The menu is available on the website: https://www.iqrmenu.it/new/OcheRosaChieri The restaurant is in a great location (near the hospital, the Duomo, the shopping street, and—what's more—the base of Chieri's triumphal arch). For lunch, I had meatballs with peas, carrots, and potatoes, and sweet and sour artichokes as a side. At the cashier, I noticed that the bill was €9 (that is, the price of the meatballs alone). Worried it was a mistake (the artichokes, €3-4, were missing), I mentioned it to the waiter, who, with a wink, acknowledged me, keeping the price at €9 (see receipt). If you're in the area, I recommend it, both for the excellent outdoor seating, the small dining room, the helpful staff, and the quality of the food. I was even able to take two take-out coffees to the hospital.

Questo bar si trova in un angolo molto carino della via centrale chierese immerso tra vasi di piante e fiori che creano un'atmosfera davvero bella. Personale attento e gentile.

Food was not fresh or freshly prepared. Bread arrived when our meal was almost finished. Apérols were served in tiny glasses composted to the other customers. Good location.

Non buona esperienza. Provata caffetteria nuova per recensioni varie. Atteso a lungo l'arrivo di una cameriera, sollecitata perché stava per servire altri commensali giunti dopo. Di primo acchito percepito cattivo olezzo dal tavolino, lavato con panno evidentemente già puzzolente. Poi, ordinata cioccolata calda densa e dolce più un the classico. Difficoltà nel comprenderci sull'ordinazione. Arrivata cioccolata semi densa, non dolce, ma comunque gradevole e senza grumi. Il the invece era particolare e non classico. Inoltre non portato un solo sacchetto di zucchero, che non è un optional ma deve essere consegnato insieme a vari tipi di the a scelta del commensale. Nessun biscotto dato extra, come invece fanno altri. Questo minimalismo non va bene. Il locale era gremito e molti erano conoscenti del gestore, ma in ogni caso, giacché chiunque entri è un cliente, il trattamento deve essere identico. Un avventore nuovo scontento non torna più. Pagati 7 €. Onestamente: troppi. Un the 3 € e senza zucchero libero è troppo. Che sia centro di Chieri o no, la sostanza non dovrebbe cambiare, se non in meglio.

Avrei voluto poter valutare il ristorante ma non ce l’hanno permesso perché per fare due caffè non sono bastati 30 minuti. Arriviamo che le brioche erano belle esposte, ma fra l’attesa e la precedenza data alla gente al banco ora di servirle non erano più disponibili. Servizio terribile sconsiglio!

Today is the San Martino Fair. After browsing the stalls, my husband and I decided to stop here for an aperitif. Bad idea. The place has both an indoor and outdoor area. Today was a beautiful day, so we leaned over to the counter and asked if we could sit outside. "Sure, come on in," they replied. We sat down at a table that still needed clearing and waited. No one came... and we waited... no one was in sight... My husband returned to the counter and asked if anyone would come to take our order. He was told, "Sooner or later, either the boy or the girl will arrive." My husband returned to the table. We waited. No one. Meanwhile, we looked around. All the tables were served. The table next to us was complaining because neither the second glass of wine they'd asked for nor the crostini to accompany the other appetizers had arrived. Well... I looked at my watch. We'd been sitting at that table for 15 minutes and no one from the place had shown up. My husband and I got up and left. If I had to decide who to give my money to, I definitely wouldn't leave it in a place where the service was completely lacking and where the focus was on quantity rather than quality. This fair in Chieri happens every year, and it's not a stretch to figure out that to accommodate the increased number of patrons, you need to hire one or two extra staff. I understand having a little patience because it's crowded, but I find it shameful that in 15 minutes no one has come to the outdoor area, even to show up.

A terrible experience. I've been here several times and have always been happy with the service. Today I ordered a cappuccino and they brought me a cup of bitter, stale coffee with cold milk. I very politely sent it back and was served a worse one. I decided not to drink it and never ordered again. Out of nowhere, the waitress brought me another cappuccino without having ordered it and with a surly attitude... at least this time the cappuccino was drinkable. At the cashier, they asked me to pay triple the price by mistake. They corrected the mistake and gave me the correct receipt, but the change was wrong. In the end, I left without further criticism because I didn't feel like it. I don't know if I was just having a bad day, but it was awful.
