Dark Nectar Coffee

Personally I think this place has the best local roasted beans in the area. I don't make it here often but I always take a bag of beans togo when I do. They will gladly grind the beans to your liking as well.

Awesome roasts and down to earth atmosphere. A very fun morning time hang to play board games or chat with the regulars. The staff is very helpful as well :)

Moved to town recently and randomly stopped by here. The owner and his staff were amazing! I was by myself and he approached me and thanked me for coming out. We also had a great conversation while he himself hopped behind the bar. Definitely made my night, and drinks and atmosphere was top notch! Hats off to him and his staff!! I'll definitely be back!! Thanks again for the great service!!

Excellent service for this local coffee shop. I first discovered Dark Nectar years ago at the Templeton Farmer's Market. What can I say... most everybody knows that I am a tea drinker but will purchase coffee as gifts if I smell and taste a delicious blend. I had met Danny years ago at the Templeton Farmer's Market and he would ship bags down to Southern California for me. I was in the area this past week and heard of his passing :( his son Tyler now runs the place and it. The coffee is smooth, rich and very nice to serve with dessert after a meal or if you need that caffeine 'pick-me-up' in the morning. The locals were here the day I stopped in sitting up at the bar but there are couches, bookshelves and a turntable with music to invite you to chill out and relax. My favorite is Templetucky it has a nice round flavor profile. Respectfully Reviewed

I don't even know anything about their coffee but wow, what a great little music venue! I understand it's usually host to a rmrough crowd but I caught it on a more mellow night.

Awesome place on the best street in Atascadero. My son and I played chess while my wife relaxed with the young one. Great chai and coffee. You can get a beer and two tacos for $8!

Dark Nectar has good coffee (hot, cold, or blended), tea, and chai. They sell individual pie slices from a local pie maker in Atascadero. The music they play is usually pretty nice. They have books, board games, and darts to stay occupied while visiting. It's nice to see that they were able to remain open after the covid-19 shutdown.

Very friendly staff. Should have copies of todays local (SLO, Atas.) Papers to read while sipping. Has pastries from Linns. A good placevto relax while waiting for hair appointment. Had a homemade fritata slice that was delicious. Hope there will be more.

If you're some dandelion from the 805 with no Tyler Durden energy whatsoever, then this is the perfect place for you to meet other posers just like yourself. Expect to get shut down very soon.

I think it's pretty cool to have a coffee shop that acts as a music venue for a genre of music that doesn't get to perform in a lot of other music venues. But it still IS a coffee shop. Went to try and get a coffee when there was some event either on Entrada or by Sunken Gardens, and was basically given a weird look and told to try up the road. While the guy behind the counter went back to laughing with his buddy at the counter.

I don’t want to be rude, but this place is a dump. I went there and found a bear can at the top of the trash in the bathroom. There was bags every where and it was messy. And the coffee was really bad too. Definitely not coming back.
