Love their coffee and the atmosphere of this little gem! It's been an area favorite for a while, and while it can definitely get busy I've always had a good experience here.
Best coffee in Austin! Consistently fresh, delicious. I searched for over a month for a good espresso coffee. I finally found Trianon in West Lake Hills and they have always come through with an excellent oat milk latte, iced or hot!
Reliably serving great coffee drinks at this truly local business. No super syrupy, sugary drinks pretending to be coffee. But they do make a great hot cocoa. Great selection of non coffee drinks as well. Friendly, knowledgeable baristas. Comfortable place to relax with a coffee beverage. Grab & go sandwiches, bagels, pastries available.
Best coffee I've had in Austin! Seems the trend these days is 1 flavor of coffee: super acidic, but not at Trianon. They do a great job of having a variety of coffees ranging from nutty and earthy types to that bright acidic beans. They have a great selection and knowledgeable staff.
Best coffee shop in Austin and the best way to start your day! Great coffee and amazing people always there to great you with a smile. It’s like Cheers, but with coffee!
We are from Chicago. My wife just visited the store. She had seen a post on Facebook highlighting coffee shops around the country that roasted their own beans. Her son lives in Austin, and on the visit she just came back from, they stopped in and purchased a bag of roasted Guatemalan beans. Both her son and I brew with a French Press. Needless to say, both the cup her son made, yesterday, in Austin, and the cup I just made this morning, in Illinois, were amazing. Smooth, full bodied, and extremely satisfying. You can buy at the location, and you can also have coffee shipped across the country. If you are a true connoisseur, I invite you to stop on in for a visit. You won’t be disappointed.
I had a vanilla latte with oat milk and it’s probably the best one I’ve ever had. The place has a really nice atmosphere and it’s clean. I’m not from Austin but next time I’m back I’ll definitely stop by again!
Amazing coffee, amazing staff, amazing owners. Although I moved out of state, I continue to order coffee from Trianon. Their small batch, hand roasted coffee arrives super fast, fresh, and gets me going in the mornings! I love Trianon!
Fantastic coffee, good service, good music. Can get a bit backed up during busy times, but it is worth the wait. Taco Deli breakfast tacos in the morning, tasty vegan pastries. One of my favorite stops in town!
These guys have been around for decades for a reason. Despite Californians trying to shut them down and forcing them to move, they have prevailed magnificently. They continue to roast coffee beans in house and have many blends available to take home. Even their merchandise is rather cute. As someone who lived in the pacific northwest, I have become quite picky about my coffee and in turn the baristas I trust to make a good and proper drink. Everyone here has earned my confidence in every drink I order. This is the only place in Texas I can say this for.
great local shop with unique coffee roasted in-house, great staff, variety of tasty treats, and overall good vibe. good place to work if you prefer a little ambient noise as a soundtrack.
Trianon is by FAR the best coffee in Westlake … and I’ve spent years trying cafes in and around the neighborhood. They know their coffee well, so don’t waste your time and money at *bucks. I sense they treat their people well, which is a huge plus.
First tasted this great coffee at Magnolia Cafe. Found out from our server that it was from Trianon. Drove a way to their place on Bee Cave Rd. to buy some ground coffee to take back with me to California. While here I had an amazing little breakfast soft taco and a cup of coffee of course! Worth the trip. I'll be back when I visit Austin again!
Excellent all around. Abundant selection of coffees from all over the globe. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the ambiance is inviting. My favorite coffee shop in the Austin area. They even deliver bulk coffee orders!
Trianon is a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop! The staff are fun and friendly. It’s a wonderful and inviting place to meet up with friends or get some work done. Highly recommend Trianon for their coffee and community.
Great atmosphere here! The shop is very cozy and inviting with lots of tables available. The staff is warm, friendly and the coffee is fresh and delicious with many varieties in rotation.
Trianon has proven to be my favorite coffee shop in Austin...practically even with Genuine Joe in Crestview area. Always always friendly staff..Steve, Keyong and others are absolutely personable! Also, I love that you can just deposit 50 cents in the honor system bucket for refills! Coffee has always been very flavorful and there are different several choices of brew each day.
For a place that's buzzing with activity, this coffee shop sure knows how to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. There's always a quiet corner where you can sit with your latte and lose yourself in a book.
I am so grateful for this coffee shop! The service is great, the coffee and treats are great and the energy is nice and easy. Highly recommend!
Wonderful experience. Huge selection of coffee beans. First time I tried Japanese-style iced coffee (flash brew) and it was excellent. I believe this method really pulled out the true flavors of the coffee, and I enjoyed every sip. The staff was very friendly and took their time in explaining everything to me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I absolutely love Trianon Coffee! It's a delightful gem in our community, and the fact that it's locally owned adds a special touch to the whole experience. The owner's passion for their craft shines through in every cup of coffee they roast. The aroma and flavor are simply unmatched, and I find myself coming back for more every chance I get. If you're looking for a truly exceptional coffee experience, Triannon Coffee is the place to be! Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The kindest people work there! We always buy a few pounds of the Organic Italian blend ground for us to take home. The people working there are extremely nice and helpful when choosing what coffee to try. A friend and I always go in to have a latte and a taco or muffin. It feels authentic and homey. Does not feel corporate or like a chain! It is the real deal. Nice people and great coffee. You can sit outside at picnic tables too!
By far my fav coffee in Austin. I drive out of city to get this coffee it’s so good. My go-to is a Cortado with heavy cream and I add a little honey and cinnamon. Cute and comfy spot too. Super kind staff. So glad I found this place. ❤️
Absolutely the best coffee house in this area. Pricing is good, food is good, absolutely wonderful ambience and atmosphere and even a little closeted away hideaway spot within that you can reserve for different things! They also have roasted coffee beans in several varieties that you can purchase for take-home use as well and of course they will grind for you if you need it. Finally, they have parking, and the baristas are just wonderful! I've gone here for years and made a point to change my morning stop once they relocated because I like them so much!
My husband and I visit Trianon at least 3-4 times a week and have never had a bad coffee. I love the variety of drip coffee on offer. The owner is always super friendly. Seating inside and out and it is usually easy to find a parking space.
Loved them in their old location, and love them even more now. EXCELLENT coffee if you are someone that enjoys coffeehouses for more than the ambience. Plenty of parking and nicely lit. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a multipurpose conference room that you can reserve - a tradition they brought from the old place with a long table, etc, and a mix of comfy versus, standard table and chairs, etc. If I could make one improvement, I might add a couple more food options, but other than that, it's one of my favorite places to go when I'm in that area.
The coffee was great and the environment was EXCELLENT. I had a small meeting with some coworkers and we were able to sit in small, comfortable room. Will definitely visit again!
My favorite coffee makers in Austin! The staff are good people who provide great service. Ask for a short iced latte for a morning wake up call.
This has quickly became one of my favorite coffee shops. Lattes are reasonably priced, smooth and the staff is nice. They also have a decent variety of food items I think other coffee shops have gotten to lax on. Great local spot for sure!
I was looking for a new coffee shop to try out and stumbled upon this place. It was a great find! Good coffee for a reasonable price with decent seating. There is even a small conference room if you need something quiet/private for work or school. I was surprised to find a nice selection of coffee beans which I will be back to get when my supply runs low!
I cannot say enough nice things about this place. It’s run and owned by someone that knows more about coffee than anyone I know… the atmosphere is super chill and relaxing with a wonderful balance of diversity. Young and old come to hang and enjoy the vibe, grab some food and stay or to go. Baristas have been with Trainon for a long time are kind and cheerful even in the busiest of times. Pro tips: conference rooms and bottomless mugs! Come learn, come enjoy, relax!
Good service, great drink. I had a matcha latte, pretty good. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area
I regularly stop here in the morning for an almond milk latte and a breakfast taco. Their espressos are so much better than Starbucks, and I love that they have Taco Deli tacos. The staff is always very nice, and they have a great system down to move things along quickly during busy times. I also enjoy their iced mint green tea. Thank you!
My go-to local coffee shop. Love this place! Quick, super friendly staff, and inexpensive compared to a lot of other coffee places in Austin. Their cold brew and drip coffee is always excellent. I'm sad that they're moving from their super convenient location in West Woods but luckily it's only up the road.
Best place i have found to buy coffee beans in Texas. A fantastic selection and excellent quality put Trianon in a class of their own. I have been buying beans there since the early 1990s and they have maintained the same great quality the entire time. The staff has always been friendly; never a bad experience. Now that I live in Thailand I return yearly to buy a suitcase full so I enjoy the same quality.
The espresso here is made to perfection. Not bitter or sour and they source a whole variety of quality beans. The atmosphere is comfortable and calm and the staff very attentive. I love Summer Moon, don't get me wrong, but this place is cozy and the coffee exceptional. Cheers!
Recently discovered this gem. Really good coffee and croissants, plenty of comfortable seating, study rooms and relaxed atmosphere. Doesn't feel like a lot of Austin coffee shops where they're trying super hard to be hipster. Just a comfortable, friendly place that you actually want to hang out in.
Here is what you need to know before coming to Trianon coffee: It's tucked away behind and next door to Walgreens off Bees Cave road. Parking is shared with number of other businesses so it will vary throughout the day. Once inside the coffee shop itself is magnificent for those looking for comfy seating with outlets and reliable Wi-Fi. They play chill techno Rhapsody music spanning the last 40 years and never creates an atmosphere that takes away from the peaceful serenity of the location. Bathrooms are constantly kept clean and they have two bathrooms available. Employees here are super nice and helpful with the large variety of coffee flavors unique to the location that you can buy in bulk or try on the spot. It can also make custom Italian sodas with a variety of other drink options. This location does get popular in the afternoon with kids getting off school packing the building so pick your timing wisely. Otherwise this location also has a large number of tools to help you brew your best coffee at home as well. Only suggestion for improvement is they have a very low selection of items to actually eat. They have bakery items and breakfast tacos (Taco Deli) but those usually run out by 10:00 a.m. and from there they have a very limited menu to work with. So in summer a great place to bring family or choose to sit down and get some work done from your computer and plug in and have somebody meet you with even two meeting rooms to work with (conference rooms).
Trianon is my favorite coffee shop in Austin. The employees are so great and personable and the coffee is excellent! I cannot say enough good things. There new space is great! I am so glad they are open again!
Delicious lattes, beautiful Cafe, delightful staff! This has become my go-to coffee shop in the Greater Austin area. I love the Sea-salt caramel toffee in a latte. But the best part? The large is cheaper than any quality coffee I have found in Austin. I wish them the best and to stay open for years to come!
Makeda is awesome, soo friendly and helpful. Many drink and food options. So much to try. Nice vibe.
This is my favorite coffee shop in the Austin area for cold brew and for take-home coffee bean variety. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable.
Such a wonderful coffee shop. Excellent customer service, excellent at their craft. Emil took the time to discuss the pros and cons of different pour over and grinder options. The in house roasted beans are an absolute delight. The baked goods are made fresh in store as well and always please. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Authenticity Austin coffee house. Incredible selection and variety of fine roasted coffees at a reasonable price. Always crowded enough to have a good vibe, but always a seat available. Amazing staff that welcome you like an old friend.
Very, very helpful staff. I usually order a pound of Trianon Coffee’s Magnolia Blend ground coffee (as served at Austin’s fabulous Magnolia Cafe (“Sorry, We’re Open”) —great coffee!) and have it shipped to our home in the DFW area. I happened to be in Austin recently and decided to stop by Trianon Coffee to pick up our coffee. They did not have any Magnolia Blend on hand, but guess what? They whipped out a scale, measuring cups and a recipe card and hand mixed and ground one 1-pound bag and two 1/2 pound bags of Magnolia Blend for me while I waited! It was interesting to see how many different types of coffee beans/flavors comprise Magnolia Blend. This is not a glitzy and shiny coffee shop (thank you!) —definitely a home grown kind of place with a relaxed vibe—I can totally see us hanging out there, ordering coffee, and reading books. 5 stars for coffee, 5 stars for staff, 5 stars for atmosphere, 5 stars for customer service!
The first latte of my life was at Trianon in 2000. I was 11 and a student at Hill Country Middle School. It was the beginning of a life-long drug addiction. Back then the smell of burnt toast wafted over the playground at Hill Country every Tuesday. It was roasting day at Trianon. The first student to reach Trianon after school could earn a pound of free coffee for helping load freshly roasted product into the van. My friends and I sprinted like crazy children down the hill as if pursued by demons. In truth we were pursued by the demons of our hormone induced confusion, burgeoning existential dread, unwitting allegiance to the American doctrine of competition and our now firmly entrenched caffeine addictions. As my demons were the most compelling, I often arrived first. I took refuge in the golden-brown liquid peddled by baristas who were both friends and counselors to a lost child wallowing in the brutal ongoing divorce of my parents which had brought me to Texas. Trianon was a second home to me. It was a place of worship where I could experience peace and tranquility. 23 years later, I sit writing this review. Many things have changed. I am a fully grown man. Trianon is in a new location and most of the faces behind the counter are new. However, the latte I drink now is identical. Delicious and comforting.
Trianon had the smoothest coffee profile I’ve ever tasted- it was perfectly balanced and luscious. I ordered a large sea salt caramel toffee latte and was blown away by its flavor and the fantastic price. The service was excellent as well, and the building is really cute. Trianon is my new favorite coffee shop!
One of my favorites in Austin, great quality coffee and super consistent!
Best coffee in Westlake hands down .. friendly staff
Very intimate and homey. The service is always friendly, and the drinks are consistently delicious. I would highly recommend the Chagaccino and the Toffee Nut Iced Latte. They also have incredible bagels that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My favorite is the rosemary Sea Salt Bagel with Lemon Basil Cream Cheese 🤤
Trianon cafe is the cutest coffee shop tucked away in Westlake. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food, drinks and atmosphere are equally enjoyable. Highly recommend checking this place out.
This is an excellent place to discover great coffee. Whether you are a nerd looking for honeyed coffees (if you don’t know go there and ask) or you like flavored coffees they have it all. They have Geisha and light roast galore. Staff is AMAZING!!! They remember you and your orders. THE NEW SINGLE ORIGIN ICED COFFEE IS AMAZING!!! Also Kat is awesome.
I ordered online and showed up just a couple of minutes later and my amazing hot cappuccino was on the counter with my name ready to go! Good coffee, and great service!
I love coming here. I work nearby and walk to grab myself a coffee almost everyday. The coffee is delicious (better than other places/coffee shops around). I love the environment and their staff is always so nice. I highly recommend!
Trianon Coffee Roasters in Westlake is a true hidden gem—and now one of my favorite local spots for both great coffee and gluten-free treats. The vibe is warm and relaxed, with a true neighborhood feel and staff who are genuinely kind and welcoming. Their Iced Almond Milk Latte is perfection—smooth, balanced, and never overly sweet. It’s my go-to drink, and they always get it just right. Even better, Trianon offers a surprising number of gluten-free pastry options, which is a game changer for anyone with dietary needs. I’ve had the GF muffins and brownies, and they’re absolutely delicious—not the usual dry, flavorless afterthought you find elsewhere. It’s a comfortable place to work, catch up with a friend, or just take a quiet moment with your coffee. Plenty of seating, great service, and reliably great coffee. Highly recommend for anyone in the Westlake area!
Had such a great experience. The staff was so upbeat and helpful. We bought our first espresso machine and my husband heard this place had great beans. The woman working helped us pick a couple to try and told me about their mushroom coffee drink (so good!). We bought up their pastries, too. This is a hidden gem!
My go to coffee shop There signature dark honey is my favorite.
They have an excellent variety of good coffee beans. Their vanilla lattes, chais, and cappuccinos are very tasty. A variety of bagels and cream cheeses are here. Good pastries, & the staff is great! The owner is very easygoing. Lots of interesting people come. It's a great atmosphere for studying. Conference & private rooms are available online. It's a good atmosphere for writers & innovators to drink coffee, write, & create. The new cold brew is out of this world good. Private enough for celebrities as well. The iced Macha lattes are delish! The organic Uganda is delish. The warm fall Macha is very good with some vanilla spice. Chai with 2% milk brings out the flavor nicely. The Cardamom latte is "fire." It's delicious!
I love introducing friends to Trianon (like I did again today). They (of course) always love the coffee and the whole experience. Thanks you guys and keep doing what you’re doing.
It’s just a great, friendly, easy coffee spot tucked away in Westlake. Staff are equipped, knowledgeable, and friendly. Owners are all of those things, and actively engaged in the community. And the drinks of course are great.
Trianon is my favorite coffee spot! I treat myself to an oat lavender latte and a taco from Trianon almost every Friday morning. The coffee is the best part of my day! It’s tasty, strong, and consistent. The staff is super quick with the orders so you never have to wait long. They also have coffee beans from all over the world.
Cute, cozy and kind service. Both table seating and couches for added coziness :) A lot of snack options, including some gluten free items too. Coffee tastes great. Thanks!
Stopped in on a whim. Total Austin vibe coffee shop with great coffee. I have my personal rating system for cappuccinos and this was def in my top 5. Super smooth, not bitter and just the right temp. Staff is nice. Welcoming without being over the top. Will go back when I’m in the area again.
Nice and rustic place with homely feel. What I liked is that they have a microwave to reheat coffee to the warmth level that we like. This microwave feature is what I miss in Starbucks. Here yuu can sample coffee before ordering. Also noticed that they have a bunch of sweeteners and sugar packets and other condiments for coffee, everything is in front. Saw lots of people of all the ages enjoying the experience.
Offer, best public wifi speeds in town, lots of comfy seating, outlets, meeting rooms, variety of fresh coffees, and more! Highly recommend this location which moved down the street a few blocks years ago from their other location, two restrooms they keep clean, and a friendly customer service crew! Highly recommend this place if ever in the area and they have hard to find Clean energy drink flavors too !
First thing is I want to thank the staff for a nice cup of hot Cappuccino. I was having a bad headache and the hot coffee was relieving. Trianon Coffee is located on the RM2244 - West bank Dr crossing next to Walgreen's. Initially went for Walgreen's but then visited this cafe adjacent to it. Staff was welcoming and prepared hot coffee in a jiffy. Seats were placed neatly and ambience is very good. They also sell local bee- wax products like soap, lip balm & Deodorant, coffee machine and other coffee making accessories. Have a sip of nice coffee and enjoy #HappyCafe Edit: you can also order coffee powders online @ https://www.trianoncoffee.com/collections
What makes this place great is the great people who will make you feel right at home the moment you step inside. It feels like visiting a friend’s which is probably the single most important thing when you are out getting coffee- you wanna wake up feeling awesome. This place does just that. The coffee collection, the ambience (goes with the “keep Austin weird” idea), the internal decor- everything made my day on this strange out of the ordinary trip for getting coffee halfway across the city.Totally coming back to this jewel.
Cute place, great atmosphere. The photos here are a bit deceiving, though. What’s pictured looks like a beautiful cappuccino with microfoam perfectly textured milk, which lured me there this morning. My cappuccino, though, had dry foam, massive bubbles, overheated which kills the milk’s sweetness. The coffee itself is good. Expertise and consistency in texturing milk would take them to the next level. Stouthaus and Merit should train every shop in the city
Super nostalgic for me as I went here all the time in high school but the last 3 times I came, the WiFi didn’t work
This is one of the nicer cafés in Westlake, which I generally do not like I don’t feel the good vibe there but here I do. The service is wonderful. Bagels are great muffins are delicious. Their coffee is just very good and there’s enough little spots in the small small space that have outlets, which is always a pleasure.
The coffee selection is versatile. Alot of blends from all over the world. The African and Asian blends are my favorite. I thought I had good coffee all over Austin. This place has unique grounds. They are in a league of their own. The atmosphere is a bit stuffy and posh. Maybe bourgeois and pretentious because of the location.
Trianon Coffee is a cozy neighborhood café with good coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. The space is inviting and calm, making it a nice spot to sit for a while or catch up with a friend. That said, the selection of food and pastries is quite limited. If you’re coming for a quick caffeine fix, it’ll do the job – but don’t expect much in the way of snacks or meals. There’s nothing particularly unique or standout about the place, but it delivers on the basics. A solid, if unremarkable, coffee stop.
A hidden gem Literally, this local gem made a move a few years ago just down the street from their previous location. Trianon is now hidden behind a strip mall off of bee cave and Westbank road. Thankfully, the coffee and atmosphere are reminiscent of their previous glory. I enjoyed a nice matcha latte of fair strength. If you want to enjoy a nice cup or get some hard to find coffee beans, including gesha, this is the place to go.
Coffee is pretty good actually, but I don't go because of the energy. If you aren't a bougie west laker I don't recommend hanging out inside because you'll feel uncomfortable.
Everyone is usually very nice but there is a blond lady who is fairly rude, maybe just unhappy that I don't tip her for handing me a pastry or bottle of some drink. She barely talks and just pushes the items over the counter and turns around. I've thought maybe she's having a bad day but it's too frequent for that. Maybe she's not the best person to be ringing people up. Otherwise, love the pastries and the esp the hot chocolate.
Tea and atmosphere was very good! I looked ahead at the menu because I am allergic to milk and the food menu availability on their site isn’t accurate. I tried getting the lox bagel with vegan cream cheese, I was informed they don’t do lox, only bagels. I then tried to get a couple breakfast tacos minus the cheese and was told everything was pre-made so they couldn’t make changes…so heads up on the menu!
Coffee is good, service sucked. Went for the first time, felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome as the blonde woman taking our order made faces at us, talked to us in an very condescending tone, and made us feel as though we didn’t belong there. As someone who works in the service industry I would NEVER treat anyone as if they were less than me. Will not be returning but pls do better for the customers sake.
Great bagels. Great coffee (served in not so great cups). Congenial staff. Recently I took my coffee to go. Halfway through my drive home, the bottom of the cup fell out, and the remaining coffee (~5 oz) drained out quickly and went everywhere -all over me and my new vehicle. Hence, the mixed rating. Please get better cups!
My fiancé and I enjoy a good cup of Joe and this place definitely has options. However, I ordered a vanilla breve cappuccino & received a super sweet vanilla breve 12oz latte. Not sure if these guys know what a traditional Capp is but be sure to specify an 8oz cup vs. 12oz. cup if you’re wanting less milk. Baristas were super nice but there was a man who asked for our order off to the side who then proceeded to be annoyed that we didn’t know what we wanted. It was our first time so we didn’t know what our options were. Totally understand that it was busy and he was trying to be helpful but not cool to express your annoyance to first timers. Also wouldn’t recommend going between 8-8:30AM as it was sardines packed. All in all, I’d say give this place a shot maybe at off peak times but I can say I probably won’t be going back again.
Stopped in to support my local coffee shop today in lieu of the national chains. I've been out of town for a while and was very disappointed. Trash was overflowing, tables were dirty, outside seating smelled like a dead raccoon. I get self-serve coffee and leave a tip mostly for use of the property to conduct some business. But I was disappointed with the environment this time around.
Not what they used to be. They have moved into an old sandwich shop. And their storefront is hidden. And their inventory has shrunk. They used to sell JMB coffee, but were out after driving 10+ miles remembering what they used to be. Oops. Not ready for opening is what I felt walking in. Oh well. It’s a new city, and one that has been deteriorating since we left 8 years ago. Maybe their coffee is still good, so don’t let me sway your decision to try it, but if you’re looking for something unique, you might want to keep searching. I have moved on, in acceptance of the change.
Trianon coffee is as pretentious as a coffee shop can be. I got major attitude from the girl at the counter because I didn’t understand what she was telling me about my coffee order, which was apparently not an accurate way to order the drink I wanted. The barista was not friendly either and couldn’t even give me a chipper you’re welcome, when I thanked her for my drink. The parking lot is difficult and the bathroom is disgusting. The coffee isn’t anything special, so I don’t recommend this place overall. They have taco deli tacos and those were great, per usual.
I've never understood Trianon at it's first location but today is my time since they moved somewhere around 3 years ago. I expected them to hit the reset button on the look and feel of the place but they didn't. It's completely filthy dirty everywhere. The floors and so dirty and the mats look like they have never even been vacuumed since they were put on the floor. The napkin holder has food and gross stuff all over it and you can tell it's been there for quite some time. The furniture and tables is cheap, uncomfortable old and dirty. ALL the tables have some type of debris on them from past customers and it's not packed and the staff has time to come and clean them but they dont. I can see a thick layer of dust of the window sill and ledges. This place needs someone who cares about it. Coffee is not the best either. The staff, I can say is very sweet and polite. Trianon can do much better but they don't seem to care. This place seems to be on auto-pilot. I think I'll stick with Summer Moon down the street.
Was expecting way better based on reviews; maybe the staff today was tired. Definitely didn't use whole milk when specifically requested, milk was dumped unceremoniously without any proper care for it being a latte with a layer of foam on top, cups were the wrong size for the drinks, and the guy at the register was unfriendly. Also, this espresso.... Kinda sucks.
I’m not sure who the blonde woman is; but each time I have visited she makes faces, is very unhelpful and even has a condescending tone. I figured she was having a bad day but every time I see her it’s the same disappointing, uncomfortable experience. I’m not sure why she’s working in a service atmosphere but she makes the experience deeply uncomfortable. Which is so unfortunate because the coffee and pastries are great here! I’ve experienced other baristas that are very kind and welcoming. But the one with long blonde hair is continually in a bad mood or generally unwelcoming and unkind, she doesn’t even smirk or give a half smile 😩, it looks like she just hates being here, and makes you never want to return.
Staff acts like less than thrilled that you are at their establishment, barista shouts over the entire shop as the tables are filled with remote workers having routine meetings. The result is a challenge to relax or converse in a cacophony of voices in a space with not planned for this type of noise. It does seem like they have regulars that get in and out fairly quickly. So, that may be more of the intended model for this coffee shop. Grab and go, but don’t hang around
I’ve tried Trianon coffee a handful of times. I want it to be good because it’s so close to home. However, it’s just garbage coffee. It’s bitter and not smooth at all.
Incredibly slow. Ordered one takeaway coffee at 7:55..still waiting at 8:10 with about 8 people in the shop and half of them already had their order. Cancelled the order, got my money back and will never return. It shouldn't take that long
Burnt espresso, gross. I’d read online that it was “a tier above the rest of Austin coffee,” but maybe they meant a tier below? I don’t think you can claim to peddle excellent coffee and sell “flavored coffee.” And yes as some others have said, weird smell inside.
I’ve been to this coffee shop a few times before, and while the coffee was never amazing, it was usually okay—passable at best. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday with their vanilla latte was terrible. The espresso tasted harsh, overly bitter, and unbalanced—classic signs of over-extraction or poor-quality beans. It also seemed like the espresso machine or grinder may need maintenance, as there were noticeable coffee fines in the drink. This shouldn’t happen with properly pulled espresso and points to either equipment issues or a lack of attention to detail during brewing. The fines left an unpleasant sensation, almost as if the grounds were lingering in my throat. I’m disappointed because I’ve given this place a few chances, but this time it really missed the mark. I hope they improve their brewing process and overall quality.
Gross coffee... But at least they only filled it half way... I love orange lattes and was happy to see they offered them here. However the excitement quickly subsided when I was handed a cup half full of foam, and the coffee just tasted bitter. Zero actual orange flavor. Never again.
