Family friendly pub and restaurant. Great burgers, salads, chicken meals, and drinks. It is a place to sit and enjoy a meal and the company. No rush to scarf your food and be pushed out the door. I highly recommend BJ's if you want to experience a meal and not just waste your money
The food would have been great, but they served me rice that was not cooked through. When I ate the rice, it was still hard. But the rest of the food was great.
The food was good and so was the beer. I had the tritip, brown ale, and stout. They had a great selection of food that should please most tastes. Enjoyed it so much we came back the following week and had another good experience. Both times, our waitresses were great and made sure we had a good time!
I had the best waitress she was super sweet and very attentive and the food she recommended was good her name is Terran
First time here, this place was amazing the food was great and Morgan our bartender was outstanding with recommendations on drinks had a great time thanks for a great experience
Food was and service were fantastic! The deep dish pizza was so good . Shout out to the double orange glazed pork chop as the best item on the menu. In close second is the seared ahi tuna salad. Absolutely legendary status for being a salad. However watch out for the Wasabi garnish.
Absolutely best deal in Avon, or America. $13 piezookie deal - they have lots of menu choices for the meal deal, ending with a personal size piezookie. I got the unlimited soup and salad. I had two large servings of soup and a salad. Service was above par as well. Thanks BJ's
First time going did pickup order. Food was delicious and fresh. Great customer service, will definitely be back. (Update 7/6/25 First time eating inside, great experience. Food was delicious Pizookie was delicious!! )
Huge selection of menu items and we loved everything we tried. Our party had the Flatbed Pizza Appetizer, Jambalaya, Fish & Chips, Santa Fe Salad, and Mediterranean Chicken Pita Tacos. They do get busy so go early or expect a wait. Reservations recommended and arrive early for your reservation as we still had a brief wait. Restaurant ambiance is nice and service was quick.
Becca the beautiful bartender is awesome! Casual friendly environment. Prompt and attentive service , prices are reasonable and the menu selection is great . I recommend trying everything! Recently had the California Club flatbread.. it was cooked to perfection! Light, crisp and full of flavor with generous topping. I tend to frequent it so I got the app and it's simple and rewarding. ( Literally) Go experience BJ's Restaurant you won't be disappointed!!
I been coming for years. I love sitting at the bar when dining alone because bartender Devon! She is always so accommodating & a pleasure to see. I ask for the tri-tip salad with modifications & she always is patient to provide. The pizza is hit or miss sometimes. Plenty of parking and seating.
Very loud. Must want to have a cheery time. Beer is very good. Good selection of craft beers, made by BJ's as well as well known craft beers. Menu is dense with specific tastes in mind. Wait staff is very courteous, especially Gary. Friday night it is packed but only had to wait 15 minutes around 7pm. Pulled pork and burger w cheese and bacon are fabulous. Huge servings. Too much to eat but very tasty.
For one my experience at BJs was good . Our server was very friendly and quick thought the time at the restaurant . The food was also amazing will be going back.
Wide menu selections. Prompt service (thank you Cesar). Tasty selections. Wide selection of beers.
The bartender Zach was the best also the quality of service was top notch. I would leave more stars than 5 if i could. Thank you Zach for your personality and quality of service.
Service was top notch! Cesar, our waiter, knocked it our of the park. Customer service……finally! Not a long wait for us, food came out quick, and it was all delicious. I had the Friday prime rib special with veggies and potatoes. My wife had the ribeye with potatoes and salad. We had the Carmel cookie/ice cream for dessert. It was fantastic. I haven’t visited BJ’s since the first week they opened, but I will make it a point to go back. Kudos to BJ’s. I miss being actually cared about in food service.
Bryan was amazing and made the dinning experience enjoyable.
Comfy atmosphere with exstensive beer offerings & newly expanded wine list. Healthy vegetarian options & gluten free as well. Recommend the flat bread pizza, avacado rolls, LOVE their salads & they have veggie sides you can eat as a main course. I wasn't impressed with their turkey burger though... Always receive great service !!
Great service, clean, wide variety of food choices. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Awesome Ribs/ steak , fish , fresh salad , lovely margarita the attendants were pleasant ,friendly , beautiful atmosphere , We really had a wonderful Valentine’s Day at BJ’s ❤️
My server was James. He was a quiet sort but he was friendly, efficient, attentive and everything I’d hope for as far as his job is concerned.
We had a big family meal and my granddaughter was our waitress/server. Food was good and we had a great time all of us.
Nice restaurant to be able to sit down and eat with your partner, friends, and family. Went around 10 pm and it was busy. The hostess was able to get us a table and every staff member we encountered was welcoming and kind. Extensive menu and food options.
Had a great time. Wait was pretty rough at 50 minutes, so we just stayed in the general area and went shopping. Had a few cocktails, the Pink Cadillac martini was excellent. The jambalaya was also very good. Might have to reserve a table next time.
First time here and the food was just ok. It was super busy so I'm willing to.give it another try and it also.xould have been my choice that just wasn't up to par. Nice place with nice atmosphere for the most part
Absolutely love BJ's Pizza unfortunately the closest one to us is an hour away. When we stopped in for dinner they were very busy. The hostess expedited us to a table in the bar unfortunately with my wife's medical issues she couldn't climb into the high bar stools and I had to hunt the hostess down to try to find a new table because she didn't check if that was okay pizzas were overcooked and sparse on toppings. Overall not a great experience which is abnormal for this business we will be back just on a less busy day.
Hostess (training another) was snippy and tried seating us as far away from the empty table we requested. Food was great! It always is. Their hand crafted sodas are fabulous.
Sad when you see a slow deterioration of a once perfect 5 out of 5 previously rated restaurant like BJs. Over the years the food size has dwindled and the prices have now gotten so inflated it's just not a place we can consider stopping in to eat. On a saturday at 1pm you will be spending around $50 for sandwiches (burgers) and sodas. There are too many better places around like "Red Robin" offering unlimited fries and even a deal for a double burger for 9.99 which includes a drink. Chili's and Applebees also have better/ cheaper sandwich meals where 2 can eat around $25 which is about half of the current price structure at BJs. What I am saying is: BJs has lost its luster and is digging its hole because the food is about the same as all other others. Sad to say but we have seen this time and time before and in time all great things fade away.
I think BJs suffers from not focusing on a single type of food and instead trying to give too many options. None of the food is bad but it isn’t good either. The beer and service were great and make up for the mediocrity of the food.
Wasn’t greeted, stood around waiting until a guy walked up and asked what we wanted, like he was going to do us a favor. Finally seated, and waiter was very kind, polite, and attentive. The food was better than expected, but it will be awhile before returning to see if the welcoming committee improves.
Don't get take out. The food might be good in house, but the take out was awful. Soggy and burnt. If you want to taste a mouthful of char, you should skip the brussels sprouts and just put a charcoal brisket in your mouth. It has the same taste at a fraction of the cost. Staff was very friendly though
Our server was attentative but we had some issues with our food. I ordered a sirloin + ribs. I ordered the steak medium rare. The steak made it to the table looking dry as can be. It didnt seem to have the slightest bit of moisture. I requested a replacement. The waitress came back to the table stating that it is against their company policy to serve steak less than medium. Our table thought this was a joke. Even the pictures on the menu of the ribeye and the prime rib looked to be the requested temperature. They refused to serve the steak as ordered. The new one was OK. For being cooked past medium rare it was still really juicy. The ribs, even though the BBQ is peppered BBQ, it was too much pepper and at times tasted like eating some peppered beef jerky. My wife had fish and chips which she said the fish tasted as if it had too much pepper and did not finish the meal.
Food today was not as good as normal. Took forever to get food after the order was placed. Rib dinner: ribs were great. Mashed potatoes were crusty on top where they sit under a heat lamp. Burger and fries: burger was dry, bacon was raw no sauce or mayo. Fries cold. Waitress is awesome! Manager failed to acknowledge or address poor quality of food.
Terrible. Im done with this place. The service is awful and they never get to go orders correct. Clearly on the labels THEY put on the food it says extra Alfredo sauce, look at how dry the pasta is. When I brought it to the servers attention, he said I would have to wait for more because the cook had to “make” some more… 🤔 but I had ALREADY waited 20 min past my pickup time to even get my food. Also asked for extra marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks. Didn’t receive that either 10 sticks and one tiny cup of marinara. Not to mention everything was cold. Don’t go here for food.
Let me start by saying that this establishment was all over my facebook page as a great place to eat. I ordered the jalopino burger and fries and my wife ordered the turkey burger. After about 20 minutes the waitress came and said they were waiting on fries so they brought the food without the fries. The burger which I ordered medium was burnt up and well done and dry as a bone. My wife's turkey burger was just ok and nothing spectacular. I asked to speak to the manager after I saw them taking fries to other tables with their order. She did agree to remove the burger from the bill and I finally got my fries ( which were good and hot) just as I was talking to the manager about the situation. I guess I drove 34 miles across town and back for some french fries. I probably won't return to this place. Also if you compare the price of Guinness on the menu ( $6.25) to what I was charged ( $8.25) that is a $2 overcharge. I didn't notice this untill I got home and looked at the bill!
I ordered this and nothing was right. Pizza was thrown into box. I ordered no mushrooms, it had SEVERAL. There is like 2 strips cut up into pieces of chicken and barely any sauce. The pizookie is disappointing in itself. No sauce, 4 pieces of strawberry, no whip crème. I will not be ordering to go ever again. I even repeated my order back to the person taking my order. He acted like he wasn't paying attention. I usually love this place but I'm unsure now. One sad pregnant person.
UPDATE - figured I would give this location one more chance as a special night out with my son. Immediately we knew the experience was going to be marginal at best. The music playing was not only loud but typical of what would be played at a night club on a Friday night. Conversation was difficult and my ears by the end of the dinner. We were greeted quickly by a hostess with an attitude and made a face when i asked for a booth. I have back issued and booths offer more support. I counted 8 booths available at the time that could seat the 2 of us. I was told it be 20 minutes or more before we would be seated. When I questioned why with all the clean booths...I was told they were trying to keep all the people together and not spread out the servers so the section was closed. I took at table and within 5 minutes...6 out of the 8 booths were used! The only redeeming service this time was Kristine our server. She was great! The quality of the food was ok. We ordered mozzarella sticks but they were terrible. They used to serve flat rectangle sticks with great flavor. We were served with the traditional round sticks that were definitely prepackaged and frozen. Telhe hamburgers were good and cooked well. Fries were greasy and cold. This restaurant continues to go down hill. I think this will be out last visit. This BJs has been one of my favorite places to go for over the past several years. The food has always been excellent, service outstanding with a good atmosphere. However my most recent experience indicates this restaurant may be running out of steam. On Father's Day we took family out to this restaurant because they do not have one near them. We gave it great reviews. Upon showing, with call ahead seating and a half filled dining room it still took 20 minutes to get seated. No one was in a hurry to provide service. It wasn't until the manager stated someone will seat us that I commented we have heard that 6 times in 20 minutes that we were seated. After sitting down, it was another 5 minutes before a waiter took drink orders only to be told all of the craft sodas were out of stock. Another 20 minutes later we had drinks. As we ordered, 50% of what was originally ordered was out of stock including their signature prime rib dinner! How does a restaurant not have simple things like sirloin steak and prime rib. As for the atmosphere, with a half filled restaurant we still had to shout to talk because the music was outrageously loud and awful. Who wants to hear hip hop music screaming through speakers while trying to have a dinner conversation. Even the food quality has gone down. The shrimp on my plate were rubbery and the dish was room temperature. This restaurant needs to step it up or there will be another vacant building along the most traveled road in Avon.
I’ll start by saying I’ve been to BJ’s before and had wonderful service and food. Tonight, a group of friends came to celebrate my best friend’s mom’s birthday, who is visiting from Australia. The reservation was made WEEKS in advance and we waited more than 30 min to be seated. It then took another 30 min to order and receive our drinks. Once we finally ordered our food, things seemed to be looking up. Our food was brought out and everything was over cooked (the fries were literally stone hard) and cold. We kindly asked for many things to be remade fresh so we could enjoy them. The atmosphere was fine, but the service was below par. We will not be returning to this location. Very disappointing experience. Ending on a positive note, the only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the tri-tip was delicious.
I’ve been here before as a dine in and I had a great time then but the two times I’ve done take out it’s been horrible. I waited 20 minutes for my food and had to call them. I even showed up 10 minutes after they sent a message about my food being packaged and finished. I wasn’t even that bothered about waiting but I opened my food and the rice was extremely hard and the broccoli was fried out. Literally everything was so burnt. I’ve had this meal before and it was much better before. Worst $30 I ever spent at a restaurant for supposedly high quality food.
When i walked in with my family, there was a red haired lady who i later found out to be the hostess smoking what looked like a vape. while i dont judge, i do strongly believe theres a time and a place. It was just utterly unprofessional. There are often children walking through the door and i dont think that's something any parent would want their child to see at a supposed fancy establishment. The food was delicious, and my server was great. Just wanted to let you know so changes can hopefully be made.
Service was decent for last hour arrival and the food was better than expected but the mash potatoes were cold, dry and kind of bland outside of garlic. The server never asked how my food was which was the ONLY thing inadequate Beer prices alone give this place 2 stars. Literally the only table in the restaurant and I question why. This place used to be packed when I was a regular late night visitor ten years ago. Is it because you don't have a happy hour and charge $10 for all beers and ciders? Undoubtedly.. $75 for one meal and 4 beers is absurd.
ordered just a pizookie off Uber Eats. the cookie was super thin and in a deep pan, so it burned on the edges a little. not worth the almost 9 dollars spent, not to mention the tax & service fee & tip.
What the hell is this garbage bullshit its so freaking thin and doesnt even cover the whole pizzookie like this is genuinely absurb and the pistachio container wasnt even filled HALFWAY it was not even a quarter of the way full.
This was one time I would have chosen a different restaurant. My wife and I requested medium rare prime rib. Mine came bleeding. Couldn't do that. Then the wife had peppered brussel sprouts and the pepper was so strong she couldn't eat it. After asking if she could get some with less pepper she was told it is what it is. We all know what that means. Accept it out move on. After more than 20 times at this restaurant I was displeased overall.
They don't care about delivery orders. I've made a few from here and everytime it's sloppy, ill-prepared, and missing things. I've ordered the wedge salad, the spaghetti, and some of their apps. I got the spaghetti tonight which is why I'm finally reviewing this place. It was old, had barely any cheese or sauce, the meatballs were like chewing through saw-dust. Never again. How do you mess up just pasta and sauce my people? Don't order delivery from this place, they literally do not care about putting effort into your orders.
I want to start this review by saying that our server, Andre, shared no fault in this incident and was completely cordial and professional. We were served a chicken sandwich but the chicken was completely raw in the middle and could have literally put us in the hospital. The server practically had to beg the manager, Misty, to come to our table and speak with us and address the issue. When Misty came over, she begrudgingly offered us a free dessert but provided NO APOLOGY and appeared annoyed at the entire thing. Disgusting behavior and absolutely insane that she hasn’t been removed from her position. Even at the beginning when she seated us, she showed no manners and sat us without saying basically anything. This review is for BJs restaurant #568 in Avon, Indiana. Corporate, please address this incident and take the appropriate action with the manager, which in my belief, should be removal from her position.
Drinks took forever to get out, one of the meals came RAW, never got drinks refilled, The pizookie was not only wrong but took so long to come out to us that the ice cream was nearly completely melted. Another table turned to us and asked “how long did it take to get that” as they were also waiting forever. Wasn’t busy, the workers just all seemed careless to our row of people. Angel was the name on the top of our ticket. never checked on us, didn’t refill the drinks. Not sure what all the hype is about here.
I ordered a salad from carry out. It was an entree size salad - the enlightened Asian chopped salad. When I got it home there was no romaine, no red peppers, no onions, no cilantro, no sesame seeds. There were just a few strings of carrots. I reached out to contact the restaurant and was prompted to send an email to the restaurant. No one has ever followed up. The salad was incomplete and for $16.99 overpriced for what I received.
Restaurants just are trying anymore. I've done curbside twice and sat in once. First interaction was great but after that it was all downhill. The servers have ruined the experience. Unfortunately I got the wrong ones. I don't and won't be back.
I go here bc my client enjoys the discounted specials mon-fri but every time we've come it's a waitress that makes us feel rushed. It's never a relaxing meal. She immediately starts asking a bunch of back to back questions. In her mind she thinks she's being thorough but to a customer it's overwhelming. What really bothered me was when she informed us 2 entrees out of 3 fell on the floor accidentally. I was given a choice to eat in front of 2 people i came with or for my food to sit under a heat lamp until the 2 orders are remade. I expressed that I didn't want to eat when 2 were still waiting for their food as we came in to eat together. I also didn't want food that has been sitting under a heat lamp. Accidents happen, simply make whole order again and serve fresh food. This is how the situation should have been handled without me,the customer suggesting it. I will return but going forward we don't want to be in this woman's section as she's only wanting to push you out the door no sooner than you arrive. Eating out is a luxury and shouldn't feel like a task.
