The best place around.. hidden gem.. great food. Maria's is one of the best stops you can do. Plus if you see her taco truck in a parking lot, stop by for a great lunch. She also is a great supporter of local sports, and gives back to them. Plus any corporate events she will bring her taco truck. This a must stop place to grab some delicious food and drinks.

Al Pastor was 🔥 . Carnitas was good too but Al Pastor was my favorite. I got 4 tacos and it was plenty. Guac portion a little small for the price. Service was 5 ⭐️ This is going to be our regular stop when coming up to Tahoe

We were on the way to Tahoe from San Francisco for my soon to be sister-in-law‘s bachelorette. We stopped here for a quick bite for lunch. Such a cute little place that was perfect for a stop. We all got our food super quickly, even though there was only two people working in the service was amazing. The staff were really friendly, even though they were serving a lot of people, I really commend their hard work and effort. The food was great and we will definitely be back when we go to Tahoe again.!

My friend recommended we have lunch here since we both LOVE Mexican food — and we’re so glad we did! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Maria. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out — so helpful and caring toward her customers. Our meal was absolutely delicious and clearly made with LOVE. Everything tasted fresh, and the portion sizes were generous and satisfying. The staff was super friendly and courteous, and the overall vibe of the place was fantastic. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio — plenty of shade and misters kept it cool and comfortable for dining. I highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t tried this spot yet. It’s conveniently located right off Highway 80 at the Forest Hill exit. Be sure to say hi to Maria when you visit! We’ll definitely be back — we had such a great experience!

Love Maria's. The food is so fresh and delicious. The service is quick and easy. Very friendly faces to greet and help you. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating. We happened to see the sign from the highway and boy am I glad we stopped! I tried the Rolled Potato Goodness special that was recommended, and it exceeded my expectations! Perfectly prepared and seasoned, I couldn’t have asked for better. Come prepared to enjoy!

Maria's Mexican is my favorite Mexican food in Auburn. The food is absolutely delicious, and it is not only quick, but consistently good. I would suggest the taco salad, quesadilla and the super burritos since I frequently order these. I also suggest eating outside. The outdoor seating is comfortable and surrounded with different flowers and small trees in containers.

Porkie tacos (pork belly) AMAZING, shrimp taco super good and my partner had smoked tuna taco. They called it seafood bacon. He said they were AMAZING also. Drank horchata which was very yummy. Finished off dinner with a hot fresh chocolate churro and a raspberry churro. Great food we will be back.

Food was off the charts! Definitely the best Mexican food in the area! Extremely friendly people working here and Maria herself is just so warm and welcoming. You can sit on their patio in the heat of summer and enjoy yourself due to their misters and shade structure. Surrounded by plants, feels like an tropical oasis! 10/10 highly recommend

Maria's is such a delight! The last time I was here was roughly 10 years ago and I thought I had been romanticizing the past, but it was as good as I remember! The tamales was perfect, the masa was done to perfection! The flavor was balanced and authentic! The sope was delicious as well! And is still my favorite dish there! The Guacamole is worth the price! It's so delicious and priced below the competition! Granted I live in the Bay Area so the prices are well below what I'm accustomed to, but even compared to local menus the value is amazing! The restaurant is always clean and welcoming with nice music and a great ambiance. I've always loved the service, but Maria remembers me from high school and always greats me with a hug, however I cannot imagine someone having a bad experience unless they created it themselves, when two people came in that appeared to have a life more difficult than my own came in to use the facilities Maria not only treated them with dignity and respect, but also offered them food and a table. My love for this restaurant and the wonderful owner was definitely reinforced today after a long decade of not being in auburn to eat here!

Food is pretty good here. The restaurants a little small, so this wouldn't be a place for like big family dinners or anything, but for a couple going out for a little Mexican style bite to eat ... This place is pretty good. She also has a taco truck which I think makes a lot of people happy.

Heard a lot about the delicious tacos. Wasn't too impressed. The meat needed more seasoning, and the corn tortillas didn't seem too fresh. Menudo was ok. It was spicy. Chips were alright. Salsa was hot but lacked flavor. Tamales were dry. Green sauce was good.
