En pleno centro de Barcelona, en el barrio Gótico, menús muy bien de precio aún y en festivos, y opción de platos a la carta excelentes. Los postres son esquistos. La atención del servicio y la calidad de la comida es alta. Muy recomendado.

Una ambiente tranquilo con un servicio muy simpático y agradable. La comida estaba riquísima y, para ser un restaurante dentro de la norma, tiene una relación calidad-precio muy buena dada la cantidad y el precio del plato que probé (en este caso fideuá para 1 persona que me costó al rededor de unos 15-16 euros).

Espectacular su menú diario. Rápidos, variedad de platos y amables. Muy recomendable. Menú por menos de 15 euros!!!

Clean bathroom, cold inside dining or outdoor patio, speedy service, low prices (tapas €3-8), and the fried eggplant with honey was the perfect bocadillo (“little mouth treat”). 🗣️ English & Spanish spoken. 🛍️ I dropped my wife off here while I shopped in the local vintage markets. ♿️ Front entry is accessible. Patio is accessible from the back. But there are many steps between the two and bathroom is out back (down steep stairs).

We went here on our first night and ordered paella marisco for two with a few plates of tapas. We had a wonderful time and were glad to kick off our Spanish culinary journey in this place. The price was much lower than other places nearby. We liked the food so much, we decided to return on our third night for more tapas/pintxos. Would definitely recommend!

A nice spot to go to after a long day. We were greeted by the nice gentleman upfront. We ordered the combination platter of seafood. This was delicious. Everything was incredibly fresh and a garlic type sauce was drizzled over top. We then had the oxtail house special which was like home cooking. It was beautifully cooked and well seasoned, the potatoes it came with had great flavor as well. These two dishes alone were very filling. We also tried to catalan creme, which was okay, but not my thing. On a separate day, we dropped in and tried the Russian salad and paella. The Russian salad was okay, it reminded me of an potatoe salad. The Paella was also good, with good seasoning and the seafood was once again very fresh. You can order them for one person here. This restaurant I found gave bigger portions (at least with the mains, unsure about the tapas) and was a tad bit cheaper than some of the other restaurants on the tourist strips. Definitely worth dropping in.

My wife and I had a great time at Restaurant Cátedra when we stopped in for dinner during an over-night stay in Barcelona. The service was friendly and quick and the food, from the nachos to the main course, including the drinks, was all delicious and served quickly. Highly recommended.

We came here several years ago and decided to give the place a return visit. We were not disappointed! The same great menu del dia is available, alongside a main menu. Service was great, the food delicious and plenty of other people were enjoying the restaurant, too. Definitely a failsafe when in Barcelona, if you are looking for typically Catalan/Spanish food at a very reasonable price! We will be back!

The food was very delicious, very helpful service to recommend pizza for the kids. Pizza was thin crust and yummy! Black paella was great! Steak was delicious. We all enjoyed roasted potatoes with a delicious yellow sauce. Bread was a little too crunchy and too toasted, but still good!

Good service, good atmosphere. Ramon is very good at making croquettes. The coffee is organic, the fish is fresh, they don't have any frozen food. Everything was delicious. If you are on Via Laietana in Barcelona, it's highly recommended. For sure, you'll be satisfied. I attach a couple of pictures. It looks yummy.

We found this restaurant by accident, I was feeling like Pizza and we stumbled across this restaurant. It was a perfect 10. The pizza was delicious, I ordered the BBQ Meatlovers and a Mojito which was also delicious and Mum a beer. It was drool worthy all of it. We also had a shot of Lemoncello to top it off. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat this is def worth it.

Nothing sort of amazing! Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service! The best place for everything Spanish and then some, with something for everyone. Even though we didn't speak Spanish this wasn't an issue with a menu in english and bilingual staff that were super helpful with fantastic service. Located just on the outskirts of the tourist area with a relaxed atmosphere, skip the crowds and join the locals for a feast and few drinks (Oh, by the way did I mention the Sangrias? They were the best I've had on my visit to Spain) Whether it breakfast, lunch, dinner or just Tapas & drinks, you can't go wrong with Catedra Restaurant.

The Paella was really delicious and tasteful. The best Calamari I have ever had. They were a bit salty but perfect. The Bravas Potatoes were the best I had in Barcelona. The waiter was friendly and good, the food was prepared quickly, and everything was provided on time and quickly when asked for.

Buena experiencia. Local muy bien decorado con un buen menú, precio asequible y comida rica y variada. El menú son 14'90 cn agua o vino, y postre o café, cn un suplemento de 0'60 cts si quieres refresco o si estás en terraza. Servicio bueno, bien organizado y amable. Si tuviera que volver, probablemente volvería. Postres ricos y caseros tmb. Baños limpios. El menú va variando y los jueves tienen la clásica paella. Tiene tmb 2 entradas

Me and my girlfriend had a late lunch at Cátedra, in Barcelona. The restaurant has a nice typically "Catalan" feeling to it and this is the typical choice for our meals in Barcelona. The daily menu has "firsts", "seconds" and dessert to chose from, besides bread and drink being included. In Cátedra you have a lower price if you only go for a "second" and even lower if you stick with a "First". My gf went for the full menu having artichokes (her first try) and then pork ribs. I went only for some meatballs. We went with the "house" red wine, which was quite nice. Artichokes were not the best choice, but they were actually well made with a nice sauce. The meatballs were tasty and the tomato sauce was home-made and delicious, not "just" ketchup. The pork was also very well made. The low point was that there was no choice of sides, only French-fries. The bread, as is the case in Spain everytime, was delicious. The desserts (cake with whipped cream and golden toast) were nice, well made and not too sweet. The amount of wine was equivalent to a full bottle. Around 30€ for all that plus two espressos was less than I'd pay back home in Porto in most places. We were very pleased and if you find yourself near the old Port or Gothic Barrio we strongly advice this place.

The place is nice and quiet and the service was mediocre. We ordered 3 dishes and It was my first time trying paella in Barcelona so I didn’t know what to expect. When our seafood paella was served, I didn’t like the smell of it. It has this unpleasant smell so I was not sure if the seafood were not fresh or something of the spices which the cook put into it. I tried a little and asked my daughter and husband to finish it because I can’t stand the smell. The good thing was they did not get sick after. However, the next day we ordered a Siritos Paella at another restaurant near Park Güell . It smelt fine to me.

Very disappointing. The waistress was fine but forgave us twice. The manager was awfull. My friend wait for her plate for ever. The meal was as good as this unpleasant experience.
