Absolutely mind blowing experience, I was greeted by the kindest gentleman, I believe his name was Daniel. As we walked through the entrance I was left breathless with how wonderful the lighting and atmosphere was. Paired with increble service, one couldn't ask for a better dinning experience. 11/10 will be coming again. Big shout out to daniel!!!

Drove all the way down here from Austin because my father in law said this place was good. He was not lying. Don’t know if you’ve ever had Asian buffets in Austin, but they suck so bad. Here was a clean, nice environment with a lot of food options, and the food did not disappoint. It was very busy, as it was a Saturday night, but the wait time was minimal. Best buffet I’ve been to in a decade.

Really enjoyed the Mongolian grill. Spring and Egg rolls were good. Hot mustard was nice. I wasn't impressed with the sweet and sour chicken pieces. They just didn't taste fully cooked, so I did not eat them.

Food was fresh, the place was clean and customer service was great. We went for my granddaughters birthday per her request. I asked if they would sing Happy Birthday. The waitress immediately accommodated brought her a cake and a gift. They played Happy Birthday and you could hear everyone around the restaurant singing. It was so refreshing to hear everyone join in. When looking around all the waiters and waitresses were singing as well. Definitely family orientated.

Absolutely enjoyed it! Had a wide variety of food options, and althought the parking lot looked packed there was still plenty of seating. The price is reasonable for 2 you can expext to pay around $40. So far everything I have tried has been a hit! This place was so clean and the whole scene of the place was well lit. The interior designs are beautiful. Let’s not forget the food wow fresh and very good. It's been a few years since I've visited. My husband and his coworkers visit frequently. We've never had a bad experience, and I really like the remodel. The food variety and quality is always superb. Delicious! Everything is good. No complaints. We will come back again. Also, LOVE that they do a free buffet for birthday 🎂

I enjoyed my late lunch at King Buffet, The service was cordial, the atmosphere was quiet, definitely it was a clean buffet one thing that is completely plus. The food was really savory and fresh specially the seafood, crab legs and the ceviche. The crawfish boiled was really flavorful something I liked. Like recommendation more variety in other kind of food, like beef fajita, etc. Overall the food was really delicious.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. This place has definitely changed from the old Asian Buffet. It looks much better and vibrant. The food was nice, fresh and hot. I'm not a big buffet eater, so I didn't eat that much to justify the price, but it was definitely a good experience and very tasty. I'm glad I went.

This is pretty good it was this is the old rat-infested Asian buffet on Austin highway The crawfish were excellent I don't think they were frozen. The dim sum bar was pretty good They got the standard stuff at many of the places but everything seemed fresh The sushi was really good and fresh this place is set up just like lins in Selma but that place is so nasty and overpriced. I would definitely come back to this place it's right by my work the airport like I said on Austin highway give it a try. Try the different dim sums if you like authentic stuff. All the muscles cold and hot were fresh. Nothing stunk here lol. They probably have crab legs on the weekend. I need to see if they are large unlike the disappointing always small crablegs at kumi near stoneoak. The price tonight was 17. I think the weekends are 30 with crabs......to be seen. I do not want small crab legs not worth the additional price....

Comfortable seating and great fresh food. Sushi area has good choices what I got was good. They do make the sushi fresh as people get them. Mongolian grill area is awesome create your own bowl and take a number. Lots of choices of food. All of what I got was good. I loved the Mongolian bowl area. Will be going back.

This is actually a great place to eat because it is a "all you can eat" place with loads of freshly prepared all kinds of asian food, from huge shrimps 🍤 to yummy rice 🍚, soups 🍲, and there's a section with chefs 👩‍🍳 that if you choose from a endless selection of raw veggies, chicken 🐔, beef or shrimp 🍤, and add noodles 🍜 to it, they will cook right then and there for you, it's ready in a few minutes and fresh! There's also a great dessert 🍨 section, cookies, jello, cakes 🎂 and fresh fruits to choose from, all of this for a super decent price, around $18 per person! The place is super large, tons of seating areas so that there's a lot of room between customers and the workers are polite and friendly, they don't bother you by constantly coming over, and it's always a pleasure to go back!

The food was great and fresh. The service was great and they waiters kept removing dirty dishes in a timely manner. The refills on drinks were also good and the place was clean overall. The dinner price was excellent for seniors and regular persons as compared to other buffet locations. The dinner price for seniors was $11.99 and $17.59 for adults. I would definitely visit again and hopefully they maintain the cleanliness and great service.

We love going to buffets and King Buffet is on top of our list. They do a very good job putting food out and keeping everything fresh. They offer sushi, build your own bowl, chinese food, american good options, soups, dim sum, salad and fruit bar, and a variety of desserts. They have great seating from booths to circular tables with comfy chairs. They waitresses are always friendly. My kids love it when the cashiers off them lollipops at the end. This is a great place to bring your family to.

Came here for a weeknight dinner and it was pretty busy, we waited around 5 mins and were seated fairly quickly. Food selections were plenty especially their seafood options. I enjoyed the seafood bake the most! I also enjoyed their pepper chicken which is a must and their rice noodles! Will definitely be back!

Whether it is a gathering with family and friends, or a place to relax by yourself, this is my favorite place. What impressed me most was the satisfaction and pleasure after each meal. Because of this, I have become the final customer of this restaurant, and I look forward to different delicious foods and truly caring service every time I come. King Buffet’s newest location is a nice place to visit if you’re wanting a variety of food options. Located at the old Asian Buffet on Austin Hwy. They have rebuilt the restaurant and it is very nice and the food is good. The staff are very nice and attentive. One thing that I like about the restaurant is that they spread out the customers. You are comfortably spaced out, so that you can enjoy your time there and enjoy your family and friends. The Mongolian grill is a great addition. The food is constantly available and I seen two staff members checking the food for proper temperature. Over all, it was a great experience and a place where the whole family can go.

I’m currently at this restaurant and I had to write a review before I even finished my meal because it’s that good. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — great ambiance, friendly staff, and everything feels clean and thoughtfully put together. The service has been attentive without being overbearing, and the food came out fresh and beautifully presented. But the real star of the meal? The coconut shrimp. It is absolutely incredible. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, golden coating that has just the right amount of sweetness from the coconut. Inside, the shrimp is tender, juicy, and cooked flawlessly — not rubbery at all. The balance of crunchy texture and succulent shrimp is spot on. And the dipping sauce? Amazing. It complements the sweetness with just enough tang and depth to make every bite better than the last. Honestly, it’s some of the best coconut shrimp I’ve ever had. You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. If you’re debating what to order — get the coconut shrimp. I’d come back here just for that alone. Highly recommend this place!

We came to Texas for my son's Air Force graduation and we went to another buffet before this one and then we went to this one. This has to be one the best buffet I have been to so far. The sea food boil was my daughter's favorite but for me personally everything was my favorite. I also enjoyed watching them cook and cut things.

This is one of the best Chinese buffets I’ve been to! The food is always fresh and there are so many choices. The seafood, sushi, and hot dishes are all delicious. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. Our server Bella was very attentive and made sure everything was great. Definitely recommend this place and will come back again!

They have an excellent selection of shrimp and seafood options for my pescatarian Mom, which is wonderful for her The chicken and noodle options were also great! The is the best buffet I have been to in San Antonio. I usually go to Chop Stick but was recommended this via someone on TikTok. Great sushi selection and desserts. They have a stir fry in the middle of the place that cooks to order. If you’re looking for something to take the family this is the place. My kids loved the food and so did I!!!

This newly opened buffet restaurant is indeed quite large and spacious. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from. It's worth going there for a meal on the weekend. Barbecue, fried noodles, and Cantonese dim sum have all appeared. Fruit salad, desserts, ice cream, sushi, fried food section It includes all Chinese dishes. The ingredients are relatively fresh. I will come again next time.

The restaurant was actually very good. I had my food custom made and it was delicious. I brought my son along and he ate what was in the buffet and he enjoyed it He actually went back for seconds. Their fruit is fresh their seafood is fresh and their sushi is delicious as well as fresh. So I highly recommend if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat buffet this has been the only one in town that I found that we have truly enjoyed so I highly recommend it.

First time here, and I won’t lie, I am not a fan of buffets, but this was all right. Place was clean. Staff was attentive. Food was good. I only stole one star because them cocktail shrimp needed some flavor some life and a littlest time in the steam pot. Other than that everything else was great and I may be back. If you are a buffet fan, I would totally recommend.

The pictures indicate that they have crab legs on the buffet. But they don’t. They have fried regular crabs, not crab legs as people expect. The food was OK nothing bad about the food but nothing‘s right HOME about either. Atmosphere is very clean and the staff was very friendly so no problem about that just was disappointed that I was expecting to have one item and it wasn’t on the buffet. I was a little surprised when it showed that it had 4.9 or 4.8 stars but it’s not that close to being perfect decent place to eat, but don’t make a special trip.

Just a heads up that this restaurant is offering 5% off for a 5 star review. That being said, we really enjoyed the variety and, importantly, the proper temperature of the food! Felt that the price ($14.49/adult, $7.99/kid) was fair for the weekday lunch. Mongolian wok cooked to order is included, as well as a great sushi selection for a buffet! Space is open, clean, modern, and well lighted. Enjoyable splurge for the Christmas holiday!

I really enjoy the food but unfortunately I’ve had a fall in the men’s bathroom. I wish the maintenance crew would clean better so people don’t slip and fall. Also when we came in for dinner the server sat us next to an annoying little girl that wouldn’t stop screaming. I asked to be reseated on the other side on the dining room after coming back from the buffet for my first place and server wanted us to stay in the section we were in because it was easier to monitor and serve everyone in one block of booths near the back right by the kitchen.

Well, this was definitely an interesting experience. The buffet style was excellent. Many delicious food options were delicious and available for everyone. The Mongolian grill options far exceeded my expectations. They were very delicious and hot with so many options to choose from. The sushi 🍣 variety was excellent. Their salad 🥗 bar had many good options. Their sweet section was good with many healthy options. Staff is super attentive and very courteous. The establishment is very clean and comfortable for larger and small groups. I would definitely recommend eating at this location.

Wanted Asian buffet. Saw newly opened location with good Google rating and reviews. Willing to give it a try and wasn’t disappointed. Overall, the food was delicious and temperature on point. Although there were a few misses for us, the variety of food offerings are sure to plentifully please everyone. The dining room is nicely decorated with comfortable chairs. The wait staff is attentive and friendly.

I don't normally do buffets but this one was awesome! I have to make sure I'm there as soon as they open because I'm very concerned about cleanliness and germs (some people don't was their hands, pick/rub noses, sneeze, etc.). My family and I went on Christmas. We arrived about 30 minutes after opening & it was maybe 10 people there. The staff was organized, welcoming, and professional. The restaurant was clean! The food stations were full and clean. The staff were constantly checking the food to refill it and clean any spills. Our server consistently checked on us, cleared empty plates, and refilled our drinks. I will definitely be returning & I 100% recommend visiting! FYI this was our first time visiting King Buffet and I can only speak for this location, as I've not yet visited another.

Even though the steam tables were hot, the food was only lukewarm. While some of the food had a little flavor, the fried rice did not! I can only think that had we tried the Mongolian grill we may have had a flavorful dish. Wish we had done that. We had to flag someone down for a tea refill. Never checked on us but did deliver our check. It looked nice and appears clean. That was a plus…. Just wish we had better things to say about the food.

Missed lunch by exactly 1 minute. 2 adults 2 drinks came out to $48 and change. Hubby got sick at the restaurant. Their food is flavorless. It is good if you're on a budget but the oils and added sugars they use can make your stomach sick. No Mongolian Beef. Their Soups need help. I enjoyed their fried shrimp. Their sweet and sour sauce taste like chemicals. French green beans are great. Otherwise the rest of the food isn't tasty. Very bland or chemical flavors. The environment is dim lighting and nice. The booths are roomy.

It was good but the dessert was not really good it was hard and not good.the service was not good every 5 seconds the lady would come up to us and ask if we were done and we were not. But she keeps asking us. She was doing it on purpose. Put the food was good but people would cut and go in front of us and not that many food options and the plates where not clean had to get cleaned one's.

Meh. If you're really hungry and quantity is the absolute most important factor, any buffet will do. Tried a variety of items from the dim sum to general Tso chicken to honey chicken to crab Rangoon. All the standards. The only thing I found shockingly good was the fried zucchini, but it wasn't good enough to warrant a future trip.

Food was alright but not as great as some people made it out to be. Maybe a little more happy employees would be nice. It looked like everyone was mad that they had to be there. The chef by the make your own bowl seemed more unapproachable than the other employees. Made me regret suggesting this place to my fiance. Seems like a waste of my money.

The service approval / disapproval iscreflectwd in the tip . To maximize tip potential, Asia needs to smile & schmooz. Yhevlwast she need to do.is ask if we need anything and ask hiw things are. She never introduced herself to us. Is she that unhappy with her job. Maybe she needs to resign and go work elsewhere so she can become happy. ATMOSPHERE: *The restaraunt was clean *Other wait staff appeared to enjoy their work. Hostess was friendly.

I went here because of all the hype on TikTok and Facebook however, it was very much that. The place is overcrowded and although it does have some spectacular decor, it was just OK and not more than that. There was two of us and the total came out to $46 one soda, one water 2buffets, which is great .and the food was good. Not WOW good the other thing that I noticed was that randomly a happy birthday song played over the intercom (which I think as far less personable than people actually coming up to the table). , I think it would’ve been better if maybe they/ displayed on the screen, but this is just my opinion ——now let’s get to the food. I think that they had a decent selection, but it’s nothing different than what is offered elsewhere .I would much rather go to the location on Bandera because the only thing that I really saw as “super good “per se, was the fact that they Cooked some of the stirfry fresh .- the oysters are NOT the best though , . Here’s some pictures that I uploaded like I said just my opinion, but I don’t think it was the best. I think service was a little slow and not the friendliest of staff however we were welcomed by the greeters .I’m referencing the people coming up to the table. I wouldn’t travel to go there, but I would go back if I were in the area I guess but nothing that I would rant and rave about

Upset that they didn't have mongolian beef. Have a very good selection of different meals. Egg drop soup needs a little work. Salad bar had no cucumbers. For a garden salad. Chocolate chip cookies could have been nice. Restaurant is very pleasing on the eyes.

The staff was friendly and helpful when we came in and the atmosphere was nice, at first the food came out well however when my grandma went for a second plate she went for sesame chicken and ended up with several raw pieces, I told the staff and they just shrugged, looked at the chicken and threw it away, I’m giving this establishment two stars due to the raw chicken, that could have ended in food poisoning had we not caught it

Since Asian Buffet has closed, I decided to make a visit with a friend, only to be thoroughly disappointed. The atmosphere left much to be desired. The visit happened to be on a Saturday, and much to my dismay, it was horrible. It was quite busy, there was loud chitter-chatter the entire time, crying children, and a Happy Birthday sound system that was sickening. I suggest in the event there are patrons in the establishment, that you take time to go DIRECTLY to customer’s tables to make those folks feel special. Don’t do it on an intercom system. I heard at least 4 repetitious Happy Birthday songs. So fake. Also, the food was cold, including plates and silverware. A big turn off. Finally, my friend and I were in the restaurant at least an hour. Never once were dirty plates removed for quite a while, until we had to flag down a worker to remove the dirty dishes. Keep in mind, customers who came in after we did, and sat directly next to us had their dirty dishes removed twice before we were ever thought about. Get it together. I can’t see spending hard earned money on such a crappy atmosphere and service. DO BETTER.

If I could give this place a zero I would, well if you eat here be careful,I went last Saturday with some friends and ended up finding a piece of Brillo pad in my food. First time experience with any restaurant with something in my food. When we told our server she hurried up and took my plate so I couldn't take a picture. The so called manager came over and said this happens often. So be very careful eating here. Because if I didn't see that in my food I probably would be sick as a dog. My stomach doesn't feel right ever since I ate here. I was advised to go get my stomach checked to see if I ate a part of the Brillo pad. This place might look good on the outside but it's not. After we found the piece of Brillo pad we left didn't eat no more, and will not be going back!!! We did call the health department and I hope they close them down. They didn't have a care at all about me finding that in my food. I guess they are use to it. Be aware of this place!!!

The waiters were nice and the place seemed cleaned. Just kinda disappointed in the food. Me and my boyfriend were trying to figure out what we wanted to eat so I thought of a Chinese buffet. We’ve been to Asian Star and it was delicious but we wanted to try a new place since we haven’t been before. I saw that this was the highest rated one so I thought why not. I would say that they didn’t really have that much to offer and that there’s other places that have much more.

The place is very pretty and the servers are nice and quick at their job, restrooms are clean. But the food here is either overly seasoned disgustingly or not seasoned at all, which makes eating here a challenge unless you’re blind into taste. I’d give this place zero stars in food if I could. I’m never coming back here and I’m not recommending this place to anybody.

The food was very disappointing. Almost everything my husband & I tried we didn’t like. We never waste food but it was inedible. The food is very dry & bland. The Google reviews are misleading due to the restaurant offering 5% off your bill if you leave a 5 star review. The place looks nice but the food quality isn’t there. Would NOT RECOMMEND!

If I could give a zero I would. This was my first time eating here. I read the reviews and the one in Arlington is great. Living in San Antonio now, it is a major fail to find good food. There was a wait getting in, that's OK it was a Sunday at 6pm. Once seated...we were right next to the dish washing and soda area. So it was consistently loud. Before we sat down I noticed the seats werent wiped off because there was food left on them. I kindly asked the hostess if we can get them wiped down and she said something to the young lady who has the section to come and do it, but in their native language. The young lady comes and wipes down the seats with a wet towel and then never dries the seat.😂😂😂 so we decided to wipe off with the napkins at the table. From the front door to paying, I felt like I was a bother to them! For this to be a buffet the selections are very limited. The food is mediocre and subpar. The service is lousy. The food trays were not consistently filled with food. The desserts are a bust. You know your dessert bar sucks when your sweet tooth children can barely find anything good. All in all, after sampling I only had 2 things on my plate that I thought was okay...the coconut shrimp and the fried shrimp. Save yourself and go to Lin's buffet. Better food. Better selection. Better decor. Better and more seating. Better service. Better treatment.
