I moved about 10-15 minutes from Tender a few months ago and I’ll start by saying this has become a weekly obsession. Everytime my girlfriend and I go we’re welcomed by the employees, the food is cooked to perfection, and the drinks are well made. The GM Chris I believe came over to check on us and talked for a little while. Recommended me his favorite jalapeño mango margarita which was an hit. Another employee Rico, has come over several times when we visit and made us feel at home and like family. His recommendation was the banana pudding. The mixed brisket sandwich on Texas toast is my go to. For breakfast, the same but with bacon and an egg and it’s a home run everytime. Juicy, tender yet crispy on the edges. Toast is nicely buttered and brings it all together. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, if you’re looking for some good BBQ this is the place to go. As a plus my lady and I love to sit in the different themed booths every time we go and we always look up the Bible verse painted in our booth!

Tender Smokehouse in Aubrey absolutely delivers on every level! From the moment we walked in, the aroma alone told us we were in for something special. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfect, the ribs fell right off the bone, and the sides were just as impressive especially the mac and cheese and beans! What really stood out, though, was the incredible service. Manager Chad went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He checked on our table personally, made great recommendations, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. It’s rare to see that level of pride and hospitality these days, and it truly made our visit exceptional. If you’re anywhere near Aubrey, Tender Smokehouse is the place to go. Great food, great atmosphere, and a team that truly cares. Huge thanks to Chad and the crew for setting the bar high and we can’t wait to come back!

Tender Smokehouse in Aubrey is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — they made us feel right at home. The food was beyond delicious — rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was a reminder of why great barbecue is worth savoring. Tenders breakfast is one of the best breakfasts in DFW. I had the traditional with brisket and added the pancake. Chefs Kiss! What even heightened my experience. Rico was an outstanding cashier / host. You guys definitely have a top-tier team member.

Great food, great people, great ambiance. I'm not from Texas, and compared to the BBQ in Oregon, this place is fantastic. I ordered the fatty brisket and sausage. Both exceed my expectations. I would certainly come here again on my next visit to Prosper. Thank you!

I ordered "El Jefe," and it definitely didn't disappoint! It came with basically all the meats in one sandwich. Their smoked meats will have you wanting seconds! Oh, and the ribs on top of the sandwich was awesome. Lol. The ranch style beans with brisket in it was solid. And their house BBQ sauce was fire!!! The service was excellent with friendly staff, and the atmosphere was a vibe. I can only imagine how weekend nights are!😆

I had no idea what to expect going to this place. I just wanted something hearty. Ordered the brisket (half lean half moist) and this was the BEST brisket I've ever had. The BBQ sauce is ELITE! The beans are from God himself! I can't wait to get back here and eat some more! Also, the service was top notch! People there were so kind! It lifts the spirit.

2021 Dec 22: This place has the most tender brisket I've ever had. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The manager even came to our table with good-sized samples of their banana pudding which turned out to be the fluffiest and tastiest I've had. Update: returned the next day for breakfast. The "biscuit and brisket" was 2 palm-sized biscuits covered in gravy and tender chunks of brisket. The order came with 2 eggs. When served, I asked for a little more gravy because it was so delicious. The waiter brought it quickly and with a smile. I have to say that everyone who works there were always smiling and friendly. Top notch service. Both visits here with family has been great! The value of each person's meal exceed the the price. I can't write enough to say how amazing the food and staff are.

Had the brisket, sausage, Mac n cheese, and banana pudding. Overall good, recommend the moist brisket as the regular is dry.

I visited last Friday for a football sized potato, with meat. It wasn’t a football sized potato. It was a regular sized potato with a nice amount of brisket and I paid $15 for it over $16 with tax. and personally, I’m not a fan of the sweet pickles with barbecue. The brisket was cooked Ok. The sauce was OK but very expensive..

The service was great, and the staff—especially the lady who helped us—was very friendly. However, for the $70 spent, the food did not meet expectations. This was our first time here, and we were extremely underwhelmed. The meat had a burnt taste—not the usual smoked flavor—and even with barbecue sauce, it still wasn’t enjoyable and tasted subpar. The barbecue beans tasted more like chili, and the mac and cheese tasted like plain noodles. We did finish as much as we could because $70 isn’t cheap, and we didn’t want to waste it. The food was edible, but it simply wasn’t good. For the price point, we expected much better quality. It’s disappointing, and I would recommend taking the other reviews into consideration. On a positive note, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the people working there were very kind.

Alright I won’t lie, everyone in Aubrey says this is THE spot to eat. That’s probably because Aubrey has nothing to eat to begin with anyways, besides fast food and canned beans. Let me start on a good note, the service. Service was phenomenal, team members here were friendly and helpful and the manager made it a point to do a circle and greet everyone. Service here is actually above and beyond most restaurants I would say. Atmosphere, solid. Indoor and outdoor seating. Appears to be a dog friendly patio too but don’t quote me on that, verify before please. Now for the food. My goodness, that was awful for the price. 0 seasoning whatsoever. Couldn’t taste anything except the smoke. Needed to basically pour bbq sauce over the meat to get it down and felt kind of gross about it afterward. The Mac and cheese was also not very cheesy and pretty bland. It was underwhelming and underimpressive to say the least however, I could see why in a town that almost nothing useful exists in, this would be the only casual sit down option. Once again service was great, maybe swap a cook or a recipe or something.

I had Tenders for ths first time. The barbecue was definitely cooked well and came out juicy, which was a good start. However, there was a strange taste at the end of each bite that was not so pleasant. It almost tasted like a chemical, something was used during the cooking process that shouldn't have been. Overall, I wouldn't say it was the best experience.
