Warm place, very nice German food and fantastic ambience with first class service. Was a recommendation from my father that I took it over. … This place has now more 90 years. I will repeat for sure. My host or the great professional who took care of me was Uruguayan, his name Richard. A real CRACK !!

Food was excellent, our waiter had a great sense of humour and was really patient when asking about food allergies and the different options. Prices are very reasonable. Large portions. Classic German ambiance.

Incredible choice of beers. German Wirtshaus-Atmosphere. Impeccable Service. Menu German and Tapas. Perfect Fusion. Biggest Schnitzel I have ever seen in my life (almost 0.5sqm). Good taste & quality. Frequented by young & old people alike, to my surprise mostly Spanish. Place to be for everyone. Two thumbs up.

Walked in almost at close, right next to our hotel. Staff were very prompt and helpful in suggesting items, being this our first German restaurant we visit. The spicy Hungarian sausage bocadillo with extra grilled onions and cheese were bomb! Cold beer, nice atmosphere and good food. What else?? Oh yeah, the blueberry cheesecake.. man, that deserve its own review. Try it!!

We have been here many times over the years and it's great to see all the same faces still working there. The bar tapas and sandwich options, along with good Pilsner Urquell, are always on our list of must haves when going to Barcelona.

Absolutely delicious! I had an upset stomach so I couldn't eat almost anything, but the waiter was so kind, he brought me a bikini sandwich (ham & cheese) with no butter and plain chucrut and they were both really good. My friends ordered meat and the portions were very generous. Incredible selection of beers!

Para Los amantes de la comida alemana es un buen sitio. Tiene una gran variedad de cervezas y los platos son muy muy generosos en cantidad.

Ayer fui con una amiga a este restaurante que para nada era lo que yo creía, pensé que sería un frankfurt sin más, y no!! Es un restaurante de especialidad!! Me comí los mejores mejillones a la cerveza que he comido en mi vida, si, también comí una salchicha, en concreto la húngara con un punto picante, acompañada de su guarnición: chucrut y ensalada fría de patata!! Buenísimo!! Y el camarero que nos atendió un señor encantador!!! La única pega? Que el wc estaba en la planta de abajo, para gente con movilidad reducida es una gran pega. Por lo demás muy recomendable, ya tengo ganas de volver y enseñárselo a más conocidos!!

Típico bar Frankfurt estilo Alemán, carta amplia de cervezas, y están ricas. Lo que comimos está bueno, no tiene el típico sabor de las franquicias hamburgueseras conocidas.

Lugar entrañable para comer comida alemana, su personal esta congelado en el tiempo dos de ellos son de cuando yo era un bebe… el tema es la poca empatía y ganas de no vender del que esta en sala: pido un frankfurt para mi hijo y no le pone ni patatas ni ensalada ni me ofrece plato infantil.. y me cobra por eso 4,30€ sin pan solo salchicha. Le pregunto para añadir otro frankfurt y pan y me dice que me lo cobrara igual pudiendo hacer un frankfurt doble… en fin voy porque el sitio lo conocí con mis abuelos y me trae nostalgia que hoy casi me quita las ganas de volver

Desde 1934 este lugar nos traslada a la más profunda Alemania. Con una gran variedad de salchichas y cervezas de calidad. Destacar su steak, te preguntan el punto de picante y puedes ver cómo lo preparan. También destacar el surtido de ensaladillas (Surtido “Heidelberg”). Excelente servicio! Y ambiente confortable

Excelente Frankfurt. Los Frankfurt están buenísimos y se debe al cocinero que está en la plancha. Es un Gran profesiona y con una altísima capacidad de trabajo!!! . Calidad, sabor y muy buen trato. Totalmente recomendable.

Typical German restaurant. Wilde variaty of german and catalan tapas, 4 draught beers (Pilsner Urquell, Bavarian wheat Beer Benedictiner, Klosters dark German and Pale ale). Very good prices for Barcelona centre location, beer quality and tapas are fine.

This place has been around for a while. Who would expect a German restaurant right in such a touristy area between Plaza de Catalunya and Universitat! The food is good, with a large beer selection, nice décor, and friendly service. I wouldn’t say excellent, but it’s authentic, fairly priced, and does the trick. Just missing a bit of atmosphere and music to make it perfect. 🍺🇩🇪

It's a nice option for a lunch if you want something different, something german. The wiener schnitzel (escalope) was a really good portion however a bit dry, the Mettwurst with potato and choucroute was good. Decent prices.

Nice change from tapas. They had my favorite Belgian blonde so I was happy about that. I ordered the jaeger schnitzel but it had more ham in the sauce than mushrooms. Good portions!

Service at the bar was dreadful, very unpleasant woman there. Food was fine but not amazing, more along the lines of german fast food.

I was very impressed with the decor and selection of German and Belgian beers. I tried the Urquell, Benediktiner and the Bittburger. For lunch I enjoyed the Sauerkraut. Ghe Sauerkraut was very dry, with some strange flavours, but I did appreciate the cloves (clavos). I had an upset stomach for a couple of days after despite eating mainly fruit, bread and olives. Would return to enjoy the beers, but my lunch may be something different.

The service was quick and the staff was friendly. We had the schnitzel which was quite big but felt a little bit dry. It wasn't served with lemon and it was missing some salt. It came with some deep fried onion rings which I can't say makes a good combo. I would have preferred a little bit of salad or tomato. The place is decorated as a German/Austrian eatery, quite simple/no thrills but enjoyable

El servicio ha sido lento (más de treinta minutos para que llegara el primer plato y 40 para el segundo) y tanto los tortellinis a los tres quesos como la escalopa romana han llegado a temperatura ambiente a la mesa como si hubieran estado aparcados en la cocina durante un buen rato tras salir de los fogones. Los cocineros han priorizado los platos combinados, que se servian con rapidez, y se han olvidado de mi menú clásico. La cerveza, el pan, el postre y el cortado han sido servidos inmediatamente.

Para no volver y olvidar. Mira que hay restaurantes cutres en Alemania pero este en Barcelona quizás lo supera. No se puede negar que es económico pero deben de tener un sistema de cocina único, capaz de traer en 5 minutos un escalope milanesa seco (de cerdo) y patatas absolutamente secas. Supongo que ya lo tenían hecho y el cliente no se merece un servicio al momento. Y el camarero me sirvió sin decir en ningún momento una palabra. Asombroso

Después de comer el menú del día me quedé con cólicos abdominales y más..., ha pasado 4 días y no he recuperado aún. Por falta de higiene en éste sitio estoy con infección gastrointestinal bacteriana. No recomendable a personas con estómago delicado, el resto se puede arriesgar.

The crab salad was filled with ham but there's no mention of that on the menu, the Frankfurt sausage and Grier used sliced Swiss cheese instead of Grier, and Even though there were whole potatoes ready to be mashed and the window of the restaurant would I received was powdered boxed mashed potatoes. I have literally had better German food at any other restaurant I've stopped at.
