We went here around 230 on a Sunday and it was perfect bc we were there for the end of the brunch menu and the beginning of the happy hr menu. I loved their coffee menu. I tried a maple/cardamom coffee and it was so yummy. We also shared the crispy chicken bao sliders, chicken gyoza tacos, crispy rice with spicy tuna and the brussel sprouts. Everything was fresh and came quickly. Delicious dishes. We really enjoyed them all. Very friendly waitress. She was perfect for attention. And she brought a little chocolate sticks with the bill. Really nice experience!!
Whiskey Bird is a consistently great spot; have been here many times - mostly for brunch / late lunch - and it never disappoints. The vibe is modern, fun and a little funky - makes it an easy place to hang out whether it’s for a drink, date or dinner with friends. Smashed burger and the bao bun Benedicts are fantastic. The fried chicken burrito is cool too and the side salad that comes with many dishes is fantastic! Great drinks and an all around easy spot to come to!
Me and my Girlfriend Celebrated are anniversary here and the service is always amazing. We were served by Mike and from the since of humor to the urgency we couldn’t have had a better time he is also great with the best recommendations. Mia the manager also was the highlight of are night and surprised us with Keylime pie and Champagne and just made us feel so special. 1000/ 10 experience we drove 4 hours to come here and it was extremely worth every dollar spent 🙏🏽
I came at a busy dinner time and they sat us pretty quickly on the back patio. It was a little removed from all the other diners but we still received good service. I ordered the Thai steak + noodle salad and it was so delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors were unique. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and really enjoyed it as well.
Had an amazing brunch! Stellar flavors and textures with all the food we ordered. Ingredients are super fresh too. Service is wonderful as well. Will definitely visit again! 🤩😋
We love dining at WB, their food is amazing and staff is super nice ! We celebrated our anniversary last night and team wished us so warmly with hand written notes . We felt very special. Must try dining experience, highly recommend them!
Incredible food, amazing drinks, and truly top-tier service. The energy in this place is unmatched and made the whole experience even better. We cannot wait to go back!
Our experience was not off to a great start because some ladies, who were occupying the table we were supposed to be seated at, just did NOT want to leave even after paying their tab. The staff was very apologetic given it was at full capacity at that hour, and made sure to seat us as soon as another table became available. The food was delectable, and the service was great. We came here for my mother's birthday celebration, and she had a lovely time. Definitely worth a second visit!
This place is awesome and you can bring your dog and seat at the patio. Our server was great, so nice. We had wine and cocktails and they were great. We share the Hawaiian hanger steak was delicious! Such good vibes! We’ll be back!
Such a good spot! There is something for everyone on the menu. My friend got the cauliflower and I got the steak burrito. Both were good. Steak burrito is huge so maybe split it. Also really cool women’s restroom
I cannot start my review of the food before mentioning our extraordinaire server Dillon. Friendly, efficient, and all his recommendations were on point! 5 star server!! We were a party of 4 and enjoyed a Sunday Brunch Dillon kept the bloody Mary's flowing!! We ordered some apps and entrés and each and every one were amazing. We could taste the fresh ingredients and feel the love of the chef in each of our meals. Bravo!!!
All the food was amazing, and Dylan did a great job making sure our celebration was nice! The skewers were amazing: chicken meatballs, mushrooms, shrimp, and sticky chicken! The miso herb Caesar salad was yummy also!
We loved it! My husband and I walked in on a Saturday night, a little before 7 without reservations, and were seated right away. We had the yakitori, Thai steak salad, panko chicken, and Peruvian chicken tacos - all were great! Our favorites were the chimichurri shrimp, tacos, and panko chicken. The restaurant is very inviting and our service was so good (thanks Candy).
Great spot! Service was impeccable and drinks were in our hands faster than I thought possible. And the menu was amazing, highly recommend the Tuna Tacos to start and the Sweet and sour Gnocchi! Edited now after Brunch... And it just keeps getting better :) I indulged in the lovely Thai Basil Paloma. We shared Tuna Toast...where the tuna literally melts in your mouth and the sweet and savory Hong Kong Chicken and Waffles. I brought a friend for her first time, and she was texting family the food pics as she was eating. It is that good! And again the service, superb!!!
Food was wonderful! Jack our server was amazing! Thank you for helping to make my nieces birthday special!
DELICIOUS! Beautiful and dim relaxing environment with delicious food. Amazing wait staff too. They were kind, friendly, accommodating and fast.
Our server was Jack. Super chill and funny, he had us taken care of! Food was delicious and flavorful. Atmosphere was a bit dark closer to sunset but the music is nice and the decor is cute.
The service was really quick and easy, the waiter was very helpful and polite, and the atmosphere was pretty laid back.... My best dish would definitely be the brussel sprouts bowl with the thin tuna flacks on top with the WB sauce absolutely delicious....the fried chicken sando sandwich melts in your mouth!!
Always a great time here, food is delicious, drinks so yummy! My favorite are the frozen ones!! Service is always so welcoming, this week Maya was our server and made our time there extra special!! We love it and recommend!!!
Whiskey Bird may be one of the most universally beloved restaurants on North Highland. Anthony and Chad along with executive chef Joshua put together an exceptional mix of vibrant plates from all over the world. Unlike some other restaurants, you are not squeezed tight to achieve additional table count. The atmosphere is refreshing thanks to the friendly team and the artistry on the walls. The brunch menu rivals that of any in the city. Where to start? That’s easy, okonomiyaki loaded Japanese street fries. From there, dig into the Frittata Yada-Yada or the Bao Benedict for a perfect Sunday morning brunch. In the summer, on a busy Sunday morning, the folks are clutching glasses of wine, waiting for their table and enjoying a lovely Sunday morning conversation. Have they dined at Whiskey Bird before? Yes. And they’ll be dining with Whiskey Bird again and again. Highly recommended
staff was friendly. got the gnocchi with ahi tuna. sauce was overpoweringly sweet but everything else was good
I was in Atlanta to attend an event at Emory and after we decided to find a new fun place for dinner. We found the Whiskey Bird and the reviews looked great so off we went. The beverages, appetizers, and entrees were all delicious. However, the Key Lime pie desert was spectacular. It has been a long time since I have had a desert this complex and flavourful. The service was absolutely on point and we had a great overall experience. I feel good about highly recommending this restaurant!
Great portions and atmosphere. Brussel Sprouts were excellent and servings big. The sprouts sauce was a good addition to the bao bun (should have that as a small accompaniment). A bit heavy on the avocado on the avocado toast bit overall
Amazing ambivalence, food was next level! Favor, proportions… Dylan was top notch
Friendly, funky, fun. Weird in the best way. Service beyond industry standard. An all around good time.
Had a wonderful meal from start to finish. Fun ambiance, tremendous staff, delicious food and drinks. Such a delightful evening at Whiskey Bird. The cauliflower esquites appetizer was amazing. Yakitori was perfect for a table for three with 3 pieces on each skewer. One of the best Tuna Tataki bowls I’ve ever had and the sesame panko chicken was amazing as well!
This spot was really nice. I like the location. The food was okay. Our server was super nice. I did not like the big dogs that where there. But this spot was nice.
May 15, 2025 ( Friday ) Mr Anthony greeted my party at the door and seated us. We had reservations for 11:30am, and by 12n there were a lot of guests arriving. Presley, our server was so great! She suggested the greatest drinks and the food was A1. We also noticed another server, Joe-Lis-sa, seamed to also be a great server for her guests. (Sorry for the spelling) Atmosphere was nice.
Candy was absolutely amazing!!! From the start she was bright, full of energy, and sweet, as well as welcoming. Her kindness and attentiveness were definitely appreciated and she created a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent and Candy’s recommendations were spot on! Thank you so much Candy!
I had an amazing time here!! It was a whole experience! The atmosphere was cute and amazing. The aroma had me ready to eat! Our server broke down the menu to us with her speech and I had no extra questions! Then we tried the food and were in awe! I had to save the tacos for last! The food just kept getting better. 😍🤤 🗣️Ask for Ri when you go!
Absolutely phenomenal experience! Candy, our server, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they brought us a handwritten card signed by the staff- such a memorable and personalized touch! And, of course it didn’t hurt that all of the food was both beautiful and delicious :)
I like to wait a time or two before posting a restaurant review, but golly, we will absolutely will be back; Asian fusion cuisine style menu. food note: from skillet to plate to expo line, then immediately to the table provided by team members whom are on top of service. Noted + noticed that the food doesn’t hang out under the heat lamps long at all. PS the bar seats are where it’s at, friendly, + very knowledgeable in food and drink. Too genuine conversations shared. Details to note: -restaurant offers a picture of their food online with the menu, catches the eye. -drink menu features their glass vessel in drawing format next to cocktail. -allergies noted all throughout the menu -pics provide what we got!
OMG. one of the best meals I have had in a while. These guys know how to do FLAVORS and combinations that are out of this world. We were with 5 so we just shared the whole night long. Here is what we had. Brussels sprouts, edamame, the skewer sample ( 12 out of 10 must order!!), the ahi tacos, the chicken tacos, the Thai noodles with beef. The cocktails too were amazing. The service was right on point. Not too much. Not too little. Not too noisy. I loved it.
Oh wow! We were going to eat at Bantam and Biddy but it was 30 minute wait and it was seriously crowded! I’m so glad I called around and asked about wait times. I was told by the hostess to come on and we could be seated within a few minutes. We arrived and was seated within 2 minutes. We absolutely adored the building, the table set-up, and the outdoor seating area, which is where we sat. We had great drinks, a great server, and amazballs food!!! Thank you to all the staff, we will be back! Darn, I forgot to take a pic of my dish. I ordered the LB Caesar salad, with Ahi tuna. So so good! That was the best salad I’ve ever had! There were no complaints at our table!
The spicy ahi tuna was not only delicious, it was cooked to perfection as well. The Mimosas was made perfect. Jack was an awesome server.
So glad that we tried this spot tucked in the Highlands. They accommodated our large party and the staff and assistant manager were so friendly. The food was exciting and flavorful, especially the brussel sprouts! Strong drinks too. It was a great vibe! You should try them out!
We had a GREAT family meal here! Short menu but lots of variety that appealed to each picky eater in our family. My wife likes salads, she loved the wb signature chopped salad. I’m eating clean, I loved their tuna poke. Our son likes to keep it simple, he loved their burger. Our daughter loved the caesar. Best of all, they got us in and out in less than an hour and we were early for our next stop.
Detailed update (2/23): Good food. We like it here We’ve been a couple times now and always rave about it for weeks later. Such a nice space with friendly staff and great dishes. The vibes are always a bit odd -kinda upscale but tables are very close, so it’s fun to see a few romantic dates next to a loud family or work group. Zero criticisms on food. It’s great. Just eat. You can’t go wrong. Especially the salmon, steak salad, chicken sliders, okonomiyaki Drinks are interesting but not my gold standard for a whiskey cocktail, and the beer selection always makes me go “huh” Constructive criticism aside, this is a great restaurant. Highly recommend.
Dropped in quickly after coming to visit someone at Emory hospital. Sunday happy hour menu. Alex our server was amazing. Got us in and out, kept our drinks full, and made great recs! We were able to pay by scanning a barcode on the table. Excellent food, great flavors, and great service!
Amazing service, thanks to Dylan! The rest of the staff was wonderful as well. Dylan was so sweet and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Great atmosphere. It feels very intimate. Food was 10/10!! Worth every penny.
I got a tuna melt with French fries. Literally so much food that I could hardly eat it. The price was great for the amount of food that I got. My only comment is this: I wanted to carry out rather than eat at the restaurant, which is something that they are well accustomed to. I should have ordered in advance, rather than when I got there. I wound up having to wait at the bar for about 10 minutes, but that was my fault. It's the only negative thing I can say, and it really doesn't count for much. Overall, I would highly recommend Whiskey Bird.
Had a great experience at Whiskey Bird! Our waiter, Dylan D., was amazing—super personable, easy conversation, and his recommendations were spot on. He really elevated the whole experience and made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Great food, great vibes, and even better service. We’ll definitely be back!
This was our first time here, and we're glad we came. The service and food were really good. The okonomiyaki fries were top tier and the chicken gyoza tacos were small but flavorful. My son had the burger and I had the salmon. Burger was good, but my salmon dish could've used just a tad bit more salt across the board. The star of the show was my wife's sweet and sour gnocchi. I'll have to get one to go next time. Thanks!
Went to brunch with a couple of friends. The experience was good. Food was interesting, had good portions and flavors. Pictured is the avocado toast with ahi tuna added. Brussel sprouts appetizer was tasty. Would return but if so will sit in the front room next time. Possibly, because it was Sunday afternoon, there were several infants in the dining room which was fine. However, a double carriage was definitely not needed in the middle of the dining room! That should have been put on the patio. If I am spending $30/person for brunch it does not need to be a daycare.
Overall, all the food was really tasty. The burritos are very good portion. drinks and coffee were really good. They did have a special strawberry Nutella crêpe for $12. I think it was overly priced for a single crêpe if they wanna charge $12 they may want to give at least two.
We tried this place last weekend. It was very good. We started with a mimosa and the Caribbean iced coffee. The coffee was delicious! I've since made my own version at home 😁 We decided to have the Peruvian chicken gyoza tacos as an appetizer. This was easily the most flavorful and best thing we ate. We had the Bao Benedict and the WB Burger. Both of these were good, but just not quite as good as the tacos. All-in-all, I'll definitely come back to try more items!
Whiskey Bird is a unique dinning experience in the highland area. I arrived during their happy hour and was excited to try a few bites! Starting with their chicken gyzoa tacos and fries! Both were hot and tasty! For my entree, I went with the newest addition to the menu-- which was the sushi roll. Overall, the service was prompt. My server was very knowledgeable and provided great insight on the inception of the restaurant and really pleasant. The vibes is impeccable.
First, it was a light day, and plenty of seating. However, the host had chosen to sit me(a single person) next to a table of six outside. It was awkward for both sides because the patio was empty. The host just missed the mark. But I digress, once we all got over the awkward moment, after I put my earphones in, my experience was fine. My waiter, Jack, made great recommendations. I enjoyed the lavender lemonade, the sweet and sour gnocchi, and the spiced cauliflower**. They were out of Salmon and the Ahi Tuna was raw. Thus, I had to request a side of Tofu for my gnocchi. Another minor but important nuisance to note was the inaccurate price listing. The price on the in-house menu was less than the price on my receipt. The menu was not updated. Overall, I would recommend. WB was on my to-eat list for some time. **Update: Next day-Leftovers review: My food was still tasty until it wasn't. As I went in for a bite of my spiced cauliflower, a very long straight brown strand of hair came with it. It was such a bummer. It had me all shook up. What is the protocol for the cook? That strand could not have been pulled back or under a hat. I would need some reassurance about the kitchen and cooks to try again. I HAD planned to return. The end. 🥴
Overall, the food was tasty. Our favorites were the skewers (roasted mushroom, tofu, octopus & sausage and shrimp), the chopped salad and the gnocchi. The steak and noodle dish could have used some more sauciness! The surroundings were a bit corporate-feeling and lacked cohesion. I loved the open kitchen, and I feel like making that the focus would do a lot for the vibes! I would’ve rated the experience higher but halfway through the meal, they opened an exterior door letting in a stream of cold air. I joked that they were trying to ice us out but when I realized it was almost closing time, I wondered if that was really the case 🤔 I liked this place but I had higher hopes & expectations given the rave reviews.
We went here for a graduation celebratory drink during happy hour. The hostess and atmosphere was great! The waitress was just okay. Nothing spectacular about her service. No one in my party enjoyed their drinks. They were a bit weak and nothing special. We ordered bang bang shrimp and the crispy rice. It was two fried shrimps on a plate, ridiculous for an appetizer and definitely not worth the value. The sauce had two much mayo in it. They really need to figure out what real bang bang shrimp and sauce is. It is definitely not two shrimps. The crispy rice was good minus the sauce on the bottom of the rice. Not a good taste. Overall - overpriced for flavors and value. We had a good time talking and decided Happy Hour is not the hour here. It is for the birds.
