Checkers like this are excellent with atmosphere as well as the service and food choices, I'm surprised they don't have checker board that acts as a saving & rewards program! Hmm good idea right Checkers!

I love their fish sandwich and the price is better than the other fast food restaurants . The service at this one was very good and being able to look inside it looks very clean as well. So if you like a good fish sandwich at a good price give them a try. The other food is very good as well by the recommendations of a few of my other friends !!

I personally love the food at checker's even though it's decidedly the worst food you can eat with a health-wise conscience...I only ever go here unless I'm really craving it or happen to be driving by one when I'm hungry

It's a nice spot plenty of parking. Good food. Super nice employees. Outside tables. You walk up to the window to order or you can slide through the drive through... there's 2 lanes.

This location has pretty good food and the location is convenient. However, if you go there by car it is a bit difficult to leave the drive-thru due to traffic on Grand Ave.

Located on Grand ave, in Baldwin, LI. Reasonable eats, several 2 for specials. Decent service, walk up, drive thru, burgers/sandwiches, fries, wings, shakes, smoothies etc.

First time visit. Didnt seem to be high volume (early evening Sunday). Took a while to get order. Staff was friendly. Will try again for that reason.

Food was fresh no long wait times and this location the chicken sandwich didn't have a weird almost ammonia type after tasfe.

Centrally located, but the building and grounds could, at best, use some touch-ups and, at worst, needs a complete renovation. I ordered ahead online, gave drive thru operator my number and picked up my food at the next window without incident or delay. Prompt, friendly service, quick in and out at 3 pm on a weekday. Just before entrance to highway, discover the loaded French fries are not in the bag. Illegal u-turn and I'm heading back to checkers. The young man who helped me the first time round quickly made a fresh order of fries and apologized. Mistakes happen. They rectified the mistake without a hassle and they did it fast. About as much as you can ask.

Had a 2 for $6.oo spicy chicken special . My go to sandwich at Checkers . Really upset they closed the location in North Amityville . It was easy to get to w/ enough parking to let you eat on their lot .

Service is friendly, sometimes it's a bit slow. Not all the deals avaiable are shown on the drive thru boards. The location is easily accessible. Make sure to check your order before you pull away because there is no turn around, you exit right into the street. They're usually good about getting your order right though.

I just feel bad at night they're very slow or understaffed.

Meh obviously not the greatest food in the world but honestly every one needs that comfort food sometimes and Checkers fries are the arguable best part of checkers. Also some of the worst mist expensive fast food you can get.

This is NOT a dine in Checker. ONLY pickup. I got the 2 for $6 deal, then upgraded it to for an additional $3.30. The two items I chose were a spicy chicken sandwich and a fish sandwich with a small fries and drink (meal upgrade). I pay an additional $1 to get the mango slushie as a drink. Also, I got a 3 piece chicken tender and a strawberry slushie. I forgot to take a picture of the first meal. Food was not bad and freshly cooked. Keep in mind that there are two different types of slushie. One has fruits on top of the drink (extra charge), and the other is without. I found that out after my purchase.

It's fast food I come here for the wings and some cheese fries usually but keep in mind that these aren't gonna be great. Still come a lot though because it's cheap enough and close enough of course plud the cheese sauce they use is oddly good.

The food that we ordered was subpar. Plz explain how you burn zucchini. Then say to yourself as a chef, this looks presentable, to bring to the table. And I took a picture. The reason they recieved two stars was because they gave her meal free. When we were seated, the waiter didn't give us a children menu, and it took more than 15 minutes for a waiter to come back and take our order. That is unacceptable.

Horrible service. Cold food. Cut you off when you try to tell them that they have your order wrong, then they have an attitude about it and say "well you should've said it earlier."

My first time there wasn't the greatest, I was very disappointed in getting the door shut on my face in the walk in. It could have been a miscommunication but not insuring the guest is satisfied before walking away, really did it for me.

I will never order from here again I order a large root beer and ya send me three milkshakes that’s not what I wanted it’s too cold for that and on top of that my fries cold my sandwiches was mid just a disappointment🤦🏿‍♂️

Went by today to get takeout and the lady that handles my credit card and my food was not wearing gloves or a mask. When I asked her why she was not being cautious during a pandemic and handling my food without a mask or gloves she answered “ we have them I just change with every customer” which was a lie because again, she gave me my food, drinks and my cc without any gloves or a mask. This place does not follow any precautions - and would avoid going there until something changes.

Got a dried up cold burger with cold cheese on it. Asked for them to microwave it and they had no microwave. Asked for another one and they kept trying to talk me out of it saying it would take 8-10 min to make another one. Lousy service...Lousy food. Won't be back

The worst checkers I have ever been to my order is wrong all the time. And when I try to correct it they argue with me I hope this place gets shut down very soon my last visit was this past Saturday and I will never waste my money with this company again !!!

Just took 25 minutes to get an order through the drive through. They asked us if we were still waiting for it three times before they started making it.

Be careful when you eat here. They serve customers molded bread and don't want to refund customer for their mistake.

I never seen a fast food place that was stingy with condiments until I went to checkers in Baldwin NY. I'm never going back there ever again.

Order food through DoorDash items were missing. Contacted DoorDash just to get a denial request. Also the Dasher contacted DoorDash and they still did nothing. Contacted the store number didn’t work. Had to take an Uber to the store which cost $15 going and then $21 coming back. Get to the store let them know what was missing and ask them to make the whole order fresh and they said no they were only making the missing items. Mind you the store was only 10 minutes from where I was located. So on DoorDash with fees and everything I spent $51. Plus $36 on transportation just not to get the right thing and still was denied proper service. Food was cold and old no resolution. Would not return back to this checkers. Customer service is horrible. For all the money I spent I could’ve went to a restaurant. This is so disgraceful and corporate needs to be contacted. Because what type of people are they hiring.

If you walk up to buy food instead of the drive thru, it takes mins for them to acknowledge you. I don't even wanna talk about the wait time. Extremely terrible. If you must go, use the drive thru

Horrible experience in drive thru. On friday 2-10-23, at 2:40pm, i went thru drive thru and simply asked for a shake, i repeated 4 times that i wanted a simple shake to where she requested 3 times over i repeat myself (as im hearing her play around in the background) on the last time i repeated myself i said my order a little louder and the b**** in spanish (not knowing i speak spanish as well) told me to "hit her then" which is completely unprofessional. Do not recommend which is why all checkers are now closing on LI

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. It’s bad enough that everything is already overpriced through the delivery services, and then you get trash for the money you pay. I ordered two LARGE bites box combos on ubereats. The only large items were the drinks. If what I received is large, how does small look? I will never order from this place again. They’re a joke. Imagine paying over $20 before fees and service charges for what I received. I tried calling the store, and of course there’s an issue with their phone. Go figure.

Everything was horrible quality . I received little to no fries for each three combos . The tenders were hard & small as hell . The MOTHER CRUNCHER came with nothing on it . Looked like they put left over scraps on it . My child caught a stomach virus after eating his burger . Very disappointed. $70 down the drain.

I just placed an order through Uber eats, and it didn’t give me the option to mix my milkshake (which I always do whenever I come to the physical location) I contacted the store 6 times and got no answer. I then proceeded to text my Uber delivery guy and asked him to relay my request. He calls me 2 minutes after arriving at the restaurant and lets me know that she is denying my request as well as said “I made the order 20 minutes ago it’s too late” I got on the phone with her and her excuse for not fixing my shake was “how was I suppose to know it’s not on the paper?” When I contacted her 6 TIMES to let her know. I asked her multiple times what is so hard about fixing a milkshake and her excuse was “I can’t” and “I should’ve said it before hand”. She was rude from the beginning of the phone call to the end. I am done eating here. This was Sunday May 31 at 2:15am. Whoever is on the register should be penalized for her terrible customer service.

Slow slow slow, always a huge wait before they even notice you're at the window waiting to order, even if they see you they often ignore you. Once the order is placed they are very slow to fulfill the order, even for simple small orders like just fries. They are always slow, even when they aren't busy. There are better Checkers in the region (Hempstead, Elmont, East Meadow), this one is consistently horrible because of the slow service.
