Excellent stop for craft beer on tap, and also cans and bottles to take home. They also have a variety of cheese, chocolate, charcuterie, and many other edible items that are perfect for parties or small get-togethers.

Local hangout where the music isn't too loud, the seating is fairly open, and there's plenty of great beer on tap (even for dark beer lovers). You can also raid their fridge for to-go packs.

Not to be confused with the Alphabet City Brewery, but they do have their 7th Street Blonde Ale on tap for $6! The service was great, they had very tasty toasted cheese sandwiches and the atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. Definitely coming back! Bartenders are extremely friendly and helpful. The cheese and meat plate is exceptional. You can also buy a growler and bring some draft beers home. The overall atmosphere is nice and chill.

Only went here for beer but this was the second week of a Japanese style food menu offering sandos and grilled chicken. The food looked and smelled good and the people eating came in for seconds. Good selection of beers on tap and even more in the fridge to take away. Open late as well.

Really cool spot in the East Village with a nice selection of craft beers. Rotating craft beers are also on tap, and are always very good. The atmosphere is very nice and the lounge has both a large bench for a group and large, very comfortable arm chairs for one-on-one conversations. Highly recommend.

Love this place! My favorite bar in Alphabet City! We go as often as possible. Since our apt is only 230 steps away according to Google, we are there on a regular basis. Really good selection of beer on tap. They fill growlers and sell beer by the can and bottle to go. Good bar food, we like the Nachos and the pretzel party. No outside food allowed except from the restaurant next door, which has really good mac and cheese. If you're in the area on the last Sunday of the month don't miss the opportunity to have a beer with a scientist, a monthly event they host.

This place is a mullet: Business in the front, party in the back. Don't be deceived by it's 7/11 facade. The place opens up to become a swank, dank leather bound lounge. It's got beers you've never heard of so make sure you try them all. Sober up with some fine cheese and bread or the classiest nachos you've ever tasted. These guys are fans of quality.

This place is pretty awesome - especially on a cold night strolling through Alphabet City - way out - and needing some great drinks, good food and a laid-back staff and atmosphere. They definitely have some off-the-beaten-path beers on tap here, and the bartenders are willing to let you sample whatever you like. They seem to have a lot of Ommegang varieties on tap, and frankly I'm not complaining. The vibe is also very chill, lots of leather furniture and a big, long communal table where you can chill and meet others. Overall, definitely coming back here as they unveil new tapped beers.

This place brews some of their own beers. I liked their easy blonde. They also have a pretty nice set of bottles, though not quite as many as Good Beer or Beer Culture. I love the giant table and the recliners, and the bit of outdoor seating can be nice too.

Excellent rotating draft list, board games, cheese boards, soft pretzels, etc—ABC Beer Co has it all. The friendly staff takes the comfortable chairs and communal seating and makes it feel like your living room. They'll let you sample beers before buying and are great for a chat at the bar. After talking to them, head to the main table, and you'll likely make friends with some strangers over Jenga or just good beer. The kitchen does turn off around 10, but they're always fine with outside food. Bobwhite's is right next door and has a chicken sandwich you're going to want to try.

This place is quite nice with a great selection of beer to go and beer on tap. I believe Tuesday is the trivia night. If you're looking for a nice quiet place Monday to Wednesday, go here. They even allow outside food from Bobwhite (a great fried chicken place next door).

This place is great. Relaxed. Chill. Reasonably priced. They do a really good job of having a good variety and not just having a giant list of IPAs. Had the grilled cheese and spicy beer cheese sandwich. The latter was really tasty. The real gem here is their growler fills. They are actually priced like they should be!

ABC Beer Co. is an elite bar with plenty of delicious craft beer offerings and great food options and pop-ups. There is also plenty of space for groups of various sizes as well as an outdoor area in the back open until 10pm. The atmosphere is very welcoming with a diverse crowd and super friendly bartenders. The music selection is also very rich and you may find yourself discovering your next favorite artist. There’s also trivia, vinyl nights, and karaoke. The draft beer selection is always refreshed and up to date. You won’t regret coming here!

Strangely, a beer store was the only coffee stop open in a few blocks at 9am on a Sunday. They were super nice and filled up my reusable cup. Coffee starts around $3 for an americano. Lots of seating. Cool vibe. Good spot for to buy a food gift or nice charcuterie too.

I was initially confused when I got a text from my big bro that read "MY HOMIE STARTED AN ICE CREAM COMPANY THAT'S BLOWING UP AND SHE'S DOING A POPUP AT ABC BREWING. IT'S ODE!" Idk why he texts in all caps all the time, it's kinda scary. Nonetheless, my innate curiosity got the best of me and I pulled up to get some ice cream in a Brewing Co. First off, this place is TIGHT. A huge projector playing an NFL preseason game, a slew of canned and bottle beers, a rustic interior, a beautiful back patio with a dart board, patrons locked in on laptops drinking quality craft beers from local breweries, etc. Second off, THAT ICE CREAM WAS SO DAMN GOOD. Shoutout to Betty Jo's Ice Cream. That Sweet Cherry Pie flavor might have been my favorite ice cream I've had all year, and I don't even like Cherry Pie lol. Betty Jo not messing around. It all came together when I found out they were running a deal that if you bought a beer, you got a free scoop of vanilla ice cream to make a float. Every Wednesday is vinyl record day, bring in your own personal records and listen to them over an excellent quality sound system while you enjoy a beer and some food. The atmosphere is very laid back with plenty of room on their massive table or on any of the lounge furniture around. Of course there is a standard bar area for sitting as well.

This is an outstanding place to drink beer. The business is well-run, with knowledgeable bartenders who treat people nicely; with well-stocked coolers full of diverse beers, cheeses, and meats for take-away; and comfortable seats for all sizes of parties. I like coming here. The staff know their beer, not only the beer that they currently have on tap and in the coolers, but beer generally. They also know how to put together a tasty charcuterie, and the generous size of their cheese and meat (and bread, and pickle) plates speaks to their generous spirit. The shop also organizes exciting in-store events such as tastings; and off-site shenanigans such as booze cruises.

Weeknight drinks (frequent). Best bar in the neighborhood. Never too crowded, really nice staff, amazing beer selection, and knockout cheese on offer (yes please, Shelburne Farms cheddar). They also always have really good sours and, for the really committed, they sometimes have Sip of Sunshine hidden in the fridge. Great place to chill out for an afternoon or evening. Also a decent place to work during the day.

The Alphabet City Brunette draft was delicious! I haven't tried their food but there looks to be a great selection of meat and cheese. It's smelled so good when we were leaving. Great outdoor back porch space too and tons of places to sit throughout.

Very cool and cozy bar setup with great craft beer. The front half of the store is a beer store with bottles and cans in the refrigerators, and the back half is a very chill bar with excellent beer. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the beer, though they recommended an IPA to someone who was looking for something like Blue Moon which was unconscionable. The couches, huge communal table, and variety of games like Jenga and Guess Who make it very homey and a great place to spend a day though it is super dark inside. Go for the nitro wit when they have it as t was delicious.

This one is very, very similar to the Good Beer Store on 9th St, but has extra points with their fantastic layout. The space is inviting and has cool (huge) leather chairs, which look like they belong in a man-cave. Plus, a communal wooden picnic table/bench set-up in the middle of it all. Great feel but they currently only serve the beers on draft and have about 3 fridges of bottles for take home.

Nice new beer store / bar in a part of town not yet fully gentrified. they have a frequently rotating list of drafts (which you can also get to go in a growler), plus about 50 kinds of craft beer in bottles. there is a small selection of cheeses and some bar food to go with your drinks, and some eminently comfortable seating. plus they are open late.

Good bottle selection - if only you could drink it there. However, good tap selection too, so can't complain too much. The service is good, but a bit aloof. The food choices are pretty standard - e.g. a good but skimpy cheese plate.

A bit of a walk to get all the way to avenue C but your journey will be well worth it when you walk into a neighborhood beer shop / bar with fantastic bartenders and a really good choice of beers to choose from. I'd suggest relaxing with a drink in one of the various chairs they've got setup for you to chill in what reminds me of someone's living room. Or just pick up something from the healthy selection of beer you can buy up front. The bartenders are pretty geekish in their knowledge about beer. Be sure to ask questions!

Great place for beer ESPECIALLY if you missed Octoberfest or you just couldn't stand to wait in line to get into Octoberfest from across the street. The space is pretty wide including a back area and a back, back area leading to the porch that is quite mosquito infested. I'm sure it isn't in the winter time and ownership is rectifying this for next Summer. Giant projector screen that is normally tuned to sports can be tuned to whatever the mood strikes but you'd have to ask the bartender to do it for you. Excellent beer on tap and I believe that they have a rotating schedule. They do serve food here. *** No frosted mugs so don't ask. No ice cubes either. *** Good beer spot to come to.

ABC Beer Co. is a great beer place if you want a cold one on a hot day. They boast a selection ranging from pilsners to sours, wheat beers and porters. They also have cans and bottles, food and snacks like popcorn and bites in bags. But the beer is why you come here: I can’t tell you the current selection. You’ll just have to visit.

Casual cozy vibe with great beers on tap. Friendly spot. It's a smaller place so there isn't a whole lot of seating, so in peak hours it can be standing room. But a beautiful wood hall table and eclectic armchairs available if you can grab them.

Catch a buzz at The Winner’s Circle With good ol’ Good Beer of 9th Street shuttered now 3 years.. ABC out East on Ave C must provide for the entire E.V. slash Alphabet City market. Bundle up, take a field trip and you will discover a true Store and a Bar, well beyond what good ol’ Good Beer offered. ABC more in line with our “Amazing” and “Incredible” culture. You couldn’t imagine a more well-curated collection of not just beer but Several bev types.. inc. Wine (there’s a wine night with good deals). There’s also a fine set of weekly events inc. pop-up suppers from various vendors. Gosh, management has a near genius-level skill of combining, co-opting, connecting various brands (and aren’t we all a brand?) The Village has changed, and ABC is right there with it. The well-heeled, the financiers and tech gurus have a place to drop in and pickup some cans or jugs of Tasty Crafty beer (hello hopaholics!!), or pony up to the bar and let some Very Knowledgeable citizen drop science on you. Truly a nice spot, and does welcome what are now deemed “alternative” types.. I see a day when ABC Beer Co. is one piece of a parent Corp’s array of Amazing Food & Bev outposts, and each scores 5 stars.. or higher!

A chill lounge, often low on snacks or small food bites on top of missing cider. Sometimes can be a eclectic artsy vibe and other times a very bro / sports environment. Some of the workers act naive and clueless, in answering simple questions.

Nice place, with very good selection. Unfortunately the bottles/cans which have much more variety than tap they only sell them to go. They might apply different pricing to stay or to go instead as other similar shops do. The hard to find franconian beer I found, I couldn't drink it there and had to bring it home.

Couple nights ago I was there with my friends. The beer selection is nice but while We were drinking we witnessed the (Manager/bartender) arguing with bartender which made us uncomfortable. And I felt unwelcome. And which made me just want to leave.
