One of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Super cosy atmosphere with the log fire on and ski chalet interior. The food was incredible, each of the pastas were made fresh and you could certainly taste that. Excellent quality ingredients and delicious meal.

I had the pleasure of dining at Osteria "Il Camino" in Ballabio, and I must say it was an excellent experience in every way. First and foremost, the typical Valsassina dishes are the true highlight of this restaurant. Each course showcases the authentic flavors of local tradition, using quality ingredients and meticulous attention to presentation. The warm, mountain-style atmosphere makes the experience even more enjoyable. The welcoming atmosphere, with rustic furnishings and thoughtful details, makes you feel immediately at home, like in a chalet nestled in the mountains. Finally, the friendly, homey service was truly the icing on the cake. The staff is kind and helpful. You can sense their passion and love for what they do.

A very welcoming place; I've passed it many times but never managed to stop. The starter was delicious and very tasty, and the bread served with salted butter was also excellent. Everything was delicious, from appetizer to dessert, and the final treat of caviadini and torta paesana was delicious. Thank you all so much!

The two of us came here for lunch on a regular Saturday, and we absolutely loved it, starting with the welcome and the very kind staff, always smiling and helpful. We personally ordered an appetizer of mixed cured meats to share (€14), which was brought to us along with a delicious house-complimentary entree of sausage, bread, and cake. While we waited, we were brought another appetizer of polenta and cotechino, also on the house, which was delicious. For our first course, we had tagliatelle with lamb ragù (€13) and patole di s. Antonio (€13), the latter also delicious, accompanied by two glasses of red wine (€5). Then we moved on to two desserts: a berry tart with ice cream (€5) and a cheesecake (€7), both equally delicious. And finally, two coffees (€2.20), again accompanied by two complimentary desserts: coffee panna cotta. For a total of €75 for two, a complete lunch including water and two glasses of wine. I must say, I highly recommend it!

A charming and welcoming place. Lunch began with a delightful compliment from the chef. Everything was delicious: delicious appetizers, tender meat, and simply magical ravioli. I'd also like to mention the potatoes, which taste like they were cooked by your beloved grandmother. My friends and I were very satisfied with our lunch and will definitely return. 5 well-deserved stars! ⭐

Osteria con le caratteristiche di un ristorante moderno. L'ambiente è accogliente, spazioso, ben organizzato, adatto anche a tavolate numerose. I piatti sono della tradizione casalinga rivisitati con note di modernità. Il servizio è veloce e il personale gentile e competente. Il costo è adeguato al menù.

Tutto veramente buono in un ambiente accogliente con mis en place da ricordare.

At the osteria, the fireplace feels almost like a mountain refuge, with its central fireplace and a mix of wood and stone. We had a truly wonderful time, with friendly, welcoming staff and just the right amount of service. The cover charge includes a sampling of two dishes, and a small dessert is also left at the end for dessert. The appetizers were plentiful, and the first courses were just the right amount. For my personal taste, I found the patole a bit too sweet, but that's a purely subjective comment. Otherwise, I enjoyed the other dishes. Prices were average. Parking is available, with a few spaces directly outside the osteria or a little further along.

A summer dinner Restaurant on the main road, limited parking available. We dined outside in a cool temperature. They serve a tasting menu with raw sausage crostini and a cannoli with taleggio cream. We ordered two appetizers and two main courses with delicious freshly fried potatoes. I'll bring you fresh butter and bread. Dishes are well-portioned, excellently prepared, and carefully presented. The bill, no wine, only water, no dessert, is €90.
