This place is amazing!!! The decor and vibe were so cool and the servers were so friendly. The food and drinks were out of this world! We had the avocado on toast, scrambled tofu and overnight oats. All of it was so tasty! Cannot recommend enough for anyone nearby or in the area. You must visit! Thanks for a great time you guys! X
Warm and inviting atmosphere with local artists’ work up for sale. Coming in at 10am on a Sunday, there was a slight wait for a table for 2, but we were seated soon after checking in. Food was nice and fresh, with great service. Parking is a bit difficult, but definitely worth it!
Bouldin Creek Cafe is a great Austin spot for a comforting, flavorful meal with a laid-back vibe. I ordered the cornbread and it came out hot, tasted excellent with butter, and felt like the perfect start while everything else was coming together. The jackfruit curry was the highlight—rich, well-seasoned, and genuinely satisfying, with a portion size that was just enough to leave you full without feeling weighed down.
Lovely place! A bit of a wait but wasn’t too bad. The server was suuuuper nice. I love that they have fair wages for employees and the server explained when it came time for the check. Huge option list and it’s all vegetarian and vegan friendly. Was genuinely blown away. Had the corn muffin cake thing with lavender coffee and loved it. Bf had pasta which was amazing too. When ordering too the server made sure to ask about vegan or dairy butter or milk options. Very happy to have visited and will definitely go super regularly! Oh also there’s parking in the back
I would give this place a 10 star if possible, cause 5 just feels average. This place is pure perfection! The scent lured me in, I was visually captivated, had the best most amazing server, and a perfect meal. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful, you can tell it’s made with love. There’s plenty of parking, and both indoor and outdoor seating. Love love love it here!!! Thanks for all the teamwork y’all!
Bouldin Creek Cafe is a truly wonderful, fantastic sanctuary for those of us with dietary restrictions that prevent us from being able to eat like normal people. It’s a new age cafe with a warm atmosphere and a wonderful staff. Several times I’ve asked for specific ingredients in foods and they have answered every single time, with one waitress actually pulling out a binder just to double check for me! The staff will go above and beyond. I came alone one evening and was lucky enough to have Damon as my waiter, as well as another waiter who was also awesome, and both treated me like a princess! I’d recommend the visit most certainly and especially for those of us longing for a cafe experience with great service. You can leave with a full belly, feeling wonderful all the way around, knowing you are still following your health needs! The Kool Hummus sandwich is my favorite so far. Be aware that there’s a decent amount on the menu with soy, if you’re looking to avoid that. Just ask them and they will tell you, or ask for alterations! The staff is friendly and happy to help. They also support small businesses by selling art on their walls, which I found to be incredibly cool! ** A note regarding the gratuity fee, it counts as the tip and is 20% every time. I’ve yet to get a waiter who deserves less than that, so to me it takes off the stress of having to calculate it myself. I definitely think it greatly contributes to the lovely atmosphere. They are willing to go above and beyond because they know that they will be getting paid fairly no matter what, and anything extra would just be the cherry on top! I’ve gotten 30% tip level service every time with no pressure to go beyond what I can afford!
If you’re into vegetarian or vegan food—or even if you’re not—this place is 100% worth checking out. The food is excellent across the board, but I’m still dreaming about that breakfast blueberry cornbread. It’s moist, flavorful, and honestly one of my favorite brunch items anywhere. The vibe is so Austin—cool, creative, and relaxed without trying too hard. They’ve got plenty of indoor seating plus a great outdoor area that’s perfect on a nice day. I also love that they have a bar with solid beer, wine, and cider options. It makes it feel more like a hangout spot than just a restaurant. And the desserts? So good. Definitely save room.
As a vegan in Austin, I have tried quite a few spots, but always look to try out more places. Especially with all of the TikTok hype, this was on my radar and I finally had the chance to experience it for myself. Side note: If you are an entrepreneur or creative looking to collaborate, be intentional about where you choose to have a meeting. This is one of those places where, even if the other person does not show up, you will still have an incredible experience on your own. From the moment I came to the moment I left, my experience was everything I needed and more. I had already looked over the menu beforehand, so I knew exactly what I wanted which was the Tostada lunch plate and the Lady Bird salad. If I’m not mistaken, Gwyneviere was my server, and she was wonderful. She initially offered me a vegan cinnamon roll, which I declined while placing my order. I also noticed they had a mocktail list so I tried their Free N Easy IPA with ZERO alcohol, which I loved and ended up ordering two.🤭 The Tostada plate was very filling, so much that I had to box the salad to go. Before leaving, I did take Gwyneviere up on her original offer of the cinnamon roll and I am so glad I did. Everything I ordered was vegan and absolutely delicious. I ended up eating the salad the next day, and when I tell you it tasted like it came straight out of the kitchen, the ingredients were still fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. It is absolutely deserving of all the hype it has received, and I will definitely be returning as I continue exploring more vegan options in Austin.
This chaotically busy little cafe served up some really good flavors on a Friday evening! There is some open seating at long tables and at the bar along with tables throughout the restaurant. I ordered a bulgogi bowl and a chagaccino. Both were surprisingly full of flavor and very fun to eat/drink. The chagaccino (no caffeine) was not too far off of a latte in flavor. The bulgogi bowl was spicier than I expected but very delicious. If you're in the area an want something fresh, I would highly recommend this place.
Oh my god! Delicious and good for you! ever had Easily the best vegan queso I've ever had, the best chickpea salad sandwich I've ever had (on big ol' Texas toast), and the tastiest warm alcoholic drinks (something we have trouble finding in Wisconsin where they should be more common) Also, very friendly and patient staff. They were always attentive and kind. I definitely got the impression that whoever was available would help out, whether or not they were 'your server'. Take a bow Bouldin Creek Cafe; you've touched this vegan's heart (and stomach)
Was hesitant to come here but was pleasantly surprised since it was completely vegetarian. I’m used to having meat for breakfast. The omelet was so good and not too heavy so I can be productive after breakfast. It’s a great place to grab breakfast after a nice run in the morning. The drinks are great too. Staff is friendly and helpful with the menu.
I stopped by Bouldin Creek Café for lunch with friends and had an excellent experience. The moment I walked in, the place felt lively and welcoming the kind of Austin vibe that’s colorful, artsy, and full of good energy. The staff were friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re craving creative vegetarian dishes or just want a relaxing spot with great coffee and a fun atmosphere, this café hits the mark. Overall, a wonderful lunch spot with great people, great food, and a vibrant atmosphere. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!
The food here is amazing. I absolutely love it. Especially jackfruit curry. I also ordered chagaccino. I don't remember exactly what I said to the barista but I think he made my latte a little mix of chagaccino and masala mocha, since I could taste chai spice in there. Everybody here is like family, I can tell. I asked to sit facing the window/front. I didn't know that area is for people waiting to pickup food. Sorry for causing more work for everyone working that day.
Bouldin Creek Cafe is a hip, vibrant all-day spot that’s a paradise for vegetarians. I went for the sesame tofu stir-fry paired with a refreshing chilled spicy ginger beer — every bite and sip was spot on. The staff is friendly and attentive, with gratuity conveniently included. Be aware that parking can get tricky during peak hours, but it’s well worth the effort.
I am not vegetarian or vegan, but happened to come upon this place while looking for coffee and a place to work for a few hours while in town. I have traveled worldwide and this was by far one of the best omelets I have ever had! Hostess incredibly nice and staff was attentive. I will 100% be coming back when I'm in town again!
I love this place. Staff is great, huge vegan menu, business is committed to progressive community building. It gets packed on the weekends so I prefer to come during the week, but anytime you can get a seat is a great time to come. Also look how beautiful this Moroccan summer bowl was. Incredible vibes 👌🏼As a vegan in Austin I would say Bouldin is basically the center of the orbit.
Bouldin Creek Café is hands down one of my favorite spots in Austin. The vibe is pure Austin, laid-back, artsy, and full of good energy. The food is fresh, creative, and always hits the spot, whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just love great flavors. Their coffee is just as strong as their community feel, and the staff always make you feel welcome. Every visit reminds me why this place has such a loyal following. It’s the kind of café that makes you proud to support local.
We were in Austin to visit the State Capital, and I was amazed with all the vegan restaurants. In North Texas where I come from, people don't know what a vegan restaurant is. 😀 There was a small wait because we got there at lunch time. The staff was amazing and very friendly. I enjoyed my Lady Bird salad, which was huge and filled with local produce. The ginger flavored lemonade was also good. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
“Bouldin Creek Cafe radiates warmth and creativity. The food is vibrant, flavorful, and prepared with care — you can feel the life force in each dish. The environment is eclectic and welcoming, with an artistic charm that invites you to stay and soak in the energy. The staff is kind and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful spot for anyone seeking nourishing plant-based meals in a high-vibe setting.” Reservations are encouraged
On a mission to explore iconic local spots in Austin, I made my next stop at Bouldin Creek Cafe—and it did not disappoint. The “weird” and cozy interior (and exterior!) totally embraces the Keep Austin Weird vibe in the best way. The atmosphere is laid-back and full of character. The food? Super affordable and packed with flavor. I tried the Avocado Toast, Predictable Breakfast, Chalupa, and Spicy Pesto—all were fantastic. It’s a great place for vegetarians, too. If you're visiting Austin and want something local, artsy, and delicious, this spot should definitely be on your list.
An awesome vegan place that feels like modern, visibly enticing and touches the taste palettes to a dreamy place. Loved each and everything and definitely bound to return again. With good portion sizes, the plates are good for sharing. Excellent service and a great vibe that definitely reminds you, you are in Austin. Had to wait for over 45min for the table and that wait is definitely worth every minute.

Amazing food, wonderful people, be prepared to wait for a table for weekend brunch! I've been here two times in the last week. Actually my favorite veggie spot in Austin!
There were so many great options on the menu. It was difficult to decide. Everything was delicious. I wish we would have had time to come back and try lunch.

Always a great experience. The bread and sauces used on their sandwiches are one of a kind. I was not disappointed. An Austin staple

Great food and wonderful service! We ordered breakfast items and were very satisfied. The fruit is fresh, coffee is hot and food is filling. Will definitely return!
Excellent food, fun atmosphere, great service. The herbed hash browns were so good. Great vegan options. Would definitely return.
We came here for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The menu is great, with lots of vegetarian options to choose from. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, and the coffee was especially good. The service was also lovely, our waitress was kind and attentive. The space inside is bright and open, with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. There’s also a patio area outside if you prefer to sit outdoors. Prices are reasonable, and overall it’s a great spot for a tasty vegetarian meal. The only thing that gave us pause was something we noticed when we arrived after 9 am. As we walked past the side of the building, we saw several boxes of eggs sitting outside near what looked like a storage or utility area. It was already quite hot outside (we’re in Texas, after all), and we weren’t sure how long the eggs had been there. That raised some food safety concerns. Aside from that, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. The food was excellent, and it’s a really nice place to spend a morning

Owners must be woke because wait is 45 minutes even though 50% of the tables are empty. Owners should learn to be AWAKE instead of WOKE.
