Que delicia de restaurante! Llegue a él por las reseñas de Google maps y definitivamente merece más estrellas. Es un gran restaurante, comimos paella negra y es el mejor tipo de paella que he probado. El personal fue increíblemente amable, nos dieron a probar la crema catalana y es una delicia. Lugar muy agradable para ir a comer/cenar. En nuestro caso éramos un grupo de amigos, de entrante pedimos unas croquetas y finger de pollo, bastante buenos. Luego nos pedimos el entrecot, muy muy recomendable. El servicio ha sido muy bueno, atentos en todo momento. Finalmente nos invitaron a unos chupitos.

Desde que vinimos a comer desde hace un mes y medio cuatro personas y después tres hasta quedarnos dos trabajadores. Un sitio de todo la vida (de los que mas no gusta) para comer muy bien. Hoy disfrute del menu del mediodia y la verdad es que salio todo perfecto. Los huevos rotos con patatas y jamon, un gran clasico que nunca falla, quedo buenissimo. Luego una dorada con ensalada - un 10! Cervezita de barril, el postre tarta de chocolate y un cafe solo...todo ha sido un placer. La camarera y el jefe son buena gente y muy agradables. Os sabran aconsejar en funcion de las ganas/ gustos de cada uno. El restaurante es discreto desde fuera pero esta muy bien ubicado dando por un lado a via laietana y por otro lado a la pequeña calle trasera peatonal donde se pueden aparcar motos o ir a dar un paseo en la ciutat vella. Todo una maravilla. Gracias a estos que mantienen esos sitios de todo la vida que molan tanto.

Patio is accessible from the back. But there are many steps between the two and bathroom is out back (down steep stairs).

We went here on our first night and ordered paella marisco for two with a few plates of tapas. We had a wonderful time and were glad to kick off our Spanish culinary journey in this place. The price was much lower than other places nearby. We liked the food so much, we decided to return on our third night for more tapas/pintxos. Would definitely recommend!

A nice spot to go to after a long day. We were greeted by the nice gentleman upfront. We ordered the combination platter of seafood. This was delicious. Everything was incredibly fresh and a garlic type sauce was drizzled over top. We then had the oxtail house special which was like home cooking. It was beautifully cooked and well seasoned, the potatoes it came with had great flavor as well. These two dishes alone were very filling. We also tried to catalan creme, which was okay, but not my thing. On a separate day, we dropped in and tried the Russian salad and paella. The Russian salad was okay, it reminded me of an potatoe salad. The Paella was also good, with good seasoning and the seafood was once again very fresh. You can order them for one person here. This restaurant I found gave bigger portions (at least with the mains, unsure about the tapas) and was a tad bit cheaper than some of the other restaurants on the tourist strips. Definitely worth dropping in.

Good service, good atmosphere. Ramon is very good at making croquettes. The coffee is organic, the fish is fresh, they don't have any frozen food. Everything was delicious. We found this restaurant by accident, I was feeling like Pizza and we stumbled across this restaurant. It was a perfect 10. The pizza was delicious, I ordered the BBQ Meatlovers and a Mojito which was also delicious and Mum a beer. It was drool worthy all of it. We also had a shot of Lemoncello to top it off. Even though we didn't speak Spanish this wasn't an issue with a menu in english and bilingual staff that were super helpful with fantastic service. Located just on the outskirts of the tourist area with a relaxed atmosphere, skip the crowds and join the locals for a feast and few drinks (Oh, by the way did I mention the Sangrias? They were the best I've had on my visit to Spain) Whether it breakfast, lunch, dinner or just Tapas & drinks, you can't go wrong with Catedra Restaurant.

Un restaurante bajando por Vía Laietana por la acera de la derecha muy cerca del Ps. de Colón. Te atienden muy rápido, la comida muy bien presentada y exquisita. Calidad/precio es correcta. Finalmente, con un café te resulta una comida excelente en Rte. Cátedra. Muy recomendable.

El menú son 14'90 cn agua o vino, y postre o café, cn un suplemento de 0'60 cts si quieres refresco o si estás en terraza. Servicio bueno, bien organizado y amable. Si tuviera que volver, probablemente volvería. Postres ricos y caseros tmb. Baños limpios. El menú va variando y los jueves tienen la clásica paella. Tiene tmb 2 entradas

Me and my girlfriend had a late lunch at Cátedra, in Barcelona. The restaurant has a nice typically "Catalan" feeling to it and this is the typical choice for our meals in Barcelona. The daily menu has "firsts", "seconds" and dessert to chose from, besides bread and drink being included. In Cátedra you have a lower price if you only go for a "second" and even lower if you stick with a "First". My gf went for the full menu having artichokes (her first try) and then pork ribs. I went only for some meatballs. We went with the "house" red wine, which was quite nice. Artichokes were not the best choice, but they were actually well made with a nice sauce. The meatballs were tasty and the tomato sauce was home-made and delicious, not "just" ketchup. The pork was also very well made. The low point was that there was no choice of sides, only French-fries. The bread, as is the case in Spain everytime, was delicious. The desserts (cake with whipped cream and golden toast) were nice, well made and not too sweet. The amount of wine was equivalent to a full bottle. Around 30€ for all that plus two espressos was less than I'd pay back home in Porto in most places. We were very pleased and if you find yourself near the old Port or Gothic Barrio we strongly advice this place.

The place is nice and quiet and the service was mediocre. We ordered 3 dishes and It was my first time trying paella in Barcelona so I didn’t know what to expect. When our seafood paella was served, I didn’t like the smell of it. It has this unpleasant smell so I was not sure if the seafood were not fresh or something of the spices which the cook put into it. I tried a little and asked my daughter and husband to finish it because I can’t stand the smell. The good thing was they did not get sick after. However, the next day we ordered a Siritos Paella at another restaurant near Park Güell . It smelt fine to me.

té verde 2.40€. Increíblemente caro. No somos guiris, somos gente que va a trabajar. La comida del lugar no está mal pero con estos precios me acabaré haciendo el té en casa. Y entiendo que el local debe tener un margen, pero en el super una caja de té vale 3 euros y vienen 20 bolsas.

Tapas we had the aubergine with honey and scallops which were really good Unfortunately the seafood paella was utterly disappointing and inedible. Seafood was not fresh and tasted like it was off and super fishy and disgusting. We told the server that didn’t seem to care Would not recommend

Very disappointing. The waistress was fine but forgave us twice. The manager was awfull. My friend wait for her plate for ever. The meal was as good as this unpleasant experience.
