You know it’s the best when the boss is on top of everything and he servers, cooks, and buzzers are even better.
My go to restaurant in the neighborhood always a great meal in a pleasant atmosphere!
Exceptional food, service and vibe. Always a great experience!
Love this place, great neighborhood staple! Samuel and the rest of the staff were amazing
Hands down, one of our favorite Italian restaurants. This place never disappoints. Anytime we want good Italian food, we head over to Via Trenta. Ceasar salad, rice ball special, pizza- all great. The various entrees are on point. We enjoy the bolognese, the cacio e pepe, truffle pasta and ravioli, and pesto chicken. Staff is always friendly. They’ve provided consistent above- average experience for the past few years we’ve been coming here.
Amazing! Whenever people visit from out of town, I bring them here. Via Trenta is high quality and delicious, and the waiters are so friendly! The pesto tagliatelle and chicken Parmesan are fantastic.
Food is always fresh and consistent. Service is always spectacular. This is a neighborhood staple for me!
Amazing food, amazing service, & amazing atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants by far!
The pasta is fresh. The service is incredible. Always friendly and prompt and always delicious.
The braised lamb was so tender it literally fell apart and the branzino was so flavorful and buttery. Staff was so kind and attentive
Best Italian restaurant in Astoria… great selection of fresh pasta and seafood…with an amazing wine selection.
This place is special. Hands down the best pasta in Astoria. Their artichoke appetizer should also be famous - it’s that delicious. The owner and staff are also incredible and so welcoming. Highly recommend if you want an authentic Italian experience. This is the closest thing you will get to REAL Italian food in the U.S. Not American-ized Italian like too many places in NYC. Do yourself a favor and go enjoy it!!!!
Wonderful food and service!! Very attentive to all needs. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite establishments in Queens! The food is phenomenal and the service can’t be beat!
Great food , great atmosphere. Excellent service will be back and highly recommended.
Great venue I am long time patron 5plus years always had an amazing and attentive experience
We had the pre-fix Christmas Eve dinner. Everything was delicious and the music was great.
Dining at Via Trenta Osteria & Wine Bar in Astoria was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. This cozy, rustic Italian spot blends charm, warmth, and top-tier food into one unforgettable experience. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegant and inviting. With soft lighting, wood-accented interiors, and a relaxed energy, it’s an ideal place for both date nights and relaxed dinners with friends. The service was attentive without being overbearing—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented: Branzino: Light, flaky, and cooked to perfection, the branzino was delicately seasoned to let the freshness of the fish shine. The skin was crisped just right, and the accompanying vegetables added a bright, complementary touch. Short Rib Risotto: This was the standout dish of the night. Rich, creamy risotto paired with melt-in-your-mouth short rib—it was deeply comforting and luxurious without being heavy. The balance of flavors was spot-on, making it something I’d come back for again and again. Tiramisu: A classic done right. It was airy yet satisfying, with a perfect espresso kick and just enough sweetness to end the meal on a high note. Via Trenta delivers a true taste of Italy right in the heart of Queens. With a thoughtful menu, warm service, and a relaxed, intimate setting, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger just a little longer over your wine. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine with finesse. I’ll definitely be returning
Food and atmosphere is consistently great. We always make sure to go when visiting family. Tiramisu alone is worth it.
Amazing experience here. Food is fantastic, and always tastes amazing. The service is top notch and the staff if so friendly and accommodating. Will always visit Astoria and stop here.
Very welcoming atmosphere, and excellent customer service. The food was also made to perfection!
Great service and atmosphere my favorite dish is risotto with fresh truffles always consistent
Not sure what's better the food or the service! I have to say the service was outstanding. My brother threw a surprise party from my mom and everyone, all of the servers for amazing!! They really genuinely care and you didn't have to look far to find them, they were at your service. FIVE STARS 🌟
Excellent restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Highly recommended!
The best Italian restaurant in Queen nyc, I love the vibe and the service. 10/10 on everything. This is my go to place, love ittttt
My favorite spot in Astoria. Fantastic food, excellent service, great atmosphere. We’ve become regulars and they treat us like family
The Best filet mignon there is Virtually anything on the menu, it's perfect. This is the place to go and for those who don't know you need to come and try it right now
Suri was the most attentive waitress. We had the best time. Great food, amazing vibes
The food and staff were absolutely amazing. This is a great experience!
VIA TRENTA is one of my favorite local spots in astoria to dine for authentic Italian cuisine. There focaccia bread with olive oil is my favorite so light and airy. I recently stopped in and had the mushroom soup special wish was so devine, creamy and flavorful. We also had the homemade fettuccine black truffle pasta which was one of my favorites, the black truffle is always a treat so rich and decadent . Last but not least we shared the orecchiette with sausage and fennel the homemade al dente pasta coupled with the Savory sausage and fennel was wondering. So many great options to choose from its hard to pick just one!
I love this place! Food is great and the staff is awesome!!! The best beet salad I have ever had
I have a great experience every time I go. Great food, great wine, great service. I highly recommend.
Food and service are always top notch! I love the variety of menu options and the wine selection!
5 star experience -- delicious, fresh pasta and perfect for date night. Service was wonderful. After 2 years of eating in Astoria, this is my favorite date night spot as a local. Highly recommend!
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Astoria!! Not only do they use the highest quality ingredients but every dish is delectable, they have an impressive wine and champagne list and the service is impeccable!! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a true foodie!!
Absolutely lovely. Heated outdoor dining but if you sit towards the back it can get chilly so bundle up! The food was great, very fresh & so tasteful. I will be coming back, I can’t find any flaws. Oh & diagonal of the restuarnt across the street its an outside flower shop so you can grab some with your date after the meal.
Via Trenta is hands down my favorite Italian spot in Queens! It’s the only location, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. The staff is super friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. Every dish is packed with flavor, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or having a nice dinner, this place never disappoints. If you love Italian food, you’ve gotta check it out!
What a dinner! The service, the food, the wine, the atmosphere were all A+! Highly recommended for date nights. Pro-tip: Call ahead for a reservation to get seating in the back! Its a little quieter and cozier. We had a dozen oysters which were supremely fresh. Came will all the fix'ns. We also had burrata with eggplant and pesto which was amazing. Sweet, soft and creamy with the pesto, it was so satisfying. We had a bottle of pinot noir (pictured) which was recommended as a favorite and it was perfect. We also tried one special. It was a potato wrapped salmon filet. It was very delicious and if its ever on the menu again I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it. And we also had a lamb shank with a rich risotto, which fell off the bone and was seasoned to the bone as well. The rice was cheesy and cooked al dente which i love! The staff treated us with much kindness, humor and were very professional. I dont have a bad thing to say about this restaurant!
Via Trenta is the place to go! It is consistently delicious! Giovanni is a wonderful host! Samuel and Trudy are wonderful servers. We always feel like royalty when we go there! We will be there again on Friday!
This is a constant staple in my very few go to neighborhood spots in Astoria. Great food, service and pasta always fresh!!! Try some of the Italian bottles of wine (some great gems)!
I really enjoyed this cute Italian restaurant… I was by myself and had a very enjoyable night. The staffs very very nice and attentive. Food has a lot of taste!!! My only complaint is towards the dessert. I got the panna cotta and it was meh… (Edit: I went back and they have a better sauce for the panna cotta). I definitely would come back regardless.
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tasted amazing and exceeded my expectations. The service was just as impressive—staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit.
Food was delicious and the service was great. Quality oysters and the drinks are well made as well. Perfect date night spot.
We had a beautiful birthday dinner here, which turned into an engagement. Everything about this restaurant from the food to the ambiance was truly amazing. The staff was polite and attentive along with the owner, he showed much kindness and hospitality. My fiance and I had the Calamari, very fresh and beautifully prepared. The Pollo al Parmigiano and the Fettuccine alla Bolognese which were two of these best meals we have ever had from any other restaurant. From now on it is a must that we come here every time we visit New York.
Via trenta is a hidden gem! The cozy atmosphere and impeccable service made for a memorable night. We loved the private dining area in the back. The homemade pasta dishes were incredible, each bite bursting with flavor. You can taste the quality and care in every dish. Don't miss the desserts—they're the perfect sweet ending. If you want authentic Italian food in a warm, inviting setting, this is your place. Highly recommend!
Where do I start, I had such an incredible experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully set up. The food was absolutely phenomenal — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. But what truly made the night unforgettable was our waiter, Suri. He was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave amazing recommendations that did not disappoint. His energy was kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell he really cares about creating a great experience for his guests. Excellent food + outstanding service from Suri = 10/10. I’ll definitely be back!
This is always the most amazing meal. The hospitality is so special - from the food to the service from the atmosphere. My favorite spot with my family - they always have wonderful specials and they also have fantastic gluten free options! Samuel is an incredible server with a lot of knowledge of the menu. He is always on top of it - always knowing the right time to jump in and serve us wine, haha! Definitely come here!!!
I’ve been coming here for 15 years and it’s my first review. Via Trenta (30th Ave) is so underrated. It’s ALWAYS been amazing. Where else can you get Barolo by the glass, fresh bluepoints & Kumos, tonno tartare, and the classics, like veal scallopini, gnocchi, all homemade pastas?? Here, at Via Trenta. With so many options in Astoria, it’s easy to overlook how, but hard to forget how GOOD this place is. For truly Italian style cuisine (NOT American Italian style smothered in sauce), this place gets Astoria’s Best Italian.
Always a favorite! The food is fabulous and everything about this place is consistent. Service is wonderful — everyone is attentive and very familiar with the menu. Good vibes, easy cocktails, lovely meats and veg.
Our favorite Italian spot in the neighborhood! We come for a relaxing Sunday night dinner and always have the best time. Everyone is friendly, the food is always amazing and we absolutely love it!
What an amazing time. From the atmosphere, to the food, down to the service- everything was exceptional. We had the pleasure of having Suri as our server, and she was nothing short of perfect. The dining experience here gets better every time we come
The food at Via Trenta is always 15/10- excellent taste, all around very delicious. Suri, is an excellent waitress- very attentive, kind, and caring. We’ve come here multiple times for the hospitality and great food.
The food was amazing, we had the ragu special and the pasta. Suri and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly. I recommend coming here!
We celebrated our 5th year anniversary here. We loved the food and everyone was very nice & generous. The owner treated us to homemade limoncello, and the staff celebrated us at every opportunity possible. My fiancée and I absolutely recommend having dinner here.
10/10 experience at Trenta Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and welcoming without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Every dish we ordered exceeded expectations. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
We have been coming to this place for few years now and it never disappoints us. The food is amazing. The service is top notch. Must haves Grilled octopus, gnocchi pesto, filet mignon. Don’t forget the dessert: Crème bruele is to die for.
This is my new spot. I was there with a few friends the other night and WoW what a cool , good vide , great food and for the first time in a long time good service. We met Who I believe to be the owner, Giovanni . What knowledge and nice guy this man. We shared a few dishes to start for appetizers, meatballs, octopus and a couple pizzas! Everything was just perfect. I then had Ravioli and my friend next to me had the pappardelle and me and her shared and both pastas were out of control! Giovanni recommended Barolo Which he said Piedmont was the way to go! We took the recommendation and that was the icing on the cake! Definitely going back and thank you all .
I have been dining here since opened. The homemade pasta is amazing complemented with simple tomatoe sauce reminiscent of Italy. The variety of wines will supplement any meal. I am really happy with the addition of the fresh oyster bar. The fresh oysters and octopus with a cold beer are my lunch favorite .
Absolutely amazing dinner. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service made the whole experience even better. One of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. Would 100% come back.
My favorite restaurant in Astoria hands down. I have been coming to Via trenta for almost 15 years. The food, the service is just beyond your best expectations. They even did my rehearsal dinner here for our wedding and were so accommodating. If you have not yet tried Via, you must go immediately!
I've been coming here for various years and today I wanted to shoutout how great Via Trenta is. I love their fresh pastas, wine selection and desserts. Today, everyone in our table enjoyed their meals. It's a solid neighborhood Italian restaurant without having to be too pretentious. The oyster bar is really great addition and I love its variety. Our favorite ones were Wellfleet, from Cape Cod. Finally, their service has always been outstanding. All servers are kind and attentive. Highly recommended.
Ever since they closed Trattoria L'incontro in Astoria this restaurant has become the best place for Italian food. Fresh oysters in they offer are a final touch. Very nice venue, manager Giovanni convinced me to stop by and try some good products they have. They make their own pasta. Since I haven't tried yet majority of their food, I can't give 5*. But my first impressions about the ambience, food and service are all just on point. Way behind they have a special space (Wine Bar) for mini events and hedonists who enjoy rare wines. A remarkable selection of wine, which are not so common even for Manhattan, such as Ornellaia, Solaia, Masseto, Tignanello, and a big variety of Brunello di Montalcino or Barolo wines. Very affordable prices, no ripping off. Good vintages. I strongly recommend this place.
The food, staff, and ambiance are all just on point. It's perfect for a first date, hanging out with friends, catching up with family, or even dining solo! This spot checks all the boxes. The food is fresh, vibrant, and expertly prepared.. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu But the real star of the show? The Kumamoto oyster!
This quaint Italian/seafood spot in the heart of Astoria has truly captivated my attention. The service is excellent, make sure to ask for Samuel! He is very knowledgeable about the menu, makes great recommendations and is very timely with his service. I come here often for the oysters and the specials which usually always has some kind of fish. Sitting outside is my absolute favorite, very pleasant with nice street views of 30th Avenue. They also have a great selection of East and West coast oysters, i highly recommend the Chebooktook or the Prime Pearls! The branzino is my favorite here, it is fresh and prepared perfectly! *chef’s kiss* if you’re ever in the area looking for a place to unwind and enjoy good food, Via Trent’s Osteria is the spot !
What a neighborhood gem! Our friend who lives in the area brought us here, saying it was one of her local favorites for Italian food, and I can see why! The service is friendly, and the food is too notch. We ordered a range of dishes, starting with sautéed artichokes and fried calamari— both excellent! Moved on to a few pastas— a seafood special with squid ink pasta, their bolognese, and a pappardelle with mushrooms. My favorite was the pappardelle, which was infused with so much truffle and mushroom flavor, but all the pastas are homemade and very good. A great new find— I’ll be back.
Wonderful lighting, atmosphere, and staff. Food was very good. Gave it 4 stars bc I found my mushroom pasta a little bland but still good. Ricotta cheecake is memorable. We left happy and didn’t feel ripped off, like we usually do now a-days. Everything was fresh. We will be back.
I recently visited this restaurant, and while the food and overall service were fine, my experience started off on a very negative note. The manager looked at me in a way that felt judgmental and refused to let me sit inside simply because I was wearing a hoodie and athletic wear. I live in the neighborhood, and being told I had to eat outside because of my outfit felt not only unnecessary but also very unwelcoming. I find it ridiculous that a restaurant located on the corner of a residential area enforces a dress code to this extent. The way the manager looked at me was far from hospitable, and it really set the wrong tone for the evening. Apart from that, everything else was okay, but this policy and attitude left me with a bad impression.
The truth is, it was my mistake to choose a place I didn’t know and had never been to in order to celebrate my birthday. But, of course, you always expect the best. Right from the beginning, we had a small issue with a server, he was a bit rude in a specific situation with me: my mother and I were placing our order, and he said there were too many people talking at the same time, but the way he said it was unnecessary and rude. From that moment on, the atmosphere already felt uncomfortable. After that, we ordered appetizers, main courses, and dessert. Overall, the food was very average. Nothing stood out. We ordered gnocchi, spaghetti, fettuccine, among other dishes, and none of them were memorable. Even the appetizer sampler didn’t impress us. The dessert, a cheesecake, was unfortunately not tasty. In the end, the experience didn’t surprise me at all. It’s not a place I would return to.
This restaurant seems like it has the potential to be great, but our Valentine’s Day experience was frustrating and poorly managed. We had an 8:45 PM reservation and arrived on time, being told it would be 5-10 minute wait - yet we weren’t seated until around 9:30 PM. The small waiting area we were led to stand in, was packed with other guests also delayed well past their reservation times—some by 30-40 minutes—forcing everyone to stand uncomfortably in the way of servers. To acknowledge the delay, we were handed a card for our next visit for a free glass of wine or dessert, but it expires in just 14 days, which felt like an insincere gesture rather than a real effort to make things right. Once seated, service was slow with minimal check-ins. Our appetizer arrived at 10:15 PM, and our entrées finally came around 11 PM—clearly having been sitting out and reheated, which was especially disappointing for a prix fixe menu. It wasn’t a case of the restaurant being too busy—it was just disorganized and unprofessional. While this place might be great on a normal night, our Valentine’s Day experience was not worth the wait or the price. Hopefully, they do better in the future, but this was disappointing.
Asked for truffle butter added to the veal. Not only did they not add it, they charged us $47 since it was “off menu” when veal was priced around $25. Staff seemed upset we didn’t order drinks or dessert. After taking the order, the waiter never returned to the table and other staff came by instead to drop off the check
Came here for Valentine's Day and sorely disappointed. I called Reservations a week in advance. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend for our anniversary so I was looking for a place with an intimate candle lit setting. The pictures seem to show space between each table 🤔 To our surprise when we arrived for our Reservation, the restaurant had SO many tables there was barely any space for even the staff to move around without hitting the back of customers chairs. I was so frustrated. To add to it, it took 20 minutes for us to get seated, and when we finally got seated, we had to harass a different overworked waiter to take our order because no one else was in sight. Absolutely atrocious. Waste of time and money The food was supar especially for how expensive it is. What a farce. Do better. Give your customers what they need, instead of being greedy and trying to cram as much tables as possible in such a small tight space. Unscrupulous.
I went here this evening and was seated at a table only to find out some time after that i was not welcomed with a Baseball cap on . I was shocked because i had already been greeted and seated and when i was told and asked why , he merely responded that it was the policy . Disgusting behavior . You DO NOT DEAT SOMEONE AND THEN MAKE THEIR VISIT UNPLEASANT .
