The food is always great. Chicken, ribs...and don't forget the special green sauce.
Best peruvian food in Astoria, the green sauce is a must have.
Love coming here for lunch with I work. They give you a lot of good for the price. There are other chicken spots like this in Astoria but this one is the best, for sure!
Yummy chicken. Went for lunch and had a quarter backed chicken with rice , beans, and a small salad for 7.25. It was good especially the green sauce. It's a good lunch spot.
I love this place. I have tried a few items but my favorite is the fried rice. And definitely don't forget the green sauce. A must!!!!
The food was great. You must get the extra green sauce and if you love spicy get the red too it makes the food extra delicious 😋.
Idk what mike is babbling about but I've been hooked every day me & my mother, love the rotisserie, tasty and filling, small business, true astoria clasic.
Love the Chaufa special house fried rice and rotisserie chicken! Flavorful and worth every penny! Don't forget the extra green sauce too!
Great place to take out delicious chicken at a good price. Staff is always friendly.
Loved the food! Had to leave a review and let everyone know. Chicken and ribs are perfect. I'll be back!
Great tasting food at a good price. Can be a little salty sometimes. The green sauce is the best.
Prices are super high. So barely go here now but the food is delicious just the prices now are very high.
Won't know by the exterior, but one of the best rotisserie chicken and fried rice place in the area.
My go to place for authentic Peruvian rotisserie chicken! The best!!
Yummy!
I always have the tallarin lomo saltado (noodles and salted beef stir fried with veggies), and don't forget to get the GREEN SAUCE it's sooooo delicious! The prices are very good and they give you a large amount of food. The service was fine when I went.

Best peruvian chicken in Queens in my opinion! The ribs are to die for and the green sauce is the icing on the cake. Must try ! It doesn't look like a fancy place but the food is so good. Hopefully they renovate one day to make the place the complete package.
The chicken noddle soup will fix whatever ails you! The best chicken soup in Astoria!
their chicken is super juicy and the pork fried rice has a huge service of pork !! the lady was so nice to give me lots of green sauce :) so sad about the lower ratings but it really is good here and probably worked hard to improve
Rotisserie chicken with fried rice is my favorite! The steak lomo is just as great!! Have been going here for over 15 years !!
I've also picked up, haven't dined in as of yet. But the food is delicious I've tried 80% of the menu their food is my comfort food lol. I definitely recommend you trying it if you haven't already.

Get your peruvian chicken fix here! There is ample seating in the back, no table service but it’s all good. Bathroom is also available for customers.
Good tasting chicken very similar to caravan chicken. However, service needs a lot of improvement. Friendliness is not that hard!!
The chicken was delicious by far one of the best Peruvian chickens I’ve had in a long time.
Good chicken and fried rice, haven't tried the rest of the menu but I'm pretty sure its all good.
The food is great not SALTY like other rotisserie chickens.
Good food. Their prices recently went up a lot so that was a bit annoying. And a lot of the times it's hard to reach someone to place an order. But overall a good place for a quick meal
Very good food but a bit pricey. I guess with the price increase of most food products today, and rent, someone has to pay and it typically falls on the consumer.
Food is very flavorful. Don't care too much for the chicken, but the lomein is really good. Green sauce is really good too. Just make sure to have some gum or mint handy for the after taste.
Chicken is fantastic, may occasionally be dry, but always delicious. The fried rice is flavorful and better than some of the Chinese take out places around the area.

I liked the prices here and the food is good. You get a good affordable meal at this restaurant.
Food is good but prices change to higher with same or lower amount of food. And they lazy at picking up their phone either it rings until VM or goes to the line being busy. It sucks because food is tasty but questioning about is it worth the price?!

This place was good long time ago, but now the chicken not taste good like before, I know everything is expensive now ,but if the food is good is not a problem pay the price, but in this case is not the same taste. I hope you back with the flavor .
I'm very confused as to why there are good reviews, but then I realized it's mostly from the local yts. I've lived in the neighborhood for years and the chicken used to taste so good (rice wasn't the best), so I gave it a try after a couple of years. Twice I ordered for pickup this year so far, and the food isn't good. Every time I order from any Peruvian rotisserie restaurant/takeout, I always order the whole chicken and fried rice. The rotisserie chicken is extremely dry, small and it tastes nothing like Peruvian chicken, and the rice is fresh but ok (just rice with meat and a bunch of scallions and onions)-- which anyone can easily make at home. The ribs barely have any flavor, but the only thing I can definitely say was really good is the green sauce they have. Caravan Chicken over at Broadway and 35th street definitely wins by a landslide

Good food, but customer service is horrible. The girl has a very bad attitude and argues with the costumers. Besides the two times I have gone with service to go the food was incomplete.
This place before the pandemic had delicious food, great service and the food amount matched the price. Now the food tastes horrible and the prices have tripled and they give you less food.
If you have to ask me if I need a fork, knife, or spoon 😒... how the hell else am I suppose to eat the food? Chicken was never great (imo) and still isn't. She helped remind me of the many reasons why I stopped spending my $ here. Thank you lady!
Waste of money asked for rice and beans with chicken, got maybe a couple tea spoons of Campbell's beans and some white rice with a chicken thigh 13$ rip off never again
DON'T EVER EAT THERE! I ordered food and while sitting in the back waiting for it, I watched a mouse run across the restaurant. I obviously left and on the way out I noticed they hid their "B" rating in the restaurant. It was supposed to be posted in the front the window.
Owner raised prices way too high ! You can eat at a nice restaurant with bigger portions for the new prices. Lost a family of customers !
Please be aware. The worst food poisoning we've ever had!! If I could give them zero stars, I would.
They sky rocketed the prices. What usually cost me 16$ a plate now cost $20. Used to go here for years…Going to go to Urubama in Jackson heights from now on.
The chicken used to be well done cooked. The chicken was raw the last 3 times I ordered it. I won't come back
ordered maduros 1hr before closing why is it BURNTTT😭 chicken was good but tasted like standard costco rotisserie

Found a COCKROACH in my plate. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. Never coming back.
So, I was craving a really good chicken noodle soup. I’ve done some scrubbing the inter webs about it and I’ve found out this Peruvian place that a bunch of people are raving about, especially for the soup. So went there and it looks old, dingy and desolate diner. I say great, usually these places are awesome for old school fares and Peruvian chicken is usually amazing. I ask the counter lady about the chicken soup and after looking at me like I’ve asked to buy her in exchange for a camel and a bag of rocks. She goes to the kitchen and ask the cook IF they had chicken soup, which after murmuring for a few second among themselves, she informs me they do. I order 2 large soups (26 bucks!!!!) and I wait. And wait. And wait a little more. After 15 minutes I ask if it would take much longer to heat up a couple of cups of soup and she proceed to explain that they were making the soup right now “a la minute”. Now, it’s e been a chef for only 30 years so I can’t really assume to know everything about chicken soups, but this is the very first time that I’ve ever heard that it should be prepared from scratch at every order. So I keep waiting patiently while the cook sends his/her help to the back to fetch a bunch of ingredients. Meanwhile there are other people coming in, ordering and leaving with their food. After 25 minutes I’ve been handled this couple of jugs of steaming soup. I take them home and can’t wait to dig in what surely must be the most delicious soup in the hood. Suspense It was the crappiest soup I had since I had as in the navy in italy. Haphazardly chopped semi cooked veggies swimming in a neon colored liquid, which if you ever made broth with the little bouillon cubes you would quickly recognize. Chicken? Nope. But a bunch of limp noodles. Why? If you don’t have chicken soup it’s ok. If you have chicken soup it’s fine too. If you don’t but you sell it anyway, than you get run over by a truck….or something like that said mr Myagi. No bueno. Lo siento.
The young ladies behind the counter has a very nasty attitude n made it very unpleasant when trying to order from there, the food is ok there but they act as if they have an issue with dark skin people. I am a dark skin Puerto Rican and every time I go there they are rude in their communications with me but when I send my husband in who is Italian they don't treat him the same. We've both tested this feeling just to be sure and it definitely is an issue of theirs...for that we don't care what their food is like we've stopped eating there all together.
Food wasn’t good at all and way to expensive. If this place use to be great then that’s long behind them. Chicken was bland and greasy. The fried rice was also bland and the meat tasted like it was old and reheated in the microwave. The place also doesn’t look the cleanest but that’s a whole other thing. I’d save my money and get Peruvian chicken from another place
Very stingy with the green sauce even if you buy larger quantities. They also charge if you want onky dark meat. Very dirty, you can tell they dont clean the restaurant well. I wont be coming back. Hopefully they open a peruvian restaurant that is more appealing to everyone.
One of the worst places you can possibly eat in Astoria. I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start with cleanliness. These people definitely don’t know how to properly clean down the place at night. Scrubbing down equipment must not be in their vocabulary. Next, let’s go with the food. The chicken is pathetically horrible. The wing of the rotisserie chicken is so over cooked, it’s not edible. The cook/s never got the message about how the thin part of an animal cooks faster than the rest. Hmmm I don’t know, maybe cover the wings up with aluminum foil maybe? And lastly the increase in price on the chicken. I go in there one day a couple of years ago and the girl tells that the price of the half a chicken with rice and beans has gone up. I said fine. I figured maybe it went up 25-50 cents so I didn’t even bother asking how much it was now. I used to pay around 8.65. When she rang me up, 13 and change. I was like wowwwww. Never went there again.
