Maggie Hall’s is a local Astoria gem! They make best cocktails in the area and you are always greeted with a warm welcome, or snarky, but loving remark from bartender Colin. Bartenders JJ and Kyle will also take good care of you! They have always been a loyal supporter of RSM Softball, the best playoff caliber social team in Queens. Pro tip: ask for the flabongo. You won’t be sorry.
Enjoyed their hazy IPA. This spot is pretty lowkey. Absolutely loved the Halloween decor that was still up. Plenty of room to chill with your beer.
If you’re looking for an excellent espresso martini, look no further. They use cold brew and Mr. Black which gives the drink a smooth taste that packs a punch. Service is fast. The atmosphere is cool. It’s definitely a spot I’d frequent more if I lived in the neighborhood.
We went for a few drinks and loved it! The vibe is really cool and the happy hour is amazing! Will come back soon! ☺️
Great ambiance and service! I got the Thompson’s Pass (or something like that) and it was really good - refreshing and sweet, just how I like it! They even had some games available like jenga, trivia, and connect four! I hope they’re grow this selection over time. The bartender was funny and knowledgeable. Outdoor seating in the back. Drinks are average pricing for this area, about $14 for a cocktail. Overall, would come back!
The atmosphere and drinks are awesome. They make one of the best espresso Martinis. 🍸

The regulars of the neighborhood love it here. The cocktails are fantastic, and the vibe is different from a lot of the places in Astoria (in a good way!). They've had some pop-up food shops come in, which is exciting and different. If you're looking for a "grown up" cocktail bar, that's not pretentious or intimidating, this is the spot for you.
Love this place ! The owner Colin , is amazing as well as all of the staff. I feel right at home !
Maggie halls is my favorite bar in Astoria! The cocktails and craft beer are awesome without being pretentious about it, the bartenders are the best and nicest around... and throughout the week they host live music, trivia, and other fun events/pop ups. Great bar 😊
I'm lucky enough to live in close distance to Maggie Halls and have had nothing but great experiences. Great cocktails including their midnight martini and a stellar craft beer selection (including the KCBC Fruited Sour). Whether you are sitting in their back courtyard or inside at the counter, each member of the team behind the bar makes you feel right at home. Will definitely be going back.
Maggie’s Hall is a pretty dope spot in Astoria. Chill vibes, good drinks, and the bartenders are super friendly. They really make the place feel welcoming. They’ve also got outdoor seating, which is perfect when the weather’s nice. Great spot to hang with friends or just grab a drink and relax. Also love the fact that you can bring food in from outside. Definitely a neighborhood gem.
Honestly one of my favorite bars in all 5 boroughs and probably the best espresso martini around - and that’s not an exaggeration. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the overall atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. 10/10 recommend!
This has been my go-to bar since they opened. Every bartender I've interacted with there has been personable, funny, and they make a mean drink. I would definitely recommend trying out a drink from their cocktail menu. My personal favorite is the Thompson's Pass.
Absolutely love this bar, one of my go-to’s in Astoria. The ambiance is great (highly suggest for a date) and the entire staff is fantastic. Their cocktail menu is awesome - their espresso martini is my gold standard! No food, but you can bring in your own :)
Maggie Halls is a gem in the neighborhood- truly one of a kind. I highly recommend cozying up to the bar, enjoying a cocktail, and striking up a conversation with one of the bartenders. The owner, Colin, should feel like a really proud boy because of the atmosphere and establishment he was able to create- a staple in Astoria! Kudos!
This place is a gem of a neighborhood bar with a great beer selection, incredible cocktails, a solid NA lineup, and music that actually slaps (especially when DJ Gean is spinning/jukebox). The bartenders are friendly and genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you walk in. And when it's warm out, the backyard is the place to be. Saturdays a softball team comes through and they are so much fun; they just add to the whole energy of the place. Colin, JJ, and Kyle are surely the best bartenders in Astoria, probably Queens, and dare I say all of NY. The kind of bar you stop into for "just one" and leave two hours later wondering where the night went. Highly recommend.
Maggie Hall’s is a great neighborhood bar where the drinks are strong, the bartenders are genuinely great, and the owner, Colin, will absolutely make you question your social skills for about 30 seconds with his very dry, very tricky sense of humor. Don’t worry—you’re not being roasted (probably). Once you get it, it’s part of the charm. Fantastic staff all around, solid vibes, and a place you’ll keep coming back to even if you swear you’re “just stopping in for one.
Nothing but great vibes as soon as you walk in the door! Colin, Kyle, JJ and the rest of the staff do nothing but make you feel at home. Drinks are great, music is great and a great way to meet new people. Get the espresso martini as it’s a banger!

My friend and I had a joint 30th birthday at this wonderful establishment and there are truly not enough words to describe how glad I am that we chose Maggie’s. We’ve been Astoria locals for about 4 years now, and ever since Maggie’s opened we have been frequent flyers there for their delicious cocktails and generally good vibes. Colin (owner and bartender) is truly THE MAN, and when we met with him to talk about whether we should have our party there, he was so direct and honest with us and had us feeling like we were in great hands. He was also very responsive via phone (we emailed initially and he provided his number in his response), and was just genuinely so chill about everything. Colin and his crew (shoutout to JJ, Cam, Jesse, Kyle, etc) were SO good at checking in with us periodically throughout the day and took such good care of everyone. They even let us play our music for most of the day/night and I was able to add songs for people, which was really the icing on the cake (not sure if this will always fly, my friend and I like a wide variety of music so we made a point to play a lot of crowd pleasers). FYI, we did a bar tab and wristbands were provided. I could truly go on and on about how great this place is, and I highly recommend Maggie’s for both event hosting and for anyone visiting or living in Astoria to just go for a nice cocktail/draft beer and some truly peak vibes. I’ve also been there for trivia nights and live music Thursdays, both great as well. Major shoutout to Colin and the whole team at Maggie Hall’s–you guys are AWESOME and we can’t thank you enough for an amazing birthday celebration!!! <3
I had a joint 30th birthday party with my best friend yesterday at Maggie Hall’s. Colin and staff were awesome! They were so accommodating, easy to communicate with, and provided great service for all of our guests. This party was everything we wanted it to be. Highly suggest chatting with Colin to plan your next party!
Best bar in Astoria! Espresso martinis are out of this world, the bartenders are amazing and hilarious. If you are by yourself or with friends great place to come.

Over 5 years here in Astoria and have always been a regular of Colin’s. Maggie Hall’s is probably my favorite place yet and it only recently opened. The staff is ICONIC and the vibe is groovy with the greatest decor. They are always there for great conversation, to make the most perfect cocktail, or pour that draft beer with the most precision. Couldn’t recommend more for a fun night with friends, a great date spot, or a place to meet new people. Head on over!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was unsettling enough that it needs to be shared. I visited on Saturday, September 13th, around 930PM, and the female bartender with black hair seemed visibly upset or disturbed and took it out on me, antagonizing me, trying to pick a fight, and accusing me of having an “attitude.” At one point, she even told me she didn’t want to give me business. When I asked for her name to report the incident, she refused to give it. I stayed calm, paid my bill, and quietly walked away, but she still publicly called me out for not tipping her after treating me so disrespectfully and even continued to insult me as I was leaving. The entire encounter left me feeling like I may have been racially profiled, which made the experience even more upsetting. I’ve been to plenty of bars and have never experienced this level of unprofessional behavior. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and completely ruined what should have been a casual night out. Do not spend your money here
I've been living in Astoria for 8 years and have become familiar with most bars and bartenders. I've always enjoyed going out and having a great time. However, my recent experience at Maggie halls was marred by the rudest bartender I've ever encountered - Colin, the one with the long beard. His condescending attitude and unfriendly service left a sour taste. We won't be back until he's no longer serving.
