Very cute Barbie like hotel, great for a girls trip. Rooms are spacious and have a nice view of Austin. The bar has a pool outside, drinks are great, they also had a DJ. They have a pool table and Photo Booth. During the 4 th of July they had a tattoo artist setup there too. Definitely recommend, the staff was helpful and welcoming. There’s also a coffee bar at the entrance
I found Swim Club because it was connected to our hotel, and I have to say, the swimming pool theme is super cute! It’s definitely worth a visit just for the vibe alone. Atmosphere: They’ve got an actual swimming pool right outside the restaurant, and they even provide towels, which I thought was a nice touch. If you’re feeling like a swim, you can totally do that. The place is laid-back and perfect for hanging out with friends over drinks. Service: We had a bit of a wait, probably because it just opened and had a lot of reservations. But since we got there right when they opened, they managed to squeeze us in. I’d suggest booking a table ahead of time, just to be safe. Food: Price Range: $15-30 The lunch menu doesn’t have a ton of options, but what they do have is solid. I got the burger, and it was good, plus the Caesar salad on the side was tasty too.
I recently dined at Swim Club, and every bite was exceptional! The pepperoni pizza was perfectly crisp drizzled with hot honey that didn’t disappoint. The lamb kabobs were tender and seasoned to perfection, and the chicken skewers had a deliciously smoky flavor that added just the right touch. The onion dip with homemade BBQ chips was a delightful—creamy and full of flavor, paired perfectly with the crisp, fresh chips. And the lebnah was smooth and tangy, adding a unique twist to the meal. Swim Club is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for flavorful, quality dishes!
Came here to celebrate a friend's bachelorette! This was a wonderful option to spend some quality time together and enjoy delicious food by the pool. When we went, it was a bit chilly and rainy but we enjoyed regardless of this. It's also a beautiful spot for photos! Highly recommend if you are looking for something to on on your trip to Austin!
Went to Swim Club recently with a friend and we had a great time, our server Dani was really nice, she game us recommendations on the food and drinks. The food is just like if you are at the pool and want to order something fun to eat, not a lot of options to choose from but the food tasted great. The drinks are the best! so inventive and fun! Overall we had a great time. The had a DJ and the music was 70’s theme. This is a cool place to host a pool party for sure My only suggestion would be to perhaps have seasonal items in the menu
My girlfriends and I came here for an event and had a blast! Such a cool, fun vibe. They had an amazing DJ. I had the steak and fries and it was delish! I was there so long I ended up eating again lol. For my second meal I had a margarita pizza and it was one of the best I have ever had. The drinks were pretty good also. My favorite was a coconut cocktail that I can’t remember the name of now but I had 4 of them lol and they were delicious!
One of the coolest restaurants I’ve been to in Austin! I’ve only visited twice now and with so many places to go this one really stood out and was so unique! It’s inside of the old pool at the Downright Hotel - small menu but the food was good and they have really great cocktails. Lots of fun photo ops too!
Call me impressed! My experience surpassed my expectations. I went on a Wednesday night with a 7 pm reservation for date night with my husband on opening week. It was busy, but the service was friendly and we weren't rushed. The food was good; classics done well. The drinks were so much fun. And the vibe was dreamy and surreal. I felt like Barbie in Barbieland! I recommend making a reservation, so you can get a wristband to swim in the pool. I also recommend entering from the back of the hotel, so you can access the restaurant more easily. The signage inside the hotel was not very clear. But I will definitely be back! 💧💗
My husband & I came here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Kevin the Manager stopped by our table to check in. He was so kind & genuinely engaged. He asked if we needed anything so I told him I didn’t like my drink. It was too strong for me (nothing to do with the bartender) so he quickly exchanged it for something else. I appreciated his excellent customer service. Our server, Layne, was very nice & helpful. She offered us a complimentary pool passes at the end of our visit! The food and drinks were excellent! We had the shrimp tacos and Baja tacos. Lastly, the decor is soooo cute & the restaurant is very spacious. Highly recommend!
This place exceeded expectations! Taylor and Liv were awesome. Taylor was our server and he was attentive and fun to talk to. Liv helped us out, as well. I got one of their frozen drinks (shark in the water) and it came with a floater in a little test tube. The drink was so good. The food was better than I expected. The burger was so good, smash burger with caramelized onions and special sauce. The sweet potato fries were very good especially with the poblano ranch. We then enjoyed an afternoon by the pool. We got 4 chairs near the stairs and even got drinks served to us while in the pool. We will be coming back!

We had a work outing at Austin Swim Club and everyone had a blast! The pool was clean and the drinks were strong. Our servers Keila and Layne were very attentive, friendly and sweet. And a shout out to the host, Bailey, for also helping us! Good drink and food options and a lot of seating. They also have a pool tables and plenty of places to take cute pics. Definitely recommend.

This cute pool themed bar is part of the Downright hotel (formerly the Sheraton). When they did the renovations, they turned the indoor pool into a seating area for the restaurant. The decor is pink and turquoise and disco balls. The menu is small with tacos, sandwiches, pizzas and a few other things. My chicken club sandwich was great, and the fries were delicious. They have fun drinks on the menu, and mine was really good. It’s an easy walk to Moody Amphitheater. Check it out!
Came here from the Waterloo event and we were glad we did! Amazing venue! Pool turned to a dining space great way to repurpose a space! Cool 80’s decoration. Just came here for snacks too hungry forgot to take pics! Quick bar service. Will come back! My son was so happy!
OK, I apologize in advance because I have no pictures of my food or my drinks my bad. But in my defense, I was there for a happy hour and so I was happy! Food: So I actually ordered the tacos honestly, it was not disappointed if you have a pineapple allergy then you can always ask them to take it off, but that was really good and if I remember accurately was like $15 for three tacos that were good and filling not a bad deal . The frozen drinks were good and I know I had a tequila drink, and that was pretty tasty. My waiter was Esme and he was fantabulous! Like honestly continue to check on our large table. He gave his honest opinions about certain drinks and food choices. Could not have asked for a better waiter. I took a tour of the whole venue. It’s actually pretty cute. There’s like a little upstairs area, which is like a lounge and further back is a little closed off area. Where if you wanted it like some quiet while you ate, you can go there. I would definitely come back here and see a lot of ads for like events they go on so I’m gonna have to come back when it’s like lively with some more music!
This is a very cool looking place. As others pointed out, there was a delay in taking our order. After that, it was good. The waitress came back multiple times to ask if we need anything. We ordered cocktails and they were good. Food is prepared in the food truck outside. It was okay. There were towels available. It would be nicer if they have showers available for pool users adjacent to the pool. They were playing 70s and 80s songs at the pool area which went well with the vibe. They have a game room, good restrooms, a bar and seated dining. To sum it up, it’s a place for you to chill and enjoy the pool and colors plus you have cool place to sit and enjoy the food from a food truck along with some drinks. This is not a fine dine but a cool peppy place to chill with your loved ones.
The retro fit of the OG pool area was a great way to make this place look fresh & continuing with theme and color was on point. Who doesn’t love a little kitsch? Although we were staying at the hotel we didn’t eat here so can’t comment about the food (although one reason we didn’t was the vegan options were lacking). The bartender the night we were there was good and so were the drinks. Guessing the summer would bring more of a vibe in here as the pool was too cold to swim in.
For the pink lovers! This was one of the stops for my friends bachelorette party! The decor was candy to the eyes. I didn't eat anything but the food and drinks looked tasty. Theres a dining area downstairs that has a window which shows the bottom of the pool which was neat.and upstairs where the changing room/restroom is had a pool table,it was like a lounge. Theres no place to put your belongings so make sure to bring a extra bag for your clothes and swimsuit!
Enjoyed dinner. Limited food menu, but everything we ate was delicious. The vegetables with hummus is a great dish to share. I really enjoyed the Swim Club club sandwich. French fries were hot and crispy. In the restaurant you can sit up at bar level or down in the pool. All drinks are served in plastic pool friendly cups and glasses.

I got dinner here w friends and it was a great little spot for a snack! We got the chips and dip, fries, and pizza. The appetizers were great, especially the guacamole. However the pizza was not good and really greasy. I recommend coming here for their appetizers, not the mains. They’d be a great snack before going outside to the pool! The pool area was nice, a little cold in the water when the sun isn’t shining down on you. Overall this is a great spot to grab a snack with friends and chill by the pool- the indoor theme is awesome!

Okay look, 30 minutes in I was absolutely loving this place. The drinks and apps are SO tasty and well worth the value, and initially our server, Ritchie, was friendly and gave some great recommendations! The Labneh was absolutely stunning, the toasty pistachio and lemony flavors were strong yet well balanced. And out of the two mezcal cocktails I ordered , the Oaxacan Oasis and the Skinny Dip, the Skinny was an absolute standout drink with subtle sweetness from the coconut to balance the strong smokiness. Once the main course food began to arrive is where the problems began. A friend (whose birthday we were celebrating) had a less than stellar seafood entrée that Ritchie offered to comp for a new one. I said “thank you so much!” to which he looked startled? then said something to the effect of “ your pizza will be out in a minute“ and hurried away. Weird but okay. After that, his demeanor completely deteriorated. When the friend’s replacement entrée came out and I had had about an hour to munch on appetizers without my pizza arriving, I asked to get it to-go as I was pretty satisfied with my appetizers thanks to the many ($3) 1 serving tortilla chip refills offered. I was met with “It’s coming out right now.” and “I was just spacing out the food so the table wouldn’t be full” which was just an odd thing to say given the earlier out-of-place comment. The pizza came out, our waiter came over and made a loud celebratory comment about my finally receiving the pizza that didn’t land super well given our earlier exchange, and I ate a slice so I didn’t look anymore disagreeable. At this point, I was just super uncomfortable and wished I had just stopped at the Labneh and picked up some P Terry’s on the way home. We decided to take it to go and skip dessert. The payment situation is where the experience became truly unpleasant. Admittedly, we had a super weird payment situation trying to itemize the bill and pay for items for the friend’s birthday and should have just itemized it later between friends. Once it was too confusing and things became “messed up”, he left our table for about 10 minutes or so and continued service, which made some sense because it was busy. We waved him back. He super snappily asked our friend if she was paying the whole bill, set the Toast payment processor down, and left the table. After she payed we noticed her total was about half of the original bill price, and realized the bill was still probably split from when we wanted to itemize it and we still owed about 100 bucks. We tried to catch our server’s attention without disturbing other diners and though he saw us a few times, he wouldn’t come back. Thankfully, all of us have service experience and have used Toast before, so we found our table and paid the other two parts of the bill ourselves. We decided not to bother trying to catch his attention and just left the payment processor on the table at that point. Super bummed that this place disappointed so badly, because I did enjoy the drinks, apps, atmosphere, and service at the beginning of our experience and it did quickly become so busy that I could totally understand longer wait times on the pizza, etc. But by the end of it, I just felt defeated and ready to go anywhere else honestly. If you come to Swim Club, expect a very cute and quickly crowded space with a yummy drink + snack selection, but do not expect a “special dinner” service + culinary experience. And if you end up with our server, maybe just go ahead and see yourself out.

Would give zero. Service at first was fine. Table to our left arrived 30 minutes after us and had food within 40 minutes. We still were waiting for our second round. Upon realizing we had been there almost 50 minutes past ordering the neighboring table waived down the manager over after we finally got upset and were planning to do so also and once the manager was aware he brought the second round. However, both drinks were incorrect but at least he put a shot of who knows what in one of them. By the time we had our food it was basically an hour and a half after arriving. Both incorrect drinks were on the bill not that it was a matter of paying but it was lazy. The manager didn’t even put in the drinks correct. No apology was given for the over an hour wait on food in fact it wasn’t even addressed. The food was great but the service was horrible . Was easily prepared to drop whatever due to the hype but honestly it was some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had. It doesn’t take someone complaining to have to address the fact that you messed up. And bringing random drinks that are incorrect and charging is quite frankly comical. Seems like it could be a good spot but truly would’ve rather gone to chilis.
They will cancel your reservation and hardly communicate with you. First of all, the people here are extremely difficult to get a hold of if you are trying to make a reservation for a large party (more than 8 people). Almost a week after initially contacting them for a reservation, they finally confirmed our table… great.. HOWEVER one day before our reservation, we got a message from the restaurant saying they had to cancel our reservation. Why did they have to cancel? Because they “didn’t realize” our reservation was for 16 people, and they had a private event booked for that day. They hardly gave an apology and gave ZERO accommodations besides recommending that we reserve a time at their other restaurant in the hotel. This situation wouldn’t have been as annoying if they had better communication skills. The fact that it took nearly a week to confirm a reservation just for it to be canceled the DAY BEFORE is so extremely frustrating and unprofessional…
