Really liked this cozy Taiwanese restaurant. I got the beef noodle soup with wide noodles and the apple sidra and it was so good! Generous portions of beef and the broth was so rich. I wanted to try their homemade soy milk but they ran out unfortunately. The apple sidra was actually really good! Tastes like sparkling apple cider. The interior reminded me of Taiwan. Overall, great experience.

Pretty small place and did walk in - have to wait a bit. Their Taiwanese food tastes comforting and not oily at all. They have a small menu, which, as an indecisive person, I appreciate. Would def come back again - Lu ruo fan: FIREEE 11/10 Breakfast set for 2: - Soy milk: FIREEE 11/10, warm and was so good w/ the yo tiao - Pan fried radish cake: 10/10, good flavor and soft - Fan tuan: 7/10, a little dry for me - Scallion pancake w/ egg: 8/10 pretty good - Yo tiao: 10/10, really good w/ the soy milk (forgot to take a pic of this ☹️)

Great place for breakfast! I ordered their breakfast set for two. The soy milk is very rich in flavor (豆香味足)and the savory soil milk tastes great too! Highly recommend both and their fresh and crispy yo tiao(fried dough).

Nice authentic Chinese comfort food I went there for breakfast, after seeing the shop on YouTube. The place is quaint and very clean. Food is simple but very authentic. Love it

such a cute little place with some solid taiwanese bites. the menu is small but mighty. a little on the pricier side for taiwanese food but it does taste similar to food i’ve had in taiwan, warm and comforting. will back to try some of their brunch!

Pretty legit! The xiandoujiang is great, the luroufan was dope, the spicy wonton were really fresh. On the other hand danbing was heh, but since everything else was so good I give 5 stars!

Great brunch experience that brings me back to Asia. What makes this food so good is how simple the ingredients / recipes are. The breakfast set for 2 was a good pick, especially the fan tuan and radish cake. Scallion egg pancake had a bit of an untraditional mayo sauce. Price wise, it does feel expensive, but it’s hard to find a comparable experience in the US, so worth the price of admission for me! Need to come back for the beef noodle soup and lu rou fan. The space is really small, so be ready to wait or get there early!

Always a fan of a spot that does Asian brunch, and Ho Food serves a small but delicious array of Taiwanese dishes that makes you feel like you’re back in Taiwan. Lu Rou Fan and scallion pancakes were my favorites, and the savory tofu was very good as well! Would come back to try the beef noodles!

We arrived right before break time. I thought we would definitely be rejected, but one of the staff welcomed us kindly. The guy in a black t-shirt was so friendly and warm and cute until the moment we left😚 We had beef noodles soup with a sort of rice ball. Awesome. But as everyone knows, good service makes the food taste even better😗 pls everyone go this restaurant.

So delicious, hearty, and perfectly filling. We waited a bit for a table, but the staff was very kind and made sure to get us seated before their turnover for dinner. Cute, intimate ambiance; not a ton of seating, hence the wait list. The savory soy milk with pork floss was a highlight - a dish I hadn’t tried before and can’t stop thinking about! Delicious noodles in the beef soup. Everything was great in terms of portion sizes and pricing. Worth the wait!

I heard so many nice things about this spot; it had been on my list for a year. We set our expectations so high, and everything we had lived up to our expectations! The waiting time was 1.5 hours when we were there; we were debating quite a bit because we were hungry, eventually decided to walk to the cafe nearby to have some coffee and walked back when closer to our queue (you scan the QR code and joined the queue and it keeps on updating in there how long until your queue is up) We shared Savory Soy milk, Radish cake, and Pork floss Rice Rolls for appetizers. We loved the savory soy milk; it was nothing we had ever had. The soy milk's texture was so smooth and silky, and it was served warm with crusty fried dough that was super crunchy. We both agreed that we could eat this every morning for breakfast. Radish cake tastes similar to Singapore's carrot cake, but this version is even better; the starch is bouncy and goes beautifully with the dipping sauce. I shared Beef Noodles and Minced Pork Rice for the main. They both were delicious, especially the minced pork rice. I had this dish many times before in Asia, but the one we had here is the best. The space is stunning, and we got a table right by the window in the bar area, I love how humble and chic they decorated it. There are books, family pictures, and souvenirs I supposed from the owner displayed on the shelf behind the bench area emphasize the idea of home cook meals. It's super cozy.

*Great for Breakfast!* Cozy restaurant that is very unassuming. Stopped in on a Friday for breakfast and was able to get a table. Very friendly immediate greeting the moment I stepped in. The Savory Soy Milk was a much bigger bowl than I had expected to be. Be sure to add the pork floss! This bowl alone is all you'd normally need as it is a little sweet, a little savory and warm that would hit the spot on a cold morning. But I was there to eat and followed up with the Scallion pancake with egg. I love stuffed scallion pancakes, but was fun to see this game with a spicy orange side sauce and not your typical soy sauce. The Fan Tuan is also a hit. Great crispiness to the filling! The pan fried radish is like the piece of dim sum you must get as it comes with oyster sauce. Finally, even though I came for breakfast it was great you order anything still so I'd highly recommend the chili wonton. Beautifully done and a little more filling to them than your typical version. Now that they've expanded to encompass the space next door there's room for more people to check it out!

The FOOD and SERVICE. AMAZING! Get everything because it’s all so yummy and hits the spot if you’re missing home. 😭 My favorite was the savory soy milk, I just love the flavor and when you go to different places for it in the city, it doesn’t always have all the toppings. It’s close to the real deal and this places makes it because the service is also so wonderful. They treat you like a friend and are always looking out!

The food was decent overall! My favorites were the fantuan and youtiao. We ordered the breakfast for two, plus garlic cucumber and beef noodle soup. The beef noodle soup with thick noodles was comforting. The fantuan was good tho I wish it had a bit more sauce or stronger flavor. The cucumber was refreshing, and the soy milk was much better hot. The food leaned a bit heavy and fried for breakfast, but overall it was still a good meal

Pretty decent Taiwanese food! My favourites were the fan tuan, the cucumber salad, and the lu rou fan! The 紅油抄手 were pretty good too, but the sauce was a little thick. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the 牛肉麵as the soup was a little oily and lacked depth of flavour. Overall was a decent meal but a little spenny for what it was.

The savory soy milk is a surprise for those unfamiliar with the dish - warm, comforting and delightfully savory. The sweet, cold soy milk is equally delicious and has become a must-try for me when the weather warms up. The scallion pancake was also a great addition to the meal. It wasn’t too greasy and had a wonderful lamination.

I was satisfied with our lunch served at Ho Foods. We ordered: •savory soy milk with you tiao (warm, salty, lil spicy, mix of textures) •lu rou fan (pork pieces were more fatty than my liking, rice was also a little more on the wet side, otherwise this was a dish well done!) •beef noodle soup - rich & spicy (great broth, beef shank was super super moist, however I found out they don't make their noodles in-house) Also want to note that the chili oil for the beef noodle soup was phenomenal. Our server told us that they include shallot oil and scallions which is a great combination that gave the chili oil so much extra flavor and depth. This spot is a must-try for anyone who's in the mood for some yummy and comforting food!

The food took FOREVER to come out, with each dish arriving 10–20 minutes apart. The chairs were very uncomfortable, the soy milk dish was only lukewarm, though the noodles and rice rolls were tasty.

All of the food was a bit salty for us. The beef noodle soup was the best item we tried. The beef and the noodles were very good. The soy milk was good, but a little overpriced at $6 (you can get it for half that price in Chinatown). The cucumber salad had a strange flavor to it that I’m not used to. But the service was great and the vibes are cute. It is a tiny space so be prepared to wait if you go during a busy time.

If you’re looking for authentic Taiwanese beef noodle soup and Lu Rou Fan, look elsewhere. This place was beyond disappointing in every aspect (besides the cute decor 😂). Rice in Lu Rou Fan was way too mushy, pork belly barely had meat and was 90% fat, soy marinated egg was cold. Braised beef noodle soup lacked technique and aromatic flavors— noodles were oddly thick but 0 flavor, soup was way too salty, beef was good and tender though. Also we got this super underwhelming “seasonal special”. As you can see in the pictures, it’s literally just bean curd cut into 2 different shapes (seriously what’s the point of this?), barely any seaweed or jalapeño, the soy marinated egg was good (in terms of soft boiled technique) but completely missed the mark on the umami soy flavor it’s supposed to have. To make things even less enjoyable, the service was SO slow (on a Monday night too)! When we followed up on our order, one of the waiters cut us off mid sentence, brushed us off, and said “it’s coming.” TLDR; beyond disappointed especially after all the TikTok recs and DEFINITELY WILL NOT be coming back. So not worth the price tag for what it was.
