So totally awesome! The place is like radical awesome dude! They really do make great sandwiches and other stuff. Hello my friends! I miss y'all. I live so far away now but you are still my favorite lunch-time place ever. (Heart emoji) ( Eating big-ass sandwich emoji) Brian
Love it here. Dan and Kylie are always super rad. Food is priced great for what you get. Their lil thrifty spot always has some fun and tempting items. The breakfast burritos are my go to. They def make coming to the office something to look forward to.
I have the great benefit of working in office park where this is located! It is down in the basement level of the southeast building. What-a-Sub is a regular spot to pick up a fantastic lunch for a criminally reasonable price. The selections are vast. The service is great. The food is really top notch. It's worth a trip, even if you don't work here. Call ahead if you're coming during the busy lunch rush.
I've been a few times after staying work in this complex. Sandwiches have generous portions and well prepared. Service can be a little slow if there is a huge line, but it's a two man shop. Beats having to go out and grab something by a lot.
Amazing price for how much food you get, super friendly service. Its locally owned and operated so that is always a plus! And of course the food is so good. I got the Buffalo Chicken Sub and it blew my expectations out of the water.
AMAZING SUBS!!! If you’re a sandwich person, this is the place!!! Go inside to the elevator and down one floor. Walked right up and sandwich was ready in minutes. I tried the Italian Sub and 10/10 knockout. Italian dressing was homemade and the meats were incredible. I left beyond full and satisfied from all the flavor packed into my lunch. Huge menu so I will be back to try the other options. This place is worth the visit and the prices are great.
aside from being in the basement of a large building I absolutely loved the people that were running the shop. Very clean and not only was the food delicious, but also very filling because of the huge servings. The prices were very reasonable. I will definitely return when in the area.
I recently tried the Italian sub, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience. I planned to eat it on the way to the next job site, but after taking the first bite, I couldn't stop. It was hands down the best sandwich I've ever had. Despite being just one option from the entire menu, it left such a strong impression that I'm already planning my next visit. I'm a bit hesitant to try a different sub because I want to relive that same amazing feeling, but if the Italian was this incredible, I'm excited to see what the rest of the menu has to offer. For the price, you get more than enough food, which makes it even better! I definitely recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Walked in, was a quite space but people looked to be happy. Have never eaten in Denver but was looking for a quick bite before testing. Was looking to grab a simple sub. The owner (poor dude, really !!) came in to find out the whole building had lost power over the holiday weekend! So his selection was pretty much devastated! He had a couple hot subs and a couple cold subs: warned everyone he only had a small selection! None of that stopped this Beast of a food server! I ordered a house special(surprise ME!) Dude is an absolute legend now he made me a meatball/ Italian hot sub it was amazing full of flavor and a generous side of spice. Just an absolutely delicious treat for a hidden gem of a sandwich shop! I can not wait till I can come back and enjoy a wider range of taste at this sub shop!!! Kudos man you Rock!
So... Wow. One of my favorite things to do as a foodie, is find hidden gems and support local businesses. Well, this checks all of the boxes I'm looking for when it comes to a lunch spot. I was simply looking at Google maps in the are of my work, and saw the name, "What a Sub". CLICK! Ok, right down the street, I'll go there tomorrow. Like other reviews say, it's literally in the basement of a random office building. As soon as the elevator opens, the wonderful smells delight the senses. I instantly got excited when I saw the place. It was busy, but there was no line. Dan and Kylie were super nice... The kind of people that deserve your hard earned money. I asked Dan what was popular, he said his favorite was #19. Genoa, cotto salami, w/capicolla pepperoni and ham. I asked him to make it the way he likes it. It was jammed full of greens, provolone, tomato, red onions and fresh jalapeños. Italian dressing and amazing bread... And I'm walking out in minutes knowing I'm holding a bag full of love. I ate half. I'm stuffed, and it was the best Italian sub I've ever had in my life. At $12, I'm going to be coming here at least weekly as long as I'm working in Greenwood Village. Do yourself a favor, and put this one in your book!
It is in the basement of a random office building from the 80s? Yes. Was it absolutely delicious, the owner so kind and friendly, and the options endless? YES! When we pulled up questioning Google maps, he said, “We could’ve gone to Subway.” Yes we could’ve, but we’re so glad we didn’t! Ingredients were fresh, people kind and interactive, place is spotless!
5680 Greenwood Plaza Blvd (Basement) Greenwood Village, CO 80111 Great subs! Twice the sub for half the price. Always a quick in and out if you're in a hurry. If you want to dine in, they have a tv that's always running sports If you're in the Greenwood Plaza area, it's a great place to eat that isn't out of the way. Just go to 5680 and take the elevator to the basement
To find it, look for 5860 South in the Triad location, go downstairs and you will smell it as soon as the elevator door opens. Being a Long Islander I was skeptical until I tried it and I will be back for sure. $11 and I had enough for two meals. Friendly fast service and they also sell sports equipment apparently. Also there is a Fitness Center down the hall if you feel any guilt about pigging out!
I don't get very excited about subs in general but this hidden (literally) gem has 68 different menu items and their bread is very very good and easily among the best I've had. To find the place enter the nondescript office building (see photo) Google directs you to and go down to the lower level via the elevator in the lobby. Follow the mouthwatering smells from there. Totally worth it!
This is your sign. If you're looking for a new place to try today, it's here. I got the #19 +Jalepeños. ~$13 for a large sandwich and a drink. A small is plenty for lunch, I'm taking half home for later. Massive sandwich with tons of flavor. Looking forward to coming back and letting all my coworkers know about this hidden gem.
I got the pizza sub and the portions and prices are great! however, it’s just made on hoagie buns they bought at the store and they warm up the sandwich in a microwave and it didn’t even warm all the way through so the middle was cold and the cheese not fully melted… I’d give them a second chance and try a cold sub tho, I think theyve got good potential.
