I thought they had fallen off, but I went again recently. & they were back on top! Great food, very happy with the service & the environment.

Amazing tacos 24/7. He staff was courteous and the kitchen was super quick at 3am in the middle of the week. The King George and the burnt ends tacos were my favorite!

These have to be the best tacos I have eaten in my entire life. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and the Diablo Shrimp and I have been craving more ever since. The atmosphere is chill and funky. Very classic Austin. The people were amazing. And again, the food was out of this world. I cannot wait to go back. If I could give 10 stars I would.

They're smoking meats out back which results in the tastiest and most moist taco meats you'll encounter in Austin. Reasonably priced tacos and cheap beers. This is my new favorite taco stop! Fast and friendly service.

Tyson’s Tacos is hands down one of the best taco spots in Austin. The vibe is chill, local, and creative — exactly what you’d expect from a place that never closes and never disappoints. The tacos are fire. Whether you’re going classic with bacon and egg or getting adventurous with their off-menu creations, the flavor hits every time. The tortillas are fresh, the ingredients are top-tier, and they’ll even let you trade a good song for a taco. If you’re in Austin and haven’t been to Tyson’s, you’re missing out.

Update 6/10/22 I had a crispy pork belly taco here today, and it was one of the best tacos I have ever had in my entire life. In addition to crispy pork belly, the taco has fried parsley, fried hot pepper, pickled onions, and mandarin oranges. If there is a pyramid of great tacos, this one is on top! Original Review from 2020 You can smell the brisket smoking as you walk up Airport Blvd. I’ve always been a fan of this place, but today I tried the burned ends brisket taco and it was just right: perfectly smokey and a tiny bit sweet. It had little crispy fried onions on top. I stood up smiling after one bite and almost did a little dance.

Fun, colorful, and resonant of Austin's mellow vibes and Hispanic roots! First time I came I had only gotten Horchata to drink, nothing to eat. Based off of that drink I knew this place was a must on the return list. Second time, ordered tacos; practically swallowed them whole, they were so good. Totally a fun place to bring friends for a solid night and great food. Definitely would describe this place as somewhere I would go out of my way to get food from. Do it brav, come treat yourself to one of Austin's gems

This place really encompasses what Austin is all about. Not just the fresh and funky decor but the food is really something special. Going off just the names of these tasty tacos is also a treat in itself. Avocado Abogado pictured here but the Princess Leia didn't make the drive to work. Yes, they're that good.

AM👏AZ👏ING👏 not only are they open 24/7 but the both the quality and variety of tacos offered are suberb! Very creative and delicious combinations. The vibe is very lively as well, perfect for any meal of the day (yes they have breakfast tacos all day as well), or a late night take out fix. This place will do you no wrong! 🌮🤤

This place is definitely a Austin restaurant. The menu looks delicious and breakfast tacos were so yummy. They made the eggs on piont. It's a place to come back again for sure.

A friend and I spent a rainy afternoon here recently when we were in town from Alberta, Canada. We both had a brisket taco and I had a pork belly. I have a gluten allergy but they have corn tacos. The cans of ciders are $2.50 each and the rain refused to let up so we stayed and stayed and stayed. Met lots of nice locals! Would definitely go back next time I’m in town.

These are the best, most generously filled tacos that I’ve ever eaten!! Grilled ingredients are freshly grilled outside onsite. Staff were utterly charming! Appealing 24hr road stop. Cheery, interesting decor.

I stopped here because when your driving by the smell makes your mouth water! Wow...is the first thing that came to mind when my lips hit the puffy chicken tinga! The avocado chicken lettuce the corn tortilla and so much more!!!The Al pastor comes with pico on it and pineapple the combination makes your mouth have an Explosion of different flavors. I have been excited to see how there’s compares to others I have eaten. I will say the texture is way different than what I am used to however It was not a let down! Of course you gotta have your Mexican coke to top it off because well there is not other way! The atmosphere here is open and free. The patio seating is clean They have protection from the birds, and it’s so peaceful that it makes you feel like your in your favorite spot in little Mexico. the staff is pleasant to deal with and provide the best options if your new and wanna try something different. I can say this place truly hit the spot! Whenever you travel to the ATX this is definitely a place you need to stop at!

The burnt ends taco is possibly the best thing i have ever eaten 🤯 the King George was no slouch too. Don’t miss it if you’re in town! Note, they don’t have indoor a/c seating and the outdoor area can get toasty, so if you plan to eat here get a nice iced drink to go with the tacos!

A
Armaan Cheema

Super cool spot with superb tacos and they also have a small selection of beer which was all I needed. The seating area is funky and great for people watching as it is kinda out of the way so it was a very diverse clientele. One of my fav taco spots recently.

Been coming here for years, some of the best tacos in Austin, plus being open 24/7 is a plus. You will not find better food a 3am

Good food. Quick service and decent tacos. Enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is interesting and worth a visit. Sauces weren’t my type, but the meat was tender and overall I’d have these again.

I highly recommend this taco spot, tacos are soooo delicious, they have classic tacos like al pastor and chicharron, but they give it a different touch so their tacos are super innovative and authentic (Loved the pork belly one, I think it comes with mandarins). Staff is super friendly, place is very chill with nice music. Finally, try their horchata (rice water)!

Coming up from San Antonio to visit Austin is always a pleasure when you can find a hidden jem (and Austin is full of them). First time here and I definitely will be back. Fajitas are tender with a good flavor and the Al pastor tacos are heavenly. Many great options and I will be back for more.

I was in town doing an Airbnb renovation and a friend of mine swore by Tyson's for breakfast tacos. It is an unassuming location where you order and wait outside for your food to be ready. On the menu they have a lot of variety in both breakfast, lunch and dinner. As you wait there are tables underneath a strobe light and music playing, all in sight of a monstrous bbq pit. My friend and I were interested and stiked up a conversation with the grill master, he said the pit can get up to 30 briskets at a time! Breakfast tacos were delicious and definitely worth the wait. As we were waiting, my friend was telling me stories of spending many a late nights here. Food is definitely five star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow. These tacos are incredible. The taco platter deal is fantastic at breakfast. I honestly don't remember the names of the tacos I had but they were all incredible. The Rage 2.0 (maybe?) with the fried avocado was one of my favorite breakfast tacos ever. Also the free fruit infused water was so nice. Sauces weren't that great but the tacos didn't need anything extra.

Amazing service! These are the best tacos I have had in Austin. Perfect late night meal. Great place to wrap up a date night. The menu is the perfect mix of authentic Mexican and modern twists. Great salsa ! The super nice guy at the register had the perfect suggestions when my tortillas were a little soggy he made it right immediately by making me a fresh one himself! We will definitely be back here many times.

Delicious! Had the Yoda and tried the King George. Loved the atmosphere and everyone there was super nice. Great neighborhood clientele! Gotta know, which Spotify playlist is playing? 🤗

Had two veg tacos: The Rage and King George (without bacon) — they tasted pretty nice. Guess they could be turned vegan if you ask them to refrain from cheese.

The ground beef nachos are fire and the brisket Tacos are great as well. It's a very eclectic and laid back atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Brisket taco was amazing! $14 for three good sized, filling tacos is also very reasonable. Nice outdoor seating! Great art and decor! definitely a taco spot to keep coming back to 🌮 ✌🏽

This taco spot hits the spot! They have horchata, which is a major plus for me! Their menu is definitely diverse and gives you options from brisket and egg (it’s Texas y’all) to the classic Mexican Migas. Mmmm mmmm!!! Yeeyee this is a great spot! And the order took all but 5 minutes. If you’re not sure what to order, the huge menu is hung in front so you can take your time deciding, turn around to your right and the order window is there. Place your order, have a seat at their cute patio that follows the heart/love deco and wait til they call your number that’s on your receipt! Done and done! Hope y’all enjoy it as much as I did! See pics!! It’s super cute! ☺️

Really liked the food here! The Burnt ends & pork belly taco was good, try them. Buuuut..the Scooby is the GREAT one imo! Order at window, (we called in) and then pick up. Very rustic but colorful covered and plastic enclosed large deck..fits about 20? Good sized fillings on tortilla..most folks would like 2, l had 3..reasonably priced here. Polite cashier, big bbq/smoker in back The wind was annoying with the plastic, but ok. Two black little birds waited for scraps that l thought were kinda cool..very brave! We both had different ones, and both agreed the Scooby was the bomb! Definitely a must try for flavor filled Scoob's! We'll be back! 👍👍

I cannot explain why this is five stars, to be honest. Every taco hit the spot perfectly for my hour long walk back to the house in the dark. I think it was the chewy tortillas ... or the crispy potatoes ... or the tender meat ... or the flavorful seasoning ... or the addictive salsa ... or maybe all of it. I am so happy this is and has been a place to get proper Texas tacos at any time of day.

I came here one night with some friends at the recommendation of a shared acquaintance. I ordered the King George, Puffy Chicken Tinga, and Senior Ranger. All the tacos were good—fresh, flavorful, and unique. The salsas were very good as well. The menu here is kinda nuts, in a good way. There are many, many types of tacos, all of which are creative and have cool names! I almost knocked one star off this review because my friend received a piece of raw meat in one of his tacos (pictured below). The reason I didn’t is because the staff’s reaction was ideal—they apologized and gave him a full refund on his entire meal. Tyson’s is a great establishment and well worth your business.

Visiting for work and so glad I found this spot. Chips and queso were fantastic. Got the three taco plate with Diablo shrimp, burnt ends, and Al pastor. All were well above average and prices are all reasonable to beyond reasonable in the current market. Had a severely underwhelming and expensive lunch experience elsewhere (downtown) today and this redeemed the day. Great vibe as well. Will definitely come back when I’m back in Austin.

Some of the best tacos I've ever had! Not only were the tacos good, so was the rice and beans that came with the plate. I wanted seconds before even finishing. I went on a late night/early morning and the cashier was very friendly with great recommendations. I would definitely visit again, I hate that there's only one and I don't live in Austin.

F
Freudian Slit

honestly, I am blown away. I eat vegetarian and most taco places don't have much for me, especially if it's more authentic. that's fine, authentic food often has meat, but this place has incredible breakfast tacos and i was very pleased to get them!

Excellent local taco place. Eaten here several trips to Austin.

A
Alissa

My go-to taco place in Austin! I almost always get their brisket and egg taco along with the Princess Leia (breakfast taco). Their mildest salsa is a bit too spicy for me but the tacos are excellent without. Tacos are small to medium sized and 2 tacos keeps me satiated without being overstuffed. It's a bit of a hole in the wall in an odd location, but there is a covered outdoor patio with glow-in-the-dark paint on the ceiling which is really unique. I actually prefer eating here for dinner once the sun's set as opposed to during the day. Service is relatively fast too, though it wasn't busy when I went most recently. As of 2 years ago though, sometimes the wait was over 30 minutes on weekends in the morning or around lunchtime. Not sure if that's changed.

Out of downtown and worth the drive! The tacos were so good, the burnt ends were great, but the brisket melted in your mouth. Huge cup of queso and bag of chips made for a great late night snack! Will go back anytime we are in Austin!

If you're looking for great taco variety or getting food at that weird hour that no where is open, this is an amazing spot. Open 24/7, friendly staff, food comes out quick, many different types of tacos to try and so many of them are taste great for a reasonable price. Plenty of parking. All seating is covered outdoor so if it's too cold for you or raining hard out I'd get to go. My go to tacos are the Burnt Ends Premium Angus Beef and the King George.

A local friend recommended the hole-in-wall taco spot, and I’m glad! The birria tacos were delicious, and I also tried the dirty horchata (horchata latte) and it was tasty. I also tried the puffy chicken tinga taco, which was great. The salsas are spicy and full of flavor. I do think the queso could use some seasoning, but it was good. I will definitely be back to try some different items on the menu next time!

P
Patrick Dixon

The selection was great, the food was awesome! The brisket nachos were incredible, the birria was on point and I loved the scooby! 4.5 because it was hard to hear the orders called out and seating was limited.

This was my first time at Tyson's Tacos, and they aren't too far from home. The ladies were friendly, patient with a TT virgin, and quick. You can create your own, or order from the menu. The atmosphere was ok, music and lots to look at, but mostly on my phone. They told me I'd be back. They were right.

This spot is great because we came at 3 AM. For it being open so late you cannot complain and the food was good. The taco selection that they have is very vast and it makes you want to come back and try more than a while. Will you make friends with those people, right

Stopped in on our way to downtown for a quick bite. They have a large variety of options (I think 28 different tacos) all of which range between 3.50 and I think 6 for the most part apiece. We opted for guy the taco plate which was $15 and in included our choice of 3 tacos with rice and beans. It leveled the cost out of any specialty ones. Beer prices were actuality reasonable. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite

Tyson Tacos! 💘 Went here for lunch time. They have a wide variety of tacos! From Tex Mex - to street taco classics - to seafood blends - to breakfast classics : Tyson has it all! I would say the lunch / dinner tacos are just okay. The breakfast tacos were very good . All around , I probably wouldn’t go back for tacos outside of the breakfast tacos! Cheers!

The place is okay to grab a quick bite. Their seating area is average and can be challenging fitting a large group. The service is fast and the food is okay. I do not recommend the Pastor tacos, but their Barbacoa is great. Unfortunately, they leave the complimentary water where the sun heats it up all afternoon, which is not great. But they have some fruit to eat, which is nice. Parking is free, and they except credit cards. The staff is ok, too.

L

Maybe its the choice of taco, Birria, but this thing was extremely small (like a tiny squished quesadilla with little contents) for $5. I could get a taco 3x this size for $5 off of torchys secret menu. It was certainly delicious but comparable to torchys too. Should i be ordering something else? Or did i just not tip enough? Love that this place still exists though, i grew up around here 15 years ago. ❤️

Creative selections and a massive menu, but the vegetarian options leave a little to be desired compared to other famous taco spots in town. If you're a meat eater, I imagine you'd have a hard time picking between all the different combinations of delicious flavors.

L

I placed an order for pick up. The received a text messages stating my order was ready but when I walked into the restaurant, I waited another 10 mins to get my food. The tacos were tasty. The beans and queso were slightly bland but overall good food!

P

Tacos are always good. The taco plate is tasty! The rice has great spice and flavor the beans are creamy. We line to get the taco plate. Horchata is always fresh! Ordering online is easy ish.. it’s hard to decide which taco to get because it just has name no descriptions while ordering. I used two devices, we ordered ahead so the wait time wasn’t to long.

N
Nola Lu

Solid taco spot with interesting and quirky tacos. Not the best I've ever had in Austin, but I'd revisit if I'm in the area be craving taco. The line can get long on a weekend morning and seating is outdoors and limited, so be ready to wait and sit in the sun.

[Edit] Whats up with tysons and fish??? Now there are zero fish options. Stopped coming here as much... —— Have I told you, lately, how much I love you?Hands down THE BEST taco joint in Austin. And if there is a god he has truly shown his colors by making Tyson’s now OPEN 24 HOURS!!! Yes yes yes! Huge variety of options. Amazing sauces. The Pescado is epic. They call it the Prince (or the taco formally known as the Prince taco) The ingredients for the prince are all items from names of Prince songs! Raspberry, for Raspberry Beret etc.. Al Pastor rivals any in Texas. Beware the Diablo Shrimp! It’s amazingly delicious but super spicey! (edit: they made it less spicy which is sad but probably because people complained) Free cucumber or orange water. Amazing art that is always changing. They are always improving and classing up the joint. >>> Free taco if you play a GOOD song on tthe uke!

I am biased because I live very close, but Tyson's Tacos is my favorite place to get breakfast tacos without question. The vibe is great, and being open all the time, I've gone more than my fair share of times past 12 at night. The wait can be long at peak times, but well worth the wait. The reason for the 4/5 is that I find their regular tacos to be OK, nothing compared to their breakfast tacos.

B
Broderick Butler

Great late night taco stand with upscale tacos w a very food truck vibe. Ingredients are fresh, the food is simple but well seasoned and prepared, great recipies. Had eaten here before (under different ownership I think) where breakfast tacos were disappointing. I've had all the fish tacos and they were awesome.

Classic Austin spot. They lost a star for the changes they’ve made to their menu, but it is still my favorite late/all night taco spot. The queso (with ground beef) is an amazing deal. Their green sauce is great. The 3 taco plate is a deal. I usually order the tasty bastard taco. I miss their old tacos like the crispy duck taco and their original recipe for their pork belly.

Michael Lai

Love me some Tyson's Tacos. Especially during late nights when nothing else is open. They still serve tacos early in the morning. I usually grab a 3 taco plate that hopefully has some burnt ends. No corn tortillas here but flour. Waiting for the food does take a bit because of the graveyard shift. Small but mighty parking lot

Welp a place that let's me build my own nachos! I'm not a fan of their beef so I substituted bacon instead and extra queso. I love nachos but find it challenging to locate a place that still makes them with melted cheese (queso). I've seen some other reviews and yes Tysons does not heavily season their food. There are items that I enjoy here like their chips and queso, build your own nachos and B is for Bacon taco. If you do nachos either order online so you can be specific on what you want on there or clearly communicate this when you order there since their nachos come with certain items like lettuce, pico and guacamole. Tysons is one of the few establishments that are still 24/7 and they have decent options. They provide quality customer service and reasonably quick service.

I came by for some quick and tasty homemade tacos. Today’s selection included a tacoless taco, for my grandson..lol I ordered the birra tacos that were tasty but it would have been better freshly made. The Al Pastor taco was perfect! Tender, with a hint of pineapple and pico, on a corn tortilla just hits different!

Great as a late night option - Nice seating area - Price Cons- - Took forever to get the tacos - Taste was average - Packaging for to-go was bad Not sure if the day I visited was just one of their bad days. The space was definitely crowded and there seemed to be a lot of delivery orders being placed. Might try during the day next time

The good: plenty of sauces, the 3 taco plate combo is a good deal. The brisket was decent but nothing to write home about. The mid: the pastor taco meat was dry, probably wasn’t cooked the same day I ordered, ordered online and it took 45 minutes to be ready. There are a lot of places to get breakfast tacos in Austin and this wasn’t one of the best ones for me.

I really wanted a brisket and egg breakfast taco 🌮 and decided to try a different restaurant. I ordered the king George, matador and the fried egg and brisket taco. The plate came with rice and refried beans. The food came as pictured but the flavor was very mid. The rice was under seasoned and the beans were a little undercooked. The taco 🌮 trio came with a red and green sauce, that tasted eerily similar. Most green sauces have a little spice, this one was sweet. The tacos were on flour tortillas that were super small and barely contained the filling. In all, I was severely underwhelmed and probably won't be returning.

If you are from anywhere south and looking for a breakfast taco, this isn't it! There was nothing wrong with the taste of the taco, they are just small you would have to order 3 per person if you were wanting the effect of a true South Texas breakfast taco.

the tacos are decent, the nachos are a pretty good deal, can easily feed 2 people and for like $8-9, not half bad. kinda expensive for tacos but waddaya expect. i would rate the food higher but I asked for bean and cheese tacos and they made it with whole beans instead of refried, which to me was kinda baffling, i didn't know people did that, and i wouldn't really say that's in the classic tex-mex style. but decent tacos nonetheless, and they're open all the time. you should definitely try it at least once if you live in the area. the barbacoa is solid, and most of the tacos aint half bad, just kinda pricey, and I'd chalk that up to a convenience fee, which it is very convenient. 3.5/5, this place is the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 of taco joints.

Came around 1:30/2am. The portion sizes on everything were absolutely terrible. The taco I’m holding in the picture was the barbacoa and I have very small hands for reference. As you can see in the other picture there was probably about 4 diced onions and a single cilantro leaf. Charging $5 for that is actually criminal and both of my tacos were like that. My boyfriend’s tacos also were all tiny with hardly any toppings, same as mine. He got the taco plate and even the rice and beans were measly portions. Would absolutely never come here again and I would warn anyone from coming here

These are mediocre at best. Not the worst, especially when it’s midnight and you want a taco fix. But at $5+ a taco i’d recommend going to a closer taco food truck. Probably cheaper and better. I ordered the fajita and brisket tacos, brisket was ok but very dry and fajita had good flavor but was very rough meat. I think they can do better.

I do not understand the overall 4.5 rating. The place is terrible and hate giving bad reviews to be honest. The flour tortillas felt they were made out of plastic. The brisket was so so so dry. There is literally nothing good I can save out of this experience. I am having trouble understanding why it is on so many must have taco places.

Place was a bit dirty, hopefully they keep their kitchen cleaner than their tables. Tacos were okay but a bit on the higher prices side of tacos. Definitely not on the same level as many of the other taco places in Austin. Our order was also messed up but not too bad so it was an easy fix. Overall a pass on visiting again soon.

Not great - I haven't been here since they turned into Tysons (which is forever ago) but from the chewy tortillas to the pungent chorizo, I feel like Austin has so much more to offer on the breakfast taco front. I didn't even finish the food, I just tossed it. Even the agua fresca they had out front was luke warm which was a bummer. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I'd skip it if your hungry for some taco action and near downtown Austin.

I spent 9$ and got more hungry. The flavor was pretty decent despite being greasy as all hell. But the barbacoa taco dude.. that thing was tiny man I mean tiny. Now they do load it with barbacoa but the tortilla is TINY. It’s like 2 bites. The crispy taco was pretty decent too. Also greasy as all hell but was the same size as a crispy Taco Bell taco but with much better flavor and a lot more grease. I tasted a lot of grease so it took away from the flavor but it was still good. The rojo and verde sauces were mid, okay at best. Decent spice kind of but the flavor was pretty underwhelming despite the verde having a good scent. Overall, it’s good if you’re drunk and have 20-25$ to spend on tacos. But if your drunk or baked on weed and only got 10$ It’ll only leave you more hungry

Wow I’ve lived in the area for 10 years and have watched Tysons consistently deteriorate in quality over the time. The choice of tacos and quality of ingredients used to be so good closer to when they just opened. Came back to check it out after a while, it tastes just like Sysco quality ingredients and they even removed my favorite taco “the Rage” from the menu… tacos take at least 15 mins to come out if not longer. Mine came out really oily. There are so many better taco spots in Austin now, sad to see what’s happened here but it’s the last time I’m checking out Tysons.

I’m only give 2 stars because the nachos were a good amount of food for the price (7.99) . But the flavor of the beans were tasteless. And the brisket was the worst i’ve ever had, also about 2/3 of the brisket was all fat. I don’t know if it was because the time i was there, it seemed that they gave me the leftovers or the bottom of the pan.

Man… what happened to Tyson’s Tacos? This place used to be a go-to... full of flavor, heart, and hustle. But lately? It feels like the soul’s gone missing. The barbacoa was stiff and bland, the chicken barely warm, and the brisket? Dry, lifeless, and sadly forgettable. Everything tasted like it had been sitting out, just waiting for someone to care. We came in right at noon lunch hour, and the place was completely empty. That used to be unthinkable. It’s tough to watch a once-great local staple lose its edge. I hope they can turn it around, but for now, it feels like Tyson’s has given up.

I'm done with this place...the second time they made me wait over ten minutes just to order... nobody there...they are all in there not paying attention to customers standing outside waiting to order....the first time I waited almost ten minutes before anyone even noticed...then another over twenty minutes for 2 tacos! The tacos are good, but the service is terrible......🤔like they don't even care at all!

Tacos are amazing, but they never awnser the phone for call in order, today I went there and the entire staff was there making tacos but they were closed and wouldn’t take my order, do better, have better customer service and awnser the damn You phone when people call, won’t be back

Long time repeat patron, went there last Tuesday 9/9, ordered the crispy pork belly and as I was about halfway through eating the taco I noticed a cockroach in the guacamole. When I showed it to the lady at the counter she tried to get another one ordered for me but by that time I had lost my appetite and asked for a refund. She told me I needed to come back tomorrow to get the refund but I had to work so I tried to call and their phone is disconnected and so I left a message on their contact us link on their website asking for a refund and I have yet to receive a response. Doesn't matter how good the food is, if you find cockroaches in it and they won't refund your meal it's not worth the visit unless you like your crispy pork belly taco extra crunchy... gross 🤮

A
Alice Bui

Tyson tacos please check your food quality! The beans look different from the last time i was here and tasted so gross like it was spoiled and the crispy duck has tiny and sharp bone pieces in there that I almost choked on, and they’re in all 3 of my tacos in the tacos box that I had to toss my whole lunch away because of safety hazard. I’ve never been this disappointed with Tyson tacos ever since you guys are my top favorite in town, but I am very disappointed today!

I got food here last night (3/5/26) and it got meand my family CRAZY SICK. Projectile vomiting, hanging on for dear life. DONT EAT THIS FOOD.

J

The menu is very inconsistent. They’re always having some kind of issue. They didn’t have a taco plate available, but they were still serving tacos — and they had rice and beans. That just doesn’t make sense. It’s frustrating when the menu items aren’t available even though all the ingredients clearly are.

If i could give negative 5 stars I would! Put my online order at 12:46. Didn’t get my order until 2:40. Order was suppose to be done at an estimate at 1:11. Which would have been fine. Since it took so long and I was invested, I continued to wait for my food. What was suppose to be a “quick bite” turned in me waiting for my great grand kids to be born and graduate college. Once I got my food and head 45 minutes home, I opened my bag to find I was missing two tacos. Basically I got robbed of my time and 10 bucks. Never will I ever eat here again. The tacos aren’t even worth the money. Below is the photo and proof of everything I got. From text of my food being done and placed. Absolutely garbage experience Also, I’m in the food industry so I could understand being busy, but almost two whole hours for some dang tacos?

J

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! first I ordered food told him Only meet and Cilantro, no Onion no Pico de galio and no pineapple. And as you can see in the photo that's not what I got, and this box was not worth $15 😒. Then I asked the guy If they sell horchatas like real ones or the powered ones he said it was real so I proceed to buy one for $4.86, After I tasted it I realized it was the one made with power not a real one anyone who knows can taste the difference, when I told him I asked if I could just get a soda he laughed in my face and said it was real and that he made it, told me there was no manager said he would not refund me or give me another drink, this is ridiculous and I've never received shifty service from this place or bad food and I've been coming to this location for along time and have never been treated like this

Honestly, I have been here three times now due to its location near my work and usually order the Matador, Rage 2.0 and Scooby. Each time the tacos are absolutely soaking in fat. The tortillas themselves are completely soggy and immediately after being made. Another huge disappointment is the portion sizes themselves are incredibly small. As you can see the breakfast tacos contain one very small chunk of egg. Not even half an egg is used in their breakfast tacos and this is the case each and every time I dine here. As a small person, I do not eat much, but I feel completely and consistently ripped off each and every time I visit here. Do these sad tacos proudly represent a $15 bill to you? Sadly, this is the worst taco joint I have dined at in Austin.

Super weird experience after not coming here for two years, I remember it being so good. Took my wife and kids here because we needed affordable food and WiFi. I went to the counter, ordered food and asked for the WiFi password, the guy said he didn’t know and that they didn’t even tell the password to employees. I didn’t complain, we sat and waited. I saw a group of paramedics on a laptop and asked if they knew the WiFi password. They said no and that their laptops had special devices for internet but went on google trying to help. Then I overheard a guy ranting at the food pickup window that his food took forever and was soggy, I already knew what was about to happen. Sure enough we waited even longer and I had some of the wettest tacos I’ve ever had. 3 out of 4 of us got diarrhea the next day. The chips were stale the next day despite our best attempts to keep them fresh. It stinks because this place used to be sooo good and my family was excited when I said we were going back. With better direction this place could have grown but I don’t think the owner cares anymore.

Very disappointed with this order I got i like to eat here often and it seems its a 50/50 chance you'll actually get what you ordered correctly they gave me old gauc amd didnt even give me the sauces I asked for on my order and I love nachos all forms but today just was not it I ordered extra queso and its like they didn't put any on there Edit to add: i tried to eat the nachos and could not even stomach half of them im so upset I could cry right now i only wat here cuz they are open late and cheap but whats that if you cant even eat good

I do not recommend to come here. Too expensive. It's better if you go to a food truck because they will give you better food. Here they sell you carnitas instead of pastor and they don't even know what real tacos are, but you still have to pay for lemons. They only forget to pay you for parking.

Everytm I visit this place to pick up someone elses order, I dread having to deal with the big Mexican lady with blonde streaks her attitude is so angry, dismissive and bothered I watched her roll her eyes at a guy and he still ordered. Got to be a TX thing bad treatment and you still ordered it gives yuck 🤢🤮 desperation and lazy it cost less than nothing to make those sloppy tacos for yourself. But the 3 ladies that work earlier shifts beautiful, nice attitudes, they deserve a raise. But if you order esp at night and no one wants to pick up your order now you know why. On a positive hopeful note I hope she finds some happiness.

Never again will I waste my time, money, energy, and aura on Tysons Tacos. So horrible, I will not waste more energy describing the so called tacos, service, etc.

Food was cold and crusty. Yes, CRUSTY! Only good thing is that they’re open reaaaally late. I was desperate coming out of work for options other than burgers, but after trying their tacos I’d rather starve than wait over 20 minutes for 3 tacos and rice. Their sauce wasn’t fresh either, tasted saline-like, with salt making up most of the flavor profile. There’s better options, AVOID!

It's frustrating, and frankly, EMBARRASSING that in a state like Texas, known for its deep ties to Mexican and Tex-Mex culinary traditions, that THIS is the taco spot that garners such popularity in Austin. Tyson's Tacos has become a go-to name, yet what it consistently delivers is lukewarm, dry and uninspired food that would never survive in California, where taco culture thrives in authenticity, flavor, and pride. We are Texas! Tacos should be our thing! But somehow, California is running laps around us, with high-quality, street-style tacos on nearly every corner. The fact that an establishment like this is considered a staple here feels like a slap in the face to our cultural potential. Ain't nobody gonna say nuthin!?!?!!! What's worse is that this isn't just a one-off bad experience. The meat is consistently dry. The food is CONSISTENTLY served lukewarm...borderline room temperature...and that alone should raise food safety questions. But beyond temperature, where is the care? The seasoning? The soul? I had some duck tacos so dry that I almost choked swallowing them. What is going on? It's clear the management has chosen this low standard. That's what stings the most. You have the opportunity to represent Austin proudly with something exceptional, but instead, you double down on mediocrity and convenience, pushing out subpar food to customers who deserve better. The long lines don't validate the quality. But they do enable the mediocrity to continue. Y'all...Even BASIC Tex-Mex joints outshine Tyson's in flavor, authenticity, and execution. This place could be so much more...but it clearly doesn't want to be. That's the real shame.

Lackluster, dirty, and lacking flavor Rice was mushy and unflavored, beans had 0 salt. Please dont be afraid of seasonings Tacos were dry - the brisket tastes like its been put through a dehydrator. The al pastor had center pineapple and it literally tasted like cartilage. Again, lacking seasoning (chirizo oil doesnt count) The only taco that was moist (absolutely soaked) was the scooby which was literally swimming in grease. Soaked the rest of the tacos in straight chorizo grease. Both the avocado in my tacos and the guac had avocado that tasted like it had gone bad. (Tasted rotten and warm) The only good thing was the jamaica - but they give no refills for the $4 drink
