We always enjoy coming here the lobby is always clean, and the cashiers are the best very welcoming!!! Food is delicious!!!
My first time ordering from this restaurant, it is a small place but still able to find a seat. Most of them just have a bite and move on, but alot of people are just take away. I order a spicy chicken sandwich and I was surprised it was really good, the meat is really tender and I really love it. It comes with fried French fries, it is really thick, just nice, the staffs are really hard working, only saw 2 person serving drive thru and walk in customers. Maybe there more staffs behind which I didn’t see. Will definitely come again.
Great service, restaurant is very clean and the food is delicious!!! Definitely recommend!
They don't always have it, even when advertised, but the Smokehouse chicken is one of my favorite chicken meals among all fast food places. You get a real half chicken, one side and a honey butter biscuit, all for $5. What a great deal! You'll be licking your fingers for sure after eating this! It's not a super large chicken but for $5 it's a good value.
Love Churches!! Not only is this a TEXAS chicken eatery I believe it's superior to other spots. The pieces are huge and the flavor is delicious and consistent. I know it's frustrating to wait but it is so worth it.
They do there work very well. They are very clean . I enjoy buying from here. Food is not cold.
I have a churches chicken right next to me and yet I drive down to this one no matter where I’m at. The food is always fresh and my order is accurate:)
This batch of fried chicken seems to be freshly made and is very delicious. It doesn’t have a juicy burst, but the meat is very tender and not dry, and the skin is crispy. It’s better than the ones I had before. This place always has plenty of seating available, and the service is very fast.
Excellent food, MASSIVE portions, good price. Service is good as well. The beef noodle soup and scallion pancakes are ELITE
Our plan was canceled due to rain and we were just walking around the area looking for comfort food. Ended up wounding up at this cafe without meaning to. The food was DELICIOUS!! Authentic Taiwanese fried chicken and fried pork chop rice. The noodle was also a hit. The most surprising component is actually the complimentary soup. It was just like the soup I have in my hometown Taipei. Very delighted to find this cafe. Shave ice to end our meal was also above my expectation. Will be back next round to Austin.
I recently visited this place with a friend to beat the scorching heat. The place was beautifully clean and had some lovely music playing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. And let me tell you, the drinks were absolutely delicious! They were well-made and refreshing. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
We came to Coco’s Cafe for the first time to enjoy a Father’s Day sweets treat, and it did not disappoint! Their large bowl of shaved ice was only $6—what a deal! The portion was generous, and they didn’t skimp on the toppings either. Every bite was refreshing and flavorful, perfect for a warm day. To our surprise, they also served us free soup with our order, which was a cozy and thoughtful touch we didn’t expect at a dessert spot. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the service was friendly throughout. It’s always nice to find a place that offers great value without compromising quality. Whether you’re looking to cool off with something sweet or just hang out with friends and family, Coco’s Cafe is worth a visit. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back. Cheers! 🥂
I can't believe it took me so long to try Coco's Cafe. Coco's is a cute, little Taiwanese comfort food cafe that also makes tasty teas, milk teas, and other Asian beverages. I stopped in for a weekday lunch. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. They have a free, self-serve vegetable soup for dine-in customers. Quite frankly, I could eat a whole bowl of that soup and be happy. They also have some condiments for your food like soy sauce, jalapeno soy sauce, chili paste, green onion, cilantro, and more. I got the Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. The dumplings were bigger than I expected and super tasty. The dough was soft and the side sauce matched perfectly. The noodle soup was absolutely wonderful. I didn't make a single flavor change to it. The noodles were thick and chewy and the broth was ginger-forward. The amount of beef in the soup was unreal too. I barely made a dent in the food before getting full and ended up taking a ton home for leftovers. I really can't wait to go back and try more items off of their menu.
Coco’s Cafe is a gem for anyone looking for great food and drinks at an affordable price. The menu is impressively versatile, offering a wide variety of options that cater to many tastes. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or a refreshing drink, you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. If you’re unsure what to order, I’d highly recommend the peppercorn chicken—it’s flavorful, perfectly cooked, and an absolute standout dish. What makes Coco’s Cafe shine is the combination of quality and value. It’s rare to find a spot where the food is not only delicious but also so reasonably priced. This affordability makes it a fantastic choice for students, families, or anyone on a budget. The cafe itself is cozy and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy your meal. However, parking can be a bit of a challenge, as is often the case with downtown Austin locations. That said, the cafe is rarely overcrowded, so the slight inconvenience of parking is usually worth it. Overall, Coco’s Cafe is a great spot for casual dining. With its tasty menu, affordable pricing, and welcoming vibe, it’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
First time coming here was great! The interior was much nicer than the outside may appear. It was very clean and there is a ton of seating available. Service was also incredibly friendly. The boba was very good. Portion sizes are great and the tapioca was sweet and made perfectly. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious. Amazing portion size, came out quickly, and was full of flavor. The noodles were tasty and the beef was very delicious as well. I'm not usually a spicy person, but this level of spice was perfect for me. Spicy enough to have bold flavor, but I wasn't sweating nor was my tongue burning. Also, the temperature it was served at was perfect (I don't like when my soup is too hot to eat, but here it was perfect!!) The condensed milk buns and the fried chicken were good as well. Other than the food, they have a small selection of trinkets that are so cute!! It was fun to be able to shop while waiting for my food. Overall the food was really tasty and was pretty authentic. Service was so friendly and nice, I will definitely be back!!!!
A wonderful little place hidden amongst other shops, just a quick walk from Target (their drinks fit perfectly in Targets shopping cart cup holders) The inside looks waaay better than you'd expect, judging from the outside. Clean and neat with a pleasant staff. Comfortable environment, plenty of seating, and great options for food and drink. The picked vegetables is really good, a tad sweet and a tad tang; Not spicy in the least. There is even a point system for earing rewards via the Cash App (which allows paying as well through there) Do stop in and give them a shot 😁👍
This place won me over because of the staff. The young man working the counter was patient, thoughtful, helpful, and kind. He let my curious kids try taro milk and boba for the first time. He helped them come up with their first ever boba drinks: coconut smoothie with strawberry boba and strawberry smoothie with traditional boba. The coconut strawberry was a huge hit. My son wants to experiment with flavors more. He also dropped his smoothie almost immediately after taking his first sip. He cleaned up his mess on his own and the counter worker noticed and made him a fresh smoothie for his efforts. We will definitely be back. Awesome assortment of flavors and toppings.
The spicy tenders were fresh, but not my regular ones u could tell they sat for a while.
Tbh Coco's is probably my favorite place and my go to place. So then why not a 5-star? Well I think the way the food taste doesn't stay consistent. My usual order is Peppercorn chicken but for the last few times I've ordered it, it's either salty, bland or oily. The very last time I ordered it, the chicken didn't taste like there was any seasoning on it, so i didn't particularly like it. This time I got Pork rice and it was really good. You also get complimentary soup (it has carrots and cabbage in it) The boba isn't the best but I wouldn't expect it to taste like drinks from actual boba shops (since their focus is probably mainly on the food) I also love the fried tofu and donut buns so I recommend getting those. There's a good amount of tables and I've never had issues finding a table, even when there's a long line. Parking can be a little limited during busy hours.
very good boba smoothies! Can really taste the actual fruit plus it’s nicle creamy. & not too sweet. We got the mano, papaya, avocado & taro smoothies. The boba itself was hot, fresh, & tastes authentic. Really good crispy & light fried chicen. Fried onion pie’s ymy with it’s lemony soy sauce. Fried tofus done right too. Pricier than last time we came in but so are all the other boba cafes.
I recently tried their black milk tea with boba. I ordered it in person and wasn’t asked about any preferences (like ice level and sweetness level) so I assumed their drinks weren’t very customizable, but looking at their online ordering system it seems that you can choose your ice level and sweetness level. They also have a wide selection of toppings (boba, popping boba, jelly, etc). One thing I’m sure you can’t customize, at least with the milk tea, is the choice of milk. I believe they make their recipe with regular milk. My drink was on the sweeter side, so next time I’ll make sure to specify I’d like it less sweet.
Got the spicy beef noodle soup and the peppercorn chicken with rice. Noodles were tasty, very flavorful with generous chunks of beef, but it wasn't spicy to our tastes. It actually had some kind of sweetness to it. Peppercorn chicken was hot and juicy and paired well with the pickled cabbage that comes on the side. The free dine-in veggie soup on the side is a great touch! I enjoyed adding in green onions, white pepper, and vinegar. Next time would want to try their green onion pancakes, boba, and shaved ice!
It's hard to find decent shaved ice in Austin, and I think this place is on the better side. The serving size is solid, and there are plenty of options for toppings. Only problems I have is (1) the condensed milk tastes awful and (2) the staff don't seem to know the difference between some of the toppings. I personally would not order it again but would not mind having some if someone else ordered it.
This location sucks. I love racking up points as I purchase on my apps for future buys but at this location they don’t do earning points as you buy. Manager acted brand new, like she didn’t even know Church’s had an app. 🤦🏻♀️ and she was the GM. Really!?!? Educated your ppl.
They have self serve complimentary soup and I enjoyed it. We also got ground pork w rice, fried chicken w rice, sa Cha beef lo Mein, and green onion pie. I personally just had the green onion pie which was an appropriate amount of crispy and the fried chicken which was decent. My accomplices said they enjoyed their food (beef lo Mein and ground pork w rice)
I've been here a handful of times for boba only but finally had the chance to sit and try a few of their dishes. Austin is not known to have a great selection of Taiwanese restaurants, Coco's is one of them with traditional dishes like fried chicken and beef noodle soup. They also have a wide variety of boba drinks to enjoy as well. Coming here around 7:30pm with a friend, we had no problems finding parking (shared lot with businesses in the plaza) or getting a table. The noise level is low. Overall, we enjoyed the dishes we ordered (crispy chicken nuggets, ground pork with rice, curry fried pork chop), everything was average tasting, the pork could've been more tender. The prices are fair. I'd recommend coming here for a quick, casual meal/snack or boba trip.
What happened to yalls CHICKEN sandwich? Looks like a Tyson patty I could buy way cheaper at the store. Disappointing from a CHICKEN place
I love this cafe but today i was pretty disappointed as i had ordered extra pork and got only TWO pieces when i was home. Normally the portions for the shrimp and pork noodle soup have 4 or 5 pieces of pork but today they were pretty stingy and i only got two AND we paid extra 🫠. Will come back but this is the second time this has happened when it comes to ordering food online or getting to go boxes. Thai drink was good but not happy about their protein portions.
So I had a very bad experience at the drive-through window, where they rung up my order incorrect when I went to explain to the lady that my order was not correct and that she had charged me for a drink when I asked for a strawberry pie another associate came to the window name Ben he was very slick At the tongue when I formed that he was not going to speak to me in that manner because I had corrected them. He became all right. All of this is on the cameras and side of the store the Internet on June 14, 2024 at 1:49 PM and I pray that MANAGER sees this and can reach back out to me. I’ve also left all of the information on you alls website. Once then, seeing that I pull out my phone to storage take pictures close the window and walk off. I went inside the store to take more food photos and he kept his back turned if I need to come up there to identify him I will. also he was handling people food, waiting no food glove on as you could clearly see in the picture
place never has spicy chicken even at 5 in the afternoon. The Jalapeño bombers were very sad. They were cold and old. Cheese was dry and coagulated. tried this place 3 times and each time something is wrong with the order.
I don’t think ill come back to this location I ordered a chicken sandwich and got the worst sandwich ever
They forgot my peppers I paid for, my honey I asked for, and were out of a lot of sides. Today 07-14-22 the drive thru system was deliberately turned off! Lady said because they only had 2 people. Forgot pepper again and was given drink no straw. Peach cobbler was a biscuit with peaches on top! Turned into restaurant at day time and I left at night! On top of that chicken was disgusting!
I’ve been to this place a hand full of times. And it never fails every time I go here something is wrong or delayed. I’ve showed up at 11 am (working hours stated on their door) and they were closed. The lady told me they are closed because they overslept. Today I go thru the drive-thru and a lady tells me to hold. I literally waited 10 mins for her to take my order. I get to work and open my box to no fries, biscuit all torn up on the bottom and tiny pieces of chicken!!! This place has the worst service and I do not recommend anyone going here. This will be the last time I ever go to this place.
Ordered a large fry as one of my sides for the 12pc family meal but got this instead 🤨 ?!?! Double check y’all’s bags before driving off.
Took the employee 10-15 to come to the window. The food tasted old as if it had been sitting out. We paid extra for jalapeños and they forgot them. We paid a total of 29.00 and threw it out. Tasted old
Bad service,I went last night and order a go grande order, spicy flavor, got home and open it just to find out was the original flavor, not the first time this happend,my bad was not to check I but was In a hurry.dont go to this location anymore
Drove to this churches from Pflugerville because we thought this was the best one but once we ordered and the chicken home chicken was dry when you bit into it chicken had been sitting up for hours no seasoning so I called the manager and he thought I was going to drive back and bring the chicken yall need to do better with the chicken.
