizing I am paying for the drinks we never even received as I'm still just eating and enjoying my time with my girlfriend. What really did it for me though was a few minutes after bringing my card and check back, a girl that wasn't our initial waitress comes up and says "excuse me I'm not trying to be rude, but we did close 13 minutes ago" I was surprised by this because I had even checked online and they were listed as being open until 11:00 on a Saturday night (until they saw my yelp review which has since been filtered away because yelp is a shady company) and I checked my phone when she said this and it was 10:43. I was pretty fed up with how the night was going at this point and said "sure no problem we'll leave" because at this point there was really no saving the experience. I paid a premium AYCE price and for drinks we never received, never got some of the things we ordered, felt rushed by being asked to pay now after being told to take my time, and then being basically shooed out of my meal because their hours are listed incorrectly online. I have come a few times before the pandemic and had good experiences but the customer service was not great this time and really ruined the mood when I was paying for premium AYCE trying to take my girlfriend out for a nice dinner. I will look for somewhere else in the future.

The food was actually good. The service however, was complete trash. I don’t know who our server was, never saw the guy who started our order ever again. Trying to get more water or even to order more food was a huge hassle, especially for the server whose friends were sitting at the table next to us. We asked her for help and she had a huge attitude, and the other servers seemed upset that we would ask for more water or more anything - we were paying for premium all you can eat... definitely didn’t get as much food as I would’ve wanted to because when we tried to order more it never came. Had to ask 3 different people for a check, then waited another 20 minutes for someone to take the check - because I finally decided to wave it in the air. I don’t care how good your food is, if you treat your customers like they aren’t good enough to eat the food they pay for, you don’t deserve to have customers. Will NEVER go back.

Awful service. The smallest size of sashimi pieces i had ever seen. The boy who served us was not even to the legal age to serve alcohol. he left the bottle unopened on the table and the owner told me it was on us to open the bottle!!! They offered us to drop some items from the bill but as soon as they took our cards, they charged us in full amount. We disputed the charge through our bank.

So disappointed. This place used to be THE SPOT. SO GOOD. Now it’s always something with them. Have tried to randomly force the a cart menu on us. It says they close at 10 online. Drove 30 minutes to get there at 7:52 and they tell me last call is 8pm? And it was 62 degrees in there and they claimed it was because the AC was off. No wonder they’re so empty. Drove across to BROTH which is PACKED with people and with friendly staff.

Been a customer forever. Impromptu decided to drive 15 min there for lunch. Even though I’m fully vaccinated, but didn’t have “proof” to their satisfaction, was not allowed in. Yuzu… you lost a customer and any other customer I would recommend and perhaps will now lose some business because of this. Good job and good luck .

First and last time here.. our drinks were served in chipped and broken plastic cups, different sizes even! The water tasted like dishwashing liquid so I got a lemonade and that also had a slight soapy taste. When I was served the vegetables I discovered a large slug crawling in it. They took it away and the server was extremely apologetic and gave us a 20% discount on our food. He was very nice but overall just an awful experience and super expensive for such low quality food, etc..

Slow, very slow. We got the $48 per person premium and the meat took almost 15-20 minutes to come out. RAW meat. The veggies and even GRIlLED meat came out first before our meat. Very dissatisfying having to wait so long to eat when paying that much. The height of the counter with the chairs are very uncomfortable so heads up. Overall, I advise you to stay away. If your going to pay that much, go somewhere else worth that money.

The soup is good, but I feel so disappointed with the service of one employee. A few hours ago, around 9:45 pm on June 12, 2021, I went to eat with my family and we were one of the last ones. So, when we were done and we were waiting for our change, one young male waiter approached our table and he asks if "is it ok to pick up the dishes?"... we said, "it is fine". ... and he starts cleaning up the dishes splashing liquids on my son's jacket. I asked him "Do you see what are you doing?'.... He did not respond and continue splashing the food all over the table. This time my arm got duty by liquid ... I told him "look at this, you better stop" ....He said "I am sorry" and he continues splashing the food. I was so close to screaming at him but my wife asked me not to do it. So I did not say anything. This is the worst restaurant experience ever. We are no asking for charity here. We are paying for the service so better treat right your customers because we work so hard for our money too.

I was highly disappointed during my first visit to this place. I was there on 5/23/22, at about 730pm. Under the Quick Menu options, I ordered the Vegetarian while my nephew ordered the All You Can Eat. I was told that everyone in the group had to order the All You Can Eat option because it made "It easier for them." I informed her that I do not eat meat, she did not seem to care. The menu nor the restaurant lists any disclaimers about this silly policy. I have never been told that everyone in my group had to order the same thing. As a customer I should not be informed of what I should order because of what is "Easier for them!" Highly unprofessional, unethical and simply improper. Now I see why there was no wait! Lazy staff. Try BROTH next time! No childish policies!

I don’t know what is up today, it’s like my third or fourth time back in this place. First, talking about the food, the menu changed, so many of the “preieum” menu stuff were upgraded to “reserve” menu which make you pay like 20 bucks more. The takoyaki was still frozen inside, some of the grill food were burned, the seafood tastes kind of weird, the meat was ok. As for the service, there were 2 people serving us, one younger guy and an older guy. The older guy lead us to our seats, the younger guy ask what we want to eat. We said we want the premium menu, there was no water, no sauce, not even a bowl was brought to us. And they didn’t treat everyone the same because the group in front of us was well served and as for the group that came after us. They didn’t give us the paper to check to order more things, and we had to ask them for it. They keep the paper after the first order and we have to ask for it again. It took quite long for them to bring the food up too. I don’t think I’ll visit again.

The food was very delicious. The service was awful. It wasn’t busy & yet everyone was being served but my group. We couldn’t get the attention of any servers. We got our hot pots & veggies. After waiting for quite some time, a server came to ask if we needed anything else. It was a silly question considering we were all missing just about the entire meal. We were never given our meats, never given condiments, or drinks. My first time at this restaurant was a pleasant experience. This most recent visit, I did not feel comfortable or welcomed. I won’t be returning & I do not recommend.
