Fantastic Omakase and right now from 6/1-9/1 go and take advantage of Koi’s BOGO deal. $69 for two to enjoy 13 courses is unheard of in NY. Everything served is fresh and flavorful. Staff is quite attentive and it’s simply a great inexpensive experience.

The service here is amazing. The staff are very attentive and constantly refill your water and check on you, which makes the dining experience very comfortable. The omakase was also very fresh and beautifully prepared. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back.

We’ve been back to Kimyo, formerly Koi, multiple times because their Omakase is great value for the price. Their 14 course Omakase is only $49.00 without drinks and includes delicious pieces with wagyu, caviar, truffle, and foie gras. Definitely make a reservation if you’re dining on the weekend.

We selected the 14 course omakase—it was the perfect amount for us to enjoy each without feeling like it was a heavy meal. Each was so unique and tasted amazing! You can really taste each and every ingredient. While there was a small wait at first, we were so grateful that the front of house was able to accommodate us with an earlier time since we arrived before our reservation. The restaurant was very clean, modern in its decor, and the chefs worked seamlessly with each other. Aside from the parking and traffic around that area (but it’s expected), this dining experience exceeded our expectations! Will be saving this spot for another visit soon!

Let me tell you, KIMYO Omakase (formerly Koi Omakase) has quietly become our absolute go-to omakase spot in the city. We’ve been 5–6 times now and it’s consistently fantastic. The fish is always incredibly fresh, the rice is seasoned just right, and every piece feels like its own little treat rather than filler between highlight bites. Course after course, it’s just clean flavors, great texture, and really thoughtful toppings. The vibe matches the food. The space is dark, chic, and comfortable, so it feels special without being stiff or pretentious. The staff is genuinely friendly, the sushi chefs are kind and engaging, and the whole experience always ends up being fun rather than formal or awkward. On top of all that, the value is unreal for the quality you’re getting. it feels like you should be paying more for what they’re serving. Big recommendation from us.

Our favorite Omakase place. The only downside is that they took dessert off from their menu for their 14 course omakase. But still amazing fish and service.

Chef Peter and the team at Koi Omakase made this one of the best omakase experiences I’ve ever had. My wife and I came for the 13-course BOGO deal and every bite was outstanding. Despite my shellfish allergy, Peter went above and beyond... replacing shellfish courses with wagyu and toro, and even catching a mix-up with a shrimp miso soup before it got to me. I’ve never felt more taken care of at an omakase. The food was top-tier, the service was incredibly attentive, and the entire experience was unforgettable.

Very good omakase. Space was clean and staff was friendly; chef was accommodating in regards to my allergies and offered very tasty replacement pieces. Fish quality was excellent and everything was delicious — highly recommend !!

Our friend group of 10 had an excellent time here for their BOGO deal. You certainly get a great value with this promotion since they don’t sacrifice the food quality for the price. We loved how spacious the place was even with our large group. It’s a large U shaped countertop with multiple chefs serving different sections. This was my first omakase experience because the typical omakase price point is intimidating to me, so I was really happy to be able to get a taste of the experience at a lower price point. I don’t like wasabi so I let the chef know and he was very accommodating. A few of us ordered extra of their favorite pieces, so there are definitely some good ones. You may be disappointed if you try to compare this to a $100+ omakase experience, but our group had no complaints and enjoyed it. The entire staff were welcoming and accommodating (we made a mistake with our payment at first but they were so kind to help us out and correct it for us). Highly recommend!

Really nice and chill omakase spot :)! I kept eating all the ginger, I feel bad that the chef kept having to refill it haha. But the sushi was so good! Melted in your mouth and everything was just right!

They have a BOGO promo for 13 courses for $69 for 2 until Sep 1. Finished in about 45 minutes. Fish is fresh and service is excellent! The fish isn’t as large and nice as their standard $69 18 course omakase but still a good promotion.

From start to finish, Koi Omakase delivered an unforgettable dining experience. The quality of the fish was exceptional—each piece was incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and thoughtfully presented. You can truly taste the difference in every bite. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxed, with a minimalist design that allowed the food to shine. It’s the perfect setting for both a special occasion or a quiet evening out. The service was equally impressive—attentive without being intrusive, and the chef took time to explain each course, adding a personal and educational touch to the experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-tier sushi and a refined omakase journey.

Had such a great time at Koi Omakase. The sushi was incredibly fresh and every dish was thoughtfully made. You can really taste the quality. The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the chef was so warm and welcoming. He made the whole experience feel personal and fun. It’s an intimate spot with amazing food and great vibes. Definitely one of my favorite omakase spots in Brooklyn. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been to this omakase place like 4 times already. I would say it is great for its price and I believe that it is worth every penny. However, I never had the BOGO deal that they’re having right now but I’ve been to their usual 69$ for an 18 course per person. I think they my favorites were the otoro with caviar, salmon with foie gras, and the Wagyu with uni on top. The chefs were nice and very friendly. I think the only thing was that one time there was like 8 of us and only 1 chef so it took longer for the food to be served.

I came here with my friend and we ordered the $49 omakase. The service was quick and efficient and the pieces were very good. I do have to say that I have tasted more flavorful pieces but for the price I am supriced of the quality and tasty pieces. I highly recommend this place and I know you would be satisfied. I also felt a bit rushed but the sushi chef took that into consideration and I also understand there is a window especially if there is a big party coming in next so I know that is nothing to fault.

I was excited to try this place during their BOGO event, and considering the deal, it was a decent experience. I appreciated their creativity in experimenting with different flavors. However, compared to other omakase spots in a similar price range, it fell short. The rice was overly seasoned, which overpowered the taste of the fish. Unfortunately, the fish didn’t taste very fresh - especially in the hand roll, which had a noticeable fishy aftertaste.

I came for the BOGO $69 13 course meal. The food was really good and I liked the creativity in the toppings - my personal favorites were the red snapper with chili oil and shrimp with uni. I had an enjoyable time! It was my first time experiencing omakase - I wished the chefs were more interactive and explained each dish more in depth. It felt like they were just rushing us out and the waiters didn’t seem friendly

I revisited this spot when they rebranded to Kimyo and my exp fell flat. Firstly, the outside is a bit confusing bc they kept the original business name. The only distinction was the Kimyo sign on the floor. Otherwise, everything else is the same. The biggest downside of everything was that a lot of the pieces in the course were CHEWY. I'm not sure why - maybe the quality isn't what it used to be or the fish had been a few days, but that tainted my exp this time around. The Miso Soup also didn’t have much of a Miso taste. It was good soup, but I wouldn’t call it Miso Soup. However, the chef was great and the staff were attentive. While it's a good deal, I probably wouldn't come back due to the quality of the pieces.

Tried the BOGO $69 13-course deal, which is hard to beat for the price. The fish was fresh, though several pieces had so much wasabi that it overpowered the bite and made me tear up (I could’ve asked for less). The space is pretty but the seating is tight and the room gets very loud. Overall it was an average experience. You get what you pay for.

We dropping by after summer street for some sushi, but was quickly disappointed in how bland most pieces were. The initial presentation was nice and liked how some people had decorative chopstick holders. I was shocked to see 3 pieces of sushi crumbled immediately upon pick up with rice falling onto the plate. The dining area was quite loud and could not hear the chef announcing what type of sushi was each. I tried asking twice if they could repeat it/ speaking louder, but likely the chef didn't hear over the noise. As such many of the dishes I tried searching first, so forgive me if the name is off. The sea bream was my favorite with a the char adding a bit of texture complementing the rest of the fish. On the other hand, the charred spicy sushi tasted of wet charcoal. The red fatty tuna was nice with a bit of a spicy kick, but the other fatty tuna had a bit too much vinegar mixed in. The prawn had a unique texture and was surprisingly plump, but the sauce on top was poor. One of the sushi had a piece of fat that slid off immediately upon serving. The eel was a bit sweet, but on par with unagi Overall, this restaurant can be a hit or a miss - I hope the discount was not representative of the discounted quality provided, but that they were providing newer chefs a chance to serve

Tried Koi Omakase for their BOGO deal 13 courses plus miso soup for $69 for two people, running from 6/1 to 9/1. The portions were on the smaller side but I still left feeling full and satisfied. It's not your usual omakase experience though like it felt a bit rushed with how quickly the pieces came out, one after another. The sushi bar is U-shaped and can seat about 25 people. The standout piece was definitely the king salmon with foie gras like so rich and buttery. The miso soup was okay though I wish it was served a little hotter. The staff was really nice and attentive, and you can tell they're working hard to keep things moving during this promo. Fish quality was decent and a few bites had rice that didn't hold up too well, but nothing too major. For $69 total, it's hard to beat this deal in the city right now. Fun experience and solid variety with tuna, scallop, uni, unagi, shrimp, salmon foie gras, and a hand roll to finish.

Came here for the BOGO deal and i guess we got what we paid for… the pieces of fish were extremely tiny and didnt taste fresh. I honestly couldnt really taste the fish for some of the pieces. The botan ebi with uni piece look questionable and didnt taste sweet at all like its supposed to. The texture was also really weird. The bogo deal was hard to pass up and i knew coming here that i shouldnt set my expectations too high sooo i didnt leave THAT disappointed lol. But overall, i would probably not return. The place is huge. I’ve never seen an omakase place seat this many ppl. Service was fine. They actually accommodated us bc we showed up half an hour late to our resy (we had a work emergency and had to drive from queens) so i appreciate them still seating us.

2025.08 a bit disappointing, mass production omakase, fish are pre-prepared, touch by multiple chef. 13 course in 40 min, too rush. All sushi are a bit salty, all taste abt the same. Mini size, nothing really special, no omakase feel at all, if not buy one get one, I don’t really think it is worth it. Few sushi are spicy and no special fish at all. Crazy noisy. Barely can hear the Chef tell me what sushi I m getting. All sushi are same sauce except the top. Worth it or not!
