We went here the first night with a group. We love that they customized menus for the wedding anniversary of one of the couples and the launch of her book Dating Stupid. Came back for dinner at the bar with exceptional service. Highly recommend the lamb sirloin and steak. The artichoke are crispy with wonderful flavor from the roasted garlic cloves. Enjoy a glass of wine to top off your meal. Save room for one of their delicious desserts. Perfect for a group, wedding anniversary, or a private dinner for one.

A Truely Unforgettable Experience at Ecco Buckhead! From the moment we walked into Ecco Buckhead, we were treated to one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. My hostess, Tiera, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive—her warmth and professionalism set the tone for a beautiful evening. What truly made the night unforgettable was the level of detail and care shown by the entire restaurant staff. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and our 4th anniversary, and to our surprise, they presented us with a heartfelt card signed by the team. It was such a touching gesture that made us feel genuinely celebrated. But what absolutely blew my mind was the customized menu they had printed just for us. I’ve dined at many places, but never before has a restaurant gone to such lengths to make an occasion feel this special. It was elegant, personal, and something I will always remember. The food, of course, was exceptional—thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. But it was the people, the service, and the extra-mile touches that turned this dinner into something magical. Ecco Buckhead has set a new standard in hospitality for me. Thank you to Tiera and the entire staff for making our night so special.

Listen!!!!! I'm from New York. We know good cuisine. I will always follow Chef Reedholm. We were genuinely sad when Lure closed in August, but now he’s at Ecco, just a few steps from our home. From the cauliflower and apple salad appetizer, to the perfectly executed duck and chicken entrées, and ending with the apple tart (and yes, the server deserves a shout-out too)… every bite was exceptional. I really mean start ot finish, you don't need to go anywhere else. I was so excited I forget to capture images only until dessert because I had eaten everything was so full. My goodness, I had to blow up this gem. Dont change the menu, add some things here and there, even seasonal. Shout out to our server James and Trey the manager!!!!!

Had an amazing experience for my 2 year wedding anniversary. Alexis and the rest of the team took such great care of us. The food was delicious and the dessert was delightful. The fried goat cheese is to die for!

Went here for dinner with my husband for date night and was super happy with the food, drinks, and service. The food portions are on the smaller size but I love the smaller portions! It gave us an opportunity to tried a few different things. The food was super fresh and the quality of each items were delicious! My husband is a super picky eater and for once he did not complain about how the food was seasoned, etc. Our server was super knowledgeable on the dishes and gave us great options on wine and cocktails as well as starters dishes. I would totally recommend the goat cheese balls! It was delicious, crispy, perfect balance of dough and cheese with the honey sauce that was not over powering. The crab pizza was also delicious! Right about of veggies, crab, and cheese. The Hamachi was amazing!!! I would totally come back just for that, the pear and fish pairing was delicious and refreshing. The raw lamb dish and duck dish for our entrees were perfect in portions size and taste. I left feeling full and will for sure come back to try more of their dishes.

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they blew us away. So many little touches to personalize the experience and the food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back for a special occasion in the future!

The Smoked Pork Milanese is one of the greatest dishes I have ever had!!! Just really out of this world. Loved the barrel aged Negroni. Service was perfect too. I suggest you go immediately, if not sooner.

Amazing service, food, overall a really great experience. We went during the Christmas eve dinner and our server was kind and attentive, the food was amazing, we got the fried goat cheese, a must try, shaved iberico, celeriac soup, casarecce, Lamb Chop, black cod, bee sting cake and chocolate mousse. Not an everyday place you would eat but a great date night for sure.

We enjoyed this location much more than I originally expected to. Modern European is not something that I normally go out of my way for. Thankfully they put a unique Twist on things that I think really sets them apart. The drinks are great and the location is beautiful. It's also very convenient to get to and there's plenty of parking. It's a fantastic location. You will not be disappointed.

We had a surprise birthday party here for my best friend. I spoke with Jamie, via email, to reserve a private room to host the birthday party. We brought in all sorts of decor and set up the room beautifully! They were able to accommodate all 24 of us. The set menu was perfect for our group. Would highly recommend for an affordable, posh, tasty group dining experience!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience! Perhaps the best thing about our visit was one of the chefs, Adrian. He visited our table and made excellent recommendations and made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. Our server was great and the food was delicious! We will be back.

Went here for a girls night and had the best time. Excellent food and service! We shared the honey and goat cheese item after the waitress recommended it. We also had the bread and olive oil and the stuffed peppers. Everything was excellent and perfect for sharing. I had the black squid ink pasta with shrimp and it was super tasty. I really enjoyed it. We finished with sharing all the desserts...apple bread pudding, chocolate mousse cake, sweet bun and Earl grey gelato. All were very yummy and beautifully presented.

Well, color me surprised when I stumbled upon this hidden treasure while staying at the hotel! Curious about how often the menu switches up, I inquired with the bartender who said that it feels like it changes practically every week 😜. Count me in! Let me just say, those octopus skewers were simply exquisite, cooked to absolute perfection! And don't even get me started on the chocolate pound cake - it was a pure delight, rich and delectable! The pork belly 🔥 and the pickled okra completely transformed my opinion of that slimy vegetable. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, it's always a culinary delight. I'll definitely be back for another mouthwatering experience 😋!

Really great experience here. Decided to do a tour of the tapas — the charcuterie, fried goat cheese balls, oysters and duck were all out of this world.

Food was 7/10 , customer service from my server was TOP TIER! I love the drinks and getting my fav creature comfort ipa beer. I learned my lesson from my food experience and stuck to small plates. The ambience is 10/10 and worth the experience.

My partner and I enjoyed a casual evening out on 12/16/24. The ambience was great. The staff really took care of us. Food was excellent. We ordered a bunch of food and enjoyed every dish as it came out. Drinks were spot on. Lexus had great recommendations for us. We will definitly be back.

The lightly fried whipped goat cheese balls in a bowl slightly filled with honey was delicious! I love beets, so I also got the beet salad which I enjoyed. I was pretty full at this point but still had the market fish entree coming, which was some type of fish that was supposed to be similar to bass. It was an ok dish. I think I would’ve preferred a lemon sauce and capers. The food cam quick, maybe about 10 minutes or so after I ordered it and then all of the following dishes were served pretty much as soon as I was done with the prior plate.

Everyone knows the goat cheese balls are phenomenal but I recently had the opportunity to try these two deserts on the menu. The peach tart and the chocolate pot. Superb! Our dinner was lovely. Service is top notch. One of my favorite places to dine in atlanta

I made a reservation on Open table and noted it was our 49th wedding anniversary. They called to ask me did we need anything special and did we have any favorite cocktails. I said we liked to see what special drinks they had when we arrived and would like a nice quiet table but not secluded. We arrived and they greeted us and made us feel very special. The table was perfect and the service was one if not the best I think we have ever had. The service was not like we have seen before. All stepped up and professionally without being intrusive took care of us. The food and portions were excellent, generous and priced very fair for the offering. The GM even took the time to print us personalized menu, and a card was at the tabled signed by all of the staff. My wife and I treat ourselves to 2-3 four start restaurants each year for birthdays and anniversaries and we have been doing it since the 1980's. We have had some wonderful experiences and meals, but without question ECCO Buckhead and the team stands out from them all. Highly recommend. Great Work! Regards Pete Corbett

hello

Came here for dinner and was absolutely phenomenal... from the decor to the service, everything was perfect. Brittany, our server was very knowledgeable and efficient but not overbearing. The entrées were all amazing as was the side cauliflower and broccoli, maybe some of the best I’ve had. Will definitely return to this location for more.

The food here was excellent. The roasted stuffed peppers were delicious. The chefs special steak I tried was very tasty. Can't recall the name but it is worth every penny. The Ambience was good. The music could be lowered a bit but not the worst I've experienced. It was a busy night, so the food took a little while to come out, but I was with good company so time went by quickly. The bathrooms were very clean. Had to mention. It was towards the front down a fleet of steps and you will find yourself in a somewhat isolated area. So ladies if you have anxiety, you may want to take a friend with you down there. Overall it was an excellent experience

HAPPY HOUR AT THE BAR FROM 5:00-6:30!! We sat at the bar and ordered all the happy hour apps because why the hell not at half price? The stand-outs for me were the wood grilled shrimp with polenta, the goat cheese with honey and cracked pepper, and the zucchini fritto! They mistakenly brought our prosciutto focaccia to another table so they graced us with the hummus, very thoughtful and very delicious!

Went here as a late Valentine's day (I was out of town on the real one), so we make our own holidays! I have to say our waiter was top notch. We wanted to take the evening slow so she checked in on us multiple times and let us order in "courses". Favorites: 1. That bee sting cake.... Light and not too sweet. 2. The beet salad. It looks like tomatoes but tasted like mint and goat cheese deliciousness. Don't really have any dislikes.... Except for the distraction of the table of divorcees behind us that kept talking about how weird it is to date millennials (but bonus: they said we make good breakfast smoothies 😂).

Went there for a rare date night away from kids and to celebrate hubby’s belated birthday. Asked for a quiet booth. They gave us a great spot off to the side. All the menus were stamped out with happy birthday messages and there was a card waiting for him with all the staff signatures. We were so tickled. I think the servers name was Imoon (I’m sure I’m butchering it, I’m so sorry!) and she was wonderful and attentive. Hubs said the liver patte was the best he’d had, it was my first time having duck and it was the best thing ever. They brought us a beautiful sampler spread of wines to try to pair with our meals. It was just the wonderful experience. Their parent is 5th Group Restaurants and I look forward to trying others under this name.

ECCO is undeniable! Our waiter Donald was superb. Always there when needed; he knew everything about the menu and when he didn't? He took time to find out from chef. The entire staff was supportive and I can say this with certainty because we were visited by no less than 5 team members during out 1.75 hour experience. Some served us, some asked for feedback and some delivered surprises that were delectable. If you're looking for a top notch, 5 star establishment for a special occasion or event? ECCO will deliver!

Came in for my Birthday dinner and had the best night. Between our incredible TOP server Leonardo who was super kind and attentive, and all the delicious food and wine and countless managers coming by to wish me a happy Birthday, it was the sweetest time. So pleased with my decision to come in and try Ecco out after living in Atlanta for years. The Artichoke oven baked Pizza was perfect!! Also what a first to have the whole team sign a birthday card that was awaiting me when we were seated. Thanks Ecco Buckhead! ☺️🥰

Maya and Abu, were amazing! Service really made the dinner tonight. They were charismatic, diligent about their jobs, and focused all at the same time. I’ll be back not just for the food, but for this bar team as well.

We had such a wonderful experience at Ecco! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. What really made the night extra special was our server, Alexis. She was warm, attentive, and so knowledgeable about the menu, which made choosing our meal so easy and fun. It’s rare to have service that feels both professional and genuinely caring, but Alexis delivered that perfectly. We left not only impressed with the food, but also so appreciative of the hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!

Ecco Buckhead granted me the happiest of hours, two in number if we are to speak plainly, and I enjoyed them both without regret. It sits quietly at the edge of Phipps Plaza, tucked away just enough to feel discovered rather than advertised. In an age where happy hour prices seldom inspire joy, this was a welcome exception. The food pleased greatly and arrived with care. I took my customary old fashioned, as ever, so often have I ordered it that I may soon be catalogued as a fossil. The bartenders know me well enough now that they call me retro, which I accept as a title of honor. All told, a fine refuge for mirth, good drink, and honest pleasure, and one I would gladly seek out again.

ECCO is a beautifully designed space without feeling pretentious, and creates a genuinely pleasant setting for a meal. The service is always gracious and attentive. What about the food? Well it never disappoints the pan con tomate was vibrant and full of depth, and the pasta showed real care in its preparation—fresh, balanced, and truly satisfying. Altogether, a polished and lovely dining experience that lingers well after the meal.

Great time here. Recommend for: single, couples, groups. I arrive with a small group of 4. Seating was nice. Ambiance: low lit, intimate, business casual. Food/drinks: Good. Steak and apps were quality. Service/ server: Above good. Happy, amiable, present. Overall: High recommended

Food was good, but, at those prices, you expect better! The fried goat cheese with honey was tasty. Something unique! We also ordered the courgette pizza- cheesy, but a bit salty, pork milanese- served over a creamy garlic sauce, wood grilled chicken- needed some seasoning and the hearth burger, which is served with fries! Service was excellent! They do have valet parking.

So, I spent the weekend in ATL and wanted to try something new....hands down the small plate menu items are definitely worth it. For the Entree, I ordered Duck, and hubby had steak. The drinks were just good. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was amazing. The staff definitely took care of us. They offer valet. However, there is too much construction going on in the area. ( accident waiting to happen with all the U-turns)

Table experience was great, except the host never made eye contact. For the most part, food was tasty. Appetizers were good, favorite being the fried goat cheese. A bit disappointed with the steak tartare (underwhelming flavor and frozen in the middle). Duck was delicious and asparagus side and fries were great. Great drink selection.

Had a company event here.... highly recommended. Only thing to note, and maybe it's a southern thing. I asked for medium rare for my steak, and it came very rare, in my opinion. Steak was still great though. Just maybe ask for well done if you don't like it too pink...

Beautiful restaurant with very good service. There is a decent selection of Italian wines. Food wise, we liked the fried goat cheese balls, shrimp toast appetizer, and steelhead trout. People also enjoyed the three pastas, which were all rich. I can confirm that the crab cascarece probably only had 2-3 pieces of crab as others have mentioned. We would not recommend the tuna pate. The stuffed peppers are in a lot of sauce and can be a bit messy. I would try other restaurants before returning but can see how people like it for an occasion.

Our server was awesome. The food was delicious! We could not get enough for the roasted vegetables. They were prepared in such a unusual way and had a grilled/ smoky flavour. It’s a must try! The only reason I gave it 4 starts is the food took too long to come out. Especially since the place was not busy and was half empty.

J

Very friendly service and overall good food and drinks. Jin and tonic was the best! We also really enjoyed appetizers here. Main entrees were good but didn't match the appetizers' quality. Definatly a place to visit again but I see room for little improvement.

Ecco is a cool spot with good food. I had the steak and fries which was pretty tasty. The fries were a bit on the crunchy side. The goat cheese balls were great! The service was what you would expect from a nice restaurant.

We're big fans of Ecco Midtown. Food quality is just as good at this location. But it was empty on Sunday evening. Saw one or two other tables. Atmosphere was definitely lacking. Great service from the friendly staff. Just wish it was more lively.

Nice atmosphere but a bit noisy... we started w their fired goat cheese (ok, not warm enough imo) & wine. The entrées all seemed unique, and the wood fired red fish was quite tasty. My gal got some pasta she really enjoyed.

It was okay, I’d give it a 3.5. Sat with a party of 4. Ordered drinks and food. Drinks started off decent The old fashion was good, they use large format ice. Highball glasses aren’t heavy bottom so the cocktails don’t feel quite premium. Goat cheese balls are delicious. We ordered 2 filets at MP ($50). I ordered mine medium rare and my friend ordered his rare. I also ordered the pappardelle and tagliatelle. My wife ordered a burger. The steaks were awful. Awkwardly cut. The waitress told our party that the filet was 8 oz but it looked closer to 4oz. It looked like the meat was literally steamed. No crust. Cross section revealed a huge grey band the enveloped a majority of the cut with maybe a dime sized pale pink center. Friends steak also appeared to be streamed instead of seared on a hot surface. Crab tagliatelle had absolutely no salt or flavor. Everyone sampled the dish at the table and agreed. The pappadelle had a good flavor, and noodles were well cooked. Burger was the star. Wife loved it. It was cooked nicely at medium. The server did ask me if everything was okay and I explained to her that the steak was terrible and she asks if i wanted to order something else. So I ordered a burger, which again was fabulous. (Too bad I boxed it up and left it at the restaurant 😭) Ultimately this place is kinda a hit or miss for me. The lower priced items seems to be cooked better then the more expensive items. Friends wanted to try Ecco based off some instagram ads, but may not be worth your hard earned dollar. Expect about $70 per person if getting a drinks and 1 app.

N
Nikhil Patel

Service was great. The food was marginal. The waitstaff was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable. The entrees, while cooked very well, were over seasoned, having a an overpowering bitter taste. The steak had to be eaten with the potatoes to make it palatable. Rather disappointing for the price.

J
Jesse Ding

I ordered the tuna tartar and carb pasta. they taste bland, and tartar is the worst i ever had. i can’t believe how the rating can be so high.

A

Let me say, I did not like my food! My gosh it was terrible and for the price, not worth it. I was confused as to how to enter the restaurant, as I came through the bar entrance so because of that, I ended up eating at the bar. The decor is nice but the vibe was meh. I ordered a mocktail, which was super citrusy, but good. I started off with the local greens which was the best thing I ate today aside from my drink! The Dijon dressing had a bit of a bite to it, but it wasn't bad. The veggies were fresh and I found the dish presentation pretty. However, the 2 mistakes that I had in the confit chicken and lamb pizza were a complete food disaster. First off, that pizza was so heavy from the meat and toppings, the bread underneath was super soggy and it wasn't that appetizing. The meat was a combination of salty and lacking flavor, then the baba ghanoush, that claimed to be on the pizza was scarce. Then on top of that, there was avocado?! I mean, I like mixing it up but this has too many things plus the overly excessive green herbs on top. A hot mess. Then that confit chicken was by far the worst thing I've eaten in a long time. That blue cheese overpowered that dish and because this was in the jous beneath the chicken, nothing else ate right on that plate. Plus, the sweet pomegranate dressing on the salad was just fighting with that blue cheese. I couldn't even eat it and pushed it off to the side. Now the chicken was cooked perfectly, but it had no seasoning! I see the jous served as the seasoning, but because the blue cheese made it inedible, I just ate the chicken. Needless to say I will never be returning here again. Make better food where the flavors aren't competing or overpowering the other. Decent drinks, but I would pass on the food.

K
Kim Rogers

Very disappointing, overall the food was NOT good, however, service and atmosphere was good. The noodles were undercooked with very very little blue crab, the tuna tartare lacked tuna, the duck had more fat than duck, the chili garlic prawns were soaked in vinegar :( and the drink, the ice was overwhelming .....VERY DISAPPOINTING experience!!! Probably will not return..... :(

This is one of those neighborhood restaurants I’d walked past countless times but never tried, until now. We finally stopped in for dinner, and at first, it felt promising: a warm, cozy atmosphere with just the right amount of buzz without being crowded. The fried goat cheese, which so many reviews raved about, absolutely lived up to the hype. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. The rest of the dishes were unevenly prepared, some scorched, most overly salty and the order of service was completely off. With the open kitchen, it was hard not to wonder if the chefs actually notice who ordered what and decide how carefully to cook it. Toward the end of our meal, the manager came by to apologize for the side dish that never showed up and one of the appetizers that had been delayed. He offered to comp them and kindly suggested complimentary ice cream, which we declined. It was considerate of him to remove those items from our bill, but that wasn’t the point. We didn’t come for free food; we came hoping for a good time and great dishes. It would’ve been far better to pay full price for a meal worth returning for. Sadly, this won’t be one of those places we’ll come back to.
