I had the absolute pleasure of dining at McCormick & Schmick’s on Christmas Day, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The food was incredible—each dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a holiday meal. What truly set this experience apart was the phenomenal service. The staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and cared for, even on such a busy day. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the experience unforgettable. I’m so excited to have had the opportunity to celebrate Christmas here and can’t wait to come back for another special occasion. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for amazing food and impeccable service!

We had a big office Christmas dinner there and the food was okay the waitress was a nice lady but she did everything by herself and it took really really long time for anything to come out of the kitchen. Because they were trying to serve everybody my steak was cold and there was no butter to dip my lobster in. I had almost finished my dessert when finally I said please can I have my coffee. I think she was just overwhelmed but they should have had somebody helping her.

I had dinner at McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood and honestly, it was just okay. The food was average—nothing stood out or felt especially memorable for a place with such a reputation. Customer service was also just so-so; not terrible, but definitely not attentive or warm either. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype, and I left feeling underwhelmed.

Happy hour, update: calamari still the bomb! Burger was good, a salty sweet component would take it over the top. The happy hour ambiance was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the drinks and food fell short in taste compared to previous experiences. Needless to say, the calamari and seared tuna were still delicious.

It was an alright experience. Well, the food price doesn't match the amount of food you should receive. I can go to another restaurant, pay the same amount and take home food to last me 3ish days. Now I know why this place only has 4.1 stars. They used to have valet. No more. We got seated for a while and got no bread served. Had to ask for it several times. I ordered the filet mignon and they didn’t even bring out the steak knife. Waiting forever to get a server to ask for a knife, and then he’s gone forever. Waived another server, he run to look for it and came back saying that they run out!!! Finally they found it and give it to me when the food has already COLD. The food was mediocre. The atmosphere was really nice though. The waitress name Lindsey L had horrible customer service, she didn’t check on us not once, we had to ask other servers for assistance. She acted like she didn’t want to bring me my change and then had a smug attitude when she seen us looking for her. I don’t care if my change was $1, bring me my change and I’ll tip however much I choose to tip. Never again! Ruined our Valentine’s Day dinner.

1 star across the board. Made a reservation and showed up to what looked like a pretty lowkey night and was still told we had to wait for a table. While we waited, a group of people in basketball shorts and hats were seated before us. Restaurant was playing what sounded like EDM rave music over the speakers. Overall, no thanks. We left and walked to Fleming’s instead.

Worst dining experience ever. Usually, go to Capitol Grill, Perry's, Flemings, or similar. Had 5pm reservations, but wait, no big issue sat at bar. The two bartenders were professional and expedient. That is, unfortunately where , any positive comments end. We sat at our table finally, but nobody stopped by table for 15-20 mins. Finally went to front. Waitress came by after and took order. No bread or water provided or offered. We ordered along with another round of drinks. Took another 20 minutes to get our drinks. She finally brought water at that time. We requested bread. Another 10-15 minutes, then bread arrived. Finally got food 1hr 45min after reservation time. Requested bread prior to food, but we're ignored by wait staff. She plopped our steaks down and walked off. No waiting to see if steaks were prepared properly or if we needed anything. Requested medium rare received well done. While eating, I noticed an elderly gentleman in wheelchair next to use. His wife and himself went to the restroom. While gone, they cleared his table and reset. Upon coming back, he asked why, but he was just handed check in the middle of the restaurant. I could tell he was upset and embarrassed. That was appalling behavior. Not once did our waitresses come by. We contacted the manager and informed her of horrible service. You figure they would offer something to make it right but nothing was. I have had better service at fastfood than I received here. I will never go back nor recommend this restaurant to anyone. Service industry establishments need to take note. With current inflation and market you will soon find yourself out of business with service like this. Id be embarrassed if I was manager at this restaurant.

We made an 8pm reservation for a family dinner on a Saturday night. Our table was on time but, that was about the only thing that went correctly. My spouse has a seafood allergy and the server seemed unsure of how to handle her. They didnt have enough clean glasses to serve San Pelgrino or, read wine. All told we waited for 50 minutes to get a drink. When we finally got the wine the outside of the glass was filthy. We paid for our drinks and left. Ive never had such poor service. As expensive as this place can be to tell us you didnt have enough glassware? Ridiculous.

August 2025 Update: I went in for happy hour. Ordered the burger. Asked if I could sub the fries for anything else. "Sure. Any of the sides". I said ok, how about the Brussels sprouts. Check came ... I asked $6 for the Brussels sprouts instead of the fries? "Yes sir". Hmmm .. did she tell me there would be an uncharge beforeand, No! I had asked for a salad and was willing to accept an uncharge... which they used to do for $4. Knowing that Lindsey didnt bother to tell me beforehand that there would be an uncharge This place has lost the plot under the new manager (Amanda). Give it a pass. Amanda does not know customer service, just like her predecessor... Johnathan. Sure wish they would bring Thomas or Richard back. January 2025 Update: I have been coming here for almost a decade and spent a lot of time in the bar at happy hour as well as the restaurant. This update to my previous 5* review is meant to call attention to management. The most recent happy hour menu food quality is poor. The flat bread pizza is a poor comparison to what you were serving a year ago. Four shrimp as an appetizer for $12 is a joke. The Korean chicken nuggets had no flavor. And the Ahi tuna is a pale comparison to what you served last year. I have loved m&s. My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at the downtown location earlier this year. The food today was "meh" .. not worth the price

On July 1, 2024 my husband and I came to this establishment for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. It was our very first time. (2:30PM). There was only one other couple in the restaurant. So a total of four customers only. The wait time for the food was too long with only two couples in the establishment. The food was prepared by someone who has no love or passion for food. My husband ordered a 14oz med rib eye. center cut. It was dry and a poor quality steak. I ordered the salmon with shrimp, crabmeat, sun dried tomatoes and Brie. The only part missing was the crab meat and the shrimp. 🫤 It just was not a good experience for the price of our meals. We ordered pea risotto rice but there were no peas. The steak came with asparagus but we didn’t order asparagus because my husband is freaking allergic. The truffle fries arrived cold and swimming in oil. The asparagus, carrots, and bread were burnt. We were also given dinner menus during lunch. 😳 As we prepared to leave, I heard a lady ask an employee if they had to seat themselves. When we left another lady and her mom were standing upfront for someone to greet them. If an establishment has food and service issues then it is management. Unfortunately my husband and I will not return to this place. No wondering there weren’t many people in the restaurant.
