Food was good, waitress was hardly there. She brought my food and didn't come back for at least 15 - 20 minutes. But overall good eats, I ordered the 2 item combo which comes with soup and salad. Miso soup was tasteless salad would of been great if it wasn't for the over spiced salad dressing. My Chicken katsu and tempura was great. Good amount of food and cooked to perfection.

Sushi is always a great idea! My first time visiting this elegant little place in San Dimas. From the moment we arrived, nothing but a great experience. From the outside, you can't really tell how nice it is. We visited for lunch; however, I decided to order outside the lunch menu. I could not be more pleased. I ordered the 1/2 roll trio. I selected the Crunch Dragon roll, Salsa Ceviche roll, and the BSC roll. All three were exquisite. Soooo much flavor in every bite. I decided to try the Butter Cake for dessert. Another winner. The service was great. Thanks, Nathaniel. You're the best! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Went for dinner and the food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh with good presentation and flavor. Staff is polite and fast and a nice atmosphere to dine in. The rainbow ice cream is a must try for dessert! A little expensive but definitely worth it for the size and portions. Had no wait time on a Tuesday night

My family absolutely loves this place. My wife made reservations and we were seated close to our reservation time. We didn’t wait much on a Friday night at 5pm. The food was absolutely perfect. It’s what you expect from a hibachi place. It is a bit pricey, so be prepared to spend some money. The staff is friendly and attentive. The chefs working there are some of the hardest working chefs. Make sure to take care of those guys too. They are not doing the “fire shows”. I don’t know if it’s because of COVID. But they are interactive with the guest.

We had a really good waiter. The California rolls were the worst I ever had. I don't remember them being just filled with a mayonaise and crab filling. It was very noisy, and not a good place to have a nice dinner with friends. We could not hear each other.

Location:Good,Parkimg:Okay, Service:Good, Food worth Price:Okay, Overall: I have been to another Shogun and both had good food. The lunch menu seemed a bit more balanced than the dinner. I kinda felt like we paid for the show without the chef in front of us. I may go back, but I do admit the meal was tasty...

Short wait to be seated. About 20 minutes wait to take our order after being seated. Ordered a Coke with no ice (see photo of all the ice). We also ordered a tea and the waiter insisted on trying to refill with water even after being told it was tea. Food was ok. Cooking show was subpar. Cook dropped a bunch of mushrooms on the floor. Waiter was waiting on multiple tables and was not very efficient. First time visiting Shogun. Not impressed.

Food and cook great... Our server I'm still looking for her .. really bad... maybe it has to do with the new owner ship ? But it was horrible..

Lunch 2-Filet Mignan & Shrimp. 1- Fried Rice.. 1-Edamane. Only received 1 lunch and No Edamane even though we were charged. We have patronized this LaVern location for dinner for many occasions. Will not do take out, it's our error my husband did not check the bag, we learn our lesson. Check your order before you leave.

It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either so normally that's 3 stars but price.... its extremely expensive, way 2 expensive for ok food, would i go back?NO!!!!

The food was okay. The service was okay. The light fixtures and all horizontal surfaces were very very dusty. Every time someone opened the kitchen door dust rained down on our table. Unfortunately we won't be returning just too grossed out. Oh and we made friends with a dead fly. Not sure why one of our wontons was not toasted but the other three were. The food was okay my husband was just very grossed out that every time the kitchen door opened and closed the dust would rain down from the light fixture onto our food or into our drinks.

Apparently if you are vegan according to one of the chefs that works here complains that, “…having a vegan at the table is an inconvenience” because of what exactly? Of course, this chef is not trained in hospitality nor customer service because you would never express such things in front of customers who are vegan or may have other dietary preferences! I would not recommend this place to anyone with dietary preferences, I would suggest the company to either fix your employees attitude or cater more to customers with different preferences! The actual inconvenience is how the chefs lack training in customer service.
